Reached out to manager via email and they never responded.
Sad that I'll never be back

B&R is one of my favorite spots, both for HH and dinner/desserts/drinks. The service is exceptional. Connor assisted us at the bar and explained everything. The food is great. I personally love the uni pasta and dirty potatoes with caviar. Consortium Holdings always has there aesthetic. The vibe is top notch and never misses. It's definitely a place to bring visitors or just to grab drinks with friends.

Great interior with a great bar while you wait for your table. Good place to spend a birthday. Rooftop looks nice too but haven't eaten up there.
My husband and I weren't able to go to Born and Raised in
My husband and I weren't able to go to Born and Raised in December while we were in San Diego, so when we booked our trip in July it was the first reservation that we made! Dining at Born and Raised is an event, meal experience and educational tour combined into one. Our server educated us in the difference between 10+ different cuts and types of meat, different cooking processes, glazes, sauces types of bourbon and origins of their top Italian white wines. He listened intently to our questions and didn't miss a beat with his recommendations. They were spot on! We ordered the meat sampler, the dry roasted rib eye and the hamburger( oddly enough best hamburger around- Little Italys best kept secret!!). The recommendations against the boneless rib eye were so smart, because the bone in rib eye was To Die For. Our sides were the broccolini, the Mac and cheese ( get it, you won't regret it) and the mushrooms- amazing! My husband and son ordered the Born and raised old fashioneds and were impressed. The biggest surprise of the night was the AMAZING espresso martini! I was on the fence about ordering it because it is so easy to make an awful espresso martini. Our waiter was so confident that theirs was delicious that he told me that if I didn't like it he would have the bartender make me something different. When I got it it was not only beautifully done, but delicious! The best one that I've ever had by far! A dessert in itself
At long last, I was able to stop in to Born and Raised to
At long last, I was able to stop in to Born and Raised to try the very very popular restaurant on the main drag in Little Italy. A friend visiting decided on B&R as her birthday dinner location after reading several reviews and pictures of the popular steakhouse on India Street. We made a later than usual reservation on a Sunday night (8pm) due to a packed weekend agenda. We arrived early to our reservation and were directed to the bar for 5 to 10 minutes while our table was prepped. The bar itself, I have to say was extremely nice. Definitely a classy, old school vibe inside (lots of gold inspo) and very welcoming low lighting for a a special occasion dinner or date. We were seated quickly at our table and our waitress was very attentive to her birthday. My friend decided on a Wagyu steak (5/5) and we split the table side Caesar salad (4.5/5), and some other shareable sides. I went with the pork chop (4/5)entree. Our drinks were also very good. The food came out very quickly and all in all a really really good experience for quite a popular location in San Diego. The lighting and decor makes it very instagrammable and yelp worthy. The bar upstairs was also very noticeably impressive. Very very nice bar ambience and definitely a good spot to stop in if you'd like a drink instead of dinner or just meeting for dessert. Will definitely be back!
Born and Raised Atmosphere: 5 Food: 3.
5 Service: 4.5 We came to Born and Raised for a dinner with our friend, and we started with drinks at the upstairs bar/seating area, while our downstairs table was ready. She had a sauvignon blanc, I had a Hugo spritz, and my husband had an Aperol spritz. The vibe was fun and casual, upbeat dance music, and yummy apps including the bone marrow and snails, and shrimp cocktail (my fave item, since it had a delicious cocktail sauce and capers.) The bread comes with butter, but I found the bread to be too soft and doughy, I prefer baguette textures. When our table was ready, we moved downstairs and sat in the dimmer, more elegant tables, overlooking the open kitchen concept I still love. I had the bone in ribeye, my husband had the bone in NY strip, and our friend had the filet mignon, all medium rare, and we shared the sides of mushrooms and pureed potatoes. The steaks were delicious!! However, we found the apps and sides to have too much seasoning and salt. This is a beautiful space. The service could have improved with more attention with water refills and getting our bill. Overall, I'd say it was a 4.2 rating. Would try it again, but maybe order other sides.

