Be the first to ReplyGame over
After years of dining here it hit me this week: this place is dated. In a city dripping with new restaurants, this granddaddy is way past its prime. The food is not memorable, the space tired and the experience not exiting. It’s over Johnny
Be the first to ReplyTerrific dinner!
Dinner was amazing! Our party of 6 had Orecchiette Kale Pesto, Bolognese, Sausage Pizza, and short ribs gnocchi were had for main courses. Croquettes, Calamari & San Danieli for apps. All was delicious!! Paired with San Giovesse wine. Delicioso! Service was good; ambiance great! Will definitely be back when we’re in Miami Beach!
Be the first to ReplySunday Brunch at Cecconi at SOHO
Fantastic Sunday Brunch. Excellent and never ending food. Beautiful setting. Just loved it. Can’t wait to go again
Be the first to ReplyStylish Italian in a beautiful courtyard setting.
Stylish Italian with cracking atmosphere, Cecconi’s didn’t disappoint on any level. Great food, attentive service, reasonably priced and in a beautiful outdoor courtyard setting. Full of sophisticated clientele across all ages, dress to impress or been understated casual cool whichever you prefer. With a nice menu of all classic Italian favourites would highly recommend if this is what your after….
Be the first to ReplyFood okay, service unattentive
We had dinner here this past week and were excited for some authentic Italian food. This restaurant is inside the Soho Beach house in a little courtyard that is very photogenic but lacks in atmosphere when inside. Lot’s of tables cramped in and very close to each other, so, don’t expect privacy. We were seated right by the door and had a good view across the restaurant but it wasn’t a comfy table. It had rained earlier and the roof was open and we got sprayed a few times. Our waiter was uninspired and we got better service from the service team who were really helpful when we asked for something. One of our glasses spilled and our waiter saw it but decided to ignore it and walk on. We had to waive to the team for help. We also poured our own water and weren’t asked for bread which everyone else seemed to get. The food was ok but far from authentic. We had beef carpaccio which seemed prepared and not fresh. The pizza was extremely greasy and our pasta had no flavor. When we first sat down we were presented with 2 menus and a wine menu. The wine menu is for rare or more expensive bottles (which noone explained to us) and the actual wine list is on the back of the menu. We ordered decent Italian red by the glass which was fine. All in all a very disappointing experienxe considering that like almost anywhere in Miami you end up paying 250/300$ for dinner. We will not go back
Be the first to ReplyAlways good
We always love coming here when we visit. The ambience is a delight and the food is always delicious. My only criticism is that 1 never really has a waiter it's rather 2 or 3 people which leads to confusion and feels very Impersonal.
Be the first to ReplyCecciones - EXCELLENT (& FUN!!) Italian restaurant on Miami Beach!
Located in SoHo Beach Club mid-beach on Miami Beach, Cecciones (several in U.S.A.) has maintained it’s very high quality food and “fun” ambiance for many, many years. Our recent dinner (group of 7 people) enjoyed lovely covered patio dinning, nice service, & every single food item was VERY good: Craft cocktails - all very good (Manhattan, Margaritas, Vanilla martini etc) Pizzas - excellent appetizer Butter lettuce salad - fresh & delicious Lobster spaghetti - a classic here! Scallops - perfectly seared Eggplant parmesan - large delicious portion Cavatelli lamb ragu - excellent Veal chop milanese - expertly pounded & prepared (NOT “dry” as is possible with this) Branzino - very good Tiramisu - fresh, light yummy! Kudos to Cecciones for maintaining such excellent quality for so many years!! If you’ve never been … Go!! GREAT food (& a FUN scene).
Be the first to ReplyCecconis I love you forever
Somehow, coming to Cecconis has become a yearly imperative when I am in Miami with friends or family. As a regular Miami visitor, I’ve been here now 4 times? Or so in the last 3 years. That says enough because I’m not a gal who loves to dine and repeat. But I will always come here when I’m in town. They have this ricotta spread that is a literal drug, that deserves to be on the periodic table of food elements. I love that they have happy hour at the bar. There aren’t enough good happy hours anymore. Overall this place is great food and great people watching.
Be the first to ReplyGreat service
The restaurant is always a fun place to dine and people-watch. The food is also excellent, and the service is great. Vanessa assisted me with my reservation and she was so patient and kind. Made the dining experience wonderful, she made us feel important.
Be the first to ReplyTypical Cecconi
The restaurant is outdoors and really nice with trees everywhere. The atmosphere was great but the tables were way too close together. The menu is mostly the same as every other cecconi with a few local additions. The chopped salad was really good and enough for two people. The rigatoni bolognese was good and tasted the same as any other cecconi. The bucatini amatriciana was not al dente enough. Portions are big. Valet parking is a disaster at this location.
Be the first to ReplyJerry made us feel at home!
It had been a while since my wife and I had visited Cecconi’s Miami Beach, yet we decided to stumble in for a Picante de la Casa before dinner last night. Cecconi’s is always a beautiful setting with their outdoor dining area magically lit up, and the food + drinks are always consistently delicious, but I am writing this review to highlight a great service experience that we had last night with Jerry (bartender). Jerry welcomed us in and treated us like friends and really made us feel at home. We’ve always gotten great service at Cecconi’s in the past, but Jerry really showed out with his personality and care. Thank you for making my wife’s birthday that more special Jerry!
