a routine morning walk took a turn for the delicious!my little bird heard through the blogging grapevine that a new noodle bar has graced the boat quay scene.the opening hours (7am-1am, yes, please get it right for the business listing) was a perfectly timed breakfast destination reward after burning up essential calories to get here.it was well worth it, i would probably recommend walking back after you indulge in a bowl here.as for myself, i avoided finishing up my dry mee kia just because i didn't want to feel guilty about not walking back.of course the observant staff, part of the extended family of ah ter(yes, that is his name, and involves the chinese character 'pig'), wanted to know if their noodles were not tasty?it was a little stodgy for my liking but the taste was good.a delicate balance of spiciness, sweetness and tartness.a classic it's not you, it's me.but i do love the soup!one sip and you will understand. ย i was quickly adviced that i can simply order soup with ingredients sans noodles, which i did on my second visit.special mention has to go out to their pig's liver!perfectly cooked with an initial crunch which gave way to tenderness.no lingering powdery feel whatsoever that may haunt the memories of those who simply hate liver.no complains whatsoever about the quality of the ingredients used and i polished up the soup on both occasions!adding a drink to make it a set is a no brainer and their soya milk is my recommendation.available in original, matcha or black.all organic, low in the sugar department but high in my books.you need to come after 5pm, if you want to try their side dishes.and kindly note that last order for noodles is at 2.30pm.they close between 3-5pm.i'm guessing that is when they transition into a bar.yes, alcohol will be served then, they are after all located in boat quay, so.noodles will then be available again from 5-8pm.i'll definitely have to come back during this timing to see how they keep things going till 1am, way past my bed time to be honest.but one thing is for sure, ah ter's 60 year old legacy will continue.......
