Came in for a deep tissue ended up getting hurt and lady didn't know how to give a deep tissue . Management asked how I liked my massage I told them and they said they would give me 20% off. I went to pay the guy was trying to charge me full price . Very disappointed in the service here .

For me the restaurants were the best part. Definitely try to go to Watr - absolutely incredible food (pictured) and views. You can see the sunset over the city and I recommend the grouper + lychee cocktail. I forget my server's first name but his last name was Flower and he had the best energy and made my experience so pleasant. I also loved the room, super peaceful and such a treat to stay in. I came for my birthday and they brought me a complimentary cake to my room the first day which I thought was special. Tala is also such a vibe. I loved all the dj's they had at the bars/pools, made me feel like I was on an island. I had such a relaxing time and would definitely come again. I would also recommend trying one of the workout classes - the two female instructors I got to take class from were great. The only thing was that my room was not ready for a few hours past when it should've and my check out time couldn't be delayed when my flight wasn't until later that night. Other than that, I'm super happy I was able to have this experience and would go back in the future.

This was a great stay I had for my birthday - the customer service is what really made me love this hotel even more. The staff was just great. The restaurants were also amazing. The cafe had the best smoothies (coffee was not really good) and quick bites. The rooms were spacious and comfortable - the ocean view balcony was so so pretty. Will be coming back - SOON!

4.5 stars Positive: - Beautiful sustainable hotel in South Beach. The design is modern & clean. - The staff is nice & professional and service is pretty good. - We got some food & fruits by the pool and at the beach, they were all decent. - We had a one bedroom suit, it was a beautiful modern room. - Access to 3 pools, private beach and also fun activities like ping pong table etc. Negative: - Staff did knock on the door right after we checked in to water plants. They should just water plants when the turn the room around not after new guests arrive. - While organized with too service it's a bit too controlled. We had 5 people trying to get beds by the pool. 3 of us arrived first as other 2 got stuck in the care line. The pool folks wouldn't give us 5 beds. They said all need to be present to hold beds. At the end we got lucky that our group arrived before other random folks show up. - Elevators: I like how it worked with optimizing people & elevators - too many people & 6 elevators. However there were times that they were 20+ people trying to get to same floor and it sent us all to same elevator. No way we could fit. So we had to wait for a group to get in & leave, re-scan our key and request a new elevator which meant longer waits than necessary. - We had early check in but they ended up giving our room pretty much at 4pm. I wish they had communicated that from the beginning so we don't waste our time waiting.
Be the first to ReplyWhether you consider the name uber pretentious or fun,
Whether you consider the name uber pretentious or fun, tongue-in-check (I'm still vacillating), one thing causing no debate was the excellent level of service afforded by the staff at the 1. I was apprehensive about check-in, as the lobby appeared mobbed. The check in staff were quick, efficient and far cheerier than many might be with such a busy desk. My room was prepared quickly, my luggage delivered before I arrived to the room, and I was allowed to check in early to an upgraded room with a stellar view of the beach. Further, they brought me a large water bowl and a fresh, plush bed for my pup to sleep on (mad points for being overwhelmingly dog friendly btw). I wish I could remember all of the people that I interacted with, so I could list them by name, but everyone was just kind and attentive, from the housekeeper taking care of my room to the gentleman in charge of controlling access to the rooftop pool. Shout out to Nikki at the upstairs bar for helping my buddy with his taxing drink request and for making excellent drinks all around, Raemu, the most friendly, vibrant, attentive and professional server I've met in a long time (WATR & pool area), Luis, for providing excellent cabana service with killer energy together with Raemu, and Maylin, who was so warm and engaging while quickly making the most perfectly fluffy and creamy omelet I've had in a long time. Also amazing (IMO) were the meals I had. I truly enjoyed the thought that went into the preparation of the breakfast buffet at Habitat, and everything looked and tasted fresh and delicious. The selections at WATR were all good, and I highly, highly recommend both the spicy crunchy tuna roll and the halibut. Ordered them multiple times throughout my stay. Just yum. Burger and fries were solid at Tala. Great, friendly and efficient service everywhere. Where the 1 loses points is the elevator system. Simply inefficient and slow for a hotel this size. There was not one day that I did not see, on multiple occasions, guests struggling with it. Additionally, I was bummed about the lack of a speaker in the room and didn't understand why my shower stall was so massive, but only had access to water on one end, far, far away from the cool bench I imagine was designed for people to sit on. Also, I get the whole eco friendly vibe of the hotel, but those indoor/outdoor carpets are uncomfortable to walk on barefoot. What I feel is the biggest sin, however, is the ludicrously priced mini bar. I totally understand up charging to a reasonable extent. But at these room prices, it feels exploitative, tacky and just disrespectful. I believe a little thoughtfulness goes a long way with one's customers, but so do unjustifiable transgressions. Despite the above, I had an excellent experience at the 1, and would definitely consider repeating it next time I'm down in Miami. The property is beautiful, the staff are amazing, lots of great dining options on site and nearby. You can't go wrong.