Be the first to ReplyNice decor, everything else average
The food was average and the experience left a lot to be desired. While the restaurant was beautiful, the table and chairs were so small it’s hard to enjoy a meal. We sat a two top and it couldn’t haven’t been much larger than a bedside table. The whole meal you had to shuffle things around so you could fit your plate, wine and water glass. We got pizza and it ended up taking up most the table, wish I took a picture! At first I thought the staff was attentive but after being there 10 mins it was clear they were rushing us through our meal. I’m happy we stopped by for a pizza, salad and few apps because for the price there are much better options.
Be the first to Reply$85 per head buffet brunch was a bit stiff and not overtly advertised
Nice venue. Lively energy - we were outside and the setting was lovely. The $85 per head cost for brunch buffet on a Sunday was not overtly stated. We were given a menu that mentioned bottomless brunch $37 - so we were quite surprised at the $85 per head that we were then charged. In retrospect the $37 is added if you want bottomless booze. We arrived at 1415 and some food items had already run out - so if you plan to come - book earlier in the service. The menu on Open Table lists items like pizza as under $30 so we paid a lot more than we bargained for. So only go if you’ve got deep pockets and you are bargaining on over $100 per head with service.

What a wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion. The setting is magical. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic find
I went to this restaurant 3 times during my stay in Miami, breakfast twice, lunch once. Breakfast was outstanding, fantastic staff, really relaxed and tasty food. Lunch was also nice but the service wasn’t as good as the breakfast service. Lady on the front desk was really welcoming, I will be back.
Be the first to ReplyWhat a lovely place
Amazing Italian style food (modelled on the Mayfar menu) in a very relaxed and comfortable setting in a rustic and romantic courtyard close to the Miami Beach front. The Vitello Tonnato and the Dover Sole were my highlight - and a special treat to find in the US.
Be the first to ReplyVitello Tonnato
When choosing between several Italian restaurants, I always choose one that has vitello tonnato on the menu. Very hard to find and so it's a special treat when this dish is on the menu. This version was tasty with just the right amount of tonnato and capers. Loved the outdoor setting and definitely a people watching restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyEnded up being a letdown
I was so excited for this brunch, but it ended up being a huge letdown. They don't really advertise how much it costs, I believe it was like $85 per person. And the food available really wasn't that great - breakfast offerings were limited to one table near the back. Lots of olives, cheese, charcuterie meats, etc. Each person got one cocktail, which was nice but would have loved a second. There were some great pasta dishes offered, and the gelato was pretty good, but I was kind of over it by then. I don't regret the experience, but would not go back again. I also couldn't stand that we were seated in the lobby where people were constantly walking by us. People bumped my chair as they rounded the corner I was sitting at. One guy just came from the pool and ran his hand through his wet hair, spraying me as he walked by. So unhygienic.
Be the first to ReplyImpressed
Went for takeout. The rigatoni bolognese was delicious. The bartender that ordered my meal was very personable.
I will definitely return and have an in person meal. The ambience was wonderful!
Always great food, service and atmosphere.
We have been coming to this favorite little gem for almost 10 years. This trip we had dinner twice here. One night in main dining room. And one night sitting in lobby - people watching. Honestly. I cannot imagine one item k. The menu not being a hit ! Everything we order is amazing. Starters. The Gnochi is unique and a must try. Meatballs also delightful. Margarita pizza is always a go to. Pesto dish. And the black pepper pasta. Always amazing dishes. A romantic place on Miami Beach. Thank you team. Look forward to our next visit.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic setting, delicious food
Like dining in a garden while sitting on a plush couch. The crowd is professional and attractive 30- and 40-somethings.
I first had the Vegetable soup with tarragon. Lovely presentation with sliced crispy radishes on top. The soup itself was thick with generous portions of cannellini beans. Delicious.
I then had the plant-based pizza which was very tasty and filling. They also provided fresh bread and olives which were nearly as good as the pizza.
Very reliable and great food
Reliable as always. Had a great pizza and salads. Food and service excellent and fairly priced. Nothing was too much trouble and staff attentive. Kids also really liked. Would repeat
Be the first to ReplyHigh Expectations
Nice ambiance and a very popular spot in Miami.Food is pretty pricey and I wasn't very impressed with the menu so we went for more basic entrees. Honestly, the dishes were satisfactory. I really enjoyed the pasta and it certainly hit the spot. Pizza was what you expect (nothing exceptional). Overall, I feel this place is a great special occasion / date / photo op spot. The limited and pricey menu is not something I'd return for.
Be the first to ReplySo many better restaurants
I was so excited to try this place since they had gluten free options and great reviews. While the decor is cute I was less than impressed. First of all they allow animals, not everyone wants to dine with pets. I for one find this unsanitary and my husband is allergic. The dog barked the ENTIRE time, walked on top the bar, was in the chairs etc and not a single person told this person to take their dog off the furniture. The gluten free pizza was definitely undercooked, the burrata was not that impressive and the pasta dish was the same as you could make at home. I will say the salted Carmel Gelato was delicious. Definitely not worth the price tag.
