Delicious enough so that the inflexibility doesn't matter so much
They've got their own way of doing things--not even minor adjustments to the dishes, a confusing menu in terms of amounts of food per person, strangely sized rice bowls, etc. But our food was really great. They've also got impressive heaters at their outdoor tables--we had a very comfortable meal there on a cold January night.

Found this little gem on other foodie websites while looking for dinner ideas for a weekend trip to DC. So glad we found it. The restaurant sits on a pretty busy strip of restaurants near DuPont Circle, with an outdoor seating area in front of the building and spilling out to the edge of the sidewalk. It was pretty crowded when we got there, so the only seats were in this bar-style area just off the front door. It was oddly intimate for just two of us in a corner, but if youโre looking for a louder vibe, then wait for a larger table inside. The food was amazing. Spicy. Flavorful. Spicy! Based on recommendations we found online, we took two main dishes and an appetizer to share between the two of us. Chili wontons were greatโflavorful and juicy with a touch of spice. Mapo Tofu was awesome. And then the OG La-Zi chicken was crazy good, and crazy spicy. Maybe because we ordered tons of spice, but our tongues (and stomachs) were on fire (in such a good way too) the whole time. Drinks were goodโcould have used a little less ice and more drink. But pretty tasty. So glad we found this restaurant through our research of DC!

Decent food but the price was not worth it for the flavors and presentation and service. Wouldn't go back. Chicken was mostly peppers and chilis and peanuts. Wonton in broth was good. But

I love this restaurant. One of my favorite hidden gems in all Dc. The beef with hand pulled noodles is one of my restaurant meals ever.

The food and drinks were delicious! Everything is $14 (except beer & wine). They made an excellent Old Fashion as well as a variety of other cocktails served in large glasses with 1 very large ice cube. We shared several dishes but I really loved the wontons and the chicken wings. Booths could accommodate 6 people.
