Amazing seafood with a breath taking view.

5/5 by 👻 @Janet D. on 04/05/2025

They had different speciality crabs you can pick from sold by the pound and made any way you like. We had the Sri Lankan (standard ceab) on 4/3 at m $84 per kg. The sauce was delish very sweet and savory with mantou fried buns for dipping. The baby squids were yummy and crunchy and went delightfully well with beer. We also had the sautéed morning glory in a spicy sambal (not spicy) and a fresh water prawn hot fun. The wok hey was phenomenal and it was an impressive meal to end my trip in Singapore. I would highly recommend this spot for the view, the service, and the food. There was nothing a miss during our event! 5 stars!

TOURIST BEWARE!!!! Predatory pricing

2/5 by 👻 @btsunami on 04/02/2025

We recently dined at Palm Beach Seafood in Singapore with friends who had lived there for 20 years—making it a special reunion after not seeing them in years. Given their local experience, we expected a great seafood meal, but while the food was enjoyable, it ultimately left us feeling underwhelmed and, frankly, overcharged. The Food & Experience • We ordered a 4lb chili crab, along with two steamed and chili fish dishes, fried almond prawns, and pork belly bao with NO alcohol. The flavors were decent, but nothing stood out as truly amazing or memorable—it was middle of the road at best. • The ambiance was clean and comfortable, though nothing particularly special. • One big issue: eating a saucy chili crab is a messy experience, and they charged nearly $1 per napkin. While we understand that in Singapore, it’s common to pay for napkins, you need at least 4-5 napkins per person to get through a chili crab meal. Charging extra for something that is absolutely necessary for the dining experience felt like a money grab. The Shocking Bill When the bill arrived, we were stunned—$734 sgd / $545 usd for dinner of 4ppl. Since we don’t often dine out in Singapore, we asked around afterward—speaking to a taxi driver, hotel concierge, and even some locals—and the response was consistent: we had been taken advantage of. Several people mentioned that Palm Beach Seafood has a reputation for inflating prices for tourists, which is appalling. Singapore is home to some world-class seafood spots, and if we were going to pay premium prices, we should have just gone to Jumbo Seafood, a well-known favorite among both locals and tourists, where the quality and experience match the cost. Instead, we were left feeling ripped off and disappointed. While the food was decent and the setting was fine, the pricing at Palm Beach Seafood was outrageous and predatory toward tourists. Charging excessively for what should be a standard Singaporean seafood meal is shameful. If you’re visiting Singapore, there are far better seafood options that won’t leave you feeling like you just got scammed.

4/5 by 👻 @Sarah C. on 02/15/2025

love this location because of the views by the water and the proximity to merlion park. they only give a 2 hour limit, and you can sit outside or inside. service is fast and always attentive, filling up your teas frequently. seafood is definitely very fresh, and you can see all the sea creatures in tanks. chilli crab wasn't as spicy as other ones I've had but black pepper was pretty good.

Local seafood with marina bay view

4/5 by 👻 @Abby on 02/07/2025

Chose the restaurant for its spectacular view but it was raining so we asked to dine in instead. We arrived for early dinner, there weren't many customers but they were slow in getting us menu (asked twice), setting up the table and ordering drinks. Food was served quite quickly after the order was made. Each dish is well presented. The portion size was smaller than expected. Every dish was delicious, but not special. Kangkong wasn't spicy. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor dining area, with comfortable seating.

Don’t be fooled by a name!

4/5 by 👻 @Christopher L on 01/25/2025

I’ve got to look into the history of the name of this restaurant - “Palm Beach” to an American screams Florida or Southern California. This is a Chinese seafood restaurant on the harbor across from both Fullerton hotels. The greeter hostess made us look at the menu closely before seating us - lots of crab and lobster options, all shown as Market Priced, might scare away someone on a tight budget. We took our chances at were seated inside about 6PM in a relatively empty restaurant. It took awhile to get the attention of a server in spite of how quiet it was. The young man was very friendly and helpful. Market Prices were reasonable and what I expected. Portions come with size options - medium size is a good portion for 2-3 people. We shared prawn soup, longevity noodles, asparagus with mushrooms, and beef skewers. We did not want to tackle a chili crab - too much work for too little meat. The noodle dish had prawns, fish, and squid with vegetables. Everything was delicious, servers had to be flagged down for any sort of attention, but friendly. By 7PM the place was packed. I was still the only non-Asian there. We took the extra food back to our hotel. It was a fun experience - service could improve.

