Is the food or view better??
Went here while visiting Kirkland. It feels like you are in Europe. The view is spectacular! Clams and fried artichokes were a great way to start. Our server Stefano was so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend the halibut. Pizza looked amazing too. Next time have to get that!!
Be the first to ReplyNice for watching sunset
Nice and unique place, great for watching sunset! The food is very good, portions are just perfect not too much and enough to make you full. The price is average ok for this area. One thing that I noticed twice is, it gets very loud. There are big groups and usually they are so frickinh loud. The wait stuff is just ok, not really trying to be professional or nice, their attitude is just fine for a pub or bar place, needs improvements to work in such a nice restaurant. I will definitely come back, maybe at 4.00pm before loud groups get there.
Be the first to ReplyLoud, Expensive, OK Food
It was a Friday night. Place was full. Loudest place I have been in for a long time. Had trouble hearing table mates. Menu did not strike our fancy at all. Service was slow. A lot of groups seemed to impact the service. Sorry, nothing much posit to say. It seemed very popular however.

Rather mucc too noisy overall but the food was good. we had to shout to be heard by the server. Our server was exceptional. My wife is not fond of Italian but they have good choices

It was time to catch up with a very long time friend since we hadn’t seen each other in ages. We came here before and quickly remembered why we shouldn’t come back… I was a couple of minutes late (those who know me, yes, this is unheard of) and the reservation was under my name. My friend was told to step aside and wait while I arrived. Just how do you have the audacity to tell that to a guest? I immediately saw on his face that we were not off to a good start once I arrived. Got seated and with that, dinner wasn’t really recoupable. The burrata while ok, had little creativity in plating and flavor. Salad was wilted and the porcini risotto, had to do some digging to find them but other than that, bland and again, not visually appealing. Noise level is just beyond annoying in the “meat market” of a place where it seems people come to be seen. I’m out for good! Shame, cause sitting outside, I had fond memories of during the summer. Oh well…
Be the first to ReplyHuge disappointment
While this Italian restaurant is in a lovely Setting overlooking Lake Washington, the three different bottles of red wine we ordered were a huge disappointment to the point of being and drinkable. Had to finally settle for a bottle of Prosecco. Clams and pork belly starters were very good. They should serve focaccia to the table rather than having to order it separately. Steak was marginal and we’ve had better at Applebee’s. The two pizzas were good. This dinner experience didn’t live up to reviews or expectations. Wait staff disappeared and intermittent. Cranked up the music so loud it was nearly impossible to continue conversation across the table. If you go for dinner before the sunsets, take your sunglasses as there is no provision to filter a blazing setting Sun screaming off the lake. Our server never suggested we could open the windows even though we were fanning ourselves and asked about window coverings.

Let me start with stating that the calamari appetizer was delicious, the tajarin was amazing and the tiramisu not too sweet and pretty authentic. The bread, not so much. However, what really made me lower the rating drastically was the fact that one glass brought to the table was dirty. So was a plate. And the smudge of food on the wall did not instill much confidence in the hygiene of the place either. Furthermore, if you want to have a conversation, you better step out of the restaurant. Because even though the space is nice, it is just too loud. Service was friendly, but I felt rushed. Try to clear a plate on the smallest shop on lake Como or bring the bill while people are still eating and you will likely get punched by the customer. Would I go back? Not sure. But definitely not for a business dinner.
Be the first to ReplyBest meal in Kirkland.
Loved everything about Como… the food, the atmosphere, and the service. All top notch. My teenage daughter and I shared the calamari appetizer and then we had the carbonara and the pappardelle with wild boar ragu entrees, and the dessert was a cake with strawberries served with ice cream (I can’t remember the actual name). The only thing I wish I’d known was that after I paid for parking, I saw a sign that the restaurant could validate parking. But oh well! A great evening and a great meal.

Wow, what a disappointment. My husband made 8pm reservations here for my birthday, on a Tuesday evening. He told them it was for a special occasion. We arrived on time and waited next to the hostess stand for someone to seat us ... and waited, and waited. Eventually someone came over, asked if we wanted a table, and on being told we had a reservation, told us we could wait at the bar until a table became available. No apology, no indication of when a table might be free, very little interest whatever. We decided to continue waiting at the hostess station, figuring it would only be a few minutes, but a good ten minutes passed, and someone else wandered over, asked if we wanted a table, and on being told we had reservations for 8pm - it was now 8:20 - went to look for a table, then came back and said, something "should open up." I asked "when?" And mentioned that we had reservations, and pretty much got a shrug in return. Bonus: when he checked the reservation list, we were the ONLY reservation they had after 7pm that evening. So, in spite of knowing they had one reservation and it was for a special occasion, they couldn't manage to find us a table in under 25 minutes, nor apologize to us, offer us a drink for the inconvenience, nothing. Just a shrug. If they happen to have a free table when you go, who knows? Maybe you'll get decent service and a good meal. But don't count on either, given how little meaning their reservations seem to have.

Excellent pastas and appetizers. They have a good selection of wines by the glass. Can be hard to get a table at times, but when it isn't so busy, the place is hard to beat for service and ambiance.
Be the first to ReplyCuisine keeps pace with the view
First visit July 2021. Como came highly recommended by an old friend who lives nearby. The setting is tremendous, right on the water. Fortunately it does not fall into the trap so many other restaurants boasting an excellent setting do; the cuisine here is actually quite good. The pork belly was excellent. The wild boar ragu outstanding. The wine list was a little wanting and incorrect vintages were brought, unannounced, for both bottles. So the wine service needs polishing but otherwise Como is recommended.
Be the first to ReplyExtremely Rude Staff
Unhelpful and rude. The manager was unhelpful and arrogant and lacked customer service as we tried to have a quick meal at 430 pm for our family of 4 and grandchild. They state they take walk-ins on their website. There was no effort to rebook us for another evening or apology for not being able to give us a table. Unlikely to return with a booking due the unacceptable attitude of this manager.

We had an early dinner here on our first night in Kirkland. We didn't have a reservation (would recommend one) but also didn't mind eating at 4:30, since we were still on east coast time. The salads, risotto & fish dishes were all amazing. The interior of the restaurant is bright and airy, with ample views of the lake. The servers were wonderful as well. Highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyCharming room, views and deck- and very good Italian food
This restaurant has a nice mix of a homey, casual environment, and professional wait staff that take their work seriously. We didn't make a reservation ( I would advise one) so we couldn't get on the deck- or near it ( we were offered something near it but we thought it was too close to other people, given Covid careful habits). We were in a second room, very much alone until right before we left ( go early if you don't want to be near too many people). The food was very good- we split the sausage risotto and had a delicious salad and a very good tart for dessert. And we really liked our waiter's suggestions and attentiveness.
