My first time here, was truly an experience.

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Ashley C. on 07/25/2024

My water glass was never empty. Service was very attentive and knowledgeable. Food was amazing. I was honestly afraid to try the Beef Wellington since I usually like my meat cooked at a minimum of medium, but more often Medium well but it was soooo delicious and not bloody at all. Mac n cheese was also great. Elote corn was good but a little too spicy for me but still ate it. Definitely recommend at least trying this place at least once if you want a fine dining experience.

The Ambiance is meh. For an expensive place it did not feel comfortable. The Food was just Ok. We have been to many fine dining restaurants so the family knows what to expect. The food was not a "Wow". Just ok.

Manager was awful

1/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Chris B on 07/20/2024

Good service, what I had of my meal was good. dresses up, but dress code not enforce. no silverware at the table, appetizer came, waited for 20 mins for silverware, then silverware was taken, another dish came out, waited another 20 mins for silverware, finally decided to leave, waitress was kind, but went and got the manager, which I didnโ€™t ask for, just asked for the check. he was rude. I said, weโ€™ve been here for an hour and we never get silverware. he corrected me and said we were there for 45 mins. Okay, fine, but still rude. he said โ€œeat this, on me.โ€ we still didnโ€™t have silverware. it was bazar. We weโ€™re so excited to go, and sadly very very let down. the waitress was great, and busy, donโ€™t get me wrong, and what we ate was great, but the manager really left a bad taste in my mouth, and we didnโ€™t even ask for him!! Im not a โ€œI want the managerโ€ type of person! we politely asked for the check. that was it. But that man was so rude! Get a better manager! if we just got the check and left, and never saw the manager, which I didnโ€™t want, I wouldnโ€™t even be writing this review! He ruined it, he made it a bad experience.

2/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Nick B. on 07/20/2024

We did the prixe fixe menu thinking it was the specialty of the house. The Cesar salad was basic and like any other Cesar salad but excessively drenched in dressing. The Wellington was raw. The little I ate was very bland and had no flavor. The asparagus was not edible. It was too hard and covered in an aรฏoli. The dessert was the best thing, but nothing to write home about. Extremely disappointed. To make matters worse, this hotel is straight out of the 80s. The smell of cigarettes was overwhelming, and a couple people were openly smoking pot.

Dinner from Hell

2/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Michael E on 07/19/2024

This journey to Hellโ€™s Kitchen was more like a journey to Hell. The cocktails both came out wrong. I ordered a Makerโ€™s Mark Manhattan's on the rocks and got it served up. My wife ordered the Smoking Barrel and they left out the branded orange rind. Letโ€™s not forget the $3 up charge for making a cocktail instead of a neat drink. Isnโ€™t that a bartenderโ€™s job? Just ridiculous. The main issue of the night was the Caesar Salad that was served with bland dressing, burned Parmesan chips, and the yummy tip of a blue glove!! We called the manager over to show him, he shrugged, took the salad away and brought us a new one. Sorry we bothered him. We could not eat the replaced salad as it was just as bad, even without the glove. The entrees (Filet and New York strip) were just OK. We are from Texas and we know great steaks. These were nowhere close. The Bearnaise sauce was good but the wine demi glace was bland. A1 sauce would have been better. The sides were meh. The macaroni and cheese had no cheese taste and the corn was just ok. Roasted corn you can get from a taco truck has much more flavor. When one spends $200+ for two on a dinner, one expects perfection. The service was adequate but not exceptional. They did give us a free dessert, but that was too little, too late. We had to flag the waiter many times for this and that as they seemed understaffed. This restaurant is coasting on Gordon Ramseyโ€™s name and it will soon sully his reputation. Overall just a really unpleasant experience and really a lowlight of our vacation.

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Rajbir S. on 07/19/2024

We were visiting Lake Tahoe for my birthday weekend and really wanted to dine at Hells Kitchen. I was looking forward to the experience and it didn't disappoint. We got a late dinner reservation and since the restaurant is in the casino, it was pretty busy and lively. We were seated right away and attended. The server shared some popular recommendations. We ordered Scallops in green pea sauce, beef Wellington, foie gras, roasted corn, sea bass. Scallops were succulent and perfectly charred. Beef Wellington was medium rare and absolutely divine. I personally didn't like the taste of foie gras. For desserts, we got the chocolate cake but the server brought out a complementary sticky toffee pudding with a candle and it ended up being the better tasting dessert of too. Overall, amazing meal and great experience. Worth coming again.

