The Library Restaurant Madrid Reviews
Very disappointing restaurant
This will be the third time I write the same review about the Sanyo Mauro Hotel. The two previous one were deleted with the preposterous excuse of being AI generated. My name is Gustavo de Arístegui. I do not hide behind anonymity and I most certainly do not write reviews with AI. It is completely unacceptable that my two previous reviews were suppressed by your site. My comments were harsh but fair, and above all try, verifiable and I would gladly tell the GM about the serious flaws of his madly expensive and mediocre restaurant if I am given the chance. I will screen shot this comment written now in English (not translated by AI but written entirely by me) to see if Trip Advisor or the huge power of the Marriott group manage to suppress my comments yet once more. I am not a troll or a cyber hooligan, I am an extremely well seasoned travelled and intend to guide other travelers especially in my country Spain and my city Madrid that I know very very well. The restaurant of the Santo Mauro is miles behind the beauty and elegance of the hotel and its staff. At least the majority of its staff. My wife and I go frequently to the Santo Mauro normally for a drink, tea, coffee or light snacks. We hadn’t been there for dinner in a long time and it was seriously disappointing. The bread came 20 mins before the bitter and the olive oil. Bravo The fresh oysters were beyond warm they were almost hot in the torrid Madrid summer nights. And served on … salt!!!! Not ice!!!! Wow… bravo The grilled oysters were cold, almost impossible in a 35 degree Celsius night… well they managed that too. Bravo. The marvelous white wine was warm almost hot, it took forever for it to get chilled. Don’t they have a wine cellar or wine fridges ????? They could at the prices the charge. This is again unbelievable in a hotel of this category and reputation. The recommended me the the CABRACHO (scorpionfish) that is very popular in the Basque Country where I come from. I said to the Maitre d’hotel and the server who recommended it that it should be seriously deboned as it is full of bones. The fish came and it was impossible to eat. By the way my wife’s main course was never served. My overall grade is a C minus and only because the hotel is one of the most beautiful in Madrid. But I strongly advise the guests to eat elsewhere.
Bravo Gio
What an amazing experience we have lived at the Santo Mauro. We were welcomed with a smile and warmth, at the bar Gio took care of us and prepared the most exquisite drinks just from asking what liquor and flavours we liked. There is nothing like this in Madrid and they should keep it up!

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to The Library Restaurant Madrid at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the The Library Restaurant Madrid page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* MaternalRecord73, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* MaternalRecord73 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to MaternalRecord73 for any questions Peter may have as MaternalRecord73 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* MaternalRecord73 now uses their connections at The Library Restaurant Madrid to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If MaternalRecord73 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, MaternalRecord73 receives the $200 reward which is credited to MaternalRecord73's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at The Library Restaurant Madrid!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