YYMMY YUMMY

4/5 by 👻 @angela r on 01/23/2025

We had a lovely meal here, food was delicious. For starters we had the baby fried squid , very yummy and crispy and Otah Otah , again very yummy . For mains we had chilli crab and black pepper crab. If you’re looking for spicy, definitely the black pepper crab as the chilli one is not spicy it’s more tomatoey and creamy , but still good . We had a side of noodles and some buns ( recommend by May our server/waitress, who was excellent) . We’ve been away for weeks in Australia and Singapore and this meal makes it to our top 3 . It didn’t quite make 5 stars as you have to pay for extra hand wipes !

Eating chilli mud crab at PBS with a severe peanut allergy

5/5 by 👻 @Curiosity466122 on 12/15/2024

Our teenage daughter has a severe peanut allergy and is allergic to most other nuts. We wanted to try chilli mud crab while on a family holiday and contacted several restaurants to see if their kitchen could accommodate us. All others said no or simply did not reply. Palm Beach Restaurant (I think Vivienne) replied straight away and yes, their kitchen could deal with these allergies, including cross-contamination. We had an amazing meal (including the chilli mud crab) and my daughter felt safe eating. Thank you so much to PBS!

Excellent crab

5/5 by 👻 @gerbilsontour on 12/03/2024

We felt we couldn't leave Singapore without having a crab. We chose this restaurant because due to close location to our hotel and past reviews and were not disappointed. We went for the pepper crab as we had found chilli crab to be a bit too tomato/sweet - we are glad we did - it was possibly the best crab we had ever had! 800g between 2 was the perfect size. They provide gloves, bibs and wipes which meant no mess on our hands and clothes. We have the broccoli/carrot/scallop/ginger stir fry to go with the carb which we found an excellent balance. Not cheap but highly enjoyable.

The seafood were fresh, delicious and authentically

5/5 by 👻 @Rick S. on 11/27/2024

The seafood were fresh, delicious and authentically Singaporean. They do have outside table with a view of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel if you don't mind the humidity/rain. Our server, Veronica, was attentive and flexible to our requests. Ambiance is formal, clean and high-end seafood restaurant with several fish tanks. Highly recommended!

Just order seafood and avoid non seafood. Nice service but not worth the price tag.

3/5 by 👻 @Brigette on 10/13/2024

This is a nice place if you eat Chinese food occasionally and are first time visitors to SG. The service is nice and if lucky you get a table outdoor with a view of the Merlion and Bay. We went back after a five year (Covid) break. We ordered chilli crab, satay, steamed prawns and seafood friend rice, two small beers and a bottle of mineral water. The crab (1.3kg) alone costs nearly 200$SGD, it was fine and kept their standards over the years. The others were disappointing, for instance the prawns were over cooked and drowned in garlic, there were very little seafood or egg in the fried rice (looks plain), the satay was dry. I am quite sensitive to flavor enhancers and could not sleep due to dry mouth/ thirst. There are better choices elsewhere if you are after food more than the location.

The service is absolutely awful.

1/5 by 👻 @Will E. on 06/12/2024

The food was fine if not slightly above average. However it's a tourist trap type vibe. There are much better places to get mud crabs. We called and asked if they could do gluten free for a celiac (would have been fine if they said no, it's hard with Asian food) and that assured us they could. But none of the waitstaff could tell us what was gluten free or not. I wouldn't have complained if they said we can't do it ?

