The pastas were all home made, the super Tuscan on the wine menu was fantastic and a nice time was had by all.
Be the first to ReplyThis is my absolute go-to spot when I want good Italian
This is my absolute go-to spot when I want good Italian food in the city. Myself and my cousin dined here last night. It's usually pretty busy, but yesterday was extra busy, mainly because it's graduation season. Although we had a little bit of a wait, it wasn't bad at all. In terms of the food, I had the spaghetti bolognese. It was superb! My cousin had the gnocchetti di patate with shrimp. Again, scrumptious. Now the only thing that was a little off putting was the rushed service. It's usually never like this when I've gone, so that's why I'm maintaining the 5 stars. But last night was a little different. We were chatting after eating, and we felt like we were being rushed to finish eating, rushed to have desert, and then rushed to pay. I won't hold them to this, cause it could have been a one off situation. But otherwise, I definitely recommend dining here.

Incredible meal, Tatiana was excellent!! Super cute restaurant with great ambiance. We got the cavatelli and the parpadelle
Be the first to ReplyThe ambiance here is amazing.
We got lucky with nice weather so we got to sit outside and enjoy the string lights and flowers. The food here was a 6/10. Nothing to write home about. The gnochetti was unfortunately very one note, and the sauce just tasted like thickened cream, barely a whisper of Gorgonzola. I had to salt mine pretty heavily to make the dish come to life at all, because of the blandness. Service was standard. Nice enough. There was twice when they took our dishes/drinks when we weren't finished and moved away too fast to hear us say we weren't done, lol.
Be the first to ReplyFirst off, our server was fantastic.
I wish I remembered her name to share. The right amount of attentiveness and went the extra mile a couple times. We ordered the Caesar salad, wine plate, and I got the pappardelle. My pasta was so good- highly recommend. The restaurant is also really cute. Definitely a nice local restaurant or a cute date spot. Also good for tourists.

Cute nice and cozy atmosphere when you walk in. We ordered the veal ravioli and also carbonara and both were excellent plates of food. Plus the drinks were very delicious.

2.5 The host was very helpful and accommodating for our large group of 8. The food was incredibly mid. Like very mediocre Italian food. Our waiter was also very rude. Didn't make eye contact when we asked questions even. The appetizers were okay but nothing stood out. Same with the entrees. Nothing to write home about. Would not come back.
Be the first to ReplyEnjoy the food- tight spacing.
The service was nice. The ambiance was sort of loud as the table next to us was basically on to p of us, but the food was well worth it and would go again for a dinner of 2 not a large group because of the spacing.
Be the first to Replydelicious food, even with a reservation we had to wait
delicious food, even with a reservation we had to wait about 45 minutes, service was incredible and my water was always full :) not too noisy
Be the first to ReplyWe enjoyed a girls brunch here.
Started with a margarita flatbread which was very thin and delicious. Then all of us got different pastas: Gnocchetti al Pomodoro, Cavatelli alla Bolognese, Pennette con Salmone (not fishy at all), and Parpadelle. All were good. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The live music was also a nice touch.

This restaurant is quite small and crowded but it does have amazing customer service and good food. I loved the octopus and the pork chops but was disappointed with the beet salad in terms of taste and presentation. Drinks were good as well. Our waiter was amazing. Be prepared to sit elbow to elbow to another party whether you sit inside or outside.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food, amazing staff!! Everyone was so nice.
We ordered our drinks and food at the same time. Our food came out before our drinks - about 5 minutes! The pasta dishes were delicious! Everything tasted so fresh.

With how many good Italian spots there are in NYC, I came in with high expectations considering the price point. We were seated inside, and the ambiance inside was quaint and inviting. In my opinion, the service was a bit lacking as we waited particularly long for our food and felt that our server forgot we were there. We both decided to get the porcini mushroom/ricotta spinach ravioli, which was bursting with flavor and a definite crowd-pleaser. That being said, for $26, I definitely expected bigger portions.

Came on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm with a group of 3, and was able to be seated immediately. Both service and ambiance throughout the meal was spectacular. It was dimly lit, there was a band playing live music, and the atmosphere would have been great for a date night. Service was attentive and fast. I ordered the Fettucine al Tartufo. Soon after ordering, the waiters brought over a bowl of delicious bread and olive oil. The pasta didn't really stand out for me - the noodles were a tad over cooked and the sauce was a bit lacking on salt/flavor. Nothing was bad by any means, just not worthy of a five star dish for me. Could've just been an off day or bad selection on my part but I'd be happy to come back and have another meal!
Be the first to ReplyCute little place nearby the exhibit we came to visit.
Late lunch/early dinner. Service was attentive with water and bread brought as we were sat. The food was very good, although the polenta was more white and creamy. Tasty but seemed off. What I didn't like: $17 for tiny drinks was a bit expensive. Too much hovering of staff. Felt rushed and we visited late afternoon when it was empty.
Be the first to ReplyThe beautiful entry is inviting.
We were immediately greeted and seated quickly. It's a small space but still cozy and comfortable. Every bite was delicious! And the espresso martini was perfect.

