Delicious! Can’t wait to come back
We recently booked in for a family birthday, and everyone was blown away by how delicious the food was. The starters would outstanding!! I’m particular the wasabi prawns and the pork and prawn dumplings. We did an mix of about five mains and they were all equally good! Can’t wait to come back and taste more of their menu!

Had a takeaway from here and it was good. So decided to eating in.. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The food was very good and it was well presented. It is worth trying but the only thing is that there is very little parking and it’s meter parking until 7pm. I would probably go back again.

Myself and my wife visited this restaurant recently. I had been a number of times for business meetings and I always enjoyed the food.
For starter we both had the Chinese dumplings which were really tasty.
Then came the main. We both decided to try the Chon Qing Chicken as we had never had it before. We both found it almost impossible to eat as it is spicy in the extreme. A dish like this should carry a warning on the menu which it didn’t. We both ended up leaving half of our meals. When we googled it many people stated that you never eat the chilies which was not explained to us.
Very disappointing for what is otherwise a nice restaurant.
Unfortunately things seem to have taken a turn for the worse in many restaurants since the lockdowns with a poor service. In the past this type of thing would have been pointed out to customers.
Restaurants simply don’t have the staff they had before the lockdowns and it shows.
surprised at the group thing about this place= but it has a catchment as nothing else around there....
It nice, do't get me wrong. Busy, attractive, nice food. BUT, 'SHREDDED pork is NOT shredded. Its cut. And its in a saucey weird goupy mixture which is not good. I had imagined is as shredded duck, dry, but with a garlic/oinion sensibility. gosh ...was I wrong...avoid it, its not good. When my hardly touched main was collected, even with a gasp from waitress - not a word.. from her or the two different people to come to the table after. NOT good. Ouch. If payers dont eat it, ASK why????

This is without doubt my favourite Chinese restaurant.
Lovely ambiance, menu is nice and varied, service is excellent and food is wonderful.
Just wish I lived nearby
Amazing food and service
I had a lovely meal last night. The menu was very broad and catered for all tastes, including vegetarian specialities. The service was very attentive and everything was seamless and led to a very enjoyable, safe and relaxed evening with a group of colleagues.

Can’t remember when we last had a meal as tasty as this evening in China Sichuan. There were four of us and each dish was better than the next. Can’t wait to go back but do we have the same again or try other dishes? Problems, problems 🤗
Al the staff were lovely and whoever is in the kitchen certainly knows what they’re doing. Go on - treat yourself - you won’t regret it. One of Dublin’s best treats!
As good as it gets
This isn’t Chinese food - it’s Chinese fine dining. Delicious dishes beautifully presented and served by a top-notch staff of friendly, polished professionals. Elegant but not stuffy. This is an absolute gem.

We ordered food from here a few weeks ago. The online order process is very user friendly and efficient. I’m usually disappointed with Chinese takeaways but this restaurant did not disappoint. The entire family enjoyed their meal (and they are a fussy bunch!). We will definitely order from here again. Even the packaging and presentation was appealing. Thank you

So, with the pandemic things are very different. Ordered from what looks like a reduced menu online and was looking forward to sating my desire for something specifically Sichuanese. I've eaten in some really authentic and some really typical Sichuanese restaurants and love the bold flavours. Unfortunately in Ireland, there really are not many restaurants like this. In fact in Dublin I'm only aware of one other (infinitely better too).
First thing you notice about this place is the price. It is very expensive for what is essentially very ordinary food. The menu seems a tad confused also, falling somewhere between Sichuan and general pan-Asian food.
We ordered two portions of hot and spicy dumpling soup. I was expecting typical Chinese dumplings in soup. I love the chewiness of a decent dumpling, but these were wonton dumplings. It didn't say this on the menu. Felt misled and at almost 9 euro a portion, I felt cheated.
We also ordered the soft shell crab. I love soft shell crab but the batter on this was over cooked and so the crab lost it's delicacy, does not travel well.
We ordered some fried beans with mushroom and radish. These beans are best served from wok to table. Once you fry them and put them in a air tight container they begin to steam. What you end up with is mush. Seasoning was non existent too.
We ordered the pan fried monkfish in yellow bean sauce. Fish was deep fried (in the wok I imagine) and did not travel well. Flavours were ok. W also ordered the fish fragrance shredded pork. Was not shredded. It was sliced in to thin strips. It was not velveted or tender and the sauce was wet rather than clinging. Not very good at all.
All and all the experience was distinctly mediocre. At these prices you expect it to be great. This type of Chinese cuisine should not cost this amount. Take a visit down Capel street or Parnell street after the lockdown to see a truer representation of Chinese food and price points. Just off O'Connell street you'll find a far superior Sichuanese at far more honest a price.
