If it were easy to get a reservation I would be here more
If it were easy to get a reservation I would be here more often. The food was generally great, with some unusual dishes - their corn creations and their katsu. The rest of their dishes were fine. A little disappointed with Sabazushi. 1. Konbon Corn Ribs (Corn Cheese Powder, Shave Combo) $12 2. Menchi Katsu 2 pcs (minced pork katsu, tonkatsu sauce, pickled cabbage) $14 3. Tenderloin (fried pork tenderloin, tonkatsu sauce, wasabi, truffle salt) $14 4. Sabazushi (mackerel sushi) (ground ginger, shiso, sushi rice) $18 5. Karaj (lightly battered fried chicken, chili mayo) $13 6. Shishito Pepper (Ami Powder) $10 7. Bronzino with Mushrooms (Metke, Brown Shimji, Maple Soy Sauce) $24 8. Muzmin (Spicy Pork Maze Sauce, Homemade Almond Butter) $16 9. Konban Corn Ice Cream (oven roasted corn, white chocolate) $12
So glad I was able to snatch a reservation when my friends
So glad I was able to snatch a reservation when my friends are visiting from out of town. We came here for lunch on a Friday and it was busy but not overly crowded. The restaurant was bright, clean and comfortable. Tables were separated enough where we were able to have a comfortable conversation without overhearing the other tables around us. We almost ordered everything on the menu because they all sounded so good. The highlight was the corn ribs, scallop carpaccio, bronzino with mushroom and katsu. The corn ribs were so flavorful with the umami taste from the shio kombu which was well balanced with the creaminess from the cheese powder. This dish was voted as our favorite and would come back just for it. The scallop carpaccio was crisp and refreshing. I especially liked the added texture from the cucumber, radish and grape. The yuzu dressing was so good I almost wanted to ask for a spoon so I can finish every last drop. The bronzino with mushroom was also one of our favorite and we decided it's always a must order dish. The fish was cooked to perfection and the skin was crispy. The mushrooms were so good as it had soaked up all the soy maple broth. We actually ordered all 4 of the available katsus and the tenderloin and the pork loin both stood out. The meat were very tender and moist and the batter were light and flaky without being too oily. I didn't see a drop of oil on the white paper. Some of the dishes unfortunately were a let down. The butter scallop, although the scallops were very fresh, the dish was extremely salty. It felt like they had forgot it's seasoned and did it over and over again. Although that eggplant with the pork ragu sauce was good, it felt a little out of place because I felt like I was eating an Italian dish at a Japanese restaurant. Another disappointment was the Konban corn ice cream which was the main reason why I wanted to come here. I think it's made just for instagram because it looked good but fell flat on the taste. First, it was extremely hard to cut into because it was almost frozen inside. The ice cream was not creamy enough so it felt like I was eating shaved ice (you can even see the frozen parts exactly like when you have a freezer burn). The outer chocolate layer was overly sweet and when combined together with the ice cream, I couldn't taste anything except for the sweet chocolate. I ended up omitting the outer layer but still couldn't taste any corn. Overall, I think Konban has many solid dishes that I would definitely want to return for. The price is reasonable with surprisingly generous portions. If it's not so hard to get a reservation, I would want to go back more often!
The place has great ambience.
Staff and service was greats. Small menu but cohesive overall. Had Niku udon, corn ribs, corn ice cream, Toro bowl plus the the two different katsu! the katsu pieces were very lightly seasoned so that was different for me and not as juicy but they seem to use leaner cuts of meat. Enjoyed corner ribs and toro bowl and corn ice cream. Would pass on udon nothing that wow me. They also have a zen garden outside. Overall good ambience, food was okay