We were visiting from California and wanted Italian food for my birthday dinner we made reservations in advance we arrived early and got seated at exactly our time scheduled the food was amazing and drinks were just as tasty my favorite was the filet mignon wow that dish alone makes me want to book another flight to have this dinner all over again all the staff was exceptional thank you for creating such a beautiful dinner for us to remember
Be the first to ReplyThe most overrated restaurant I've been thus far in nyc
The most overrated restaurant I've been thus far in nyc Food: nothing special and just not good imo...overall very bland taste profile, and not flavorful at all. I got the chicken breast entree, which was nothing special....the worst was that appetizer that's apparently one of the most popular dishes... and boy was I disappointed the cheese was powdered and therefore had no taste... the bread was so hard, and when you put tasteless cheese with dry Af bread together....it's literal disaster Ambiance: very cute (probably the only thing they have going) Service: descent Overall: SAVE YOUR MONEY, and go somewhere else, cuz this place is not it. I usually don't feel this strongly- negatively about a place, but clearly I was gravely disappointed

I came here with 4 other people for a group dinner on Saturday night and the food, service, and ambiance was amazing. I would totally go back and I highly recommend this for both a date night but also a group dinner.
Be the first to ReplyHad a pleasant date night at Da Andrea with delicious
Had a pleasant date night at Da Andrea with delicious Italian 3 course meal, selection of wine, and pleasant ambiance of flowers and candles. My partner and I love Italian food and saw that the restaurant is a must-go for a pasta lovers. We made a reservation a week prior, so definitely recommend making one before showing up as lunch and dinner hours can get pretty packed both indoors and outdoors. Although the service was somewhat slower than preferred, the food and our waiter made up for it :) we ordered tigelle with prosciutto and Parmesan cheese which is a round bread with an outer crunch and soft in the inside. Like a fancier English muffin for reference lol. Basically, you take the tigelle and throw slices of prosciutto and some cheese and bite. It was delicious! The main course we shared the spaghetti bolognese (spaghetti was so gourmet and sauce was perfectly seasoned) and stuffed chicken with ham, spinach, cheese, and outer puff in a gravy sauce. We also shared 2 glasses of Sauvignon blanc and apple tart topped with vanilla bean ice cream which was so buttery and sweet! Overall, excellent meal and highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyDa Andrea is da best! The meal started off on the right
Da Andrea is da best! The meal started off on the right foot with potentially the best complimentary bread I've ever had - it was so soft and was baked with herbs in it, which have it a sophisticated herbal flavor. All the pasta is made fresh daily in-house, and I could taste the high quality in the Pappardelle that I ordered ($26). The pasta was a nice chewy consistency and the sweet sausage ragu had large chunks of sausage and was very classic and tasty. I also tried the Cavatelli Di Ricotta ($25), which was delicious as well. The pesto sauce was high quality and the pasta itself was fresh and made with ricotta, so it was sort of creamy. They even fully peeled the shrimp in the pasta, which was a plus (the pasta also had salmon chunks). For dessert, I ordered the Tiramisu ($11), which was creamy and delicious. The berries were a nice addition to the dessert to give it a bit more sweetness to complement the coffee flavor in the tiramisu. To drink, I got the Daiquiri Alla Pesca ($17), which had a fruity citrus flavor and was tasty as well. The interior had a lively atmosphere with lots of customers on a Sunday night, but it wasn't too loud to comfortably have conversations at normal volume. The exposed brick walls give it a warm, classic vibe. The service speed was quick and the staff were very friendly, attentive, and helpful. There is plenty of indoor seating and also some nice outdoor seating.Overall, Da Andrea is definitely one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to in NYC. It is a tad pricey, but in my opinion, very much worth it, and I think you will feel the same way if you enjoy delicious Italian food.
Be the first to ReplyMediocre food and poor service.
The food was shockingly bad. The waiter dropped pepper in my tea and was nonchalant about it. Not sure how this has 4.5 stars. This is a tourist spot that likely games their yelp scores

We had a great evening here! For appetizers, I reccomend the beef carpaccio. It was very fresh and the dressing was delicious. I had the spaghetti carbonara as a main and the handmade pasta is a must try. Ambiance inside is warm and cozy, but looking forward to sitting outside next time when the weather is warm!
