The best in Hoboken.
The Bread Pudding may be the best dessert I've ever had. Our go to place whenever friends visit.
Be the first to ReplyAntique Antique was one of my favorite places we went to
Antique Antique was one of my favorite places we went to in all of Hoboken. We went immediately at 5pm because we didn't have a reservation and wanted to catch a show in midtown. We were seated quickly and discussed what to get. We split a pasta dish (I forgot the name but it was amazing) and had the famous bread pudding. Let me start by saying the atmosphere of this restaurant is exactly what you want from a NJ / NY bar dinner. It is sexy and bustling, old yet upscale. I ateeee this up. The food was beyond incredible. The pasta dish we had was 11/10. Just so flavorful, creamy and comforting for that December night. The bread pudding can not be missed. It is what they're known for and it seriously is the best you'll ever have. It is physically massive so you can share this with 4 people easily. Overall - a perfect night out with the best food and company. Can not wait to be back!!

We went to celebrate my friend's birthday but we couldn't get a reservation for her birthday even though it was three weeks away. So the expectations were high last night and we were not disappointed. The Martini's were awesome, the service impeccable. We ordered several appetizers to share at our server's recommendation, she was spot on. The meatball with the crusty bread was delicious, the rigatoni and the Cavatelli was to die for and you can't leave without ordering the bread pudding and I don't care how full you are, you can finish it for breakfast

The place is small and cramped and dimly lit. We had to use our phone light to see the menu. The music at times was so loud I was yelling over it to talk. The bathrooms are small and kind of dirty, there was no holder for the toilet paper and I found it behind the toilet which is gross. The wait staff felt very chill. Our waiter was nice, he forgot my friends drink and then brought it out and didn't charge for it so that's good. In order to eat at a decent time you need to book a reservation way in advance. I had to keep my eye on it when the new reservations would open online so I can get the time slot I wanted which was 7:30. I booked like 2 weeks in advance. We ended up getting there at 7:45 and it was no issue. We had a to wait a bit for the host to arrive at the front to seat us. There were some people trying to get in without a reservation and it seemed the staff was nice to them and tried but I don't think it happened. I got the burger $26. Big filling burger. The flavor was like no other burger. The crisp/ char on the outside tasted so unique. Perhaps because it was cooked in the 100 year old oven. The fries where cooked perfectly. I loved the addition of the pickle on the side and the pickles on top of the burger! I love pickles. My friend got the Mezzi Rigatoni and the sauce was delicious, also never tasted a sauce like that before. She really enjoyed it. All big portions. And we had to get the bread pudding the size of a head for dessert! $25. Best bread pudding I ever had!! It's crispy on the outside but hot and steamy and puddingy on the inside. The cocktail I got was "grow a pear" $16 and it was very good. Sweet and bubble but not too sweet and had a delicate fruity flavor. Despite its flaws I would definitely come back just because the food is so good. The prices are spot on for the portions and quality of food you are getting. Come try this place!
Be the first to ReplyI dined here a few weeks ago and was very disappointed.
I feel our waiter was attentive up until we got our appetizers. The appetizers which were very good, however a bit rushed. There were 5 of us dining and sharing apps. Food was still on the plates and they were looking to take it away. For dinner, I was between two dishes, the waiter recommended the short ribs over my other choice. Since I do love short ribs I had to try. It came to the table and I am saddened to say I was not a fan. The spices did not sit well with me from the first taste. I took one bite and was waiting to see our server and get his attention. However, once our entrees were placed on the table, we did not see a waiter, bus boy, server of any sort until they came around and collected the dishes. When I told the bus boy that I did not care for the dish and had one bite, he asked if I wanted it wrapped. Sure, I guess. The waiter then emerged after sometime with our desserts. I told him I did not care for my entree at all and his response was "well I hope the bread pudding makes up for it". I was taken back because while it was tasty that's not the response you should give someone who did not eat. Not even an "I'm sorry, you didn't care for it." I wasn't looking for it to be off my bill, and at that point I was not going to take another entree since we got served our dessert, but there was not an ounce of consideration for the dining customer.
Be the first to ReplyBest restaraunt I've been to in Hoboken.
Watch the video on my food insta, emmilyeatss. The bread pudding was the best dessert I've ever had. The spaghetti squash carbonara was absolutely delicious!

My friend and I had dinner there tonight and everything we order was perfection. But my favorite and I will go there again and again to order will be the artichoke salad.