Ok right off the bat let's just start by saying what a cool place! Really fancy and upscale. Super cool old school vibe. The waiters wear tuxedos and converse. There is a bar downstairs along the dining area, and a spectacular outdoor patio bar area upstairs on the roof. I ordered the filet mignon, which came out perfectly as ordered (medium is my usual preference) was tender and flavorful. The sides really stood out to me, particularly the potato purée. They have a cocktail cart that can make drinks table side, as well as a dessert cart. Will come back!
Poor experience
Ordered medium rare steak and it was overcooked. Told the server and he just said sorry. They add a 4% surcharge to every customer and the server said nothing is passed on to the employees. Our Uber driver confirmed this restaurant is totally a tourist trap. Mediocre food but very pricey. Definitely won't come back!
Steak was overcooked and certainly over priced.
Service was good but won't repeat. Our Uber driver confirmed that this restaurant is totally a tourist trap.

Wow, what a crappy experience and I have been to a lot of places.... First you need a rez, I get that... got one and sat at the bar, if you sit at the bar expect drinks to be flowing (a good thing) but food..... forget about it and anything table side ? Ya no.... Pay extra for nothing cuz your paying the same price. As for food. It was pretty good, just don't expect the same quality if your at the bar vs restaurant. Aka your food sits there until some decided to get it. Very unfortunate experience from what I'm used to here but none the less, no excuses. Also, hostesses are more ignorant than a bull in a china shop, they need more training.

What a treat it is to have a restaurant like home and raised here in San Diego. ESPECIALLY if you get to sit upstairs on their rooftop bar overlooking little Italy and downtown. This place is such an experience from their amazing drinks to their delicious food. I don't think I have ordered anything I didn't love. My favorite thing ever is their espresso martini and the table side Caesar salad!! We got the steak sampler which is delicious but my personal preference is just a filet since I'm not a wagyu lover. The bone marrow is amazing and so is anything seasonal they have. Not to mention the service is top notch which exceptional staff. You do have to make weekend reservations fat in advance though. If you ever get a chance to go, you would not regret it
An absolute experience
Visiting San Diego from out of state. The place looked so appealing I went in on a whim even though it’d be my 4th stop of the evening. I’m certainly glad I did, because I had a wonderful time and was incredibly well-taken care of by Filipe and Hayden. I was solo-traveling for work and despite working within a budget, it was absolutely obligatory to splurge and go make another stop the next day. That time I visited the upstairs open-air bar as well as the dining room bar. B&E is impeccable in every way and with every careful and expeditious step they make. I cannot wait to visit again so very, very soon!
Nice atmosphere and bar
Went there for drinks only. We were seated at the bar upstairs. Nice atmosphere and attentive service. Large selection of drinks. Prices a bit on the higher side.
Classy Vibrant Upscale Steak House
The meal at Born & Raised was much anticipated by my friends and me. First, the valet parking is chaotic and the price does not agree to the restaurant's web site. The web site states is $10; however, the valet stated was $20. Unsure of the difference in pricing. When we arrived, our table was not ready even though the restaurant had sent me like 4 confirmations via text and email. After I voiced my displeasure, they cobbled together a table in brutal searing sunlight. Also, the fur chairs really look shabby and Flintstone-esque. Once seated, everything went well for the remainder of the evening. The decor is stunning like dining in a 1920s cruise ship. The service was very professional in every way. The restaurant rolls around carts of various drinks and foods. The cocktails were excellent (although the martini glasses a bit small). Also, the restaurant does not serve but two vodkas as the owners dis-like vodka. The shrimp cocktail was really good although not a classic shrimp cocktail and more like a shrimp salad in an avocado half. The NY strip was perfectly prepared as were the pork chops (although the waiter tried to dissuade us from ordering the pork). The mashed potatoes a real winner! The macaroni and cheese quite lackluster and I would not recommend. The wine list is really exceptional and the Chassagne-Montrachet we had was truly a great value and delicious. The bathrooms are up two flights of stairs. The prices are no more than most restaurants of this caliber. I recommend this restaurant for the service, food and atmosphere and would most certainly return.
Fancy
It’s difficult to dine here without reservations. We decided to try our luck at walk-in. We got lucky and they had bar seating available for us upstairs. Upstairs is an outdoor patio with beautiful views. The food menu looked amazing but we didn’t come here on an empty stomach so it didn’t make sense to order steak. Although the hot and cold dish such as uni spaghetti and snails were calling my name! Instead, I enjoyed a cocktail. My spirit of choice is tequila but none of the cocktails had that so my next choice would be gin. The French 75 has gin, lemon, grapefruit and wine. It’s the wine that creeps up on you! Absolutely delicious craft cocktail that’s refreshing, citrusy with a kick of sweet, sour and bitter. Downstairs has modern vibe with a mix of old Vegas but upstairs is where you want to be! Especially in San Diego you get that perfect weather of indoor/outdoor feel. There’s also a fire place. The mixologists dressed in tuxedo tops with shorts. Will need to come back when we’re craving for steaks!
Food is great.
Service is awesome. Ambiance is 10/10 date night. Definitely a favorite spot for me and my husband.

