Spent a week in Florence and found this place on day 1 from a suggestion by our Airbnb host, what a great find it is! The staff are amazing, very attentive and super friendly. The food, wow, the food is AMAZING. Try the boar steaks...fantastic. Pasta with truffles... delicious! We have gone back several times for dinner and have always been happy with everything. If you see the owner working, and he does work tables like his staff, say hello. Great person with tons of knowledge about the area.
Be the first to ReplyCinghiale Bianco is our favorite restaurant in Florence.
The atmosphere and service are second to none. Every dish is perfectly prepared in traditional Italian fashion. The owners are always there to greet every guest. Making a reservation is suggested because seating is limited, especially on special occasions. You'll never find a better Italian restaurant experience anywhere.

It took two hours to receive our meal. There may have been a mistake or forgetfulness in relaying the order to the kitchen, but nonetheless it was frustrating. The food however was better than I expected. I ordered the gnocchi alla pesto and I enjoyed it. The gnocchi is small so it seems plenty. If you choose to go I recommend going on the earlier side and ordering quickly. Also make sure you do not have any later plans in the evening, just in case.
Be the first to ReplyWe have been eating here for years.
We never miss a meal here when traveling to Florence. This past visit we brought home some jars of the cinghiale sauce that they have started making for sale. It did not disappoint and it was worth checking my luggage! We made some pappardelle and it was fantastic. Next trip I will be bringing home some more, such a wonderful treat. Thank you! Everything about this restaurant is A+

I'm back in the states now and seriously craving the food here. Don't worry a bit counting carbs shmarbs, you should have left all that back home anyway:) Wverytgung we ordered was perfectly prepared and plated beautifully. We were a group of six so we ordered a variety and shared it all family style. Highly recommend that and of course every meal needs wine:)

What can I say other than it really doesn't get better than this. I've been coming here for over ten years now. I was so very happy to get a reservation and on arrival was greeted with a warm welcome. Marco and his staff truly embody what it is to love your craft. They made me feel (and always have) like I'm family. Their food is nothing but exquisite. Savor every bite. These people and this food is really something special.

They were lined up early at the popular Cinghiale Bianca but with our reservation we were greeted and seated promptly, the experienced servers were right on top of things and the food arrived quite quickly an anchovy pesto appetizer was excellent and the tagliatelle with wild bore Ragu was a true winner but my partners baby pork dish seemed a bit fatty and just lacked the flavor we expected the sides of roasted potatoes and sautéed greens were very good. Would I go back probably but there are many other choices in Florence to try.
Be the first to ReplyA lively and welcoming spot to enjoy classic Tuscan dining.
Everything we ordered was made with exceedingly fresh ingredients (tomato, pesto, eggplant, etc) and prepared wonderfully to accompany the wild boar and other featured cuts. But, especially outstanding, is the service, from the eager-to-chat owners right down to the busboys. This place should not be missed.

Be the first to ReplyWhat an amazing find in Florence.
The stew warmed my heart and tastebuds. It was full of flavor and balanced well with the polenta!!! Happiness in every bite.

Reservation secured day before-- just like many other Florentine restaurants-- tiny inside, making maximum use of all space- Pappa al Pomodoro, might be the best in Florence-- Raviolis were awesome! Sliced Sirloin steak is a must.

Everything was delicious! Especially the truffle pasta, but everything was great. House wine was delicious. And waiter was so kind to my daughter who was crying into her spaghetti as we got a call from home during the dinner that our beloved pet was going to have to be put down. Their joviality was not dimmed and they brought an extra dessert to cheer her up. We came back later that week to eat again in a better mood. If ever lucky enough to be in Florence again we will definitely come back to the white boar
Be the first to ReplyWhat a lunch! Came right at opening to secure a table.
Had heard great things and it lived up to expectations. Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco is a quaint Osteria off the beaten path as its across the river from the main attractions of Firenze. Still it was worth the walk and wait! Great ambiance and friendly service. For food we got the spaghetti and boar papperadelle. So good! Deliciously meaty and probably the best meat sauces I had in Italy. For dessert I had a lemon sorbet to top everything off. Definitely try this spot!
Be the first to ReplyWe had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant.
It is a very popular place, so reservations are a must. The staff was so welcoming and efficient, but more importantly, the food was delicious. They had a nice selection on the menu. We started out with the assorted crostini. One of our party had the roast pork, which was probably one of the better dishes that I have tasted. I had the truffle pasta, and another of us had the chicken with truffles and pecorino cheese. They were both wonderful. For dessert, we had the traditional Cantuccini with Vin Santo, Panna Cotta, and a Torta Della Nonna. Everything was great. The ambiance is of a traditional osteria, so the tables are close together, but the space is very cool, and you don't feel as if you are too crowded. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

