Be good to yourself!
Ok letโs not kid ourselves. Itโs expensive. I get it. But this is my go to place when Iโm on my own and I want to spoil myself. Go look at and enjoy all the unaffordable tech in Harrods and then have the best Dim Sum with a glass of wine. The food is perfect the service matches. Donโt discard the idea of a cocktail. Youโll drop some cash but you will not regret it! Therapy in a restaurant!

We appreciated Troy and all of the attentive staff! He was so courteous and polite the ideal person assisting you with a meal. The chai wu old fashioned not to be missed. All staff were friendly and polite would love to return
Be the first to ReplyLack of ambiance for that price tag
Had dinner this December, and we were given a table next to an open hole in the wall (a window that has no glass on, sees through the shopping floor, cold air con from the mall blows in. Lack of ventilation maybe?) Service was as good as they could provide given that night was so busy. Food is tasty, but 2 or 3 times more expensive than other places where you can get the same. I mean it's inside of Harrods, if you want to stay to dine you pay. Fair play.

Always happy to come back to this place where i have been four time in a row last week. I love the crab and corn soup and the Dim Sum platter. I also love their desserts which are simple but delicious. But i have to say that all the various dishes of the menus are excellent. The service is superb.

We had a previous bad experience here in this restaurant but I managed to talk my husband around to revisit & give it another go on our last trip up to London, honestly โฆ it was awful ! Too many staff stood around doing nothing, the service is ok though nothing is recommended, the chefs are bored to death stood around, the atmosphere is horrible and the food - we started enjoying until I found a โ long black hair โ in the riceโฆ it made me sick - I went to the bathroom and even they are unkempt, the bill was over ยฃ200 for 2 of us and despite the blonde lady coming over to โ smooth it overโ and apologise I felt cheated, the Manager didnโt even pass the table he was too busy playing on his phone ! Itโs safe to say that sadly we wonโt be going back.. too many staff, felt uncomfortable with the fact it was empty and the service was shocking for the money we paid.
Be the first to ReplyGood food, expensive especially the wines and poor ambiance
Having loved the food at a couple of Taste Food Festivals we decided to try Chai Wu. It is tucked away in a cramped bit of Harrods and designed to play the the wealthy Harrods clientele. The food is very good, but the tables are somewhat jammed in and there's only two toilets that were not well served. He premium on alcohol and just for ยฃ220 a head not fabulous enough to visit again. I would go to Hakasan or Zuma any time over this place.

Nowadays, not so easy to find on 5th floor of Harrods; entrance kind of hidden away between Technology sections. Food expensive (maybe more than the Savoy River Restaurant by G Ramsey but difficult to compare like for like) but delicious and lovely and hot. I even got a surprise free dessert: yellow sorbet was fabulous gorgeous. Personally lighting dark for me but seating very comfortable.

My favourite Chinese restaurant in London now. The dim sum are delicious, the corn and crab soup excellent and all the other dishes like Singapore vermicelli with shrimps and all ice creams are all perfect. The service is class, professional and friendly.

Back to this place another time to try again, as this is very irregular. Dim Sum platter, crab soup, Wagyu puff, Cantonese vermicelli and dessert of the day. Everything perfect and delicious. The service was great.
The deco is also nice and the place is convenient in Harrods.

My friend could not stop going on about this restaurant, we easily walked in, no need for a reservation, the service was okay. The food is terrible, the dimsum was nice and the prawns spring rolls were to die for. The rest of it was sooo bad. I mean for the prices they really need to do much better. It's almost sad eating here, do not waste your money, I repeat the food is terrible

Our Thai waitress was sociable and kind and very accommodating to our needs. The Shanghainese noodles were very well cooked and delicious.
Be the first to ReplyThe portions are tiny and itโs very very expensive but the food is terrible so it all balances out
Super mediocre food , no better than a cheap takeaway BUT tiny portions at 10x the price . Honestly just a nerve to charge that . Felt like a rip-off
Be the first to ReplyReally deserve 5* but food wasnโt up to mark
The people that work here and the service is amazing!
Canโt fault them a bit and this is how it should be the ambience was great, great covid restrictions also and spaces amongst tables.
The rice we had and another item was very cold and one was just over dose of sauc. But everything recommendations were great and the drinks too.

Be the first to ReplyAmazing
This was my first time visiting the restaurant and it was amazing, the food was delicious my favorites being the sweet & sour chicken served with dragon fruit and the prawn spring rolls. The green tea chocolate fondant was so nice. I'll definitely be coming back and the two staff members who served my table were AMAZING best service, the were very knowledgeable about the food their names were Zuzana & Joseph.
