Not just the best pizza in LA, but they have outstanding specials and the desserts are amazing. There is an eggplant sandwich that I'm still trying to figure out how it was so good!!! Each bite was so delicious. You can the food is made with LOVE. Also, there is a feeling of family when you walk in here. Love this place

Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and this place is near Little Tokyo. Ambiance was nice. Staff was alright but docking 2 stars for the 20% gratituity surcharge even though we ordered ourselves at the counter. All they did was bring the food out. We did have a big group but we could have easily figured out the seating ourselves. So the fried eggplant sandwich easily came close to $20 after the fee and taxes. To be fair, the sandwich was big and tasty at $13. Very savory with the slight kick of the spicy aioli sauce. But not worth it after it became $17 after their surcharge. The food also came out really slow, more than 15 minutes when I was one of the first to order.

First time dining here and was a little confused on how ordering works, because it's not your typical restaurant where you sit down and someone comes to take your order. You actually get seated first, but to order, you go up to the cashier at the counter where you place and pay for your order. But they will bring the food to your table afterwards. The table we got seated at was pretty small. Luckily, everything we ordered did not come out at the same time or else we wouldn't have had enough room for all the plates. We also felt rushed to quickly clear a plate when another dish came out to make room. We ordered: Whipped eggplant (3/5) - originally was not going to order this but saw every table had this so decided to try it out. I actually was not a fan of this because it tasted kind of flavorless. Also the amount of focaccia they gave was so little compared to the amount of dip we got. Bluefin tuna tartare (3/5) - also was not a fan of this dish. It didn't really taste fresh. Caesar salad (4/5) - tasted a little bit too sour. The portion is huge though and definitely sharable. Market pizza (5/5) - forgot what the special was that we ordered because tbh I couldn't really hear the cashier but this pizza was really good! It was well flavored and they did not skimp on the toppings. Probably would not come back because this place is pretty pricey for what they serve.

When you're charging above average prices and asking for 20% or more tip up front, you should be delivering above average food with above average service. When that doesn't happen, customers have no recourse but to come to these review pages and express their dissatisfaction. You have a nice spot with great outdoor seating but everything else was so disappointing.

Cute spot in the Arts District! I came out here on a Wednesday evening to celebrate my friend's birthday. We made a reservation for a big party on the outside patio. Thankfully the outdoor patio has heated lamps at the tables. The service was excellent, friendly, and attentive. We were able to store our outside cake at the restaurant (for a fee). I tried their margarita drink to start and our group ordered a deal that gets pizza plus a wine bottle to share. For the pizzas, I tried the margarita and pepperoni (really tasty but kind of small slices to share). Overall, great experience and atmosphere.

Some things on their menu are fairly priced, but other things make this a very expensive restaurant to eat. We ordered two pizza's and a salad. The margarita pizza was good, but the pepperoni pizza was awful. I don't know if it was the pepperoni, the cheese they used, or both but I couldn't eat it. We ordered the caesar salad and it was good, but the lettuce they used and the dressing were very different from any caesar salad I've ever had before. I wish they would have stated in the menu that this was their version of a caesar so that I could have asked what that meant. We got martini's with Tito's and they charged $20 for each one which is ridiculous. I've never paid more than $16 for a tito's martini and it's usually much less than even that. Their valet cost us $19 plus tip. Again, I've never paid that much for valet. Then to top it off, they charged us a "benefits surcharge." This extra charge was not listed on the menu, they just added it at the end without any warning. In my opinion that is taking advantage of customers. I expect the price I see on the menu to be the cost of each item, but it's not, they add a surcharge making the cost more than shown in the menu, and so we won't be back. I won't give business to any restaurant that does this. All expenses should be represented in the price of each item, not added later with a surprise surcharge. Bottom line, this is a VERY expensive place to park and eat for just ok food.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious focaccia pizza.
I love the flavor varieties. Make sure to check out their special pizza flavor for the day. My favorite is the white pizza and add sausage! Super yum. Salads are absolutely delicious too. Have had the Caesar and the beet salad. the vibes are immaculate. This is a great place to go on a date night or a girls night. Been here many times and never been disappointed!

I was excited for this pizza as the menu and pics sounded good, but was disappointed. I tried a margarita with Calabrian chilis (nonna style) and hot honey on the side, and the white pizza. Both were relatively bland and drenched in oil! I don't think my hands have ever been this oily after eating pizza. Overall, the pizzas were just ok, for some reason just lacking in flavor, and very oily. I definitely prefer prince street pizza, which has much more flavor in the sauces!