Chiili Crab in Singapore

4/5 by 👻 @Trevor D on 06/05/2024

In Singapore without a bit of Singapore Chilli Crab is just silly, so we sought out something local to walk to from our hotel to get a crab. The "Palm Beach" was one we found. It's in the Fullerton Road Tourist Strip, so that has its drawbacks, but the Crab was terrific. The place was absolutely crowded, but like all good establishments, they fitted us in. You do need to "bring your wallet", however. It's not cheap. Beware of things noted as "market price", but what the heck - it was worth it in the end. You could probably find cheaper crab around, but it was still all an enjoyable experience.

Very popular with those who relish their seafood cooked when still alive We don't, but we're still more than happy with our seafood fried rice, a few king prawns, and a seafood spaghettini dish. Was more than enough for the two of us, and good value for money.

Not good value but good place to entertain first-time visitors to Singapore

4/5 by 👻 @conscienciouseater on 02/07/2024

The view is fantastic, the food is good, service is forgetful and not not proactive. It’s expensive, as obviously you pay for the OneFullerton location. It’s not good value, but yes we would come back with out-of-town guests on a short visit to Singapore because of the overall experience (view, crab, location).

We came here as a recommendation at JW Marriott South Beach.

4/5 by 👻 @Luzcel T. on 12/11/2023

We were looking for seafood with a fine dining feel. We have a 6-month old granddaughter with us so that kind of limited our options. Situated at One Fullerton, perfect spot for dinner with a good view of Marina Sands Bay hotel and just next to the Merlion. The restaurant was packed and couldn't get a reservation until 8 PM. But it was worth the wait. We tried every dish in our list of recommendations and more. Each and every dish was delectable. We especially loved the honey tangy fish, Spain black pork loin, and of course, the crabs! The service was excellent. It was on the pricey side but well worth it!

Waitress asked if it was our first time.

1/5 by 👻 @T L. on 10/27/2023

It was. Spoke Mandarin to seemingly pigeonhole us as tourists. We asked about chili crab market pricing for 2 people (one person in our party did not eat crab). We were told it was SG$440 per kilo. Or SG$880 for 2 kilos (US$643), their smallest crab. We were incredulous. We asked 3 times the price as confirmation, and she said it's expensive. We did not order. We have since asked everyone locally and was told the pricing was ridiculous and we should file a complaint with the tourist board.

Good food doesn’t excuse the poor service. Used to be a favourite now a real let down

1/5 by 👻 @DSBerkshire on 08/26/2023

“I’m usually a fan, you’re paying a premium which is usually worth it, but last night was a let down. We had a table booked for 8pm, got there 7.45 and had to wait 20 minutes, I can cope with that. The problem started when we had no service for the next 40 minutes and we had to flag down someone to take our order. The First Lady didn’t understand English, I have no issue there, but it then took another 10 minutes for someone else to turn up. We finally got our first drink after an hour, food 20 mins later. Not enough utensils for the table, we had to ask for napkins only to be supplied with bibs, which then appear on your bill. Never got asked for a second drink or deserts so we didn’t bother. We asked if this was a special occasion on booking, it was but never mentioned. I’ve eaten here every time I visit Singapore, sadly I’ll be finding a new venue as my last night treat. “

Disappointing Palm Beach

1/5 by 👻 @AndeleyMudgee on 05/26/2023

So disappointed. It was a lovely ambience but the worst meal so far. We chose a share platter and we discussed this with our waitress. When the platter arrived it was nothing like described in the menu. When we queried it we were told that they don’t do crab cakes anymore even though that was part of our discussion! Very expensive for a very poor meal!

Each posting on AppointmentTrader shows you which user submitted it and along with that provides a trackrecord of that user which indicates how much experience the user has and how many percent of their transactions resulted in them issuing a refund.

If there is no user posting that fits your schedule, you can bid on your preferred time.

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Palm Beach Seafood Singapore at 6 PM the same day.

He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Palm Beach Seafood Singapore page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.

That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.

Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.

Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.

* FluffyStar64, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* FluffyStar64 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FluffyStar64 for any questions Peter may have as FluffyStar64 user fills the bid.

3.) Finding the Reservation
* FluffyStar64 now uses their connections at Palm Beach Seafood Singapore to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FluffyStar64 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.

4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FluffyStar64 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FluffyStar64's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Palm Beach Seafood Singapore!
