You can see why it is a top top top restaurant.
Did out homework prior to going to Barcelona. Checked the venue on the Michelin app. Not in the centre, but easy via underground or bus. Nice welcome, was full on a Thur ev. Nice friendly staff. Loved the idea that the owner came and spoke to us. Great idea of the staff trainers, Staff looked relaxed and enjoying the job. Loads of staff in general, had the wine pairing which was good, Not cheap but you get what you pay for in life. Atmosphere was superb, and the service was of military precision every time.

Cocina Hermanos Torres was shockingly bad. From both service to food, this restaurant was pretentious and underwhelming. I have never been so disappointed at a 3 star restaurant, I would hardly give it 1 star. The food was uninteresting and bland, a few dishes just stated bad. The hostess had a pretentious attitude and our server spilled our wine. I regret having dinner here with my wife and I advise others to skip.

My experience with Cocina Hermanos Torres was disappointing and frustrating. Despite clear communication, the restaurant failed to honor the advertised testing menu price, insisting on a significantly higher cost due to a Mobile World Congress event. This lack of transparency and flexibility regarding pricing left me unable to proceed with my reservation. Furthermore, the apparent disregard for customer concerns suggest a lack of hospitality and empathy, qualities one would expect from a restaurant of a three-star Michelin. Additionally, the restaurant's decision to use the Mobile World Congress event as an excuse to raise the price post-booking, rather than informing customers beforehand, is unacceptable. Despite sending three reminders to cancel my reservation and avoid my credit card being charged, there was no acknowledgment or response from the restaurant. This lack of attentiveness to customer requests further underscores the disappointing experience. True excellence in the culinary world extends beyond the food itself to encompass the entire dining experience, including customer service and communication. Regrettably, Cocina Hermanos Torres fell short in this regard, casting doubt on its suitability for recognition as a top-tier establishment.
Be the first to Replyone of the best Michelin experiences
My husband and I really enjoyed our valentine's dinner at Cocina Hermanos Torres tonight. Every course was prepared with the uppermost attention to detail, creativity, freshest food selection, and exquisite culinary design. I had the best cod and duck in my life tonight. I have dined at Michelin 3 star in Paris and Cocina Hermanos Torres strikes me with a unique, whimsical ambiance and space. The open kitchen concept is not easy to execute if you think about it - with guests looking/judging/staring at the chefs who are cooking in the middle of the room. Overall, I really appreciate the effort of the chef, his team, and the service staff. I would come back again if I am in Barcelona next time.

Be the first to ReplyWonderful journey of 15 courses.
Just got back from this amazing experience. 15 courses so beautifully prepared. We went with the maridaje de vinos. I think it was 10 copas but I don’t fully remember. I love having the chefs in the middle of the restaurant, watching them and the brothers create their magic. Everything ran like an oiled machine. Brilliant service from everyone. A true gem in a beautiful city. It is very expensive, especially for Barcelona but it’s a journey to enjoy if it’s your thing. It’s certainly our thing.

My wife and I came here for lunch on our visit to Spain. The meal started at 1pm and ended around 4pm. There are some reviews that mention that they were rushed, we did not experience this.
The ambiance of this restaurant is really interesting. Everything is purposefully designed and built. It's tough to put into words but there's something about German precision that resonates with me when I think of this restaurant. Clearly, there's nothing German here except for some excellent wine.
I have to begin by giving the restaurant and staff a huge shout-out and a "Thank you". My wife had a stomach flu and she was not able to eat any of the food. The staff gave her amazing service by giving her soup, rice, and tea. They were incredibly attentive and understanding. Furthermore, they did not charge her for anything. This was incredibly gracious and unexpected.
I was able to enjoy the full meal along with the wine pairing. The presentation and service were incredible. Every dish came out looking amazing and the wine was perfectly paired with the meal. Now I have to be honest, I did not particularly enjoy the food. I simply did not think that the flavors were appetizing.
I must mention a huge caveat: We went to Disfrutar and Direkte and did not enjoy the food at those Michelin-star restaurants either. I suspect that our palette is just accustomed to different flavors or style of food.
Cocina Hermanos Torres is a unique dining experience that I would definitely recommend to others. The service, the atmosphere, and the presentation were incredible.
Spectacular, immaculate, beautiful, tasty, friendly… simply wonderful.
Spectacular, immaculate, beautiful, tasty, friendly… it was a wonderful experience from the greeting at the door to getting our coats and in between some of the most wonderful, delicious, extraordinary dishes and wines we have had. Outstanding.
Be the first to ReplyGreat but somewhat sterile and rushed
We had a great evening; the restaurant itself is gorgeous and food is truly excellent
although there were a few things on the 18-course parade that were no entirely our cup of tea.
The food is the true star definitely. Service and atmosphere wise there is a lot left to be desired and it all felt a bit sterile and at times robotic. While the open kitchen is interesting, the level op MEP was in a way a drawback as many dishes were merely “warmed” (two chefs standing in front of a sous-vide warmer for several minutes) and you did not really feel the experience of the kitchen like the pazazz at Wils in Amsterdam or Burnt Ends in Singapore; it all is very reserved and opulent, but we missed a bit of soul, humor and the feeling of being there for an experience.
Especially at the beginning we were felt extremely rushed and hardly were given time to settle in, enjoy our cava and actually have conversations amongst ourselves as we were being disturbed by the waitstaff to introduce the next bite.
Again, we had a very nice evening and I would definitely return but as a whole experience the full potential was not reached.
A culinary treat
What can you say? Excellent service, beautiful space, and finely executed courses. We had the full tasting menu (photo attached) with drink pairings. Everything was quite tasty, although very few courses wowed us.
One of our better meals this trip.
Top of our 2* list
A wonderful experience like no other. We try to visit the top rated restaurants in each place we visit, we usually have more notice but we were lucky and delighted to find we could get a last minute reservation on a Tuesday night.
Each dish was truly unique and the synchronised staff made this a magical evening.
It was lovely to see the brothers working in the open kitchen, a very nice touch.
Drinks pairing was also very good with a couple of mixed drinks steering from the usual wine offering.
Our bill was 700€ so it is on the more expensive side of the Michelin star list, but the experience was nearly 4 hours and 18plus courses including snacks.
