Best hummus in the USA
This is an amazing restaurant The rating I see on Trip advisor doesnโt do it justice The food quality is outstanding Specifically the hummus is spectacular ( I have eaten hummus in the Middle East and Arabic peninsula- this shames most places there ) The olive oil is one of the best I had in years from a private old olive orchard Everything I tried ( did not try everything on the menu ) was at least very good, mostly exceptional Highly recommended

The place is a blessing in disguise for members who love middle eastern food. Its simple, tasty and makes you love your food. This is a no frills place and value for money. I've been eating at Al Aseel for more than 4 years - the quality is bang on.
Respect to the owner & chef to maintain the food quality and stick to basics.
Good "salsa"
Stopped in for a quick bite. The beef kabob was taste as was the rice and pita. One thing I really liked was the "salsa"....not the name for it but it was the green pepper sauce they brought out with the bread. Nice spicy bite but not overpowering.
Be the first to ReplyA taste of Mediterranean with family
We always enjoy trying a new eating experience and my son suggested Mediterranean. There were five of us so we ordered two Al Aseel Mixed Grill 2 plus Appetizers. The server was slow in bringing out plates and silverware even tho we repeated asked for them. We weren't sure she understood or whether she just was trying to care for other concerns. To her benefit, I assumed that she was new to the restaurant. The food was very good and tasty. We had a lot of rice to take home, plus the remainder of the uneaten food.

My husband and I had tried out this restaurant twice and liked it. We took my aunt and uncle there for lunch recently. On our past experience, the waitress didn't speak much English but were able to understand. This time, the waitress didn't speak ANY English at all. We asked her about the difference on the veggie platter and masa for 4. She just smiled and walked away. We thought she would ask someone else to help us but no one came. So we thought to be adventurous and order maza for 4 and then fried chicken. When the dishes came, we asked her what they were and again, no explanation. We tasted and knew one was a humus while the other was some cucumber salad. Then the other 3 were mystery dishes. Fried chicken was dry. Then the shocker was that they added 12% tip on party of 4. We asked the gentleman, unsure if he was the owner, and he said that's a mandatory charge. We were going to tip anyhow but just didn't expect this as it was sneaky. In addition, the 12% mandatory tip wasn't listed anywhere on the menu, so who would know? Never going back!

My mom actually thought it was a good idea to bring me here for my bday. Talk about a crappy B-Day party. Atmosphere sucks food was mediocre and place looks run down. I know I'm sounding ungrateful but coming here really put me in a bad mood.
Be the first to Replyit's a cafe, the kind you would find on the corner in any arab neighborhood
If you lived in Amman or Nablus, or even Jeddah, there would be a cafe similar to this one on the ground floor of your residence or down on the street corner. You might eat in and watch a football game with some hubbly-bubbly; or you would, more often, pick up a chicken and trimmings to take home when you didn't want to cook. It was there, not the Tour d'Argent, but you didn't expect it to be. The proprietor would know your name and throw in extra pita or pickles because he would know you liked them. That's al-Aseel, and if you're from the Middle East or you have lived there, you should feel at home. If you're a visitor who isn't or hasn't, enjoy the experience and the food. You don't "review" places like this; just be happy that they exist.
Be the first to Replyexcellent food for a very reasonable price!
The food was very good - we had the fried chicken plate with rice and salad, along with hummus and a falafel sandwich and our bill was $20! You can eat in or sit outside on the patio. Service was a little slow but overall a great experience. We will be back!
Be the first to ReplyVery good Middle Eastern Food
Al Aseel is located around the corner from our neighborhood but we never had visited it. After reading one of those 'Gems of the neighborhood' type of restaurant reviews and learned about it, we decided to give it a try. I had the lamb kabob and my husband had the chicken...both were very tasty. Our service was great and the price was very inexpensive: $30.00 for two, including tip. We will definitely revisit Al Aseel and try their other dishes.
Be the first to ReplyNational chicken day!
Great restaurant with even better price! Came by to celebrate National fried chicken day. Food is exellent and it's definitely new favorite spot :)

Try to experience Arabic food, as we were late for dinner and very much liked the food served at Al Aseel Grill and Cafe. Nothing was too spicy, the quantity and taste was good.
Enjoyed having dinner seating outside with cool breeze.
