A nightmare
This place is terrible. I had the most non relaxing trip ever. First tried to give us a room that you have to walk up 3 flights of stairs. The door was an inch off the ground you could see light on all 4 sides of the door in the middle of winter. Had to pay extra for an indoor room. The bedroom had the furnace in it right next to the bed so was kicking on all night. The TV didn't work the first night so they brought us a new one. There was no hot water all day long. The maintenance guy came looked at it says he would be right back and never came back. The people running the work out room and pool where beyond ignorant. They want kids to just stand like statues in the pool. My 16 year old got kicked out of the hot tub because he didn't look old enough. Also got degraded by older guest that were in the hot tub. Sorry didn't realize I would have to bring birth certificates. The whole weekend was a nightmare. Didn't ask how my stat was when I checked out probably because they knew not to ask.

Staff is rude and obnoxious never been treated like a piece of trash Cocky and mean counter people. Been here a few times before this place is the worst place I have stayed in a long time never coming back here again

Loved the location of the hotel, that close to the boardwalk is great. DJ IS WAY TOO LOUD. You can't even hear yourself think at the pool from 3-7. Its club level loud. My 13 year old liked it, but there were littles there and some music was inappropriate for them. (even my 13 year old) There was MOLD all over my bathroom ceiling. The room was otherwise clean and modern. AC worked great.

Upon entering the hotel, there was sand still on the floor. The shower water takes forever to go down. You have to shower with dirty water at your feet and up to your ankles if you have more than one person showering. The air vent in bathroom is covered with dust. It looks like it doesn’t get cleaned. I paid an extra $200 to have the kitchenette and the burners are so small on stove top that the whole pan doesn’t heat up and the food doesn’t cook properly. The Smoking area is located right near the pool, so your inhaling the smoke. Who wants second hand smoke for themselves or kids.

We had the worst experience here!!! Besides being so loud 24/7 we lost power for a whole day during our stay and the manager Michael told us to get another place(had two toddlers with us) and he would take care of us if we brought back the receipt which we did, and for the next 3 days he gave us the run around about talking to the owners blah blah, and in the end said they couldnt do anything for us even though we paid 300$ for a night stay in another place….then we return to bolero and powers back, we stay the next night, power goes off another 4 hours thru the night, and it was thru the night and a bunch of the guests children ran up and down the corridors from 11pm to 3am while it was off and noone at the hotel made any suggestion for them to bring there children in and have quiet time in the middle of the night!!! Overall horrible run motel, manager is awful with running this place and will Never go back there again! Ruined our family trip With the grandkids!!! 7/2023

Excellent hotel. We went in April so it was still off season so we didn’t get to use the outdoor pool. The indoor pool and gym were amazing. The views from the pool were incredible. We had an efficiency room in the motel section and everything was like new, very clean, and spacious for a family of four. It was a quick walk to the best part of the boardwalk. We will definitely stay here again

Great location, extremely helpful and attentive staff, spacious room and a fun place to stay. Our room was overlooking the outdoor pool (yes, this hotel also has an indoor pool & spa/fitness center). Nice free entertainment with a poolside bar during the day, and quiet time after 11pm strictly enforced. Just a few steps from the Boardwalk between the two piers. Couldn't ask for a better stay/experience. Hospitality done right!

I really don’t know how to begin…. Let me start by saying we booked a “remodeled” luxury king suite on the 6th floor (2nd week of August). My sister and her son did the same. Our rooms looked nothing like the pictures advertised on their website. My sister’s room at least had a solid ceiling with no leaks. BUT She did not have a phone in her room to contact the front desk when a domestic dispute broke out across the hall at midnight!! She had to call with her cell phone!! Our room had 3 stained ceiling tiles, 2 completely wet ceiling tiles from the ac, and rust running down the corner of the outside bathroom wall!!! The bathroom door would NOT completely shut, the door was falling off the cabinet, the whirlpool tub looked like it was from 1980, the parking lot is down the middle of the next block across the street….I’m exhausted just writing about it. I could go on, but I won’t! I should have known better from the previous reviews, but clearly I’m a glutton for punishment. If you are used to staying at Hiltons and Marriotts - DO NOT STAY HERE! You won’t handle it well without multiple daily stiff drinks!! One positive….we enjoyed the Elvis show Monday night, and the karaoke Tuesday night. The same guy does both and he’s truly a great entertainer! Enjoy the shows, have multiple drinks, then and only then, will you possibly get some sleep!