Came here per the recommendation of friends who know the area well, and they suggested the ragu and steak as a must-try. I was told you would need a reservation, and we had no issues making one by calling right before noon the day-of. By the time dinnertime rolled around (~6:30pm on a Sunday), it looked like they still had space for walk-ins.I guess it really depends on whether you're visiting on/off season and which day of the week it is! The interiors give off a very true Tuscan vibe, and we were lucky to be seated in an alcove as a party of 2. Food did not disappoint, and we loved every bite! I just thought it was funny that the waiter asked how we liked our steak done (requested medium), and received a cut that was similarly as bloody as the orders around us.Steak was definitely on the rare side (which I understood is how it's always cooked, so was thrown off by the question). Overall, I'd recommend this spot for a classic and authentic experience in Florence!

We showed up around 9:30 and got lucky a party failed to show up. Wow, what a great place. Everything we had was amazing and the owners were very attentive. We wanted something more traditional for our kids and every plate delivered. Very reasonably priced. If possible make a reservation as it does fill up fast.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing papardelle as well as their braised beef stew.
Service was lovely and hospitable, highly recommend if you're in Florence.

Really excellent, and a strong revisit contender on all of our future trips. This time around, we went with a group of four (plus two little kids) and got the mixed pecorino, burrata with truffles, antipasto di cinghiale, strozzapreti, taglierini with mushrooms, pappa pomodoro, several orders of the pappardelle, meatballs, maialino, beans, spinach, and penne pomodoro for my three year old. The pappardelle is still our reigning champ here, but the strozzapreti was also a surprise contender. We also loved the pecorino, the antipasto, the burrata, and the pappa pomodoro. We'd probably sub out both mains next time, and maybe try the steak.

This was by far the best meal we had during our visit to Italy. Do yourself a favor and make reservations for this charming little bistro in Florence, because you will not be disappointed! We were lucky to call a few hours before they opened and snag a reservation ... but bare in mind that we only needed a table for two, on a weeknight during tourist off-season. We walked over from our hotel across the river ... and arrived a few minutes before 6:30 p.m. to find a line out the door. This made us even more excited ... I've never heard of anyone waiting in line for subpar food. After they officially opened, we were seated right away - and overwhelmed by the rustic charm of the interior. Wooden staircases and exposed bricks set the scene for a Tuscan dining experience unlike any we'd ever had before. Our service was great - all of the waitstaff spoke English, and smiled genuinely when we attempted to order our meal in simple Italian phrases. We kicked things off with a bottle of Chianti, which for only 20 Euros, was far better than any wine you'll ever have stateside. For an appetizer, we went with their classic Tomato Bruschetta, which was bright and fresh, and balanced well with the charred bread it was served on.Our favorite bite of the night was by far the Wild Boar Ragu. Long, thin ribbons of freshly made pasta were topped with the most flavorful meat sauce. This pasta made us emotional ... it was THAT good.Embracing the traditional Italian dinner courses, we moved on to their classically prepared Florentine T-Bone steak. This region is known for its beef, and served rare to reflect those flavors, with just a hard sear and some flaky salt and pepper. Even if you're not a fan of rare steak, this is a must-order, because it's easily the finest cut of beef we've ever tried. We ended our dining adventure with two desserts ... because we had to try as much as we could! The tiramisu was absolutely perfect - more whipped cream than lady finger, with a lightness to it that many restaurants cannot master. We also tried the Panna Cotta with berries - which was elegant and rich. Don't miss out on this delicious restaurant the next time you're in Florence - it's well worth a stop, and we'll certainly return the next time we're in town.
