Bull and Bear Orlando Reviews from The Last Year
Repeat customer
This is our 4th time visiting Bull and Bear and every single time we’ve had an amazing experience. We were staying at Signia and decided to make a reservation weeks in advance to make sure we didn’t miss out on dinner here. The service is always impeccable by every single team member. For appetizer we ended up ordering the fried chicken, the highlight of this dish besides the chicken being so tender is the mash, even our 2yr old loved it. Overall the chicken was good, is it worth $50 probably not. But it was great to try it, we always had the curiosity for it.For entrees we ordered two filet mignon and a mac and cheese for our daughter. The quality of the meat as always is superb, tender and soo flavorful. For dessert we ordered the tableside strawberry shortcake. It was very cool to see our server make the ice cream right in-front of our eyes.
Exquisite
This lived up to all our expectations and then some. The food was absolutely declious we shared the fried chicken to start as we had heard so much about it, definitely lived up to the hype. The mash that came with it was incredible and the best mash I've ever eaten (same with the fried chicken which was amazingly moist but not greasy). We had chateaubriand for the main which was cooked to perfection with the sauce flight the peppercorn was the best and the sides were fantastic we tried to frites and the mac and cheese (best mac and cheese ever). Service was good and not obtrusive.
A glorious night out
I had eaten here before and very elegant dining Located in the Waldorf Astoria at Disney. This evening, I had lobster bisque as an appetizer, and it actually had a lobster medallion in it. it was absolutely delicious. The main entry was Dover sole, which is very difficult to get, and possibly the best I’ve ever had. They filleted at our table. Afterwards, they brought the bones which had been roasted or something for eating. I had never seen this before. They also have an excellent wine menu.
We dined with them this past week as a group of 22.
From everything I had read, our expectations were high. We arrived for a 7p reservation and were told we would have 4 servers for the table. It took 30-40 minutes to even get our first drinks and bread. We ordered 7 bottles of very nice wine ranging from just under $600 a bottle on down. The servers did not uncork the bottles and have our guests taste test first. They also did not decanter the wines before serving. On numerous occasions, we had to serve ourselves our own wine which sat on a table beside our dining area. We had also ordered numerous bottles of a white wine which were never delivered. The lobster bisque and oysters Rockefeller were wonderful. Many of us had filets but those that had the sea bass said it had a very fishy flavor which is not normal for sea bass. The server was told but did not do anything about it. Being a large group, there was an automatic gratuity put onto the check which was unearned, especially since the wine was a part of the tip and not deserved. Going there as a small group may be much better than a large group but I would never return to the restaurant again. After writing to the restaurant, they apologized and said they'd speak to their staff. The comment back did nothing for our poor experience.
My wife and I have visited this restaurant for many years
My wife and I have visited this restaurant for many years tonight as always was excellent. We were seated by the window to gaze upon the beautiful resort. The team of servers were extremely efficient. They were very attentive of all of our wants and did not bat an eye when we did not order alcohol and treated us great through the whole process which some times could be a rarity when not drinking. My glass was never empty couldn't ask for better service. One of our servers also brought us a complimentary mock tail which we adored. The food as always was great we ordered a tomahawk for two creamed spinach and mac and cheese. The bread selection was very good. For desert we got there signature strawberry ice cream le fraise. The food was fabulous and the staff exceptional.
Best in Orlando.
Best restaurant in Orlando. Dining only. It is located inside of the Waldorf Astoria. Restaurant isn't big so make sure you reserve in advance. If you are in luck and they are offering beignets make sure to leave room for them. Services is amazng.
Nice meal
My 3rd visit in 6 months. Flew in from Pittsburgh to take my daughter for her birthday. Excellent food and service. What changed on this visit is ice tea is now 8.00 per glass. Honestly I never dined somewhere where refills were not included on ice tea: this was not the case in October and January. Difference between good and great experience is always so small and it’s funny what you end up remembering. It’s not the 8.00 as the bill was 600. It’s the principle and you can’t help but feeling that was a bit over the top.
Fantastic
Wow, everything was fantastic! What changed my life was “the lemon.” Save some room for that desert and ask for it early because they run out.
One of my favorite places to dine in Orlando.