Food 10/10 Ambiance 10/10 Service 10/10 One of the best dinner we had in San Diego! Everything from the food to ambiance was impeccable. Jared our waiter was excellent - warn, informative, funny.
Kitchen and bar were slow. Caesar salad was disappointing. Shrimp cocktail was one shrimp cut in pieces with some avocado. Artistic but very light on actual food. The hostesses were sullen and dismissive. At one point there were more of them than us and none of them faced us to welcome us and get us seated. It was really off-putting and not a great way to start the evening. We ordered a second bottle of wine and it came so late despite our regular reminders that we were waiting for it that we had basically finished our meal when it came. We sent it back. Jared comped us desserts and after dinner drinks which was not necessary but we appreciated it very much. So, great waiter, OK food -nothing special.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Born and Raised in
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Born and Raised in Little Italy, San Diego, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, the hostess greeted us with warmth and professionalism, setting the tone for the evening. While waiting for our table, we decided to grab a drink at the bar, where the bartender impressed us with their knowledge and friendly demeanor. Once seated, our server Nick took exceptional care of us. His attention to detail and genuine hospitality truly stood out. He guided us through the wine and dinner menus with expertise, even catering to my dietary preferences as a pescatarian by pointing out suitable options and providing a vegan menu upon request. I opted for the local catch, and it was nothing short of phenomenal. Kudos to the chef for crafting such a delicious dish. Throughout the meal, the server assistants also ensured that everything ran smoothly, showcasing their dedication to impeccable service. What truly impressed me was the seamless teamwork evident throughout the restaurant. It was clear that every staff member was committed to providing an exceptional dining experience. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Born and Raised to anyone seeking outstanding service, a phenomenal ambiance, and delectable cuisine. I can't wait to return and indulge in another memorable meal. A special thank you to Nick for his exceptional service--it truly made our evening unforgettable.

I've never had a dry aged steak before and this was an incredible introduction. My husband and I both the dry aged ribeye and it was like nothing we have ever tasted before. Well worth the price! The mushrooms were a bigger portion than we expected for an "extra" and they were also delicious. Table-side Caesar salad was quite the experience. The apple pie cheesecake was to die for! Our server took great care of us, as well as the rest of the staff. The restaurant definitely looks as incredible in person as it does in the photos. I would highly recommend coming here not just for the experience but the incredible food!
We finally made it for dinner here.
It was on my list to go. I guess we saved the best for last. We made reservations for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. We were seated right away at a booth. The ambiance and decor reminds me of NYC. Our waiter was so kind and attentive. After introducing himself and giving us time to look over menu, he came back with a card he wrote to us in celebration !! In addition to the superb service, the best part was the adaptation they went thru to give me both a GF & DF culinary experience without losing taste nor presentation. For that, I wish I could give extra stars . I had their carrot soup as started and sea bass as main. So good. So yummy. Oh the crispy fish skin, the best. My husband had the meatball as started which he loved and he also had the sea bass. We need to go back, hopefully to sit upstairs for the next time.

