My husband and I are tour operators and huge foodies at heart. We try to incorporate food and beverage into most tours for clients as we feel it makes a cultural or influential experience for them in a very memorable way. We are always looking for all sorts of things but uniqueness and unordinary will always stand out. Contraste came about in our Milan study tour planning and we decided we should probably check them out for ourselves. We have dined at places like Pujol in Mexico City and Spoonik in Barcelona so sometimes we get fed some ideas from other suppliers and contacts. We love to send clients to places we can vouch for. We are so happy to have been excepted by invitation only in email where they secure your dining with credit card. If you are a no show you will be charged but with 24 hrs + notice you can be refunded. We opted for the menu that the chefs design specifically for you that is made up of 10 (really 12 in our cases) small tapas like courses. Each plate is artistically created for you in an abstract and pretty much non objective manner. The entire experience is so entertaining, our palates had no idea what was coming for them next! Here is our menu. They email it to you after you dine. 28 Ottobre 2019Sardines "in saor" Gorgonzola tart HumitaLangoustine; Beef tartare from Piemonte Foie gras creme brulée; Carbonara /// Red onion and goat cheese. Octopus, chorizo and potatoes /// Octopus and potatoes; Almond, yogurt and black olives. Scallops noodles, parmesan cheese and dashi ; Tartare of roasted rabbit; Rabbit's kidneys; smoked eel and vinegar Mussel; Cheese and black pepper "Spaghetti " with clams.Donut alla bolognese.Cod fish and bagna cauda.Limousine sirloin; pak choi and trumpet courgettes. Veal, potatoes and red wine sauce.Corn taco, mole and avocado; Nighiri YucaPear and gorgonzola Rose's cake. Wines: Pinot Nero 2015 Cloudy Bay Pinot Nero 2106 StrobhlofWe strongly recommend this experience when in Milan. I want to add for any poor reviews, this type of experience is not for them, they honestly should not consider it in the first place. You can see what type of diners they are by reading their reviews. Don't be put off by them. If you enjoy food, art, something different and want a memorable experience, you need to try this.
