- I did reply to the feedback website you listed in full detail. No one has reached out to me. Seems like a repeat of my visit to your restaurant, no one cares.
Be the first to ReplyWe are very impressed with our experience here! We go to
We are very impressed with our experience here! We go to Benihana a lot both in our state and out-of-state. Our chef (Nathan) was absolutely incredible!!!! He really took the experience up a couple of notches and was HILARIOUS! He was great at both cooking the food and entertaining which is so hard to achieve both at the same time! His jokes were things we have never ever heard of before and they were so clever and made us burst out laughing throughout the whole dinner! The food was delicious and cooked perfectly! We are so glad we decided to come to this location!
Be the first to ReplyThey lost me as a customer tonight.
I figured I would lead with that. And its a shame because my waiter Victor was a superstar. Unfortunately that was the only highlight of this meal. The food was a B-/C+. The ambiance was a C. The show the waiters do has been watered down and made boring. The manager wouldnt honor our holiday gift cards. The meal was a 50-60$ meal in a 200$ price tag. There are better options out there.
Be the first to ReplyHad a reservation for 6 and people with gluten allergies
Had a reservation for 6 and people with gluten allergies which they said would be no problem. Needless to say at 730 when we were about to walk out we were finally seated well almost they tried to split our party of 15 among multiple tables and when asked about gluten they said we will try our best. I guess this is me trying my best not to leave a bad review. I hope this company goes out of business as they really could give two shits about reviews or the customers.
Be the first to ReplyIt was mania inside.
Took 30 minutes to sit and another 15 minutes before someone spoke to us. Another 20 minutes after drink orders before I went to the nearby Chick-fil-e and got a great meal for the price of one at Benihana lol. The place was full of drunks, the staff yelling and swearing. I've never had a worse experience at a restaurant in my life and I didn't even reach the point of having a water lol.
Be the first to ReplySmelled wonderful from the parking lot.
.. after we were sat, we were greeted by a hostess who, instead of welcoming us, went through a list of all of the extra fees and up charges that we were going to experience. If we wanted fried rice instead of white steamed rice- that's an extra $7/per person, so for a family of 4, that's $28. Drinks not included. If we wanted the salad and soup that comes with your meal at every other Japanese Steakhouse, you guessed it- it's an extra $7, so for our group of 4, we are now up to almost $75 and we've not even ordered our extremely overpriced meal yet. We love Hibachi, but the food is not that great, the service was less horrible, and the restaurant seemed dirty. Very expensive and food is not worth the price.

If you want hibachi, take your money to Kobe's! Extremely poor management. Be prepared to be sat an hour after your actual reservation time. Food is oily, bland and overpriced. I could've gotten a much better meal elsewhere with what I paid for here I came to Benihana because I hadn't had it in years.. yea I won't ever be back.
Be the first to ReplyI celebrated my birthday 3/16 for the second time at this
I celebrated my birthday 3/16 for the second time at this location and what a huge disappointment it was on my special day. Last year I thoroughly enjoyed myself but this year was totally a 360 in the worst way. First off I had reservations scheduled for 8:15pm I arrived 30min early to allow for parking and decided call and check-in while outside driving around in circles waiting for a spot to become available. Then once I finally got inside we were told they were waiting for tables to be available so that was an additional 45 min plus or so... Once we were told where we'd be dining at and provided menus there was huge feeling of abandonment because no one person not a chef, mgr, or server came to attend to our table it was like we were all invisible. 3 of the original guests sitting along with us left after the 1st hour went by and honestly I should have left too but I really enjoyed my meal the last time and wanted to taste it again so I stuck it out even though I was extremely unhappy, irritated and annoyed all at the same time. Long story short we ended up eating way after 10pm, finally voiced our dissatisfaction with the service to several staff members, was told there was a shortage of chefs available and by the time the food arrived we barely had an appetite to eat and ended up boxing everything to go. One staff member who was not assigned to our table came over to apologize for our lack of service as & acknowledged that should not have happened and she felt bad that our table was neglected for so long she offered to help be our server which I appreciated since no else stepped up...very sad. Finally one of the mgrs offered to discount our tab but it was the lack of acknowledgment and empathy for me that was not enough. Myself and another lady at our table were celebrating our birthdays but this is one I will never forget. I don't plan to return anytime soon.