The food is amazing and their service is outstanding! Thank you Matt for making our anniversary dinner spectacular! The restaurant is beautiful inside, the decor is stylish and old school vibe. The drinks were very tasty and they definitely use fresh squeezed juices. Their steak was cooked to perfection. I think the macaroni and cheese is homemade pasta. Definitely a go to steakhouse. Don't miss your opportunity.

Taste: 4/5 Value: 4/5 Presentation: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Steak tartare was just okay. Steak sampler was a great way to try different levels of steak! Dirty hashbrown side was delicious
Great dining experience.
The food, drinks, service were amazing. The streak sampler is a must. We had a great dinner. Thank you.

Excellent food and service! The ambience is amazing and the cocktails by Travis are a hit for the whole crowd! Chef Charleen is on a level of no comparison! The service was spectacular and the food is indescribable. Try the table side Cesar salad and the wagu you will not be disappointed the expresso martini is delicious! Best place to dine in SD Little Italy!

I use to love this place but the last time I came I was greatly disappointed in their caviar service!! Hash browns instead of blinis or toast points?? Hash browns have such a heavy taste that u cannot taste the caviar even the slightest bit!!! The Caesar salad was still good but the Mac and cheese was average. The filet I ordered was like any other steakhouse. Service was spotty
Birthday dinners for two.
No parking lot only open street parking. Difficult to find parking near by. I had reservation and was seated on time. The interior was not as elegant as I expected. I didn't see any tables, we were seated at a booth for two. No table cloths. Promptly waited on and received excellent service. The ambiance and dinner music left much to be desired, did not live up to the restaurant reputation. We ordered the 4 Steak sampler for two with mushrooms. The steaks were, prime ribeye, 35 day dry aged ribeye, American wagyu ribeye and Japanese wagyu ribeye. Wow! Wow! This was a wonderful experience to taste the difference between the 4 steaks. The quality and quantity was over the top wonderful. Each steak had its own taste and texture but the Japanese wagyu was unbelievable . The Japanese wagyu burst in your mouth with flavors and taste like nothing I have ever had. Plenty of steak for two. A meal to remember. Very expensive but well worth the cost for the experience.
Beautiful Steak House
In the middle of Little Italy a boujee great Steakhouse. Bar was awesome. Rooftop bar & tables. Unique experience at time of desert too.
Great scene and good food
Gorgeous ambience. Not the best steak I have ever had but a very solid steak. The service was excellent. Try the rooftop deck.
Great Food, Okay Ambience
Had very high expectations for my birthday dinner here and some were met while others not so much. I expected delicious food at a hefty price and the bread, Caesar salad made table side, steak sampler, potato and mushroom sides and carrot scale all met expectations. Asked for a nice table and we were sat downstairs in what I can only describe as an awkward shared booth with two table that had a foot gap. The whole bottom floor was arranged that way and it was not very cozy or appealing. I also note it was very noisy and cold. If you do eat here, I highly suggest the upstairs balcony. Overall a good night with great food but not quite to expectations.
Wanna be exclusive restaurant
I’ve been to this restaurant several times. Good steak, very expensive and nice ambiance. Last night went up to the second floor bar for drinks and the restaurant was half empty. They did not serve us because the second floor is reservations only. There is no need for this sort of ridiculous behavior when your restaurant is empty!
Born and raised to perfection
Amazing atmosphere, service was excellent and food was superb. Recommend a 400g steak of any cut you prefer and truffle ketchup chips. I say this as the portion of chips is quite generous. I ordered a massive steak and was not disappointed. They were able to prepare the steak medium rare throughout the steak. If you’re in San Diego and don’t mind spending a bit more than usual for a good experience I would highly recommend this place.
Great steak and desserts
Really enjoyed our dinner here. Like everywhere in San Diego, it’s a very relaxed place (it looks great but you can go there wearing totally casual clothes - we felt overdressed!). The steak was good if a touched over cooked. Dessert (the 7 layer carrot cake) was wonderful.
An Amazing Experience
Came here for our Anniversary dinner, and had a perfect experience. Make a reservation a day or two in advance. It's in the Little Italy area, so the whole area was buzzing. The ambiance and decor was inviting and cozy. The bar is one of the most vast that I've seen, and the upstairs open air dining area was nice as well. We started off with drinks, that were good and strong. For food, we had the 35oz. Porterhouse steak, which was one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. To accompany we added the mac & cheese, the broccolini, and the garlic bread. Everything was so good. To finish it off, we got the 7-layer carrot cake. It was probably the best I've ever had. It was so tall, we couldn't even get through half of it. Jason was our server, and he gave us top-tier service. I'd come back for the ambiance alone, but the food and drinks were wonderful. Be prepared to spend a pretty penny, but you'll go home happy(and with leftovers)!
Great Steak and Service
There ate plenty of choices for steak in downtown San Diego but Born and Raised is among the very best. I enjoyed an excellent meal. The Wagyu steak was amazing. I loved the carrot soup. Maybe a tad too much salt in the potato purée but still good. However, service was the highlight of the meal. Maria is a fantastic server. She knows the menu, made great recommendations, and was warm, cheerful, and helpful. Maria is a super star! Plus, the doggie bag is amazing.
Nice meal and nice amience
Very busy place on a Friday night. Lots of people in for dinner and drinks. Quite dressed up for an American restaurant as well, which was nice. Food was good. We both had fillet steaks. Husband's was a bit on the underdone side. He asked for it medium and some of the steak was the same consistency as my medium-rare steak, so he couldn't eat some of it. We had sides of broccolini and mac and cheese which were also good. Drinks were a bit slow and I had to ask twice for water refills, which on the levels of tips expected, isn't what I would expect. There is a dessert trolley with 3 different types of cake. We shared an apple pie cheesecake which was lovely and definitely for 2 people. The terrace upstairs looked nice for drinks as well. Definitely worth a try