Still in pristine condition. However... 1. The woman that checked me in offered to "upgrade" us to a water view room (I had booked a king city view). She said it would be a bit more "intimate" but have a view of the ocean. I was hesitant because I wanted the space but said ok. We were put in one half of a connecting family room (king bed without the famous raised platform- no seating area - no separate tub/shower). They don't even sell this room on the website - only bookable as a connecting family room. When asked, she said it wasn't an upgrade just an option if we wanted a view over space (?). Fine - fixed - Put in our original style room with a partial ocean view. 2. Asked at check-in what baby items were available for the room. She said a crib. I said what else - she didn't know and would get back to us. Fine. She never did. 2. Had to literally hunt someone down to take our order at the pool. No one came back to check on us. 3. Towels at the pool were quite stained I am shocked that at a rack rate of nearly $1400/night this is the service. The room switch felt like we were getting taken advantage of - like a bait and switch for a cheaper room. At the 1hotel in Cabo we were greeted by name everywhere we went. The only people that were shining lights in my day was Marcos at the valet and Louise in housekeeping. The concierge has also been helpful for reservations. Hoping this stay turns around for us for all the $ we're paying. So far bad vibes. My husband is a physician and works crazy hours - this was supposed to be a treat. Anyway! Here's a photo of my adorable son on his first vacation! We're determined to make the most of this time together.
Be the first to ReplyThis hotel has gone from an amazing experience to basically
This hotel has gone from an amazing experience to basically a Motel 6. I have stayed here 4 times before with my family. This time I was going alone with my husband. I advised the hotel concierge a month in advance of my early arrival and that I needed to check in early. Upon arrival they did not have my room ready. Once I was given my room it was not the room I payed for. They gave me a room in the dungeon on the 3rd floor next to staff and to the machines. I could hear the staff conversations all day long. On top of that on 3 occasions staff opened my door to my room without knocking. The room hair dryer didn't work. The ironing board was damaged and didn't work. The television also didn't work. No body wash in the room only hand soap. When staff cleans they don't clean the floor so the room is always dirty. I wouldn't stay here again or wish this stay upon my worst enemy. The staff in the entry pays no attention to your requests. If you ask for a drink they just ignore you. The service and experience here is horrible will not be coming back.
Be the first to ReplyVery lovely, modern, eco-friendly hotel.
Totally high end and full service. Almost everything was perfection and the hotel is beautiful. Room was amazing, bathroom was the size of a small bedroom. Bar/extras fully stocked. You have to review pricing (high) on the QR code to know not to enjoy these...unless you don't mind the mark up. Certainly everything is there for your convenience. Friend forgot a toothbrush and they delivered one with toothpaste pronto. Didn't have automatic turndown service, but I believe they provide this on request (not needed by us). We had a good view of the beach but no balcony (recommend getting one if you can). Loved the beach service, loved the pools and poolside service. Liked the restaurants. Restaurant food service was mixed from outstanding to okay. Gym is amazing. My companion loved her spa service and was able to get an appointment on a day's notice. Concierge was very helpful and arranged for a rental car for the day we did the Everglades. Used the "house car" once and knew to request it 30 minutes before we needed to leave (there is often a queue/wait). The lobby can be busy and the entry driveway very busy. The only issue, and it was an issue, was the WEED smell in the elevator vicinity on our floor. The second day we thought it was an anomaly, and the smell with strong. The third day we were annoyed and complained. Just should not be at a hotel of this level. Supposedly they sent security up...but the smell was still there, emitting from a rooms nearish the elevator on the fourth day. But for the WEED use by another customer who likely didn't mind the sure-to-come penalty for room cleaning, I highly recommend. This is a truly full service property.
