Love this place.
The food is always delicious and the atmosphere is interesting.. It's a great place to go for lunch.

Cute mediterranean restaurant that could be a good date spot or even a good group meal vibe. I'm not sure how crowded it gets on weekends but walked in on a weekday and there were open tables available. I unfortunately opted for a predictable order of greek salad with grilled chicken. It was delicious and filling and I scarfed down the whole thing. Plenty of olives which is my kryptonite. If you order for takeout note that there is a separate window/entrance where you can pick up.

Amazing breakfast, got the Israeli spread with eggs siniya (with tahini, some tomato and herbs on a skillet). Came with pita and sliced fresh bread, Israeli salad, olives, avocado, labne, pesto, and feta cheese. The Israeli breakfast comes with a coffee and a juice. Nice chill ambience on a Saturday morning and fast service.

Been wanting to try this place for a while. Made a reservation. We were prompted seated. Our waiter was nice. I got a hot toadie . It was quite good. Shared a bunch of small plates. Kind of typical Mediterranean stuff. Would say the yogurt dish was pretty darn good. And got the chicken schnitzel. Which i liked. Potato wedges could have been a bit better. Prices were pretty typical. Overall a good experience

If you want a classic new york city bustling (but cramped) exciting dinner, this is place. It's such a vibe to grab and share plates with friends, have a few drinks, and hang out before going out. I went with one of my friends and we ordered a few things to share. We got the hummus plates, a couscous dish, and the schnitzel. It was all pretty good. The service was relatively good. Given the space is cramped, it's hard for people to go back and forth but besides that it was lovey and the staff was nice.

If u can't make it to Tel Aviv this is the closest you'll get! Lots of Israeli love by diners. It's packed. Dance on tables with tambourines! Eat the best eggplant, Lamb and Israeli Hummus. No haters here! Enjoy

the food tasted great!! my favorite part of the meal was definitely the hummus and the pita bread! the pita bread is so delicious. they gave us refills of the pita bread too!! the service was good! we sat outside and we were not forgotten about. the servers were fun and energetic. the vibe was nice too! i would definitely recommend this place
Be the first to ReplyEverything was delicious.
Aside from what's pictured (hummus, falafel, tabouli, beets, labne) we got the schnitzel salad and Malabi. Jachnun was already sold out. Service seemed but short handed but staff was really nice all around. Labne was absolutely perfect if I could have it every day I would. 10/10

12 Chairs is the perfect weekend brunch spot! I love posting up in the outdoor seating section.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious cute place for Mediterranean brunch! This place
Delicious cute place for Mediterranean brunch! This place was buzzing when we got here - a friend made a res for party of 5, and judging by how busy it was Sunday midday, I would say make a res if you're gonna be there on the weekend! It's pretty packed, so can be difficult to hear conversations. I had the shakshuka which was so delicious and at a reasonable price point, especially for Williamsburg. We also shared their house made hummus which was rich, flavorful, and so decadent to be enjoyed with their pita bread! Some of the people in my party had food allergies, so the servers were good about inquiring with the kitchen for those ingredients / cross contamination which we appreciated. A nice lil spot in Williamsburg for weekend brunch at a good price!

The Israeli Breakfast is a must. The SHAKSHUKA was fantastic and the EGGS SINIYA were very good. Service was excellent. Be sure to make a reservation as the fill up quickly.
Be the first to ReplyThis place held up to the hype.
We shared the falafel and hummus and ordered a variety of dishes. The pita was fluffy and warm, hummus was delicious, all of the mains were good but the lamb was particularly impressive. Drinks were also good. Price for food quality was very good.

My roommates and I got 5 small plates to share amongst ourselves:-Beet salad: 8/10 can never go wrong with a beet a goat cheese salad its so good and balancing. -Hummus: 10/10 must get! the pita it comes with is so fluffy too. Not sure what the green sauce (or oil) was in the middle but I enjoyed every single bite. We easily devoured this dish quickly -Falafel and tahini: 8/10 the tahini sauce is unreal-Babaganoush: 7/10 good but the hummus stole the show as the best dip -Halloumi: 7/10 very solid. enjoyed the oil and garlic on this and used it to dip my pita in. I will definitely be coming back. Service was a little slow but went a generally slow time so might be different at a busier time.

Ambience and service was great, and the food was good for the most part (GREAT hummus) but we had issues with the seasoning and flavor of some of the food, such as the shakshuka and the bread.

I went here for my birthday dinner and can't recommend enough! For large groups there is a prefixe menu that comes with various appetizers, dips, and mains that give you a good taste of the menu. They were also very accommodating to dietary restrictions and we ended up having a ton of leftovers. There wasn't a dish we didn't like! If you come later at night the atmosphere is awesome - the staff hands out tambourines and people get up and dance to Israeli music. Definitely a birthday dinner I'll never forget.
Be the first to ReplyVery sub par food.
Definitely not worth coming. Salmon was not tasty and all the food is runny. Nice attempt at Israeli food but was a waste of a brunch.

After making a reservation more than 3 weeks in advance and was clearly mismanaged by the restaurant and waiting for 30 minutes in 30 degree weather outside we were told to take a table outside or leave (Didn't book an outdoor reservation). Was shocked by the customer service since they accepted the reservation. Other people were waiting more than an hour with a reservation outside as well and treated just as poorly. Unfortunate as they clearly overbooked and chose to treat customers in this way.