They are trying to evoke a high end steak house vibe and at first glance the restaurant is really nice looking but the food..... wow, not even close in quality to Eddie V's or Lou and Mickeys. The young staff try to act like experienced waiters but with their bad attitude and lack of experience they don't even compare to quality servers. The steak was so bad that the wife only ate 2 bites , fatty, definitely not prime or aged. Like others mentioned, service is horrible, these youngsters try to act like experienced servers but there attitude isn't worth ever going back. Our server was so bad, he took our order and then we never heard from him again. Good thing for a your girl who was training with him, she helped out so much that I gave the tip to her after giving him a small tip on the bill. We told her thank you and to do the opposite of what he said to do and she would be great. The manager after I spoke with him who was also very young and inexperienced didn't do much except to give me his card.
Cruised down to born and raise to make up for Seneca short
Cruised down to born and raise to make up for Seneca short coming on Valentine's Day and I cannot tell you how thrilled I was with the presentation of the amazing food that was set forth tableside Caesar salad table say something, Diane loll We had an amazing time in our waiter made the experience much better with his excellent detail of the menu, and excellent descriptions of each cocktail. He definitely deserves a raise such a colorful personality. I really appreciated having him there that night.
My daughter made a reservation over a month ago for this
My daughter made a reservation over a month ago for this local legend, so I anticipated an amazing experience.First off, customer service is number one when I walk into a restaurant. We were greeted by a very kind, smiling hostess, which I appreciated. We were able to sit at the bar until our table was ready, beautifully design.Once we sat down, gorgeous, heavy crystal glasses were set for water, nice touch. We started off with the bone marrow burgundy snails appetizer. Wow! Savory, salty, and just enough oil on toast. We would definitely order this again. Hubby ordered the 18 oz ribeye medium, but it was cooked very rare with more fat than beef. He's not one to complain, but at the price he paid, he should have. My daughter and I shared the 20 oz. ribeye steak topped with a melted blue cheese melted crust, perfectly cooked but definitely too much of a blue cheese crust. We would've been happier if it was a drizzle of blue cheese, it completely overpowered the flavor of our steak. The roasted mushrooms with parmesan, garlic, and thyme were fantastic. The dirty hashbrowns were a fail. The hashbrown with creme fraiche and trout roe were boring and tasteless, sorry. Ambiance is amazing, customer service is on point.Dessert came out on this old fashion pink rolling tray, wish I grabbed a photo. Huge slice of chocolate cake with a raspberry sauce and mousse. Cheesecake had an apple pie crumble on top with baked apples, very good. The birthday macaron was sweet, soft, and chewy; perfection.
This place is an expensive "investment" but well rounded
This place is an expensive "investment" but well rounded place full of class with table side Cesar salad creations though I wish they enforced dress codes a bit more. I had the 18 oz dry aged ribeye and sampler of wagyu. Each person to eat well here better come with $120+ I didn't see valet here but maybe that starts at dinner hour. I miss this style of service. The environment is very nice with unique pillars for architecture. They dim the lights so on the plus side if your date isn't a 10; you can at least get drink and pretend that person is ;-)