Our family rented 4 rooms here for a week. Our room had no AC and a horrible leak! When we checked in we assumed it was just hot because the room was empty. We also noticed the dishes were soaked but assumed they were newly washed. We’ll the AC never went on and we figured out the dishes were wet cause the dirty AC water was leaking all over them. After complaining to the front desk dozens of times they suggested we just find somewhere else to stay! I had two children with me and their solution was to just pack everyone up and relocate. The manager did not even come up to the room to see the problem. Beyond the bad situation the staff were so rude. The manager had a smug look the whole time and didn’t offer to help us move or even apologize. I asked if they could just give us a window unit and they said they didn’t have any and the electric was set up for that! The pool was super crowded with everyone from all over wildwood, count sit at the bar cause it’s open to everyone not just hotel guests, tons of people smoking pot all over and everyone who worked there was miserable. Never stay at here!

It started the day we got there NO outside food or drink allowed on pool area unless bought at their restaurant or tiki bar. So we got kicked out of pool area by security. Pool for Hotel guest only but let everyone from street and other hotels in so you can make money but my family can’t even get in pool because to crowded. Music is way to loud and suppose to stop at 11 but went till 2 or 3 and our room was right across from pool. No sleep..Guy running desk at indoor pool is a creep hitting on my 18 year old and took her phone and was showing everyone her I’d and saying how cute she is. HOTEL MANAGER was suppose to take care of it never did. Could go on but to much to say. I will never stay there again.

We stayed at the Bolero this year and were very pleased with our stay. We absolutely enjoyed the onsite Tiki Bar and the DJ was exceptional. This resort has lots of entertainment for guests and good food. My husband and I are looking forward to going back again next year for our annual Wildwood vacation.

We had a leak from above in the pool/sauna area that the maintenance man couldn't fix and the manager said we would talk about compensation (due to the inconvenience of having to place a trash can under the leak in the end of the hallway) on check out. I put a review on Google about the comment from the woman at the front desk to just "put a trash can under it" and the manager told my husband on check out that we would get no compensation because of this review and weren’t welcome back. Really, great way to deal with your customers, so immature and unprofessional! He lied and said that the leak was in the corner of the room and it wasn't leaking before we checked in! Guess we caused this old 3’ patched up leak to start when we entered the room. Just be sure if you have an issue that you don't wait for management to address it – go to the front desk right away. I have travelled everywhere from Morocco to Iceland and have never had such poor customer service, but then I have never stayed at such a substandard hotel either. That's what we get for thinking their "getaway" weekend was a good deal. It’s only a good deal for the motel/hotel. Don't think you're getting all the breakfasts, dinners and open bar experience because it’s too crowded to get service but then the restaurant/bar staff is overworked and did their best. Couldn't imagine what it’s like working for this motel/hotel.

Although we visited in the off-season, the Bolero Resort is an awesome place to stay while in Wildwood. Not directly on the beach - about a block and half walk but it's amenities more than make up for it. As stated we visited in the off-season (Mid April) so the outdoor pool and restaurant were not open at the time. Restaurant opens Thursday thru Sunday during off season. The indoor pool is a wonderful little oasis and perfect if you have children. Hotel is within walking distance of almost anything you want to do in Wildwood. Many rooms newly renovated and offer maximum occupancy for a family of five without breaking the bank. Worth checking it out. *Two parts to hotel - motel part and 7 floor hotel part. Stay in motel part if you can. However I would imagine during summer months have a ground floor room facing pool which is open until 10PM might be quite annoying. Opt for second floor if you can handle stairs - motel piece of hotel does NOT have elevator.

The room and facility is very well kept. Very clean and up to date. The Bolero is a really nice place to stay and is located in a good location. Staff is friendly and everything is within walking distance.