Can't say enough good things about this spot, although it's a harder res to get it's so worth it to go. I went for my birthday dinner with family and friends and will say it is a bit loud inside but it's all part of the fun atmosphere. We ordered the pepperoni bread, the meatball, and Arugala salad to start which all exceeded my expectations , especially the famous stuffed pepperoni bread!! Then for mains I split the burger which was 10/10 and the lasagna edges with my friend. And ofc the star of the show is their bread pudding which cannot be beat. The portions are huge so keep in mind when ordering here!

Antique Bakery has one of the best desserts in town - the bread pudding. It's the size of an adult's head and is a sight to see when caramel gets poured over it. Pro tip: order to go and eat it for breakfast the next day. The drinks are solid and the restaurant is a great vibe when you sit at the bar and see them made. The place used to be a bread bakery and the ownership left a lot of the details like the huge wood fire oven in the back. The food is phenomenal, especially the antique meatball and lasagna burnt edges. I recommend making reservations if you're going with more than two people or for a special occasion. Otherwise the bar is full-service and works well.
Be the first to ReplyFood and drinks are amazing.
Very nice staff. Make sure you make reservations and parking isn't great either.

The service is different, so don't be alarmed when the staff is a little sassy to you. Food is good, huge portions so make sure to share and go as a group!

Not sure what kind of people would vote this as the best restaurant. Horrible dry chicken. The 1/2 chicken is tiny and dry. $30????? Not worth the money. They are out of their mind charging this price. I will never be ordering from here again .

Their aged steaks are amazing, bread pudding is delicious, you can eat like millionaires or choose to avoid emptying your wallet, all up to you.My only complaint is, the tables don't really need to be antique, it wobbles even with our slightest movement. The painting, decorations and overall atmosphere is blending in with the antique feeling quite well, some may find it brings back good old memories.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent dinner, ambience and service.
Fabulous Italian food and they made accommodations for the gluten-free/dairy-free needs. Highly recommend'
Be the first to ReplyI just love this place.
I love the vintage vibe, the arugula salad, and the roasted chicken. Everything is good here - sometimes the portions are TOO large in my opinion but come hungry and you won't be disappointed. We will definitely be back again and again and again. I am sad that we can't get delivery from here anymore because we live a BIT too far away :(

Great food and drinks. Even better vibe. Staff is super friendly and the manager is the best of the lot. Would be back here!
Be the first to ReplyLate review but this place does a stellar job.
One of the top places in Hoboken. Staff was super nice and really understood hospitality. I wish I remembered our servers name but "guy in the jump suit" did a suburb job. Keep up the good work and the place is very cool looking.
Be the first to ReplyI was very impressed.
Great food, staff & vibes. The menu is made like a movie script which is so cool & one of a kind. We sat at the bar, right near the Bread Ovens which is where all the food is prepared. This was a very different experience, and the highlight of our day. The bar was great, our bartender was absolutely amazing and friendly. The brunch menu here is small, but has many unique options, I highly recommend the burger, shrimp and grits, and the bread pudding, those flavors are out of this world. Would highly recommend to anyone who likes a thriving atmosphere along with delicious food. Many compliments to the chef, he should definitely apply for a MICHELIN STAR
Be the first to Replycertain menu items are good, not all.
service could be a whole lot better. it's worth coming for the bread pudding alone - it truly is amazing. we ordered delivery a few weeks ago and it was inedible. definitely go in and enjoy the meal.
Be the first to ReplyThis place lived up to the hype.
As soon as we walked in we were welcomed with kind and friendly staff. We were able to get a table very fast and were seated in front of the beautiful bar. We ordered a few appetizers per the suggestion of our waiter and we loved them. Our main courses were also very fresh and delicious. Our waiter also recommended the bread pudding for dessert and it was THE BEST bread pudding we had all ever had. Absolutely incredible. Can't wait to go back.

Jessica was beyond knowledgeable and so welcoming. The good service and quality cuisine will have me coming back.
Be the first to ReplyThe food, ambiance, and service at Antiqua was incredible!
The food, ambiance, and service at Antiqua was incredible! Jean Micheal was our server and he patiently went through every entre and special of the day on the menu explaining each dish. He made sure we ordered just the right amount from every course. The service overall was very attentive and professional. The food was delicious and the bread pudding is a must have!!!
Be the first to ReplyFood in a firm 5 stars.
The food was great. There are reasons that Eater and Yelp have this so highly rated. Our problems are the fact we were sat deep in a dark coal mine to be put through Guantanamo Bay style noise torture. When we asked about turning the music down we were told that's the way it is. Everyone needed flashlights to actually be able to read the menu or see what they were eating. My recommendation is as long as they have a quiet and well lit shed out front for extra seating USE IT!