5 stars all the way! Love the ambiance and great gatsby
5 stars all the way! Love the ambiance and great gatsby decor. If you look closely there's Wu-Tang symbols all over the restaurant. I've been to Born & Raised three times now and the food and service is always consistent. Expensive prices but you get what you pay for. You have to start off with a drink upstairs at their beautifully decorated bar. It has a cool view with lovely cherry blossom trees. Definite photo op. My husband orders the house Manhattan every time. For dinner, we like their cesar salad made table side with any steak that is always cooked to perfection topped with a béarnaise sauce, yum! They used to have a delicious baked pheasant dish served with potatoes covered in glass bowl that had an amazing presentation with smoke. They have reinvented the dish and now it's just a piece of baked chicken with some kind of brown sauce. Same presentation but the dish is not as tasty or hearty. We love love love their dirty hash browns covered in a cream sauce and caviar. Omg! Lastly, you have to order their famous carrot cake. This last visit was for my husband's birthday so I let him pick the dessert. He ordered the apple crumb cheesecake. It was good but I wished he got the carrot cake. I definitely recommend Born & Raised for any occasion.
Really fantastic food and good service.
Nice atmosphere too. We will definitely go back!
Born and Raised is located in the heart of Little Italy
Born and Raised is located in the heart of Little Italy downtown. Although there is valet right outside, BAR does not participate with this group, so prepare ahead/to find parking. My guests and I arrived five minutes before reservation. Even with that, we still had to wait. Electing for rooftop seating, the timing with sunset and downtown SD cityscape in the background gave way to a very sweeping and alluring experience. Our waitress was attentive and at times was flustered, but she did her best. Once drinks and appetizers came, the beverages replenished in time. For dinner, most of my guests opted for the ribeye, and sides were shared from crispy marbled potatoes, dirty hashbrowns, mac and cheese, and legumes. All were delicious, most especially the dirty hashbrowns. We did get the tableside caesar. While the service was outstanding and dressing indeed fresh, the size was on the small side. The bone in ribeye was perfect, and one 20oz can be shared. All desserts are made in-house, and they change with the rest of the menu according to season. We especially enjoyed the carrot cake. Perfect to top the palate, dessert port, and grant a wish for a very special birthday occasion. Oh, and that WuTang macaron? Deliciously fun, thank you Chef. All in all, a great dinner for my guests and I.Why one star knocked off? You get no sympathy if you're running late for your reservation, even if you call. Only 10min allowance, and you're not guaranteed your table. Save the call unless you want a headache... good riddance.
This place is amazing! Words cannot do it enough justice
This place is amazing! Words cannot do it enough justice but the atmosphere and experience are one of a kind. The food was incredible and our server Matty couldn't have been more personable, wonderful, and attentive. We got the tuna tartare that came with caviar and was incredible! Also the seasonal soup was a carrot and ginger that was so delicious! The dirty hashbrowns are a must and we did the steak sampler for two that was a nice treat and insanely delicious. We cannot wait to come back here and loved every part of our dining experience!
Our favorite date night indulgent destination.
Best steak (splurge on the wagyu), best ambiance, and delicious cocktails (Fav's: FRENCH 75 & CARL'S CLUB)