The manager needs to take a class in his customer service skills. I would not recommend this place.
Be the first to ReplyI can't believe that I didn't read the reviews before
I can't believe that I didn't read the reviews before coming here, what a joke this place is. If this is what started the whole Japanese steakhouse thing, then I don't know how it ever took off. To be clear, every one of the people working there are totally awesome and tried their best. However, they are obviously told to advise everyone that it will be only a 45 minute wait even though - we had a reservation at 8:45 and we are still not eating at 11 o'clock. sitting at a table, 5 beers later. This is literally killing me. My kids are asleep on the chairs and the staff keep blaming OpenTable on over booking. This may be true, but please don't take reservations if they matter not at all. Aoki San would be so disgraced. This is the worst restaurant experience I think I have ever endured. DO NOT EAT AT THIS LOCATION EVER!!

Had a reservation for 845 birthday dinner and was told they said they are backed up over an hour on reservations. From what I have been reading this is very common.
Be the first to ReplyMonday evening we made a resveration for a party of 8.
Everything was booked. We arrived at the location we called, once in there. The hostess mentioned: "We are backed up as it is, you're better off going to the other location." As a customer I failed in asking her, her name. (Short female with long black hair. I asked all I got was "she might be new.") I was totally upset. Once again, I called the same location and spoke with Melissa. I did apologize before hand, because I didn't want her to think/assume I was being rude or disrespectful (which I didn't). I explained how upset I was. How is it possible for an employee to blur those unprofessional words? If the employee was new, she should've been professional and said: "Give me a moment and let me verify. At the moment the wait is ____. Let me see if someone can pull up your reservation." Not just dismiss a customer. I am sorry, if a manger sees this or corporate please retrain your employees who do not have interpersonal skills as well as professional customer services skills. Just by that, I can imagine how the night would've been. Just by that I give them a 0.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely amazing experience.
Chris was our chef and he was so friendly, funny and awesome. Super friendly and amazing food. Everything was cooked very well and he was super attentive.
Be the first to ReplyBeen to Benihana all across the country and their other
Been to Benihana all across the country and their other location in Orlando. This was just okay. The food was as expected but the chef was a bit lackluster. We had a great server but overall it was weak. We also got sat 15 minutes after our reservation and we showed up early.
Be the first to ReplyI've heard of Benihana ever since I was a little girl in
I've heard of Benihana ever since I was a little girl in California but never have been. Finally got to try the international drive location and so happy we came at the time we did. Highly recommend coming early if you can like we did at 5:30pm, because by the time we left, there was a long wait to be seated. We loved the service and especially our chef for the night was Joseph, who is really personable and easy to talk with. Our 18 month old daughter really loved the show that he put on. She stood back a little bit after seeing the, flaming onion volcano, but didn't cry. The food was delicious and I highly recommend doing the hibachi chicken or steak. The ambience was clean and again seats fill up quick. We would be glad to come back again.
Be the first to ReplyIt's a hibachi restaurant, so if you're looking for quiet
It's a hibachi restaurant, so if you're looking for quiet and calm, this is not for you. The hibachi food was decent, but it certainly was not the best we've had. It wasn't very flavorful--I added ginger dipping sauce to everything. But, it was decent--no complaints. Our chef was pretty quiet for a hibachi chef, so if you're looking for an entertaining chef, this also may not be your best choice. The complaints start here: We made a 7pm reservation. We arrived a few minutes before 7, but were not seated until a little after 8. The chef did not even start cooking until 8:50 pm. The restaurant has a dress code that they post clearly on their site and on a sign next to the hostess stand. When I read the dress code, I made sure we all had on proper shoes and clothes. (Nothing ripped, nothing too revealing, and no flip flops.) I made sure my son changed his shoes and I had to wear sneakers instead of my pretty flip flops. In the past, we've been asked to leave restaurants because of a flip flop rule, so I didn't want to take the chance. Needless to say, management obviously does not enforce the dress code, which is not a big deal but since we were forced to sit for so long, I was hangry and really bothered by this as many people had on ripped clothes, one was wrapped in a ratty blanket and others were just not appropriately dressed. When we were finally brought to our table, I sat the two kids to my left because I'm deaf in my right ear. A couple was seated last. The hostess then asked us to switch the kids with the couple so they "would feel more comfortable." I still do not understand why we had to move--everyone knows you will sit next to strangers at hibachi and they were sitting next to each other. It made no sense and it resulted in me not being able to hear the people in my party. My biggest complaint: one of the kids in our party has an egg allergy. They told us they would cook her meal first. They did not. They served us soup and salad (not part of her meal) and then cooked and served the fried rice which had eggs in it. Now more than two hours passed our reservation time, she has not had anything to eat! I asked the manager if they could just cook something in the kitchen for her, but the chef insisted he cook for her there. He had to go wash his utensils because of the eggs, and then finally (as most were finishing up their rice) she got her first bite of food. Can't recommend--too disorganized and way too long of a wait even with a reservation.