Lovely atmosphere here at Hell's Kitchen.

4/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Elna P. on 07/18/2024

We sat up at the bar to watch the copa america soccer finals. We ordered a few cocktails and food items. The flavors were allllll there between the octopus and lobster risotto. However, the octopus was tough and the risotto was undercooked. In addition to that, we ordered the sea bass which was lovely. Cooked perfectly but I do have to say, it reminded us of a fillet o fish sandwich from McDonalds. The hellfire club was amazing! The coconut foam was so yummy that I ordered two of those. The market margarita was nice and a bit different; it tasted nice and refreshing from the cilantro.

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Russell R. on 07/17/2024

Lindsey and James, who helped us from behind the bar where we sat, were great. Allowed tastings, did not push us on the time, and made quality suggestions. Behind the bar a large screen played Gordon Ramsey television appearances. I think he actually lost once or twice, so cheers for authenticity. Meatballs were good. Could have used a bit more fire -- spice, heat, picante -- but overall nice indeed. The Caesar salad was loaded and the croutons -- never met a carb I didn't like -- were fresh made and garlicky. Drinks were crafted and not too pricey. Even Lindsey shared her love of fernet with me so the party rocked on. And, shhhh, top secret : the dessert, some bread pudding Carmel whatever it was? I don't eat dessert but this was so light and enjoyable that I'd even think of ordering my own next time. Nahhhhh. Well .... Maybe. Check it out. On the casino floor to your right as you head to the back. -- workingman's gourmand.

I recently went to Hell's Kitchen for my birthday.

1/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Tanya B. on 07/16/2024

It was so disappointing. I ordered the Beef Wellington with wine pairing. All (party of 6) of our food was cold and unfortunately my wine pairing was timed poorly. I would get the wine after the food came out and I was almost ready for the next course. My lobster risotto was undercooked as well. I really had high expectations and they failed in every way except for the wedge salad, sticky toffee pudding, and the old fashion my husband ordered. I thought to myself this can In no way be acceptable but evidently it was. I sent my food back and it returned with the beef Wellington hot but the sides were still cold. I just gave up at that point. The manager did come out but he didn't really do anything but send out dessert. They probably need a visit from Gordon himself because no way this would even come close his lowest standards.

Once is enough

2/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Frieserchrissy on 05/09/2024

As a special treat we went to Hells Kitchen in Harveyโ€™s in Lake Tahoe. We had booked a table for four to celebrate my 60th birthday. We had to wait in line for a long time and almost lost our reservation as they only accept 10 minutes delay. The staff was talking to a man with a baseball cap on and torn jeans. This person managed to get a table in the middle of the restaurant with nice napkins. We on the other hand were seated very much on the side where there was a draft and everybody sat with their coats on. Not any of the tables had tablecloth on! The cutlery was on the left and our napkins were without logo. We started with a cocktail, an HK Old Fashioned and a Smoking Barrel. The Barrel was nice but the Old Fashioned was bad, really bad. Strong so we all blew our top off! We ordered Lobster Risotto, Pan seared scallops, Beef Wellington, Filet Mignon and a special with krab and lobster. When you go out fine dining the least one can expect is white tablecloth! We sat there with our jackets on with tables that reminded me from Dennyโ€™s or Ihop. We saw our man who managed to get a table sitting at a table with nice signatures napkins! Food was nice but my husband makes a nicer Beef Wellington. Our waiter was nice, a bit rehearsed but nice! My birthday dinner was not as special or spectacular as we thought it would be. We all agreed that was the first and only time to Hellโ€™s Kitchen!

Hell's Kitchen is more hell than kitchen.

