Lunch at the Cafe Cibreo
We ate lunch at the Helvetia Bristol hotel. Food: very good Service: excellent Ambience: very good This smaller version of the larger restaurant was an unexpected surprise.

What to say? Characteristic restaurant with a unique style. High quality food and really nice presentation. I love eating at the counter near the open kitchen. Many courses and a lot of poetry and research within each dish. Recommendation for a special evening! €50 per person for a remarkable food experience.

West and East blend perfectly in this one-of-a-kind restaurant. The venue is intimate, and with attention to the smallest details: nothing is left to chance. We had a really great time. If I can give advice, I would implement the wine proposal. We will definitely be back! See you soon.

Optimal! Even if small, an experience worth repeating. Inventions of flavors with references to fusion cuisine. East and West without borders.

After carefully reading the website and the presentation of the menu, very intrigued, I decide to book for dinner (I recommend always doing so, the place is very small). The evening formula includes a tasting itinerary chosen by them with different courses, some of which change daily depending on availability. Open kitchen, place settings around the counter: an excellent location to enjoy the experience to the fullest. All the courses satisfied me, from the starter to the dessert, I ate everything without leaving anything. The best dish was the Japanese appetizer like a savory pudding served with tasty and excellent broth on top. Good service, could improve on some aspects such as greater explanation of the dishes and their preparation. Truly splendid evening even with the flaw of the smell of cooking which is still strong inside the place. Good job.

Interesting culinary experience. Traditional Tuscan flavors combined with oriental cuisine. An unusual mix, but one that works. I recommend eating at the counter for an immersive experience. All very delicious!

I went to Cibleo for dinner with my girlfriend. They made us sit outside, in the adjacent square at a small table outside the Deore, which was very nice and intimate. In every course that was brought to us we can see how the raw materials are of extreme quality and there is a real study on the part of the chef to propose such interesting flavor combinations. Personally, the fish course is my favourite. Excellent service, extremely competent and polite. The price is right for what is offered and we will certainly return at the next menu change to try the new dishes. Absolutely recommended.

A sensorial experience halfway between the culinary and the mystical. Flavors that blend and discover new ones, an excellent level of service, a unique atmosphere. We tried the Cibleo with the curiosity to explore and we left with a certainty

After a week in Tuscany, we wanted to eat something a bit different for a change one day. We decided on this place and it turned out to be a good choice. The food was really flavorful and interesting. Service was efficient. We sat outside on a lovely sunny day and really enjoyed the whole experience.

An interesting fusion of Japanese cuisine using Italian ingredients. Not for common appeal but I liked Chef Ryo’s interpretation. In Asia, I would probably give this 4 stars but given the limitations of ingredients and how I missed Asian food, I enjoyed the meal. It’s also reasonably priced too for a degustation.

Being from San fransisco, the land of food mash-up, and a frequent visitor to japan, noted this in Michelin, and booked a reservation via e-e-mail. (Reply was quick, just specify you want this restaurant as it’s a group of related venues based off the original Tuscan place cebreo. Meal is a Kyoto style meal that mixes traditional Tuscan themes with Japanese tradition. Food of this type can be trite, or overdone, this meal was neither. Meal was excellent in all respects, as was the service. Rather than sake, we paired the food with at the advice of the server a dry Lambrusco (not your daddy’s Lambrusco) which was superb. I can’t say enough, from the sardines and tripe, to the Japanese “ravioli”, to tthe homemade tofu (rich like ricotta) to the Carmel custard with burn Japanese sugar and a wild sweet sake they gave us at the end, it was hands down the best meal of this type I have had, and one of the best period.

Sitting at the counter in this itty bitty space for a creative and delicious dinner was a wonderful departure from traditional Florence cuisine. Great service, and overall lovely experience.

Funny. It tastes like a new and unique experience and it’s cheaper than you’d probably guess. If you want to come back, wait a while
Be the first to ReplyAmazing tasting menu at Cibleo Tortelli Ravioli - ask to be sat at the kitchen bar!
We went for the oriental taster menu and it did not disappoint. We were sat at the bar, overlooking the kitchen and the chefs were so friendly, they talked us through each dish as we watched them cook, it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The food was the best Asian food we have had, each small plate was perfect. We could not fault it. This is an absolute must when in Florence.
Thanks to all the team at Cibleo for a special evening
Delicious
We (2 persons) had here lunch on Wednesday 25 August and we enjoyed a 5 course menu, consisting of a.o. delicious Japanese noodles with duck breast, dumplings, tiriyaki with rice and chicken. A bottle of water, a glass of very good wine and coffee is included in the menu price of 40 euro per person. Unfortunately, we had to fly back the next morning, otherwise we would visit this great small restaurant the next day again.