0. I would give this less then 0.. We are here on a family vacation.. The music from the bar below us is so insultingly LOUD!! NEVER STAY HERE!!! Unless your hard up!! This is ghetto fabulous to the max!!! My daughters feet are so filthy it disturbs me to stay.. All the hotel offered was another floor up.. I was told this was informed on the website.. I asked where it was stated that the music and the base beated up to your room??? I was told the website said there was nightly entertainment.. THAT IS BULL****!!! I Paid almost 1k to listen to this bull ******!!! SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE !!! GO TO OCEAN CITY MD!!! So much more classier for your money… this place clearly doesn’t care if you go somewhere else… or if they have a bad review on social media.. So let’s show them what it’s like to not care about customer service!!!

Our room REEKED of weed. There were kids running around with filthy mouths dropping the F-bomb. People screaming at each other, well into the night! Couldn’t sleep because it was so loud BUT, my husband kept getting chased for smoking a cigarette outside on the patio chair. Odd considering all you could smell was pot but, I guess that’s ok.
The one burner on the stove didn’t work. There were no linens for the pull out couch and the window didn’t lock on our first floor room!
The pool and hot tub were so overcrowded it was disgusting. A “clean” towel that was folded in our room had huge blood stains on it.
The ONLY positive was that it was super close to the boardwalk.
All in all, we would never stay here again!!
Best Band Ever!!
We came with 3 other couples to see The Locals Band! Not only was our room spotless, The staff was very friendly. We went downstairs for dinner, and the food was delicious and waitstaff was awesome. Disappointed that we couldn't dance due to covid, but The Locals Band was the BEST band we have ever heard in this area! Can't wait to come back and see them again!

I can’t believe how bad our room actually was. I know places at the shore can be sketchy, but this was next level. We were placed on the motel side and the room was not only in disrepair but was VERY dirty. You could see old gunk on all the light switches and other high contact areas. I spent the first 30 minutes of our arrival cleaning and sanitizing our room. Honestly I do not think it was cleaned after last season except for new bedsheets. We paid extra to stay at this resort so we could enjoy the indoor pool, but with the crowds at the pool and the sanitation of our room, we didn’t feel comfortable enough to use the pool. Now to each their own, but the mass amount of people straight up smoking marijuana did not make this family friendly. We couldn’t even sit in our room with our kids without it seeping in. Because of all this we decided to go to a different resort and not extend our stay there. As I was packing our bag I realized water was leaking from the ceiling and pooling on the bed and onto my suitcase. My kid had slept in a bed with water dripping from the ceiling all night. At checkout I showed the girl photos and videos of the water, she said she would flag our reservation and someone *might* reach out. No one has reached out, surprise. So no apology, and we have paid full price for this experience. I think it is also important to note we were on the 3rd floor, the beds go against the windows, these windows slide open all the way, with no screen or device to prevent anyone from falling out. Its a lawsuit waiting to happen and someone’s child will get hurt. I did let the girl at the desk know, I let her know it was not a complaint but something I noticed and the hotel might want to look at. They already know, I guess people bring it up all the time and until the fire inspector says they have to do something they won’t. My family won’t return and will not recommend this facility to anyone.

Pros: our room was redone (vinyl plank flooring throughout and new furniture.
Cons: morning desk person wasn't polite when we checked in early, then proceeded to talk about us while we stood there. Found a termite in our room, someone else opened our room door while we were in the room, kids weren't allowed in hot tub, NO MAID SERVICE the whole weekend, the noise was INSANE, no remotes in the rooms, had to go to desk to get new towels and no one working there wore masks.

This resort was awful! Especially the motel part, the rooms are dirty, noisy, they allow people to hang clothes on the railings and that's all you saw! It's a low class motel, the hotel part which we insisted on was a little better, much quieter. None of the staff wore a mask and they allowed the bar to be crowder, again the bartender did not wear a mask, ate at the hotel restaurant and the waitresses or bus boy had no mask. There was also no housekeeping, you had to straighten up your own room. Worst place I have ever stayed at, and we go to a lot of places! Awful!

