Completely bland shrimp and grits , watery and no flavor .
The chili was blah says served with cheddar cheese I got no cheese ... the highlight of the meal was the corn muffin , I asked for butter , I got no butter . I feel like I was ripped off 35.00 dollars ... McDonald's would have been better .
Be the first to ReplyGreat place to have a drink after concert.
Christian at the bar was fantastic and very helpful. He has good knowledge of the bourbon. One of the best place to hangout in Lexington.

We could not have enjoyed my experience more at the Bluefire Bar & Grill. After a long day of travel and a hangover going on 9 hours, I found myself sitting at the bar fiending for a beer. A little hair of the dog as they say. I was initially greeted by Brandon, who struck me as the embodiment of the Buddhist way. Just an absolutely friendly giant. He gave myself and my coworker a complete rundown of all the local craft beers along with some of his favorites. After some discussion of wanting to "ice" our coworker who was running late, Brandon recognized that they did not have Smirnoff Ice. In fact, he was surprised they still even manufactured it. However, being the creative man he is, Brandon took a cold lime white claw out of the refrigerator and taped a blank sheet of paper to the outside of the can with the writing "Smirnoff Ice" on it and agreed to surprise our extremely late coworker with it when he arrived. Approximately, two minutes later our coworker appeared and Brandon laid the "ice" down in front of him with the quickness. Steve got iced so hard. It was hilarious and we all had a good laugh over it, especially Brandon. After about 2 hours of some heavy gambling on women's college volleyball, we found ourselves conversing with another charismatic bartender, Mo. Picture Bagger Vance, but better. *spoiler alert* Much like Bagger Vance, Mo also turned out to be an angel in the end. After giving us some horse racing tips for our upcoming trip to Keeneland in April, we parted ways with Mo and proceeded to head downtown to partake in what I believe is called "binge drinking". A few hours later we arrived back to the historic Hyatt Regency Hotel absolutely shitfaced and found ourselves greeted by Mo, much to our surprise. Mo, being the gentleman he is, recommended a quaint little pool bar beneath the hotel where we could continue to enjoy our night while enjoying games of billiards and shuffleboard with friends and the great people of Lexington. A couple hours later, we even encountered Mo enjoying a little post-work Friday beer. After a little banter at the bar, we parted ways with our friend Mo to crash the Alpha Phi formal going on down the hall, which ended up being a huge success if you know what I mean.We will never forget the amazing staff at the BlueFire Bar & Grill for this incredible Kentucky experience. One of a kind place!

The board of sanitation needs to verify that there are not cockroaches and rats infiltrating the entirety of the restaurant....in all honesty besides waiting over an hour and 15 min to get a table then to wait 30 minutes to not even get our drinks, we were forced to get up and leave this establishment full of rude and grossly inept employees. This location would be ideal for people interested in eating a meal before a UK basketball game; however, this establishment doesn't care to actually give people their food. They don't value people's time nor money on top of all of the heap of hot garbage they call employees. They also told us they "refuse to have more than one table of six" on a UK basketball game night.
Be the first to ReplyIf your time is important to you, or if you appreciate good
If your time is important to you, or if you appreciate good customer service, this restaurant is NOT the place for you. Customers with alcohol orders take priority. If you're ordering food, expect a 30-45 minute wait. The burger was good but didn't come out the way I ordered it. My to-go order never came out. I recommend GrubHub or Door Dash. If you wanna save on the delivery fee, there's plenty of other restaurants within walking distance. That's about as polite as I can keep it!
Be the first to ReplyThe service is awful.
They have a captive audience, so they just don't care. You sit forever waiting. My wife had to wave someone down to take our drink order and I paid cash because I was tired of waiting for them to take our card.
Be the first to ReplyTried to eat here twice during our stay in Lexington.
The first time we just had to leave, since the one waitress (during a football game weekend, mind you) didn't seem to be properly trained and kept us waiting. The next night we had to flag down someone to come wait on us, and he apparently was a bartender who had to be pressed into service as a waiter. After a long wait for our food, the fries I ordered weren't even warm. And the short rib tacos came 45 minutes later. I only ate one (of the three) because they were so bad. Obviously, this place needs to ramp up its service (i.e. hire more wait staff for big-game weekends), as well as the quality of its food. The good news is the hotel is downtown, near several other restaurants. I would recommend going to any of those instead.

I gave this place three chances, its safe to say I learned my lesson. I only stay at the hotel this restaurant is located in during Comic Cons. The food here is always bland and the service is always bad. I ordered a cheeseburger and the waiter returned with a grilled cheese. I was charged for the cheeseburger anyway. I would not recommend this place to anyone, the prices are way too high for the subpar food they serve.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely terrible service.
Was sat for 10 minutes and not a single employee acknowledged me, just kept walking by over and over. I will not return nor would I recommend

Meh. We went here for breakfast before leaving for the rest of our trip. Look, it's just plain convenient as you can grab something before you go. But that's where it ends. The food was 'Hampton Inn' standard with a higher price tag. Our waitress as friendly but very inattentive. It took two acts of congress to get a coffee refill. My pal, MrK and I both had the buffet. At $16.95, it was pricey and, frankly kind of corporate in it bland normalcy. Not bad just not awesome or even above average. I had a fruit platter, bacon (must have bacon) and oatmeal. MrK had an omelette. The decor, chairs and tables were tired to say the least.Bottom line: it beats starving....mostly
Be the first to ReplyThe food was ok but I my burger didn't have much flavor.
Also the drink are really pricey. We had a issue about our order and asked for a manager. The manager did nothing because he said the credit card had already gone through. We told them that we won't be back. There is always something you can do to satisfy the customer. This place needs better management and prices are really high. Awful management and very unprofessional!!!

When we got here, we were pretty excited that there was what appeared to be a fairly nice restaurant right downstairs in our hotel. So, we decided to stop there for a quick appetizer and maybe a cocktail before going exploring in Lexington. We were seated right away as it was fairly early, and the crowd hadn't arrived for the before the concert festivities. The hotel is connected to the Rupp Arena which was hosting a big country concert Thursday night. Our server brought some water when she promptly greeted us, however, I noticed she didn't leave straws. . .this isn't California so I would've expected them. We ordered cocktails, Cuba Libre for me and Vodka Tonic for her, both with extra lime. Our drinks arrived, no mixing straws for our lime, which I received extra but she did not. We ordered appetizers, Nacho Tots, and Buffalo Chicken Sprimg Rolls. They were both good to me, though she wasn't impressed with the Buffalo Chicken things. Both of our cocktails were virtually virgins or deliberately watered down so as to make the Coke flat, and no tang to her Vodka Tonic. We saw our waitress once after that and we asked for some extra sour cream which she brought pronto, then we never saw her again. Someone else came by and took our empty plates, asked us if we needed anything else and we said just the check, to which she replied, "Did you ask anyone for it?" What is that? I've never heard that before. We got our check and pounded bricks never to return. It's a good thing none of what we had was very costly at all but if you're going to serve cocktails, serve cocktails and not some profit seeking facsimile thereof. And train the waitstaff, she was either new or just didn't care.
