I had the heirloom tomatoes and they are very nice, but not what I expected. They arrive in a bowl with a lattice work of bread and have been baked with cheese. The beef was perfectly cooked and paired with artichokes. I ordered a chocolate dessert that was very rich with ice cream. My companions all got the baba with rum and were raving over it Update: this is our third time here. Although, the staff greeted as usual, one of the waitstaff admonished me curtly when I went to move my water glass over to help him make room for my daughter's appetizer. His exact words were, "Madam, please!" In a condescending tone. The signature appetizer of lobster and truffled chicken was ok. Not worth the additional ten pounds. The mushrooms were tough and chewy. The sauce was excellent. The dry aged beef is normally excellent here;however, tonight it lacked flavor and was over cooked. Three of our party sent their meat back because it was cooked well done and they asked for medium. Tonight real "Texas-style" steak knives were needed rather than the dull knives given for these steaks. The bone marrow was excellent as always. The accompanying artichoke pieces were dry and had no flavor. The three steaks that were returned were from a different cut of meat and were perfectly cooked and lacked the fat and grizzle the other two at the table had. The hot towel service after the entrees is refreshing. We skipped the cheese course because the streaks took so long coming out. The dark chocolate truffle before dessert was excellent. The coconut chocolate truffle was ok. The lemon mint soufflé served with lemon sorbet on the side was not spectacular and was quite tart. The fresh minced mint leaves were all at the bottom so there was no "marrying" of the flavors. It was more like two strangers only nodding at each other. The Baba dessert with rum is served with your choice of rum and was excellent and highly recommended. After tea, our waiter came to apologize about the three steaks and the bill was adjusted. We are going there two more times in the next week...so we are hoping for good things and keeping a positive and hopeful attitude.