Be the first to ReplyAll the rave about this place brought me here and I was not
All the rave about this place brought me here and I was not impressed. After checking in for our reservations it took an hour to get a table. While sitting at the bar Monica made us some drinks which were phenomenal: top shelf Long Island and haiku colada.
Be the first to ReplyWe invite our business's partners to this restaurant.
We made reservations at 7:00 PM, they had us and our guests wait over an hour after the reservation time. This restaurant is so poorly managed! Reservations means nothing! They did nothing during the wait even though is their fault! I will never recommend people to go to someone who dont value people's time at all
Be the first to ReplyDo not believe that you can make a reservation here-
Do not believe that you can make a reservation here- arrived for our reservation to be told we would have to wait 40 additional minutes. They straight up admitted admitted they overbook.
Be the first to ReplyI haven't been to Benihana in over 10 years and my most
I haven't been to Benihana in over 10 years and my most recent experience reminded me why I stick with Kobe's. Expect to wait even if you have a reservation. The check in process is very chaotic and unorganized. The tables are incredibly small and you barely have any room between you and the person you're seated next too. This makes for a very uncomfortable dinner as you have no room to move or enjoy your dinner. The food is good but the portion sizes are SMALL! The meal doesn't come with noodles or fried rice like Kobe's. You have to pay extra for fried rice which is insane. I didn't even have enough for left overs which is unheard of when getting hibachi. The drinks are over priced as well. I ordered a martini from the bar that was okay. Overall, stick to Kobe's if you want good service and quality food.
Be the first to ReplyPlace was a zoo, reservations were far behind, people
Place was a zoo, reservations were far behind, people parking everywhere and irritatef at the staff. Up charge for fried rice, no noodles, stick with Kobe or A-Aki japanese steakhouse. They both are much better in food amount, quality and parking. Kudos to chef Justin, he was great everything else, not so much.
Be the first to ReplyMy reservation was at 1:30 pm.
We arrive on time they seat us immediately everything was good fine until we see the time and was 2:30 pm and no chef was show up in the table by this time. First drinks take forever to arrive second the entrees like the onion soup was cold and the salad soggy. By 2:40 pm still waiting on the chef and when I ask it's day take time. Well let me tell the manager this is no my first rodeo at Benihana and I never had this bad experience waiting a chef for more than one hour. I live in SD where we are regular customers and even they are always pack and busy never never we been waiting more than a hour to someone to cook. Totally dissatisfied with this Benihana I'll never come back here and if you want to come make sure you have enough time to wait for your food and someone to cooked.
Be the first to ReplyWhat an awful experience tonight.
It's been six years since we've visited Orlando and I wanted to recreate the experience we first had at Benihana for my kids. $428 later for our 6 top, I'm regretting stepping back to their ridiculous location. I made a reservation a month ago for 6 at 7:30 to arrive early and wait 40 minutes for our table. It's almost as if reservations are "call ahead" seating.I asked for the full menu since it should be provided upon request. I was told that everything available is on the weekend menu only. That should've been red flag number one. Here's where I really have an issue. It's been 6 years since we've been here as I mentioned. When we placed our orders we were given the option of either steamed rice, fried rice or noodles. There's zero mention of a $6.40 up charge for fried rice. Which is also not prorated for kids meals, so I get the bill and I'm shocked by this additional $38.40 for fried rice. Ok sure I should've known, I've been here before. Here's where I lost it. The waiter, who mind you has had to barely do anything and was constantly reminded to get items, told me it was my fault I couldn't hear when he said there's an up charge. I then went to a manager, who probably gets this a couple of times a night, he was even worse. "What are we to do for you not hearing?" As a father of a deaf child, that really irked me and is completely unprofessional. The waiter never said it, the manager doesn't care, I'm just a few more dollars in the pockets. Couple other highlights: be cautious of the mobile credit card processing. The gratuity is automatically set at 18% with options for 20% & 22%, the custom setting is hidden. The second table from the left of the main doors is extremely dirty and broken, allowing you to see all the built up grease over the years. This place is a gold mine and honestly not worth spending a dime at. I was really looking forward to treating my family to a fun dinner to kick off our vacation, but this has left a sour taste in my mouth. Next time we'll go to Popeye's across the street, it definitely looked cleaner.

Aaliyah was our server and she was exceptional! I have food allergies and she was very thorough in asking everyone if they had any allergies. She made sure we always had a drink and water at all times and made sure our chef had our orders correct! Love her and she and Ozzie the chef made our time for dinner incredible

Booked a reservation and was told they were 30 minutes behind. Still not seated for over an hour. Don't overbook and you wouldn't have people waiting so long. Worst customer service.