Great Israeli food! Fresh veggies, great vegetarian/vegan options and for carnivores as well. Great atmosphere, good variety of Israeli wine. Shakahuka is a classic, pita schnitzels is a must.
Be the first to ReplyDo not even bother.
Overpriced and terribly managed. Sat us down and we're pressing us to leave within twenty minutes. Asked us to finish our drinks at the bar after paying for a four top. Never coming back. You shouldn't try it.
Be the first to ReplyWe had an incredible meal at 12 chairs.
The food is delicious and creative. It's such a fun vibe and feels like you're in israel with Israeli music playing. The drinks are delicious. I got the frishman, which had vodka, cucumber and elderflower liquor and was to die for. My fiancé had the Smokey Adam, which had mezcal and bourbon with rosemary and tasted more like mezcal, so I loved it!For apps we got hummus and babaganoush- you can't go wrong. I had both the last time I visited and have been thinking about the baba since. It's garlicky, light, fresh, and incredible. Some baba tastes weird- this is perfect. They also serve dips with pickles/ olives/ pepperocinis and fresh warm pita! For entrees, we got the chicken schnitzel pita with matbucha, pickles and tehini- incredible. My fiancé said it was like an Israeli chicken parm without the cheese. I got the grilled chicken salad and we also got chicken skewers with a tomato salad on top. That chicken was unreal. For desserts, we got the Malabi and knafeh. The malabi was refreshing and perfect for summer. The knafeh was hot and the cheese was delicious paired with the orange blossom syrup. We can't wait to go back- next time to try brunch!

I am absolutely mortified by my awful experience! In the morning I went for brunch at the brooklyn branch. I didn't receive any service past putting in my order. Even the bill was thrown at me at the end. When I spoke to the manager she didn't even apologize for the terrible experience. I enjoyed the vibe of the place so I hoped the soho branch would be a more accommodating and pleasant experience, being an American Israeli And enjoying the music. We went to celebrate our graduation. We ordered a beet salad, hummus, and Greek salad. We also had a few drinks. The drinks and pickles were the only positive experience of the night. The salad was made up on lettuce that instead of throwing it away they used it before the new week starts and the tomatoes were squishy as the last resort before being thrown out!!! ewwww! The beet salad was drenched in vinegar and the hummus absolutely gross! We returned the beet salad and had the misfortune or trying the rest. we told the waitress that she could happily pick it up although embarrassed because how is it that everything was gross when at least in the morning we got shit service but enjoyed the food. When the manager came over she made us feel super uncomfortable and told us that we had issues in Brooklyn in the morning and that it's an us problem, that's the bill, and it is what it is, DISGUSTING behavior for a restaurant! We used to order religiously during corona but after this treatment definitely not going back. Save yourselves the energy and don't go here. Spend your money in a place that will care about customer satisfaction and provide good food (not even great! Haha enjoy at least the minimum) good luck friends
Be the first to ReplyI got the smoked salmon scrambled "isreali breakfast"
I got the smoked salmon scrambled "isreali breakfast" style, which comes with assorted dips, coffee, and juice. The dish was good but the bread it came with was stale and terrible. I also wouldn't waste your money on the "isreali breakfast", the dips were so random (tuna salad? Guacamole?) why isn't there tahini or hummus? For the coffee options I was asked if I wanted hot, iced, or cappuccino, I requested an iced Capp but was given a hot capp and was also charged extra for it. Why wouldn't you tell me that it costs extra? I think we paid $52 for everything in the picture. Very overpriced.Essentially it was 2 breakfasts. Either way the food was ok. The dips were random and nothing special. Wouldn't recommend, wouldn't come back.
Be the first to ReplyI pass this restaurant on my way to work and was impressed
I pass this restaurant on my way to work and was impressed that they were bustling at 9 a.m. on a Sunday morning. I love breakfast so I decided to treat myself. On the morning in question, I arrived a little after 8 and was seated. The first strike against them is the tables are too low and being 6'1", I was uncomfortable. Then the server had an attitude as if I should be lucky to be in his presence, what? He handed me a menu and went to fetch my coffee. He warmed up a bit as he sat down opposite me, and crossed his legs to take my order. I felt that was a little forward and unusual but I let it go. I commented to him on how the place always seemed so busy with a line of customers waiting which he confirmed, "We're always slammed." At this time there were maybe 4 tables occupied? I ordered the Shakshuka. He suggested, and admittedly, his accent was strong so I didn't understand everything he said as the loud Israeli pop music played. Anyhow, as I understood it, adding the Israeli breakfast was a good value and authentic, so I went along. Stupid me, I realized as the food was served, that I basically ordered 2 breakfasts and spent more than twice as much money as I had planned. I am usually savvy but it was early and I wanted to enjoy myself, not have my guard up. Lastly, the food wasn't exceptional, not terrible but nothing stood out. When I asked for the check and requested a to-go bag for the many dips that I couldn't possibly have eaten, I was handed a bag and 5 little plastic to-go condiment cups with ill-fitting lids that I had to fill, and the server disappeared. I know of some people who don't tip if they've experienced bad service at a restaurant, but I'm not one of them. I always tip 20% or more if the service is good, that's just how I am. I know we're all struggling to exist in this insane city that, like the rest of the country, has gotten over the top expensive. The server's behavior was underhanded, and deceptive so he can get more money, very disappointing. On a somewhat positive note, I liked the menu choices for dinner, perhaps I'll give this restaurant another chance? Currently, I have no plans on returning.
Be the first to ReplyGreat spot for a quick meal.
Hipster ambience, with lots of plants and indoor/outdoor seating. Excellent location, easily walkable from the subway and other popular Brooklyn spots such as Domino Park. The food was beautifully presented, delicious and a great value.