2/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Passenger04364719877 on 04/29/2024

As fans of Gordon Ramsay, we had high expectations. But they failed those expectations before we were even seated because the hostess could barely hide her deep disdain for customers. When the waiter came to take the drinks order and tell us about the specials he spoke so fast and mumbled like a child being force to repeat the alphabet again. We could only catch a word here and there. Maybe it was his scruffy beard or his disheveled attire, but he looked like he had a short fuse, so we didn't say anything. When he returned, I asked a question before ordering. His answer was deeply condescending, as if to remind me how unsophisticated I really am . It took forever, but our food finally came. Despite asking that my steak be cooked to well done, it came out medium rare. I would have pointed this out, but he did not return to check on us. Itโ€™s ok, my wife seemed happy and thatโ€˜s all that really matters. As a side note, I overheard two others waiters expressing that neither one of them wanted to be there. My wife has the lobster risotto and we shared Caesar salad. The salad was great. But we discovered pieces of shell in her dish that she could have easily choked on. But the dinner highlight was when I FOUND A HAIR cooked on to my steak!!! A HAIR... I was shocked and sickened as I already ate half. It's time to go. We quietly paid the check and got out of there. We considered speaking to a manager, but after we paid we were as invisible as Claude Rains. Over all - food was nothing special nor was the service and the vibe was just unwelcoming. Our bill was close to 400 after tip for the two of us. Although, if I was a braver man, I would not have tipped for this service.

You've read. my review. Title it yourself.

1/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Dreamer25130115560 on 03/28/2024

I went to Hell's Kitchen with my wife, daughter and grandson. It was my grandson's choice for his 27th birthday. The information available specifically stated,"Be prepared to spend $150.00," or words to that effect. Perhaps this statement was meant to enhance the expectations or to appeal to the customer's personal sense of self-aggrandizement. It did neither for me. I felt comfortable, however, when we were seated and our server introduced himself and took our orders. He was friendly and had a sense of humor. Nice. I ordered Caesar salad and the scalloped chicken. The salad was good and plentiful. The chicken was a disappointment, however; served on a thicket of kale, more weed than vegetable which seems to be enjoying an undeserved period of popularity. The chicken was not at all tender. I had to use a steak knife to cut it into bite sized pieces. The three of us have dined together on other occasions and usually we critique the service and the food and usually someone will say,"Well, at least the ___________ was good," by way of making the evening a success. This was not one of those evenings. To charge so much for so little in return is the height of arrogance. I won't call it theft, because I ate the food and I payed the price. I do not wish you well. Sincerely, Michael Kranzke

Sat at the Bar with my boyfriend.

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Theture L. on 03/22/2024

We came for the Sticky Toffee Pudding but once we sat we decided to indulge into some apps. We got the Kushi oysters (you can't go wrong with Kushi) then the Lobster Rissoto! So yummy, we also got the seared scallops, these were okay, the sear was amazing but the sweet potato puree wasn't really that great, reminded me of baby food but I'm a texture person so I'm not fond of purees in general. We were in town for our anniversary, which my boyfriend had mentioned to me and our amazing Bartender Lindsey overhead and sent us out complementary anniversary sticky toffee puddings! I'm in the service industry also so I love how she overhead him and took action to make our night more special! We came back later in the night to grab another sticky toffee Pudding because it's THAT good!

I love Gordon Ramsey - I have always enjoyed watching

1/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Joanna I. on 03/22/2024

I love Gordon Ramsey - I have always enjoyed watching Hell's Kitchen. Husband and I finally made it to dinner at the location in Lake Tahoe at Harvey's. Unfortunately, I have to say...not what we expected and a bit disappointed. We ordered lobster risotto, which risotto was bit bland and lobster pretty salty. New york strip steak, meat was a bit tough and a little beyond medium rare and also no flavor. AND then we had we believe a pound of king crab leg which was ok and we appreciated shell was cut for easier access, HOWEVER $140 FOR 1 SMALL LEG - CUT INTO 5-6 PIECES? TOTAL BILL $250 FOR : 3 ITEMS AND 2 ICED TEAS Also, it took sometime to get our food. I have to be honest, we most likely will pass up Hell's Kitchen as an option for dinning in the future. No offense to Gordon Ramsey as Im sure he doesnt have control over each restaurant. THE PRICE DOES NOT match the quality of food. For $250 the food should be absolutely amazing! For those who had a great experience and your taste buds and tummies were satisfied, Im glad it was a great one for you.

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Deannaolson on 03/21/2024

This was an amazing experience. Courteous and professional welcome from the host, we were seated promptly at our reserved time. Warm greeting from our server, offered beverages right away. Our meal was outstanding- I'm gluten free and I had so many options to choose from. We had shrimp cocktail and lobster risotto (hold the crispy onions to accommodate my diet) to start- both exceptional. We both ordered the filet oscar, it was so tender we could almost cut it with a fork. Yes, the restaurant is loud- but we could still have a conversation. And yes, it is on the pricey side- but for a celebration dinner, it was absolutely worth it. One of the most enjoyable meals we've ever had.