Be the first to ReplyI had a reserveration for Dec 17th as we were flying to FL
I had a reserveration for Dec 17th as we were flying to FL to celebrate our pregnancy and take maternity pictures. Because of an incoming large storm, we had to cancel our trip 4 days before arrival and I had contacted 1 Hotel to see if there was any flexibility with our reservation. Unfortunately I did not realized I had booked a non refundable rate, so they were not able to assist with our request to change the reservation to a later date or a partial refund. We had another hotel booked for the other portion of our stay which was also non refundable rate, but that hotel was more than willing help. I had asked the same about moving the reservation date or a partial refund, but they went above and beyond to offer a full refund which was very helpful. I understand that the 1 Hotel was abiding by the rate category for my reservation, so I do not leave this review to disparage them. I only leave this review to warn others to make sure they book a refundable rate room if they think they may need to make changes, as this hotel will not stray from the policy no matter the circumstance. At over $625 for the single night stay that was lost, it will be difficult for me to consider booking at this hotel when eventually returning to FL during better weather to celebrate our pregnancy.

The design is chic beach organic... Every element is perfect! I love it here!
Be the first to ReplyIncredible property with multiple pools.
There was a bit of a snafu when I checked in but because they process took longer than expected, they went ahead and upgraded one of my rooms to a full suite with kitchenette. The room was pretty clean and a VIBE. The entire hotel is so aesthetically pleasing to the eye - so many photo ops and Instagrammable moments throughout the property. We are fans!
Be the first to ReplyHorrible experience.
We arrive off a red eye flight and our room was not ready. We expected the guy at the front desk to give us options or be helpful but we got nothing. We spoke to the manager Farsin and he basically told us to F off in a nice way. Wasn't helpful at all. They simply did not care. This is not a cheap hotel nor were we staying in a regular room. Overall, the experience has been horrible so far and this will be our last time staying here! Horrible service!!!!
Be the first to ReplyOver priced.
It rained for two days and we were still charged $100 per person fir the pool. Hotel staff is snobby and the signage in the hotel is dismal so you walk around having no idea if you are heading in the right direction. Food is mediocre. If you do have a complaint, try to avoid Abra. She is only interested in "following policy" than caring about the customer experience.
Be the first to Reply5 star "luxury" hotel missing all the 5 star services and
5 star "luxury" hotel missing all the 5 star services and beyond. Thanks to Amex platinum we were upgraded to an apt suite that came with a full kitchen and laundry/dryer. We absolutely had zero use for it all but we loved to get a feel of what it would have been like to be living in south beach. Also with Amex platinum, early check in and check out is given. The rooms weren't ready so they took our bags and said they would notify us via text when ready and have our bags in the room awaiting us. The wait times to check in was a bit of a joke. The line quickly formed behind me and there was only 1 front desk associate. We checked in around 1pm so wasn't peak times. Other staff members near by just stared at all of us waiting. The concierge team was looking blankly at all of us in line. Am I at a 5 star hotel or motel 6? Finally after checking in, the associate was nice and informed me about the property. Next I wanted to know about reservations at the rooftop so checked in with concierge. They told me I have to go up directly and check in with the host as they have no idea what is happening up there and that they don't pick up phones or answer emails. LOL. UHM. Are you the 5 star concierge team or are you just sitting there? I'm a guest at YOUR hotel wanting a reservation at YOUR establishment, and you can't help me? I have to figure it out bc YOUR staff have no means to communicate with each other to help YOUR guests?? Like what?! Anyways. We go up to see about reservations and wait times with the host and they tell us nothing is available and that next rsvp is at 9pm. It's 1 pm at the moment. First off, I'm a guest at your hotel and I understand that your rooftop is hot commodity but one of the main reason of staying at a 5 star "luxury" hotel and dropping $1200 a night is the VIP service that comesfrom being a guest staying there!!!! Like wtf am I dropping money for? As a hotel rooftop, you would think they would have an area just for guests and residents but nope. I had to wait and was just told it's first come first serve at the bar and good luck!!! (!!!??!!!) There were multiple tables open but nope. We then get a text stating our room is ready so we check in. We notice our bags are missing. We call front desk and they state they will bring it up in 20-30 mins. We don't want to waste time so we tell them to bring it up but we are leaving to explore. We return to our room and it's 9:30 pm. OUR BAGS ARE STILL NOT IN THE ROOM. However, there is a rollaway bed that we never asked for in our room. We call front desk and ask about our bags. They say it's coming but it's 9:30pm. We checked in at 1:00pm!!! I demand to talk to a manager. Again, not an issue if I stayed at a 2 star or 1 star Or even 3 star hotel. But a 5 star?!!! This is beyond ridiculous. What if I needed something urgent from my bag? Like medicine? Allergy medicine? Tampons?! Whatever etc!!! The manager gives us $150 hotel credit to redeem the situation and told them to take the rollaway bed bc it was never requested. The one star I gave was for the sustainability of the hotel. The other star is for the Audi test drive we were able to experience for 2 hours. HOWEVER so sketch!!! They didn't even ask me for my drivers ID or take a picture of it. What if I was intoxicated? What if I was a felon? What if I was crazy lol. They never checked..... again great job 5 star hotel for making others safe.... The buffet we experienced and the private pool on the rooftop was great but I honestly do not understand the hype of this mediocre hotel. 5 stars my butt. I had a better time staying at a best western with better service than this 5 star wannabe of a place. REFUND me my money. TLDR: wasted $1200 on a 2 star hotel. SKIP SKIP SKIP. .
