Perfection !!
Everything about this gem of a restaurant is on point. Food is delicious, service is impeccable and the ambiance is bright and comfortable. The portions are perfect ! A must try for lunch or dinner.

This is a wonderful spot for dinner. It has a warm ambiance, excellent service and exceptional food. There were many interesting choices on the menu. The vegetarian in our party had one of the best meals she has had in a long time. The service was great…attentive but not intrusive. We would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great spot in the area.

What a wonderful experience. From the moment you walk in to the minute you leave, everything was perfect. Service was impeccable. Without being over whelming, all the staff kept an eye on you and you never had to ask or wait for anything. But, the main event was of course the food. We started off with the newly introduced scallop dish. Wow.. I would put it at the top of any I’ve ever had. Then we both had the Duck Confit. Again, fabulous is all I can say. A lovely desert and as a non drinker, they had some awesome mocktails too. We will be back for sure. We enjoyed every moment.

This is a small and very popular restaurant. It was crowded and noisy but the atmosphere had a real fun vibe. Despite the continual stream of customers, the service was excellent - attentive, friendly and efficient. We were pleased we had made a reservation for a Saturday night. There is a large parking lot across the street and the restaurant is located in a stately, old home. The menu offered a lot of choices and my wife, who is gluten-free and dairy-free, had no trouble ordering. We enjoyed our dinner very much and would recommend this restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyTrue fine dining service compliments the excellent food
The food was excellent - if you like mushrooms my friend said it was one of the best dishes she had ever eaten. Nice variety of food available - clearly noted dairy free, nut free, etc. The service was Fabulous. The female server on the evening of 31st August - sorry I didn't catch your name - knows about fine dining service. Amazing. Thank you so much
Be the first to ReplyThe Tremont is still the best.
I haven't reviewed the Tremont since 2016, but I've visited a few times since then, so an update! It's still my fav restaurant, and I believe the best in the area. The service and the food is sublime. If anything, since the Tremont changed location, it's improved. The style is more French than Italian in my mind, so if you're starving, this is not the place for you. If you love food, flavours, and like to feel great after a meal, this is your spot. The atmosphere is still warm, and I hope there still room left for walk-ins, but I always make a reservation because of the smaller size. They stay open a little later than some restaurants in Collingwood, thank goodness, because it can be a sleepy little town, when some adults like to stay out late for fun. The wine list is long and varied: the staff is knowledgable. I would love to see a few more wines available by the glass: it is a much better value to just order a bottle. Like many dining out experiences, the Tremont is a little pricey, so is not something I can enjoy too often. I appreciated the vegetarian choices. I was grateful to enjoy the Tremont for take out and inside dining during the covid-19 days, and want to thank the staff for making this effort. I was so grateful to have a dinner out again, especially of the calibre of your food.

Came here on a Friday night for a 7:30 dinner Cocktails were on point Service was great The attitude here is that they are happy you showed up We had the tuna appetizer The flavours were so good I then had the duck dish with beans Soooo good! Hubbie had the lobster shrimp dish which was also good The wine pairings which the server suggested were perfection
Be the first to ReplyTremont Café Showed Us Why It’s Ranked #1 In Collingwood
This restaurant scores highly on all the key touch points a place like this ought to: food, service, ambience, and wine list. Service here seems instinctually tailored to each table - in other words, the waitstaff knows exactly how chatty, helpful, and attentive (or otherwise) each party wants them to be throughout the meal. They are also as knowledgable about the menu selections as the chef & kitchen staff - a rather rare achievement these days. The menu itself was just right. Enough variety at its core, and a promised inventiveness with its listed ingredients. Our appetizers, and then our mains, were all superb. The limited dessert offerings sounded too good to ignore, and our choices finished off a fine meal. Tremont has an impressive wine cellar, and we were equally impressed by how well our selection had been cellared, and then served. The place was bright, white, and nicely buzzy. Folks all seemed to be glad they were there. We certainly were.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent All Round!
This was our first visit to Tremont and it will not be our last. So impressed with the service, food and atmosphere! It is hard to find restaurants anywhere that are so great on all three fronts. The food was amazing. Favourite dishes were the duck confit and beef tartare. Service, however, might have been the star of the show. Waitress was so friendly and really took care of my mother and I. We ordered one dessert to share, but she brought us two saying they were small so she wanted us to each have our own. Really nice touch! Drinks were excellent as well and it was fun to watch the bartender work amongst the colourful bottles behind him. This restaurant is located in an historic old house that has been beautifully restored. All round excellent evening!

