Exorbitant price for a cuppa
Sticker shock. 8 oz coffee takeaway oat milk is 7.20 bucks. Canโt believe the price. Did not know they charge another 50 cents for takeaway cup. Would have had it there

What an absolute gem in the middle of Wellington. Great cocktails and beer selection, and food was quick and high quality. Their new recruit in front of house Brooke is just fantastic.
Be the first to ReplySuperb Cocktail Experience
Lots of good things to say about this venue after we stopped off for a few post beeevana drinks. - Great service - Lovely range of cocktails - Top notch Espresso Martini - Very relaxing venue Weโll worth checking out if your out on the town.
Be the first to ReplyPoor quality non house cocktails
I was pretty disappointed with Cuckoo, their first house cocktail was lovely, well made and delightful. I then ordered a mojito and a moscow mule for myself and my wife. They were made in glass and were just bad. I expect a cocktail 'emporium' to be able to make a decent basic cocktail. In addition to this I had to move seats because where I sat in the nice quiet corner at the start smelt strongly of urine. Honestly, would never go back here, the only thing making this not a 1 star review is that their house cocktail was nice.

I've been a fan of Cuckoo ever since last year, I always get fantastic service from the manager with the nose piercings who is really friendly. The cocktails are amazing and the decor is so fun and quirky. Wish there were more bars like Cuckoo!
Be the first to ReplyRetro items for sale
I have found a pearl on the waterfront. This is a cosy retro cocktail bar and the retro items on show are for sale. There is outdoor seating on retro settees and bentwood chairs. There is a pool table at $2 a game and you do not have to cue! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable on cocktails and there is Moa beer on tap. An assortment of snack food including cheeseboard and toasted sandwiches if you are feeling peckish.Put your feet up and relax.

What a selection! Just a wee pre show drink but loved it and could easily stay for a night. Service was great.

Quirky and comfortable, the Cuckoo Cocktail bar is a must go to when we visit Welllington. Staff are always friendly and helpful with suggestions if you need them. Not being great alcohol drinkers we requested a Lime and Bitters drink for a hot day when we needed refreshment. It was a great โcocktailโ for a pair of oldies. Ever thoughtful, Cuckoo not only provides water and glasses on a mobile drinks trolley but sun protection creams from push top dispensers to encourage customers to protect themselves from UV when the sun is strong. We can either sit inside to avoid the sun or outside in comfortable armchairs in the shade. We have spent many hours relaxing here to imbue the ambiance of Wellington and Kiwis.

This is a cool little bar, decorated a bit like granny's front room and the same cosy feel. I asked for something not on the menu, they made it and they made it well, the sign of a great cocktail bar!
Be the first to ReplyHome comfortable, a hidden waterfront gem
We had a family brunch, and it felt like "home". Comfortable sitting areas, most helpful staff, and nibbles that are suitable for something light. The BIG sandwich was excellent. Excellent range of healthy teas, served in good old fashioned teapots. A good place to relax for this time of a busy midweek , ie between 11.00am and 1.00pm.