High end steakhouse with delectable steak and one of the best fried chicken I have ever had. Service was stellar and the tomahawk with the garlic is incredible. While the steak is amazing, you can't come here and miss their fried chicken. The ambiance is ornate and elegant. Great for celebrations.
Presentation, taste, service and ambience were all amazing.
We started the meal with a thick and creamy lobster bisque. I love that you watch them pour the soup into the bowl for a delicious display--the flower was also edible! I got the famous friend chicken as the main course and everyone who ordered the filet wish they had mine! It was cooked with so much flavor and the mashed potatoes are the best I've ever had. I wasn't even hungry by the time dessert arrived, but the crème brûlée was to die for! Not to mention the bacon Mac and cheese, asparagus, and endless amounts of bread we also had, the presentation and flavor in each dish was immaculate. I will be coming back!
The moment we walked in to the end of getting in our car
The moment we walked in to the end of getting in our car and being surprised with pastries from the restaurant as a thank you for joining us, this experience was beyond amazing. Our server Tyler and his captain Jeff set it out of the park. They delighted us with an amuse bouche of Seabass ceviche. It was citrusy and delicious. Raul came over to discuss the different types of bread for the bread service and did a splendid job of explain the breads and butter. Then we did the table side Caesar salad where Aaron prepared it tabled side. It was an amazing presentation he told us about each ingredient and prepared the salad table side for us. Such a unique experience. Josh delivered our steaks I got the Filet mignon medium which was cooked to perfection. Josh then went over our sauce flight we ordered for the steaks, my favorite was the peppercorn sauce. It paired so well with the steak. We closed the evening with Yuzu Cheesecake it was an amazing Japanese lemon flavored cheesecake with matcha and strawberries. It was delicious and the dry ice presentation was spectacular. We really enjoyed everything and cannot wait to come back with friends and family. They really made our Valentine's Day spectacular. A huge shoutout to the chefs in the kitchen and everyone who made this night spectacular. The ambiance was a night to remember.
Closed early, stopped serving food at 9:09 at the bar
Closed early, stopped serving food at 9:09 at the bar because of low occupancy. They were supposed to be open till 10. I expect more from a high class steakhouse.
Low occupancy = close an hour early with no notice
We were looking g for a place to eat after a long day at Disney. We heard great things about this place. It was Monday, 2-5-24. The website and Google all said Open until 10pm. We arrived at 9pm and were told that the restaurant kitchen was closed. The bar was open only for drinks. When my husband said it says you’re open until 10pm. The gal said Yes.. but because of low occupancy management decided to close the kitchen early. This is supposed to be a swanky expensive place and they closed an hour before they were supposed to. That’s ridiculous. Then you should t advertise one thing and then do another. We wasted a trip to this place. Our money is as green as the next person’s. Not impressed at all. And the gal was snobby to boot and didn’t care at all. That’s just what management decided. Not an offer to help or anything. Customer service doesn’t exist here.
This was not my first visit to the Bull & Bear restaurant
This was not my first visit to the Bull & Bear restaurant and hopefully it won't be my last. This restaurant is located inside of Walt Disney World onsite at the Waldorf Astoria so you can expect nothing but the best. This establishment is luxurious from the moment you arrive until the time you depart. Before you can arrive to the restaurant or luxury hotel you arrive through the gates of Walt Disney World. Our reservations were for 9 pm and we arrived to a fireworks display occurring at the main park, but we could still enjoy them as we arrived for dinner. The grounds are immaculately kept and we enjoyed the scenery as we arrived to the hotel. Tasteful and grande decor is what you will experience as you take the walk to the restaurant. We were seated near the window which overlooks the Olympic swimming pool and miniature golf area. After being seated, we were greeted by one of the three servers who waited on us for our dining event. We were here to celebrate my birthday. Each one of the young men were extremely courteous, knowledgeable on food preparation, including why the one bread was served warm and the other was served at room temperature. Quite impressive! Make sure you try both of the bread offerings. This isn't the place to start worrying about calories. This amuse-bouche of the evening was sea bass ceviche served on a serving spoon garnished with a sliver of red onion and chive. I am usually not a big fan of ceviche, but I am so glad I didn't let that from stop me from enjoying my small treat from the chef. Phenomenal and fresh! Our drink selection of the evening was the the old fashion chai (that might not be the exact name, but it was a cold drink that was the perfect mixture of rum and bourbon). For starters, we ordered the wedge salad and the award wining lobster bisque. The bisque arrives with only a medallion of lobster in the bottom and the server pours the bisque over the medallion; not only was the flavor extraordinary, the presentation of this bisque sets it apart from others at similar establishments. For our entrees, we both ordered steaks. I ordered the ribeye which I had butterflied and cooked medium. My dining companion ordered the NY Sirloin cooked medium rare. These steaks are a quality cut and seasoned with only salt and pepper, and they are seared at high temperature and rested to sear in the juices. They are able to maintain the warm temperature by serving on a hot plate. Both steaks were garnished with a half of roasted garlic bulb. We shared sautéed garlic spinach. All dishes were expertly prepared and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to splurge. This restaurant does come at a premium cost, but it was worthy every dollar spent. I was too full to order a dessert, but they still sent us home with a complimentary chocolate bar for dessert. This was not a traditional chocolate bar, but more like a chocolate mousse served in the shape of a bar. Note: while I didn't have this dish on this visit, the dover sole is outstanding and the best I have had at any restaurant. The serve a fish so fresh you can eat the fried bones. I know it sounds a tad weird, but still one of my favorite dishes.
Best service ever
Amazing service and very friendly staff. Steven and Amar did an amazing job and made us feel extremely welcomed. Will definitely be back.
Exceptional food and service
From the time we were greeted until the time we left, we recieved an excellent experience. We looked at the menu before we even got there but Tim our waiter was attentive and very helpful in giving suggestions for dishes and drinks which would match the tastes we were looking for. The service team was outstanding and provided a pleasant dining experience we didn't feel rushed in any way. We ordered the famous fried chicken dish and a New York sirloin with frites cooked perfectly. The menu is pricey but worth every dime. Thank you for one of the best dinners we ever had.

Service: it was my third time at this restaurant and the other 2 times I would've rated the service 5 star. I would've given the service 3 star this time as it was very difficult to get a hold of my waiter at times. The other times had the bar so high perhaps that I was difficult to achieve it again? Ambiance: typical steakhouse ambiance in the restaurant. Should dress nice for the occasion. My favorite part of this restaurant is the bar as they are huge into bourbon and I happen to also be huge into bourbon. Food: If you aren't going for a huge fat steak than what are you doing!?!?!? The steak was phenomenal and totally recommend it! For sides I loved the mushrooms and mashed potatoes. Crème brulee was delicious as well!

It was my first time at this restaurant which my daughter absolutely loves and it was an amazing experience. The food was beyond delicious and the service was the best I've ever had. We live in Miami and I will 100% come back.

3.5/5 won't go back again. The food is okay. The service is good. And if you don't have reservation, you can walk in to the lounge area on the opening time. There are six 4-people seats there. 5/5 lobster bisque 2/5 escargots and gnocchi unless you really like gnocchi! 3/5 foie gras - too salty 5/5 egg 4/5 lamb
Disappointed
Firstly, let me express my admiration for the outstanding service provided by Alexie, Diana and Zalina. They have consistently gone above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience for us over the past couple of years. That being said, I must address the recent alterations made to the bar menu after the restaurant's facelift. While the new ambiance is undeniably more inviting, the removal of the fried chicken, which was a favorite among patrons, has left us disheartened. We understand the desire for a refined dining experience and diverse menu options beyond steaks and fish. Unfortunately, we only discovered the removal of this item after making a trip to the restaurant, which has left a negative impression. I wanted to share this feedback respectfully, as your customers, in the hopes that it could contribute to a further improvement of the overall dining experience and the consideration of adding the fried chicken back to the menu.
Not the real Bull & Bear
Our first time dining here. The food was some of the best we have had in many trips, in particular, the chicken and mash was sublime. We knew beforehand that their renovation would not be complete and would be temporarily located in Oscars (which usually hosts breakfast). As we would not be returning to the US for a couple of years we decided to keep our reservation. Sadly it was let down by the lack of ambience. they did little to make it feel like the real Bull & Bear. The door to the hall was left open which was distracting and they wouldn't close it. We will return to the real Bull & Bear on our next trip.
