Terrible service for the price and atmosphere they attempt to pull off.
Our server ignored us while he bragged to the table next to us about his ‘investments’ and being the owners son. Finally, the busser brought our bill and cashed us out. It was bad service and very unprofessional, epically for a place charging CA$200 for market price crab legs.

Definitely one of my go to places. Love the food, the service, the ambiance. Never disappoints. First experienced their food at old location (Weston/Hwy 7) and continue to dine at their new location (Weston & Major MacKenzie). Always a wonderful family experience.
Expected better service.
Heard really good things about this restaurant so decided to try it out, I couldn’t find an actual menu on line as I like to see the menus of restaurants I go to before we actually go. So here’s my honest review. Called, left a message to make reservations. Got a call back within the hour. Person was really nice on the phone. Got a table for 4 in their “solarium” part of the restaurant. Was pleasantly surprised with the interior and decor of the restaurant. Gorgeous interior! Lots of tables, comfortable chairs, a real nice dining experience vibe. But then…. It was loud. Really loud. If you go with the intention of having dinner conversion, forget it. You are talking over the oriole sitting next to you. We got seated in the solarium. It was much quieter, albeit for about 1/2 hour. Then it too filled up and got really noisy. Couldn’t hear anyone sitting across the table. Took a long time for our waiter to take our order. But he did, finally. He seemed quite distracted too. We had to ask to order our wine. We ordered some apps for the table. But they brought everything at the same time or within minutes of the other dishes. I was kinda taken back about that. We were having our shareables and our individual appetizers came. Even before I was able to finish my Caesar salad, my mushroom risotto came. It had to sit there while I finished my salad. Not cool! Considering this restaurant is located in Woodbridge, in a smart center plaza, where Walmart is located, I would have thought their price point would have been reasonable. It wasn’t. We paid downtown prices. Not worth it. Food was tasty, but not for the prices. Really young crowd and felt like a “look at me” place. Sorry, won’t be going back any time soon.

PERLA PERFECTION
I took my son for his 28th birthday to Perla on a Friday night and we were blown away. The marks of an excellent restaurant are great Service…great Food…great Atmosphere and how do they handle the situation when glitches happen. Perla gets 5 Stars in all categories. Let’s start with the glitch because that’s the way the evening started. I ordered a Manhattan on the rocks and as we sat directly across from the bar, I could see my drink being made…incorrectly. He made it neat…no ice…and put it in a cordial glass. When our lovely waitress, Jacqueline, came to take our oyster order I pointed out the Manhattan on the bar was supposed to be on the rocks…with ice. She apologized and told the bartender. Instead of remaking the drink as he should have…he delicately slipped a couple small ice cubes into the glass. Jacqueline brought it over and I politely told her it should have been remade properly in the proper glass not just slipping some ice cubes in. She apologized and said she’ll get it remade but I said it was fine…don't bother...I just brought it up because the next one I order I’d like it done properly. I have no idea why the bartender did that because all the drinks he made us tasted great so he obviously knows his stuff, but Jacqueline came back with a proper Manhattan on the house which was a nice gesture to fix the glitch. Jacqueline was an amazing server…always smiling…knowledgeable about the food items...and despite a packed house was always attentive without hovering over us. One of the best waitresses ever…thank you Jacqueline! We ordered 2 of each type of oyster…Oysters Rockefeller…octopus…escargot…Charcuterie board and the fettucine. All were excellent so before leaving I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass…onion soup…and charcoal spaghetti to take home. It’s very rare where EVERYTHING on the menu is something you want to try but that’s how we found Perla…every dish begs you to order it. And the portions are very generous…I’ve paid double at other places for half the seafood that came with my son’s pasta at Perla. The owner stopped by our table to see how things were going…a very nice touch. Jacqueline took my son’s dessert order…he was torn between the Pistachio cake and the special banana treat…but decided on the cake. Jacqueline arrived with a platter saying “Happy Birthday” and BOTH deserts…one on the house. The sax player…who played music during dinner and was excellent…played “Happy Birthday” and the owner gave my son a bottle of his homemade Vodka…a perfect end to a wonderful night. One other very sweet thing Jacqueline did…as I paid the bill I included a very substantial tip and most servers would just take it and run but Jacqueline was kind enough to ask me if I was sure about the amount…did I maybe press a wrong number or two? I assured her the tip was correct because her service was great…the food was amazing…and the atmosphere with the live music was perfect. We will be back to Perla…again…and again…and again.
good but loud
The first impression is that this place has no atmosphere. The noise is so loud and added to that is the live music that just causes everyone to talk louder. The wine list was good and the oysters were very tasty. the zuppa di pesce was very good and well stocked with a variety of seafood. The Ahi tuna was good but cut too thick. The wasabi provided was very skimpy. The tiramisu was good

Me and three others came here for a birthday celebration on Dec 1 and what a joy it was! It was our first time there and our server, William was phenomenal. He not only gave us his recommendations for the four of us with varying tastes, but he was entertaining and genuinely engaged in our conversations. Cassandra and Jackie were stellar as well, sealing the deal by chatting with us after our dinner. We sat downstairs where the interior transported me back to Italy. They did a tremendous job making you feel at home and having it feel so intimate! This was my first time there, but I guarantee it will not be the last! Stellar staff! - Jay

One of the rare venues where quality and quantity meld seamlessly..the juiciest tomahawk, the freshest oysters, the finest octopus, the most succulent lobster..every dish knocks it out of the park..the best of the best and in portions that easily satisfy the culinarily insatiable..this is heaven for anyone who loves food

* Peter can now talk to FulfilledThread16 for any questions Peter may have as FulfilledThread16 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FulfilledThread16 now uses their connections at Perla Oyster Bar & Grill Vaughan to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FulfilledThread16 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
