Bon Wei Milano Reviews from The Last Year
Refined, but a little expensive
Classy venue, refined furnishings and pleasant atmosphere. Attentive and polite service. We appreciated the extensive menu because it includes a series of special traditional dishes from various regions of China. Among these we really appreciated the three kingdoms duck of the great strategist Cao Cao (just a little too spicy) and the fried squid morsels. The Vietnamese rolls and soy noodles with meat and vegetables are also very good. All the various ravioli tasted were normal. The mushroom salad is particular. The desserts are original and well made: pumpkin pudding with cream and coconut rice balls. The cuisine overall is very good. The cost of the dishes is quite high, proportionate to the quality, but this should also correspond to a greater quantity of food in order to be able to taste and share multiple courses. The €5 cover charge seemed a bit excessive to us.
Disappointing
Very nice place that creates a pleasant atmosphere, this is certainly the plus. For the rest, portions too small and unjustified prices. Dishes that leave no particular memories. By ordering two dishes each and drinking Chinese beer, we spent €53 each, which was not justified.
Nice food in a good environment and good service
A starter and mains. The Dim Sum mix was quite average and the duck main was very nice albeit not what I ordered but was happy to eat it. Very nice interior and service was good. Price / value was possibly on the too high side. But in saying that will go back to try other items on the menu that I haven’t tried before!
Not convincing
Difficult review. The restaurant is beautiful, elegant and fashionable but I find the cuisine worse and the bill disproportionate. Several dishes without infamy and without praise. Let's forget about desserts. I don't exaggerate with the criticisms because other diners liked it. Very noisy on Saturday.
Great food but not the service
As for the food, nothing to say, unfortunately the service was not up to par... I don't understand why bother with the (high) cover charge without offering any service or handing out some glasses with the wine list which coincidentally saw all the dishes finished bottles under 40 euros. Sold out bottles should be indicated to avoid long waits and unpleasant interactions. I don't have to explain to the dining room staff what budget I decide to allocate to a bottle. I won't return and it's a shame because the food is worth it but the customer should be treated differently..
Optimal
Unfortunately it is now known and full even on Sundays. Various dishes with excellent flavour. Stunning ravioli. Refined environment.
Terrible service, not from Michelin mention!!!
We have been to this Chinese restaurant listed in the Michelin guide since 2012. Excellent food, especially the Peking duck, sautéed prawns and coconut rice balls. Terrible service: too fast, waiters who try to cheat you in any way by offering dishes off the menu without telling you the price or who pour the wine still in the glasses to try to finish it first and make you buy more. In short, not a Michelin service. The cost of the dishes is proportionate to the quality but the cover charge at 5 euros (without anything being brought to you, not even an initial taste), the water at 4 euros and the off-menu dishes without a price overall make the experience overpriced and disappointing. Given the wide choice of Chinese restaurants in Milan, even luxury ones, I wouldn't go back.
Excellent discovery
I had dinner at this restaurant recommended by a friend. Nice location and good service. I ate some of their ravioli, all delicious. Then I had their homemade pasta with seafood, excellent. Finished with phenomenal prawns in spicy sauce. Decent wine list. Medium-high prices, logically here it is not Chinese that one thinks, but a real restaurant where you eat very well! Recommended for me!

I have some reservations coming up tomorrow that have gotten lots of views but haven’t sold yet. I haven’t made a sale yet since I just joined this week. I keep lowering the price, but am worried they won’t sell. How long did it take you to sell your first reservations? And did you have success being reimbursed by AT for no-show or cancellation fees? Just looking for a little reassurance. Thanks!

You should probably cancel prior to the cancellation date per the cancellation policy. I would imagine you would only get reimbursed for a sold listing if you happen to be charged?

My first sale took about a week. But as the other commenter said stay ontop of your cancellation windows. There’s no reimbursement for those so make sure you cancel in time then just try again.
