Boulevardier has been a favorite of mine, my family, and some friends for a few years now. You were welcomed into an establishment that was warm and cozy. The service was always incredible, staff that made you feel like family. The food has always been packed with flavor and has had the best ingredients. It's the place that made me fall in love with oysters, the place that made one of the best burgers in Dallas, the place that had some of the best drinks I've ever had! Boulevardier, you will be missed. Dallas will forever have a hole left in its heart where you once were.

Be the first to ReplyEver walk in a place for the first time and just know
Ever walk in a place for the first time and just know you're gonna have a great time and some great food. Yeah, you've heard of the place and it's stood the test of time but then you walk into this warm welcoming space where you're immediately greeted and you just know it's gonna be good and you should have been coming to this place for years. Maybe it's the wine rack on the wall to the left, open and unpretentious, or the handsome bar area to the right. It just feels right. Not a huge seating area, but not cramped either, the space exudes a relaxed vibe. A well crafted menu of french bistro inspired dishes that all sounded so good made choosing easy. We wanted it all. The thoroughly accommodating wait staff, and kitchen, handled curve ball after curve ball from a table of gents who only knew they wanted to feast, though not exactly on what and in what order. We split everything, a red-neck tasting menu, if you will, and the staff kept offering fresh plates until we began feeling bad about dirtying so many and declined the stellar accommodation. Cocktails were a delight. Think you've had every iteration of martini? The bar has tried to "Reinvent The Wheel" and succeeded. The oysters were exceptional. Salads? Perfect. Ala carte portion of pate from the charcuterie board was off the charts. Kitchen skipped a beat with the wood grilled oysters which came out at barely warm. It had to be mentioned though we waited until after we settled the check. We'd been such a difficult table to accommodate it could have been entirely our fault if the dish sat a while. Entrees showed a culinary finesse that defines a great chef. A crispy textured crust to the bone in pork shank enveloped a moist and tender piping hot, and delicious, interior accompanied by a complimentary side. A perfect plate. Duck confit? Same. Vegetable Risotto, Halibut were all equally well crafted and delicious. We feasted like Kings and were treated like Kings. Many thanks and Happy New Year!! to the great staff and fantastic kitchen at Boulevardier.

Don't be confused by the allure and quaintness of this restaurant. In its current state, you will only fully experience this aesthetic if you fall into a certain demographic. My friend and I experienced nothing of the sort (....and yes, we are aware that we are two black women....how appalling for us to expect decent service in any hospitality venue, right??). Okay here goes.... My recent dining experience at this restaurant left much to be desired. Upon entering, the lack of a proper host to seat us was evident, so not wanting to cause a stir and seeing many open seats, we made our way to the bar. However, the situation became perplexing when a gentleman eating at the bar, who turned out to be the host, inquired if he could "help us." We were confused and asked whether the bar was open seating, which he quickly said yes. This was the first red flag. Ordering a medium rare plus steak, I was disappointed to receive a nearly medium-well steak. The waiter's explanation that the chef couldn't prepare medium rare plus was disconcerting, especially since this wasn't communicated earlier. Despite offering to replace the steak, there was no clear ETA, leaving me waiting while my friend finished her meal. Frustrated, I requested the steak to go but was never offered any consolation for this lack of customer satisfaction. Prior to leaving, I asked for the manager, who turned out to be the same person we encountered at the bar. His explanation about the limitations of a wood fire grill and disputing the existence of "technically" medium rare plus was both perplexing and unsatisfactory. The lack of acknowledgment regarding the poor customer experience further marred the overall impression. Given those reasons, coupled with the discomfort of being seated beside an inebriated group openly and loudly boasting about their discriminatory business practices, I regretfully cannot endorse this restaurant. Departing the establishment hungry, frustrated, and disheartened, was yet another reminder of the challenges faced as a minority in America. I only gave it an additional star because the food is good...after you get past all the bullshit.
Be the first to ReplyTruly fantastic.
Grilled oysters and steaks are fantastic. A must try for everyone. Great ambience in a fantastic neighborhood (unless your Marcel market, they're racist, discriminatory, and fat shame staff )

Service is always great, and the burger is the best in Bishop. The space is quaint and cute--kind of like an old English pub.

