IZAKAYA Asian Kitchen & Bar Amsterdam Reviews
Rude Manager
The food was good and the service was good although very pricey. The main thing that stood out during our experience was the way the Manager disrespects and talks down to her staff, especially in front of customers is unprofessional and embarrassing!
Zero service, bad food and horrible experience
a friendly and correct service with a bill of 600 euros for 3 people that is correct, bad service, mediocre food, Momo is tastier, furthermore a chicken tent with little atmosphere and very poor price-quality ratio, bad manager and way too less quali

Worst meal in Amsterdam, don't go here unless you're desperate!! Forced us to sit at the bar. I order 2 appetizers for myself, which I clearly stated was going to be my entrée and my husband covered an entree. They brought out both my
Great food
Overall good food and nice presentation of the dishes. Service was good and overall it was a pleasant visit. I would like to see a little more privacy/space. We were sitting to close to other people. The prices are high but for most of the dishes it
Shameful
This restaurant should be ashamed. Unfriendly staff that forbids guests to share a menu. The volume of the music is so loud that we could not hear each other. We left without eating and had to pay 14 euros for a bottle of water and a coke. It is sham
The Netherlands isn't exactly known for their food.
We stumbled across this place on our way back to our hotel and the food was ok. I really enjoyed the appetizers but the entree wasn't my favorite. The staff were also not that friendly.
DO NOT MISS IT !
I don’t extol the virtue of restaurant food very often, despite the thousands of write ups I’ve done on TripAdvisor / and I entered this restaurant while staying at the hotel Sir Albert, not too excited, but wow. I can only comment on the food we
Fabulous Asian Food!
Our family had dinner here last month while vacationing in Amsterdam. The food was fabulous and the service great. Our family of 6 including a two year old dined on many small plate options and each and every option was excellent. Fun atmosphere,
Tasty Japanese food and nice atmosphere
Outstanding small dishes like pop corn shrimp tempura or scallops in truffle sauce. The staff is very friendly, service punctual, a bit pricy and noisy but overall we enjoyed it very much
Family got food poisoning 12 hrs later on flight home.
Beware of raw consumption- especially all pieces of sushi.
Excellent Japanese and Japanese fusion. Gorgeous
Each dish was succulent and we know a lot about Japanese and fusion cuisine. Fried oyster, crispy tuna rice, toro sushi, soft shell crab tempura and Japanese citrus fish "amazu" and tiyaki dessert (small pancakes in the shape of sea bream f
Good food but nothing special
The food is fresh, but expensive. You expect something special. The food was similar to sumo. Food that was still on the table was taken away without asking if it could be taken away. Service was also friendly.

On our trip to Amsterdam we walked by Izakaya and I was intrigued by such a lively place serving sushi. I walked in to talk to the hostess but no reservations, booked solid for the next 2 nights. I managed to snag a lunch reservation for the next day
Yum
Lovely staff and delicious food if you are looking to treat yourself. I went solo and sat at the bar.
Top experience
The restaurant was amazing , decoration it’s nice The bar it’s in the middle The service it’s nice Food just amazing , my wife was so happy
Fish and cocktails
Amazing food, fresh fish, and interesting flavours. It is on the pricey side but good portions and the food is worth it, good cocktails too. Recommend!
Sushi extra special
Delicious food, the sushi and meat dishes are of very high quality. It's not cheap but certainly a taste sensation
Don't fall for it
Overhyped, but what an old-fashioned place. Sushi that doesn't taste like anything, not to mention the scallop. The one from the fishmonger is 4x as cheap but also 4x as tasty pfffff….
Nice food and atmosphere
Small menu, but sufficient choice. Dishes are small and quite expensive but taste very good. Service was very friendly and nice. Not sure if it’s value for money though.
Not to repeat
Extremely overpriced for the quality and service received. Some food came very late but they took out those dishes from the bill so that's a positive reaction. The place is a club with food where it's hard to have a conversation with the companion 50
Great place!
Unbelievable place. Great food. Cool ambiance. Excellent service. A little pricey, but worth it. I live in New York City and this is as good as any upscale and hip sushi restaurant as you can find here. Highly recommend this place!