We were sat in a private room towards the back of the restaurant which was extremely necessary considering how loud we were during dinner. Our server was extremely nice and informative with the menu. The food was amazing! Will def come back to this restaurant again!

Celebrated my 40th birthday here, was super excited, but very disappointed. Food wasn't all that, my beef Wellington was so little and my lobster risotto tasted like cheese rice. Service was ok, they definitely did not like that we brought in our cake but was told by the local bakery that it was ok to bring In our cake because she's done it before. I'm giving them 2 stars because they gave us free dessert for our troubles of not being able to cut our cake. The experience was not that great and would probably not go here again. You would expect with the amount of money you pay over here that you would get delicious food, wonderful service, and great overall experience, but it was the opposite.

We felt very welcome when we checked in and our server was great. Our meal did not disappoint - the lobster risotto and seared scallops were definitely the stars of the dinner. We also had the beef wellington and pork chop, as well as the brussels sprouts and cauliflower. For dessert we had the sticky toffee pudding and chocolate sin cake. The sticky toffee pudding was delicious! The only thing I felt could have been improved was that that the food could have been hotter when it was brought out. Some of the plates were cool. However I still gave 5 stars as the overall experience was great.

2/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Michael B. on 03/17/2024

Ordered a medium rare dry aged New York strip, since there weren't any good vegetarian options on the very limited menu. It came out medium well, and the shiatsu peppers were RAW! You'd think with all the yelling Gordon does on TV about standards that the staff could get something as basic as a steak and some roasted peppers right. My family's food came out good but they preferred the steak and wine reduction I make at home. Overall after wanting to go here for years and finally getting in last week I really don't think the food was at the level of the prices they ask and it's definitely not Michelin star worthy. The lack of sides of veggies was also disappointing, a few spinach leaves and some undercooked peppers was all that came out with the steaks.

He is a huge fan of Gordon Ramsay! One of our bucket list! I just wasn't expecting that it will be inside the casino. I did not like the fact that when I walked in inside it smelled like cigarettes. Oh well got over it. We tried two appetizers Waygu Meatballs, Pan Seared scallops and Shrimp Cocktail (I think) I was savoring every piece I had and really enjoyed it. I can't explain how happy I was. A big recommendation. Food came out too long but I had patience within me. LOL We picked two Prix Fixe Signature Beef Wellington of course. Omg I would want one now. It is perfectly cooked it melted in my mouth just how it should be. I can't wait to have some more. Everyone there was so friendly, We also had a great time with our server took time to helped me out with my cocktails. Thank you we will definitely come back here!

We had another fabulous meal here tonight to celebrate my partner's birthday. As always, the food was delicious, the service was stellar (TYSM Patty), and the atmosphere just can't be beat. We shared the scallops, my partner had the NY strip with beautiful oyster mushrooms, I had the beef Wellington (as a mostly vegetarian, I had to go big or go home), and we had pint sized birthday sticky toffee pudding. Everything was melt-in-your-mouth delicious! If you're looking for a special night out, we highly recommend HK at Stateline.

Food - 5 stars.

4/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @P.J. B. on 03/10/2024

Price - expensive, as expected for a destination restaurant in a great destination, steps from Heavenly Village in South Lake Tahoe. We could not pass up the 3 course Prix Fixe option - scallops for appetizer, beef Wellington, and sticky toffee pudding. The sea scallops were cut in half at the equator and perfectly seared, served over a butternut squash purรฉe (right amount, not too much) with a small micro green salad. The Wellington was a perfect medium rare - individual portions not sliced off of a long tenderloin. If you weren't full after that the sticky toffee pudding was quite large - and a likely winner with the younger person who may really need a bit more and love this dessert. One star off for beverages that arrived AFTER appetizers. Two of us had the wine flight and there were 3 cocktails. One wine drinker had a cocktail. The cocktails should have come out before the appetizer - with the first champagne served at the same time. The person with the cocktail and the champagne should have gotten the cocktail first and then the champagne. That was the worst service moment. Liquids from the right, solids from the left, please! The prix fixe menu was sooooo easy-the expectations for the servers were not in alignment with the menu, the ambiance, or the price. Our lead server did a fine job with holding dessert for a couple of minutes so the ice cream didn't melt. It is likely that another table was a hair faster than us and got what was originally intended for us. Except for the bar/dining room botch, the pace is service was fine. Our reservation was for a Tuesday in a ski town - they did not turn the table after us. Skiers go to bed early. Glad we had this dinner at Tahoe instead of the Foxwoods casino near where we live.