So I went here with my family. We got two rooms because there were 8 of us. Checked in and opened our doors to our room. The smell that hit us all was unbearable!! Nothing but a trash hole!!The floors weren’t swept. There was glass all over the floor. The humidity was that bad in the room that the floor was sweating and their was mold everywhere. Visible mold on the walls and all over the curtains. We pulled back the comforters in the beds and nothing but mold! I went right to the front desk and told them about it and that we would like a refund and I would like to speak to the manager. I kid you not, the women at the front desk said the rooms that we got were half cleaned!!! Come on, how in the world is a room half cleaned!! It’s either cleaned or it’s not!! Don’t put people in a room unless it’s cleaned!!! She said we could leave, but we weren’t going to be refunded for our rooms. She said she could move us to two other rooms. I said OK and she also said she would send Michael (the manager) down to us.
She moved us to the rooms directly beside us. Same thing!! Nothing but filthy. Tampon paper on the floor, nothing but mold everywhere!! And the microwave and fridge was awful. The fridge was rusted and the microwave was never cleaned out. The plate from the microwave was so filthy that it started to grow mold!!! I took the plate to the microwave to the desk and asked to see Michael right now!! I was told he wasn’t there when just a couple minutes ago they said he would be down to talk to us!! I demanded a refund and they said no!!!
My family and I went to a local store and bought cleaning supplies and sheets to use on our bed. Absolutely ridiculous when we paid almost 300.00 a night per each room.
We tried to sleep that night and couldn’t. People were everywhere til 4 in the morning. Nothing but the smell of marijuana. It was a complete disaster!! No one got any sleep!! And out little kids smelled marijuana all night!!
Went to the front desk....demanded a refund. They again told me no!! I told them I needed to talk to the manager. She called him this time and told me he was there and that he would be down in 15 minutes. I said OK. Guess what?!.....15,30, and then 45 minutes went by. I called the front desk. I ask where is he?She tells me, I couldn’t get a hold of him. I said what do you mean?You called him when I was at the front desk and said he would be down in 15 minutes. I grabbed our keys and we all decided enough was enough and we definitely weren’t going to stay there another night. I went back to the front desk and told them
I was leaving and demanded a refund!! Again, they refused and I said listen I need to talk to the manager right now!! At this point I am fuming!! I was told he wasn’t even on the premises. When remember earlier she told me he would be down in 15 minutes.
So if you are planning to take trip with your family at the Bolero resort. I’m warning you now. Please don’t! It’s definitely not the resort they show in the pictures. It’s a scam. I’ve been calling Bolero to still try to get a hold of the manager and they took my information. I still haven’t heard anything and just keep being treated rudely every time I call.
Absolutely disgusting
Do not recommend staying at this hotel. Go elsewhere. The room smelt like mold and was highly unsanitary, there were bugs in the room, and people were smoking weed directly under us. The pool was packed with no social distancing, as staff didn't have masks on either. Loud disruptive music was playing at the pool. Left there with a pounding headache. Turn around before you even enter the room. I should have believed the previous reviews. If i could give 0 star i would.

When we booked our room for 5 people we didn’t realize there was a “hotel” part and a “motel” part of the building. Our room was in the motel part which had no elevator. We had to lug our cooler, food and belongings up 3 flights of stairs...a lot of work for 2 adults and 3 kids! Our first night was fine. The room was as expected and no issues. New neighbors checked in on our second day and we came home from dinner to our room reeking of marijuana. We aired out the room and put the kids to bed and hoped for the best...not so much. We were woken at 12:30 by incredibly loud music coming from next door. Security came by and the music turned down but the pot smoking started and our room again reeked until about 3:00 am when they finally went to bed. We went to the front desk first thing and complained and the man at the desk said he would make a note but it wouldn’t happen again.
We spent that day at the beach and returned around 4:00 to our room reeking of pot again. It was so bad we had to keep our door open and the kids refused to go inside. We immediately went to the front desk. They were apologetic and offered to change our room to the hotel part of the building. We agreed and spent the rest of the stay in the hotel side. The rooms in the hotel were much nicer and cleaner and we had absolutely no issues with neighbors.
Please be aware of the difference in room options, especially for families with small children who don’t want their room reeking of weed! I would have no problems returning to this place but would only stay in the hotel part of the building.