Be the first to ReplyI stayed here for two nights with my boyfriend and we spent
I stayed here for two nights with my boyfriend and we spent well over 10K. We are used to staying at luxury properties, so we expected the service to be the 5-stars that the hotel claims to be. Unfortunately, that is not what we experienced during part of our stay which is unacceptable for a so-called "luxury" resort. We ate at the rooftop restaurant, Watr, which does have a nice ambiance, but beware because I contracted food poisoning from a sushi roll that I ate there. This is the only restaurant in all of our stay that my boyfriend and I ate different things, so it was apparent what caused it. When brought to the attention of the hotel staff, they said there was nothing they could do about it and took zero responsibility or action in resolving the solution. Not to mention, one of the room service employees even told us that we should report it because he sees this happen often at this hotel. I was so sick that I had to call an outside emergency nurse to the room because I was too weak to make it to the ER. He said he comes to this particular hotel numerous times throughout the month and sees this happen all the time which is very scary. Our suite had butler service, which was a disappointment at best. The butler service was little to no help, and is basically just a glorified concierge service, which the hotel already has, so I would suggest passing on this suite. My boyfriend contacted the butler numerous times to get a plastic bag that I could use to vomit in from the food poisoning and they didn't respond. We also contacted them for other needs in which a few of our requests were ignored. The bar manager at the lobby bar who is a red-head (don't remember his name) was extremely discriminatory and rude. My boyfriend tried to tip him extra on top of the 18% service charge, and the bar manager responded in an extremely inappropriate manner. He said he, "didn't want his money" and that he wasn't there to "make money but to provide smiles". And then proceeded to forcefully tell my boyfriend to contact the hotel manager and make a complaint. What clearly was some type of misunderstanding resulted in the security team locking us out of our hotel room, which is completely unacceptable. Clearly the bar manager has severe anger issues and is discriminatory against generous guests because according to another employee on the property, this isn't the first time this particular person has lashed out against a guest. Needless to say, I would stay far away from the lobby bar. We were also rudely awakened by a false fire alarm during our sleep one night. With all of this said, I would like to mention that the hotel is nicely decorated and has overall nice amenities. We did receive 5-star service from the person that handled our check in, Alexander. The downstairs pool right before you get to the beach club, also had wonderful service, particularly Pauloa, Elvis and Ahmed were super friendly and beyond helpful. We had high expectations of this "luxury" resort and were disappointed for the expense paid. Unfortunately we will not be staying here again due to the numerous reasons listed above. While this resort claims to be luxurious, it's just a glorified sustainable and eco-friendly hotel. I would recommend spending your money elsewhere if you're looking for luxury service.
Be the first to ReplyReally an awe inspiring lobby and service is on point.
A few minor details they could work on: our room was close to elevator (oops!) but there are simple solutions the hotel missed: a sound barrier between the floor and door; sound dampeners around the elevator lobby, all easy fixes that would have made our amazing room much more enjoyable. The room itself was top-notch, other than the nickel & dime charges for water and chips (sigh) the experience was on point! (Room 1101)

1 Hotel South Beach in Miami Beach is a great place to stay in the middle of everything at the beach. I really like everything that they have available here. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating to make sure that you have everything that you need for the best stay.
Be the first to ReplyStayed here multiple times in the past and never will again.
The staff is rude, inexperienced and management of them is nonexistent. Checking in there was a line to the entrance with only 2 of the 6 check in stations manned by staff. On top of that those employees were also doing luggage valet and food delivery functions - just a total disaster. In room dining a complete nightmare with food arriving stone cold and utensils only for one despite two served meals. The meal we had at Watr was atrocious. There are way better options in South Beach within the luxury setting - try them instead
Be the first to ReplyImagine a hotel that DOES NOT ALLOW CHILDREN TO EAT LUNCH
Imagine a hotel that DOES NOT ALLOW CHILDREN TO EAT LUNCH WITH THEIR FAMILIES IN THEIR RESTAURANT. Shameful policy that needs to be called out and does a serious disservice to families who are paying for this mistreatment as guests. Families should avoid this place at all cost. If your thing is hanging with self-absorbed pretentious nihilists who are anti-family and anti-children then go for it.