4/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Susan Hurst on 01/27/2024

We've dined at several other locations of this restaurant and have always enjoyed it. The Tahoe location is one of the smaller ones, but that means it was also less noisy than others have been. The cocktail list is also a bit shorter here. We tried the roasted cauliflower and found it oversauced, but our bass and filet were very good, as always. We'll dine at HK again, but wouldn't mind seeing some new menu items.

Delicious! Loud!

4/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @NVTravellerLakeTahoe on 01/27/2024

The food was excellent, not ridiculously expensive ($30-80 entrees), and the service was professional. Hated the atmosphere. It's loud. Really LOUD! MUCH TOO LOUD for a fine dining experience, so much so that it detracted from the evening. The casino is also dated and run down, which adds nothing to the experience. As for the meals, the braised short rib was fork tender, the toffee butterscotch dessert was a total mouthgasm. The food lives up to the hype. The rest, not so much.

All HYPEโ€ฆ

Youโ€™re paying for a name. I love GRโ€ฆbut the experience at Lake Tahoe was average at bestโ€ฆand Iโ€™m being generous. Took 20 min to have our order taken. Water refills were grossly delayed. I wouldโ€™ve ordered wine but wow ($$$$$$). I definitely expect an up charge for alcohol and I have zero problems paying for quality. But good griefโ€ฆ$25/glass? Come on. Other reviews reported the service was top notch. Tonightโ€ฆwellโ€ฆnot so much. It was hum drum. Ohโ€ฆprepare to not be able to have a conversationโ€ฆmercy it was LOUD. Save your money and skip this location. You wonโ€™t regret missing the meal.

Lobster risotto is the best. Great experience wonderful service. I canโ€™t wait until Wolf opens up. We love Harveyโ€™s hotel and Harrahs gambling. Summer or winter itโ€™s like our second Tahoe home.

Worth The Experience

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @KnickerbockerJones on 12/02/2023

This was a fantastic experience. I chose to come here because I was really curious about the food. I really wanted to know if it was going to be good/edible. The food was great, service was quick, ambiance just like the show. I had the Mac and cheese amazing. Lobster risotto- this is probably the best risotto I have ever had. My husbandโ€™s scallops and Wellington were just lovely. The dessertโ€ฆthe highlight. Yes I will be going to the other locations. It is worth the experience. There are still things in the menu for me to try.

tourist trap. save your money

tourist trap we were all cited for a special night out. I will say the food was great. but the price paid meant it should have been. every thing else was sad. ugly cramped room. rude hurried non- greeting. disheveled busy server. cattle chute approach. clientele in hoodies and jeans. noisy. impersonal. it was ugh. im treated better at applebees. the casino is cheesy and there is zero ambience.

Hubbyโ€™s birthday dinner was delish!

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Sue D on 10/11/2023

We ate here on a Tuesday evening to celebrate my husbandโ€™s birthday. The food was outstanding and the service was impeccable. Our wait person, Sean, was so helpful and attentive providing us with an evening to remember. I had read some of the slightly negative comments on Trip Advisor and was really on the look out for problems at the restaurant. We had none. The beef Wellington was superb, just like Sean.

A nice but expensive restaurant

3/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @tahotart on 03/19/2023

This is a nice restaurant and the staff was very good and was responsive to our wishes. I was, however disappointed in my main course of Beef Wellington. It was overcooked and dry. I did not eat it. The rest of my order was delicious and especially the King Crab, Oysters, and sticky toffee dessert. Beware the rather slippery floors however. I slipped and fell on the way to our table for six. I just suffered some bruises and bumps. Staff was very responsive in helping me and making sure I was Okay. All in all it was an enjoyable evening. It was for a celebration of my husband's and my 60th wedding anniversary

Underwhelming

4/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Chris H on 03/15/2023

We visited the Hells Kitchen in Vegas recently and it was a 5 out of 5 experience. Unfortunately this location did not live up to that expectation. Timing was off on the courses and we spent 2 hours instead of probably 1. The scallops were a little over cooked and the Wellington and pork chops were โ€ฆ well just underwhelming. The drinks were awesome and the brussel sprouts were the hit of the meal, except for of course the sticky toffee pudding. Donโ€™t visit here without having it! Very expensive, so expectationโ€™s are high!

