cashier wasn't that bright.
asked for a large combo 8. she didn't understand what that meant. brought my food out and left the cup behind. terrible listening skills.

..unfortunately, I will NOT return to this franchise in Ferndale. The last (3X), I ordered a bucket of fries, they were soggy/greasy & limp - not hot /crispy & straight as any other fries ANYWHERE, I have been in 20 yrs. The oil is NOT hot enough, or dropping to many orders to fast, or sitting to long. I have been purchasing fries for over 50 years. I have spoken to management, and employees' and always told the same answer - yet the fries are still the same. Hopefully this reaches the owner(s), and this issue will be thoroughly investigated.

This occurred 5/4/2022 at about 7:10pmWe ordered two cheeseburgers with ketchup and mayo but received burgers with only mustard and pickles. We came back within 5 min of receiving our order and we're treated in a very rude manner. Miscommunications happen, that's fine and understandable. The person taking orders at the drive thru was polite and said they had misheard the order thinking we asked for no ketchup and mayo. They went to get the manager. This is when things went downhill. His behavior was unacceptable and his manner was rude and combative throughout. After politely repeating the situation to him - seriously, all we said was "I think there was a miscommunication, we ordered 2 cheeseburgers with only ketchup and mayo but received 2 cheeseburgers with only mustard and pickles" and we were treated to a mini-lecture on the default cheeseburger toppings. Then he said in a reluctant manner that he would replace the burgers, but in the future we needed to phrase our orders a specific way to get the correct meal. Personally, I think ordering 2 cheeseburgers with only ketchup and mayo is clear enough, but what do I know? None of the other DQs I've ever ordered from have found it confusing - this is our standard order and it has never been messed up before. So we drove to the window. The manager was there, didn't say hi, no greeting. Just a harsh "do you have the receipt?" I responded that we were neither given nor offered one, but that I had the burgers if he needed to see them. We have never once been asked to provide the faulty food to prove an order was messed up. Maybe this is because we so rarely ask for fixes, but I'm pretty sure it's standard practice to believe the customer unless they give you a reason not to - and "my order is wrong" usually doesn't count. He said he wanted to see them. He proceeded to check both in front of us. We hadn't taken a single bite out of either burger. I can't imagine how he would have responded if we didn't realize the mistake till after taking a bite! He threw each in the trash as he went (which is fair, but the way he did it felt aggressive). In a very polite tone I said something along the lines of "I'm not trying to scam you, I just want the right order" and he said nothing, just stalked over to where they shout orders and asked for our burgers to be made. Despite saying he'd give us the correct order at the menu radio, he had literally waited for proof that we had received the wrong burgers before making it right. We didn't even mention that the fries were so salty that they were nearly inedible. As I said, we really hate requesting fixes to our orders. We literally scraped off the salt to eat them instead. This is not a Dairy Queen we go to frequently. So we aren't regulars known for complaining or sending food back. They don't know us at all. There was absolutely no reason to treat us as though we were scamming them. If we were frequent complainers always asking for replacement food and keeping the originals or always trying to get replacements for burgers that we had already eaten, I would understand more. But this was literally the first time we've asked for an order correction on a order we get all the time. It was entirely unnecessary to treat us like crooks. We felt profoundly insulted and will never go back to this location again.

Today not so friendly actually a bit rude, if I am talking too fast ask me to speak slower don't get rude. Some of the food was fresh some not as much, still fast.

I don't know who took over management here but as you walk into the restaurant it smells so bad in here. Like someone hasn't showered in over a year...that bad. The tables don't look that sanitary but the food tastes fine. Doesn't make the food that appetizing when BO is all you smell

Ordered inside as we were towing travel trailer. Our order was taken quickly and the store was busy. I stood and waited for our order.I watched as the store crew took orders and took them out to customers inside. Not so bad except many were to customers than came in after us. I saw my salad come up quickly. The burger that was ordered finally came up and it, along with my salad, that sat near the warming lights, were taken to the wrong table.After expressing my discontent, they finally made the Blizzards that were also ordered. After 20 minutes, returned to our truck to eat. The core of the head if lettuce was in my salad. One Blizzard was the wrong size.Won't return. The manager's weak attempt at an apology by stating, "sorry about that" didn't add to what was less than a great experience.

The people are so friendly and accommodating. Good choice of burgers, chicken and fish strips, and of course ice cream. Lots of parking available and right off Hwy 5.

I used to absolutely LOOOOOOVE this DQ!!! They used to have the utmost best Blizzards, in my opinion the gold standard for all Blizzards. But something happened to them in the past year. The Blizzards are not as tasty, were sort of soupy and the ENTIRE restaurant smelled of a toilet!! I felt so sad as this was once a great place. Sadly, after that horrible smell and erosion of quality Blizzards, I think I will be avoiding this DQ in the future.