There is great hype about this restaurant and we've literally wanted to give it a try for years but various circumstances blocked the way. So finally tonight, my wife treated me to B&R to celebrate my 60th birthday and I was fully prepared to embrace some of the finest steaks and service that our sea side town has to offer........... While there were some upsides amongst the appetizers, there was a painfully long gap between them and a delicious table side Caesar salad (attributed to a shortage of carts??) and the steaks. So here's where the big disappointment arrives... while the wagyu was pretty sweet, and the the filet was on par with what I can readily produce at home at 1/10th the price, the ribeyes were so tough and leathery that the razor edged Japanese knife provided could barely penetrate their surface.Yes, there were some upsides to this culinary adventure, but certainly not competitive with other local high end steak offerings (like Cowboy Star). Our wallet departed less $1200.00 and we remain hungry and feel a bit betrayed...

I heard about this place from a friend that told me that i have to try it when I'm in San Diego, and which I did. We were a party of 4 and we're celebrating a birthday, our reservation was at 10:45pm but we had plans prior and they got cancelled so we went in a bit earlier. We signed in with the host and she said as soon a spot opens we will be seated. While waiting we had a drink at the bar, the first thing that caught my attention was how beautiful the place was. Beautifully and elegantly designed. The bar was really nice and the bartender took our drink order right away and they were really good. Our host got our table ready and we were seated and greeted right away. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and entrees " see pictures" The Caesar salad was my favorite, they make and toss the salad right in front you, was very interesting and entertaining, not many places do that so 5/5. For the entrees they were ok. We had the full lobster which lacked flavors and the beef Weligton which the sauce had a very strong flavor so not my favorite. I'm sure other entrees are pretty good so can't wait to try something else next time I'm in San Diego. P.S. portions are big and generous. Service was top notch, our server was on top of everything and kept checking on us. Recommended!
Very fun experience.
We really enjoyed eating at the bar, sort of tapas style by pairing drinks with the side dishes. It is SUCH A COOL atmosphere, offering two different environments depending on your mood and noise preference, and I suppose weather as well.
Came in at 4:00pm to go to happy hour on my birthday.
Was so excited to go in and have food and drinks as happy hour is from 3:00 -4:30PM (It even says so on their Instagram). However the hostess turned me away and said they stopped seeing for happy hour already. At 4pm you stopped seating tables for you happy hour? Weird. I think what's worse is that she Just told me point blank with a slight "I'm better then you" attitude and wasn't apologetic at all. Which honestly sucked, especially because it was my birthday. But I have been to born and raised before and had prior good experiences!

One of the only places I've been where they can make a proper drink. It's worth it to spring for the table side bartenders. You're paying for the experience and the atmosphere. This is my weekend go to!

* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* BraveCloth47, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* BraveCloth47 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to BraveCloth47 for any questions Peter may have as BraveCloth47 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* BraveCloth47 now uses their connections at Born and Raised San Diego to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If BraveCloth47 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, BraveCloth47 receives the $200 reward which is credited to BraveCloth47's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Born and Raised San Diego!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