We had another delicious dinner here Sunday night.

5/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Catherine C. on 03/14/2023

Tahoe has been slammed this winter with storms and snow, but as we just live down the hill we were able to find a decent travel window and made it up to celebrate my friend's birthday. We went back to last year's original menu selections. We shared a bottle of Felino as well as the pan seared scallops atop butternut squash puree, I had the beef Wellington and my friend had the new york strip with maitake mushrooms and shishito peppers. And we shared the birthday sticky toffee pudding with ice cream for dessert. Everything was melt-in-your-mouth delicious and our server was friendly and helpful. Definitely a fun and tasty treat for special occasions.

Without a doubt, the food is good.

4/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Ariel S. on 03/14/2023

Everything was cooked to perfection. We got the Gordon Ramsay's beef Wellington special (comes with lobster and foie gras) and were glad we did. I did not think the wellington was anything special on its own, but the addition of the lobster and foie gras hit the spot. We also got the grilled steak strip with mushrooms, which I thought was way better than the wellington special. It was charred and seasoned well, and the beef was very juicy and tender. They also had seasonal salads and soups which were all delicious.Overall chill vibes (since it's in a casino), friendly service, and good food, but honestly isn't anything mind blowing. Worth trying it once for the experience and you happen to be in the area, but I personally don't think you're missing out on anything if you've been to any other upscale restaurant at the same price point.

Sooo disappointed.

2/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Corinna F. on 03/12/2023

Was looking forward to an amazing meal here. It fell short on every level except Dessert. Scallop dish lacked any real flavor and If someone hadn't told me what I was eating I wouldn't have known what it was. The beef Wellington was also quite flavorless. Not sure it had any seasoning at all and the puff pastry was more like Papier-mรขchรฉ. The atmosphere is loud and not well suited for an intimate dining experience. Save your money and done elsewhere.

This specific Hell's Kichen is located inside the casino.

3/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @DeeShawn R. on 03/11/2023

Parking can be validated by Hell's Kitchen for 4 hours and you can park in the parking garage next to the building. Parking garage is kinda sketch, as half of it is pitch darkwith burnt out lights. Elevators are super janky too. It's definitely weird being located inside Harry's casino especially since its pretty outdated looking. Staff was super friendly and the service was actually super quick. We were in and out in 45 or so minutes, definitely just right or under an hour. My girlfriend and I have only been to a Ramsay's Kitchen in Boston and we've never been to a Hell's Kitchen. The interior was actually more casual and less upscale. It's definitely not the one you see on TV. Anyway besides that, my girlfriend and I really wanted to try the food and compare it to Ramsey's Kitchen. We ordered both lobster risotto, beef Wellington, and went adventurous, beef cheek. The lobster risotto was a good size for being an app and it was good we both agree but it truly wasn't mindblowing like people have said. We felt like it was missing some kind of flavor for depth. As for the beef Wellington, if we are comparing to the one we had in Boston... Size overall was smaller, came out kinda cold, and missing the herby flavor. Lastly, beef cheek was good and I wasn't sure what I was expecting but it honestly tasted like a fattier red braised short rib. The polenta though as really good.Overall, we felt like Hell's Kitchen wasn't any better than a different Gordan Ramsay and not worth going out of the way besides it comes with a cost. The good is good though above the average restaurants. I do recommend if you've never been.

Food: Highly recommend the lobster risotto, my dad makes

3/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @Luke B. on 03/10/2023

Food: Highly recommend the lobster risotto, my dad makes good risotto but this was so good I can't describe it, it was rich, creamy and 10x better than everything I've ever had, I got the Rack of Lamb and it was perfect, the sauce and vegetables were great as well. Unfortunately they don't have it on the menu at the time I am writing this. I am currently on my way there for the second time. Anyways I personally don't like the beef wellington, but it was the first time so maybe I just don't like it. Service: The matre'd was so nice and welcoming. Talked with my dad forever, food didn't take long at all. Overall great.Ambiance: There is a dress code but people were wearing shorts and hats so it kind of ruined it. I think their was a TV but I don't remember. If there was that is disappointing. There is nothing visible happening inside the red and blue kitchen. So not what I would expect. Not fine dining atmosphere.