I went with my mom and adult son. My son and I each had the tasting menu. My mom ordered from the regular menu. This was one of the 3 best meals I have ever had at a restaurant. The food was delicious, the presentation/plating beautiful and the service impeccable. Highly recommend.

My experience here is always phenomenal. I ordered the steak frites (rare), it was the best steak I’ve ever eaten. The flavours were amazing and the French fries w/ the sauce were delicious. The service was fantastic!! Would definitely recommend coming here. It is more on the pricey side but it is well worth it.

A place we will keep going back to. The owner is friendly and kind, the vibe is good. Beautiful interior. Spring 2022 we did an extensive course menu that was lovely. We have been many times over the years and some of our favourite dishes are the sweet potato gnocchi and streak frites. Excellent dining experience.

Great dinning experience. Sat at the bar for dinner. Fabulous service and great food. Had the octopus appetizer and the trout for dinner. Perfectly executed. Would order again and highly recommend Totally loved the environment. Chatted with the bartender, and met on of the owners, Billy. Great experience - not just the food (which always great), but the whole dinning environment. Looking forward to our next visit!

Didn't realize that it was only a fix priced menu. Overpriced but the food overall is good. Perhaps you could offer a slightly smaller menu???
Be the first to ReplyFine dining, lovely atmosphere.
A friend and I heard about The Tremont Cafe and wanted to try it. What a lovely place! Decor is bright and cozy with a beautiful patio outside. Atmosphere is casual elegance. Food was DELICIOUS! We had the peach caprese salad, the gnocchi dish and spaghetti carbonara....all delicious with a lovely presentation. Quite busy for a Sunday evening. Attentive, pleasant staff. Will definitely return!

Once again these guys are ahead of the curve. We had the privilege of eating the world’s best cut of beef courtesy of Mr. Ozaki. Absolutely incredible dinning experience, I can’t say enough about the staff and ownership of this establishment. World Class, keep up the good work Tremont Team.

We were in town for a tournament and it was also my spouses birthday. We decided on this place for dinner. From start to finish it was fantastic. Food was excellent, came out hot, dishes came out at a good pace, everything was cooked beautifully. The exceptional food was matched with exceptional service. Our server was a Kate McKinnon doppelgänger, management if you haven’t given this women a raise yet, then do it, she’s a keeper!! After our tasting menu concluded, we were able to repeat our favourite dish one more time, you guys are geniuses!!! Thank you for a great experience, we’ll be back!!

Amazing food and superb customer service. Was treated as though we were VIP. Took amazing care of our 1 year old son and considered him with every course bringing out options for him. The Owner served us himself and was extremely attentive and kind. Graciously made menu alterations due to preference. Went over and above in every area and made my husbands Father’s Day one to remember. We will absolutely be back and recommend this place to all our friends and family! We have been looking for a place like this since moving, can compete with high level dining in the city- this place won’t dissappoint!
Be the first to ReplyDid not disappoint
As an amateur home chef my husband surprised me with dinner for anniversary. We have dined the world in Michelin , swanky ship dining, catered farm dinners etc. This will go down as one of the best. The courses were art work, delicious and served with enthusiasm and accurate descriptions. The wine pairings were well received too. Our first ‘salad’ course was a tad on the sweet side for our taste but made up for it in flavour and ingredients. Expensive, a matter f comparisons. We have paid similar amounts for mediocrity in dining, over priced wines and lax service. I would rather dine here, less often as the menu changes and the ambiance is shabby chic. Not fine dining appointments, no table cloth or fresh flowers but cloth napkins and desert dinnerware. Chef is imaginative and with a slight of hand using middle eastern spices and flavours. Sweetbreads were on the menu and these were the best I have ever had. Tender, crispy, delicate and complimented By exotic presentation. We will be back!
Be the first to ReplyTaste Sensations at Tremont!
Each time I visit the Tremont I am so impressed with both the incredible food and the top notch service. My most recent experience was for a business event which went seamlessly. This is particularly notable given the pressures on the service industry with staffing shortages. Every meal has been exceptional.
Be the first to Reply8 Course Dining Experience
Came here for a semi private booking and an 8 course dinner. At first the booking was delayed and we had to wait about 30 mins before the previous group left which was bothersome. Beyond that, the service and food was excellent. The halibut was my favourite as I typically don’t love fish. at the end of the night we were struggling to get a taxi and the owner offered to drive us home. We ended up finding a taxi, but wonderful service to ensure we made it home safe.