My friends managed to get a resy for weekend dinner! Loved
My friends managed to get a resy for weekend dinner! Loved the intimate vibes and interior decor. Service was fast & friendly, and I appreciated the complimentary cherry tomato appetizer. We ordered: Mackarel sushi: my favorite! Tenderloin: juicy and crisp Corn rib: it's corn! flavorful and unique Eggplant agebitashi: reminds me of Italian eggplant parmesan Karaage: least favorite, a little dry but had a good black pepper sauce Mazemen: almond butter was a nice touch The corn ice cream (white chocolate flavor) was a fun way to end the meal, though it is super frozen. Our waiter saw us struggling to cut through, attempted to help, and also struggled. We wondered why it wasn't thawed before serving, but perhaps that compromises the shape of the ice cream. Entertaining, but underwhelming in taste. Overall, a great place to dine. The portions are more girl-dinner sized, but I guess that just means you have to try more on the menu!
My girl friend has been dying to go here for the longest
My girl friend has been dying to go here for the longest time. She finally was able to make a reservation and we went. To be fair, the place was fine. I see how ppl like this place, but for me, I personally thought it was just okay. We got the following: - cucumber salad with bonito flakes: the bonito flakes made this dish. I feel like I've made something similar at home without the bonito flakes. Will need to try it out with the flakes and see if it tastes the same - shisito peppers: grilled shisitos with anchovies on top. The anchovies is a classic Korean side dish and at times they do put shisito in the dish. This was a different interpretation of it. Also something else I feel like can be easily replicated at home. - scallops: well, scallops are just delicious in general. I liked this dish and it had grapes, which was an interesting take. Good, but nothing I'd write home about. - fried rice with uni: this is a bit hands on where you wrap the rice and uni in seaweed. The uni was divine, but everything else, was just okay. - bass with mushrooms: wow the mushrooms were delicious! The fish was as well. One of my favorite dish of the night - karage: this was what my friend came for and it was dry for me. She loved it - corn ribs: okay, this was killer. The Doritos sprinkled on top was just ridiculous! This may have me coming back! My girl friend ate majority of the food bc I was full and wasn't all that into the food. Nothing wrong, it was just okay for me. However, I ate most of the corn ribs and the mushrooms and fish. The service is great and they give you a little tomato kimchi and glass of sake when you sit down. Cost of getting res and benefit of it all is not worth it to me personally. Good food, good service, but not worth going crazy to get a reservation.
Came here for dinner on a weekday and had an amazing time!
Came here for dinner on a weekday and had an amazing time! We made a reservation for 5:30pm and the restaurant was pretty full. Many groups of friends and some couples on dates. The staff were super friendly and seated us right away. Loved the interior vibes of the restaurant! The food was amazing too. I love corn and had pretty high expectations for the corn ribs, and wasn't disappointed at all. The udon was delicious and perfect paired with the fried katsu and karaage. The cocktail was also very good - slightly sweet but can kind of taste the alcohol. Definitely worth a try and would come back again!
Pretty good spot for casual eating with a friend.
They start you off with complimentary small bites which was really yummy and a shot of the yuzu-ade which we ended up ordering a full glass of. The fish in the sushi set were good, not bad for the price. The corn ribs we asked for no cheese which was great for us, just tasted like how grilled corn should taste. The karaage was so good and juicy, my favorite with the sauce. The porkloin was another favorite but I wish it was bigger. The service is great, the food comes out fast and we were able to get a lot of recommendations from our server. The interior is so cute it reminded me so much of Japan.
Made a reservation prior to coming here two weeks out.
I heard it was a new Katsu place so I decided to check it out. There is still a hype due to it being a new restaurant and being packed on a Thursday evening. The restaurant was packed full of people. The inside is dimly lit and has a candle on each table. There is an aesthetic vibe with a zen-like feel with a stone garden visible through the window in the seating area. The service was overall very good. The food however was mediocre at best. There was an appetizer of yogurt, cherry tomato and a yuzu sparkling soda. It was a refreshing start to the meal. I ordered the Tenderloin Katsu, but it was not tender at all. It was a pretty hard to chew piece of meat. The coating was crispy and light. I don't think the wasabi and salt really paired well with the Katsu. Also got the corn ribs which were probably the best thing on the menu that I tried. The Udon had a garlicy flavor with a light taste. I think the flavors were mostly from the oil they used. Finally, the corn ice cream. The outside of the ice cream is white chocolate. It is pretty solid as it is frozen. It was a bit hard to eat at first due to the hardness of it. The chocolate was overly sweet and the ice cream did not have much creaminess to it. There were ice crystals in it which got rid of any creamy texture to it. I had high expectations prior to coming, but after dining here, I would probably not go a second time.
Somewhat hidden from the street and when you enter it feels
Somewhat hidden from the street and when you enter it feels like a Japanese garden oasis! Enjoyed the corn ribs, pork loin katsu and the mazemen noodles (these have some heat!). Didn't love the karaage (you can find better so many other places) or the pork tenderloin katsu (had a weird fat layer). Service was a bit slow but they allowed my friend and me to occupy a table for 2.5 hours on a Friday night.
Wow! Excellent Katsu Specialty Restaurant
Hidden gem, down the stairs in an alley. Ordered pork loin katsu - so juicy and lightly breaded. Sushi was excellent. Mazemen noodles. Dessert was not be missed. Moderate to small portions. Very good service.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!

Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here

perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
