Cavita London Reviews
Unfriendly service and awful food.
I came in for lunch with my daughter - the service is unfriendly, aloof and not welcoming. The atmosphere is great but the food is just awful - I don’t we’ve ever had such bad Mexican food. Will not be returning.
Not good!
Truly an awful experience. The bar downstairs for drinks was dark and dingy. Couldn’t see a thing. The menu had half of the dishes missing. Considering it was a Thursday evening they should have foreseen their ordering of popular dishes which the
Overpriced, tiny portions
Absurdly overpriced, tiny portions (I ate when I got home!) and wine (by glass or bottle) about twice the price of most restaurants
Authentic Mexican
Authentic Mexican and fun - this place does great food and drinks and Dan the waiter was wonderfully friendly and welcoming. Even the watermelon non alcoholic cocktail was fab. We shared a selection of starters and mains was great.
To balance the recent negative posts…
Please make your own mind up! The reviews here are very mixed. We thought all the dishes & the Margaritas were great. It isn’t cheap but it is W1. What do you expect? Lots of smaller plates £9 to £16 if you want to keep the cost down.
Awful Overpriced Food - Avoid
Awful food-lamb skewers all gristle and fat. Margaritas watered down. Terrible value for money. Lazy Ultra High Processed tourist trap. Avoid.
Disappointed
Everything seemed fine until we left the restaurant, but when I got home and checked the receipt, realized we had been charged an extra £30 for food and drinks we never ordered. I would never go back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
My Sunday evening dinner at Cavita in Central London
I have been coming here since it opened but in the last two months the food quality has dropped, the portions are much smaller, I ate here on the 6 July I ate here I had the Quesabirria and the Gringa both very oily. The old bearded chef was amazing.
The food did not live up to expectations..
The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere with a lovely ambience, though it can get quite noisy when full. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to expectations. The ceviche lacked balance, with an overpowering saltiness and not enough citrus
NOT WORTH IT!
A huge disappointment, overrated! Really NOT worth the price, pick another Mexican restaurant. The interior was nice. The service this evening was non existing.
Disappointed
Lovely interiors and had high hopes for this place. Food was tasty but expensive for what you got - small portions. What let it down was the service - inattentive and aloof. Had to wait for service several times and the meal took a long time. Won’
Great food and atmosphere
Really great food in a buzzing Mexican restaurant. We were celebrating my daughter's 23rd birthday, and the birthday dessert was a lovely surprise. Expensive but worth it.
Gorgeous Mexican restaurant
I absolutely loved this restaurant. My friend took me out here as a birthday treat and it felt special still with a relaxed vibe. The food was incredible, we had lots of small plates to share and they brought them out one by one which was really nice

Birthday welcoming 👎🏻👎🏻
We found this cute restaurant on Instagram and it looked lovely so we decided to book it form my birthday! My boyfriend got there before me and the first thing they told him was that we would have to leave in 2 hours time, not a great start! The food
Poor value
Great ambience, decor ,staff ,but I went there to eat good food. The food quality and taste was excellent, very different to the usual but all the dishes were overpriced .Extortionate drinks ,nice experience but can't justify the expense to make it a

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Cavita London at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Cavita London page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* EternalAnt36, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's $200 bid.
* EternalAnt36 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to EternalAnt36 for any questions Peter may have as EternalAnt36 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* EternalAnt36 now uses their connections at Cavita London to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If EternalAnt36 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, EternalAnt36 receives the $200 reward which is credited to EternalAnt36's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Cavita London!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
