We serendipitously discovered Aarde restaurant on our last day in Madrid, and what it perfect ending to an epic trip! With a backdrop of a beautiful day, we knew we wanted an outdoor dining experience. Our desire for a special and memorable final dinner in Spain led us here. To describe the food and atmosphere as exquisite would be an understatement. The menu offered a delightful fusion of international flavors, making it a challenge to select our dishes. Fortunately, the attentive and knowledgeable waitstaff, working in teams, provided exceptional guidance on the many delicious options. Our selections were nothing short of amazing, and it's hard to imagine any item on this menu being a disappointment. Aarde is worth every penny. We highly recommended it if you're looking for an exceptional dining experience in Madrid!

I was a little skeptical about this place given some of the negative reviews online. Overall the dining experience wasn't stellar but the food definitely made up for it. We had the chicken, steak, and risotto (all were excellent). Dessert was solid too. Portions are on the smaller side but that's to be expected. Many of the servers didn't speak English which was surprising given the location but wasn't a deal breaker since I speak Spanish fluently. Lots of "influencer-like" patrons which I didn't mind too much being from LA. With that said, the ambiance inside was "cool" and "trendy." Compared to other restaurants in Madrid it's definitely on the pricey side. For US patrons looking for a nice dining experience unlikely to be a deal breaker.

The food is great but the staff and overall service is dismal. Slow and inattentive is the only way to explain the staff at this trendy hot spot. If you have time to wait and be ignored then this is the place for you. When you get food it is fantastic but it's the insufferable staff you have to get through to get it.

So this place was a happy accident our first night in Madrid. After settling in, most of the restaurants were either packed ot thr kitchen was closed. However, at Aarde, they accommodates us (party of 4). The ambiance is nice, dimly lit with upbeat music while dining. The staff was also upbeat and friendly. The food was amazing the first night. They told us the kitchen was getting ready to close so order everything at one time, which is why we had so many dishes. The jollof rice was a little lackluster but my entree (Churrasco) was delicious. The selections of cheeses and cured meats was great as well. Fast forward... it was so good we wanted to have our last meal in Madrid there. We had the exact same waitress and I ordered the exact same meal I wanted, however, she happily charged $110 for the Wagyu beef instead of my selection for the sirloin. So, the food was amazing, the bill was not and that kind of dampened our final meal. Anyway, I'd still try this place, but with some language barriers, make sure they don't charge you for the higher priced item than what you're asking for!

Pedรญ una carne termino medio y la cocinaron mucho. Parecรญa que las personas que trabajaban ahรญ no tenรญan experiencia.

Great food and location! Service was definitely sub-par, probably because we spoke English. The servers were more attentive to the Spanish speaking tables around us and we had to order some things twice because they forget them. For Americans, Spain doesn't do tips, they just charge you for what you order, so there's no real obligation for them to follow up like in the states when waiters come by to ask how everything came out. Here you have to be more assertive when you want or need something.Coconut Torrija was great! The Baklava is a deconstructed form, so don't expect the standard glazed pastry from a bakery. The wine is solid but slightly pricey(likely a location thing because it's next to popular stuff) the pizza is neapolitan style and comes out pretty fast.
