Casa Don Alfonso Clayton Reviews
Not great
The food had no seasoning. The cheese wheel special had no sauce, seasoning, or cheese and only about a cup of noodles. I would recommend the lasagna or steak.

Awful!! No wonder two years ago you couldn't get a reservation here, now on a Friday night you walk in and it is almost empty. The service was so bad, couldn't get a waiter to bring us drinks, and when he did he made some crude comment. H
First timer to this place.
Overall we had good experience - sat at the patio section and weather was great. Service was awesome and I felt the waitress was overdone with sweetnesses, it was fine. The indoor siting area was great. You know you were in a high-end hotel and I lov

I can't thank Juan Pablo and the entire team at Casa Don Alfonso enough. I recently got engaged at the Ritz-Carlton, and they played such a special role in making it one of the most unforgettable nights of my life. Juan Pablo and the staff went
This is a tough review to write.
When you know a place is fabulous and you've had great experiences before, your expectations are high as they always deliver. Until they don't. This was that visit. Disappointed actually. Normally, this place is a 10 out of 10 on every le

Where to start??? How about the entrance, which is gorgeous! You can't help but look up to admire the beautiful glass fixtures giving St. Louis a serious Italian glow up. As a smaller table, we were seated in the bar which was kind of a mixed
I've had better service at a Chili's.
We wanted to order dessert but since service was nonexistent we didn't. I got the meatballs which were fine, I've made better meatballs myself at home and my partner got the catch of the day which he liked. Also, the chairs to the tables ar

The atmosphere is really nice and the wine was lovely, this miss was essentially all of the food aside from the salad and dessert. Quite possibly the worst pasta I have ever eaten, and the steak was severely overcooked. I would guess that majority of

Visited Casa to try out their happy hour and the much-hyped spritz tower. Unfortunately, we missed the patio happy hour window--it had ended and the outdoor space was too cold. Luckily, we were still able to get the happy hour pricing indoors. The sp
Food was well priced for the location.
Portions are lite but tasty. Drinks were average and did take a while to receive. Decent meal but nothing outstanding.
The food was.
.. interesting. Our table started with the farmer's board which was decent. Not a wife variety, but tasty nonetheless. I had the chicken with eggplant which I regretted. It was very...wet and Overall pretty bland. Another ordered the deep fried
Special Martinis in Elegant Setting
I visit STL frequently and always stay at the elegant Ritz. The bar at Casa Don Alfonso is always a great way to start my quick trip. The drinks are original and bartenders welcoming. Today, Carrington prepared me a great Amaro drink or two and a ti
Ride hostess
The hostess was extremely rude. We got there early and checked in and I started to say we are early and she cut me off and almost yelled at me that they didnโt start seating until 11am. She just cut me off and was really really rude. She was a larg
Excellent apps and bartenders. Food and speed of service was OK.
If we were here only for drinks and apps at the bar, then this could 5 stars. Unfortunately, the speed of service, the meal and dessert were not up the standards of the price and ambiance. The waitstaff was very friendly, but we felt like they were o
Christmas Eve Delight

Wow! Can not recommend
Service was pretentious and food totally disappointing. Cold pasta and slow service. There was 8 in our party so I had to make reservation directly with restaurant. I was explained the rules on cancellation rudely and one too many times. I think I
Gorgeous atmosphere, average food and horrible service
We had lunch here a couple times before COVID and the sea bass was some of the best we have ever had. So this year for our annual Saturday night after Thanksgiving dinner - three brothers and their spouses (one couple is from out of town) - we chose
Donโt bother with Casa Don Alfonso
Deeply disappointed in Casa Don Alfonso in the Ritz Carlton in Clayton Mo. If you want an upscale Italian meal & service go to Tony's a block down the street. For over $300, nothing was remarkable. Grilled octopus and chickpea sauce were ta
Could be a 5 star restaurant
We left feeling a bit disappointed. The place is absolutely gorgeous, and our waiter Juan was awesome- the best part of the night. We counted 8 chefs in the beautiful open kitchen and our food was served lukewarm! The tagliatelle shrimp and the meatb

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Casa Don Alfonso Clayton at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Casa Don Alfonso Clayton page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* PatientCloth46, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's $200 bid.
* PatientCloth46 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to PatientCloth46 for any questions Peter may have as PatientCloth46 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* PatientCloth46 now uses their connections at Casa Don Alfonso Clayton to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If PatientCloth46 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, PatientCloth46 receives the $200 reward which is credited to PatientCloth46's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Casa Don Alfonso Clayton!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