I ordered the filet mignon for an entree. The first time it came over cooked and the second time it came raw. (pic) The waiter said it was medium rare. Anyone with eyes can see that it is RAW. If I'm paying $65 for a steak I think I deserve to have it cooked the way I want, just was disappointed in that.

Planet-Hollywood-cheesiness with 4-star prices

1/5 by ๐Ÿ‘ป @MM on 03/04/2023

Keep in mind this is a brand for television star and not a fine dining restaurant and you might have appropriate expectations. The overall experience of this restaurant was a disappointment in every category: quality of food and beverage, ambience and atmosphere, choice of food, and service. My wife and I had a reservation and were seated on time . It took quite a while for waitstaff to make their way to our table: a trainee waiter and his silent overseer who stood on the other side of the table watching, making the whole ordering experience a bit awkward. As we were seated we noticed a strong fishy odor permeated the restaurant. The tables are packed into one giant seating area so there is nothing to deaden the sound of dozens of loud conversations. The walls have fake wood panelling and metal corner guards - it looks more like a ski-resort cafeteria rather than a fine-dining restaurant. The menu is limited to lobster and steak-type dishes. The waiter told us the "specials" which were mostly upsells to be added on top of already over-the-top rich food - he suggested Beluga caviar be put atop seafood dishes or lobster put on top of any of the steaks. He did not tell us the price of any of these "specials." My wife ordered a beer (there was no beer list to peruse, she just asked for an IPA) and I ordered the Pony Express - the menu's featured cocktail (at $22!) Listed as an "old fashioned" the waiter said it came in a custom flask that I was free to keep. Ten minutes later (I figured they were busy at the bar, not realizing that no barteneder would be required for my cocktail) he returned with a glass of ice and a small glass bottle (think mini-bar or airline liquor) with a cheesy printed "Pony Express" label and a plastic twist off cap. The restaurant's featured cocktail is pre-bottled somewhere offsite. The contents of the bottle were thick - more syrup than liquid, cloying, with a bitter-almond aftertaste. I did not finish the drink. Because of the lack of entree choices (if you're not a fan of lobster or expensive cuts of steak, I'd recommend eating elsewhere) we each ordered an appetizer - my wife ordered the scallops and I ordered the Wagyu meatballs. Our "meal" arrived maybe 30 minutes after we ordered. My wife's scallops were so thinly sliced that they looked like they'd been shaved on a deli-slicer. They were coated in a kind of Bearnaise sauce and another sickly sweet sauce and were slimy. She tried one and left the rest fearful she might get food poisoning from the undercooked seafood. She ate the small clump of diced vegetables in the middle of the ring of scallops. The meatballs arrived in a piping hot cast iron dish and were buried under an inch of gooey cheese and accompanied by polenta "croutons". The marinara sauce was overly sweet and sugary and the meatballs were very plain and uninspired. I left most of the appetizer in the dish. When the waiter and his silent menacing trainer returned to stand on either side of our small table, the waiter only asked what else we'd be having and seemed un-phased by the fact that while my wife had finished her beer, my cocktail was largely untouched, and both of our appetizers had only had a bite or two taken. We asked for the check and neither the waiter nor the trainer asked us if anything was wrong with the food - they seemed unsurprised by the nearly untouched food, though did offer us a to-go box which we politely declined. As soon as I signed the check (fortunately we made it out of there for just a touch over $100, I can't imagine how I'd have felt if we'd wasted $400 on such a mediocre experience) we made for the door, past the sales cabinet of Gordon Ramsey cosplay chef's jackets for sale at the host stand, and out into the past-its-prime, musty casino of Harvey's where half of the other bars and restaurants were shuttered on a Friday night in the middle of ski season. We headed out of the casino and found some street tacos to save the evening from being a total food disaster. If you want to blow $400 at Harvey's try one of the blackjack tables outside the doors of Hell's Kitchen. At least then you'll have a chance of winning something.