Boulevardier has become one of my favorites over the lash few years! Not only do they have an incredible burger, but pictures because I ate it too fast, but they have some of the most incredible oysters that are very fresh! I enjoy sitting outside on their nice patio during a warm spring or summer evening. The staff are always very kind and welcoming! I recommend everyone try this at least once! A local gem
Be the first to ReplyFrenchish southern / New Orleans style restaurant.
Nice ambiance, fine outdoor seating space, friendly servers. Brunch food pretty bland and forgettable, not exciting. Premium pricing on the food, I guess for location in Bishop Arts. There must be better options.
Be the first to ReplyWent for our Valentine's Day dinner.
The service and the food were fantastic. My wife had the pork shank, and I had the strip they were both delicious. The place is kinda small, so I would definitely make a reservation. Definitely worth going back again

It was a lovely way to end my tour with the Dallas crowd. The Valentine Day in Dallas was light but his cute smile gave me a smile.

Love this place! Wonderful ambience, excellent food and warm, courteous service. The steak frites were excellent and the Tuesday steak special makes it even more enjoyable. I love the French bistro feel, soft lighting and warm vibe. A great date night spot!

I mean the food here is always delicious full of flavor. The crawfish beignets are so damn delicious very flavorful once you bite into this your tastebuds are like wow! Then I had the biscuits and gravy this was really good the eggs were cooked just right the biscuits were good I do wish they were a bit more thick and flavorful but overall love the dish. The service was just amazing are waitress was great. She made sure we had everything. The place is small so make sure you make reservations on open table. The atmosphere is very welcoming. Love this place.
Be the first to ReplyBoulevardier was hit or miss.
It's tucked away on a side street so that was intriguing but the appeal didn't last long. The customer service was great and consistent from bartender to waitress, on up to the manager. The consistency waned, however, as the evening progressed. My drink, a Vieux Carrรฉ, by the taste of it was surely missing half the ingredients. My fellow Yelp'rs drink, an Old Fashioned - right on point. My main dish, the Braised Pork Shank Risotto, appeared to be bursting with flavor but it was actually lacking in that department. My friend's main dish, the Boulevardier Burger, dripping with savory goodness. Almost forgot to mention the Crawfish Beignets, which you can guess were just okay and nothing to Yelp about. Side note: The manager was kind enough to box up the pork shank risotto for me so I could take it home and "doctor it up" aka add flavor. All in all, a "meh" for me.

We visited again last night as we have friends that swear by it. The atmosphere was incredibly comfortable and the previous issue with "bathroom smell" is now resolved. The oysters were delicious and well-shucked, the cocktails were sophisticated and balanced, and the main dishes were a delight.

Super disappointing experience at a hugely overpriced restaurant. We dined last night and should have realized that when a small restaurant is only half full on a Saturday night, there is probably a reason. Although our server was was good, the food was not. Given the price point of the entrees we ordered, the portions - especially the duck and polenta dish - were very small. Maybe it was just an off night, or we ordered the wrong thing, but my daughter's steak and fries were over seasoned, my pollack fish dish had a lot of brown patches and the two people the ordered duck went home hungry. When it came time for dessert, which judging from our neighbor's table actually looked pretty good, we were all so put off by our entrees that we passed despite the fact that we were celebrating a birthday and an anniversary. Our bill for 5 entrees and two cocktails was $300 and I can't remember the last time I had such a bad experience out in a Dallas. Won't return.

It's a smart dark and well curated cocktail lounge with a solid mixologist menu of goodness. Very well done whiskey sours to be made and consumed here. It's impeccably fresh ingredients and wonderfully made by happy people.

My first time at Boulevardier for brunch, and I couldn't be more impressed! I've loved the food here on every visit and had been told that their brunch is delicious, but they had closed for brunch/lunch during Covid so hadn't had a chance to try!We got a Sunday brunch reservation and were seated right away on arrival. Everything from service to food was excellent. We were so pleased! What we got:- dozen oysters: okay, gotta say that the horseradish here is BOMB. Super fresh, kicks ya in the nose. Gotta admit I ate some by itself :P- wood-grilled prime steak & eggs (2 over-easy eggs, black pepper hollandaise, local greens, hand-cut fries): done to perfect medium-rare temperature, comes with a small portion of mixed greens, plenty of hollandaise and ranch to dress up as you please. not the best steak ever, but still very delicious. The fries were a little disappointing, as they were thinly cut but a little soggy - would have enjoyed crispy fries.- legs & eggs (crisp duck leg confit, 2 sunny eggs, stone-ground grits cakes, blackberry sauce): LOVED my duck! Crispy skin, tender and juicy meat. Also, duck + blackberry sauce is a VIBE!!! absolute heaven, would get again!

I came here because some girl I matched with on bumble said that it was her favorite restaurant so I decided to check it out. I was already sad because I just watched the family guy episode where Brian died and the bartender Alex was getting hammered with me to cheer me up. That guy is so cool. He ended up helping me with my taxes and even went as far as to give me a foot massage. I definitely recommend this place.