Be the first to ReplyWow the food was so yummy and the staff amazing.
I'm not going to go into the food of it all as there are tons of that here for you to see, and yes it is really really good.First: Make RESERVATIONS if you are trying to get a dinner as it books out at least 1 week out. This is kinda the reason only 4 instead of 5 stars, but there was a silver lining. Read below :)B: I want to complement some of the staff. Tori & Ryan were who we were greeted by as we came in to the patio. So polite and great energy; especially when Tori asked me about reservations LOL She was so sweet when I said I didn't have any and let me know on a Friday night at 6p it would have been a 2 hour wait. She really was amazing in helping me to get a to go order and even tried to double check if we could get a table. While we waited for the Lee one of the manager it seems, came and talked to me and was kind as well about the wait. So we ordered to go, and then I went back to get drinks, as I had forgotten to. There then was a misunderstanding that led to us having to eat it all there somewhere and Lee made it happen.III: I would finish with just such a hip cool place, but for me I will make reservations but more likely come for a lunch when I'm told its not too busy.
Be the first to ReplyService and vibes were great.
My partner and i got 2 pizzas and 1 Cesar salad. Perhaps it would've been better just to get one to share. The pepperoni with a side of spicy honey was really good. I'm not much of a fan of the Margherita pizza because it tasted more like olive oil, but my partner liked it so it's more about preference. The frozen spritz was really good. Would come again, but just to share one pizza because it does fill you up despite how small it looks.

I'm not whether it was TikTok over hyping this place up or just the really good reviews I've seen but this place was a disappointment. What I ordered:Mushroom pizza - While it was good, it was just wya too thick and you don't find yourself wanting to go back to it. The bread is just too overpowering and not good enough to carry the pizza. There was also a ton of Parmesan that made it almost inedible. I had leftovers and didn't take it home. Burrata- it was good but nothing special. The bread it came with was just ok. Frozen spritz - I liked this but not enough to make me come back. All in all it was a very meh meal. I think if you order a bunch of things and share, you might not be disappointed. I think a 1/4 of the pizza would've been more than enough for me and didn't need to be a meal. As for parking, you either take your time and fight off traffic around the Arts District or pay the $18 for valet which I did. It's a cool spot, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back.

Besides how great the food and ambiance is, I have to highlight the service more. Long story short - I accidentally tipped over 100% of my bill (I'm an idiot). I called to see if I could get a refund for it, fully accepting the possibility of it not being possible. The owner answered and graciously refunded me the money, no questions asked. We laughed about it and I repaid the bill with an appropriate tip amount. He totally could have said no and I would have accepted that, but he was understanding and easygoing. Will definitely be back to the restaurant with this kind of service!
Be the first to ReplyIt's a cool concept and I love the graphics and menu.
But I wasn't in love with the pizza. They do have some interesting flavor combinations, but I felt the pizza was sort of bland, they all were, regardless of flavor combination. We ordered the sausage and peppers, white, marg and pepp pizzas. One thing that's a bit deceiving is the size of the pizzas. Basically you get 4 slices out of each pizza for $18. If you like eating a lot of pizza, you may have to order a lot. It's not cheap, and also the focaccia is light, so not super filling.

Looking for great pizza and a Frozen Apperol Spritz? De La Nonna is your girl. Unless you have a reservation for a table, be prepared to sit at the bar. The DJ plays until 10 ( until he moves next door to Let's Go). The hostesses were not super friendly but the chefs making the pizza were very friendly and checked in with us. We ordered one white pizza (the sweet potatoes weren't cooked all the way) and one pepperoni with the spicy honey on the side. The pep was a favorite and perfectly crusted on the sides. 2 pizzas & 2 drinks for $80. A little overpriced if you ask me!
Be the first to ReplyI'd one hundo go here again.
Everyone here from the hostess to the person at the register to our servers were so incredibly nice and attentive. Pizza was great (big fan of the melted cheese on the side) and I thought reasonably priced. There were 5 of us and we were able to split multiple pizzas + apps. Apps were good but a bit overpriced for the portion and maybe too small to split amongst 5 people. All the pizzas were good, the white pizza of the day in particular was pretty amazing. My buddies had cocktails and they all enjoyed their drinks and I had a cappuccino, it was quite good.As a side note, I genuinely thought the vinyl DJ and entire vibe of De La Nonna place was better than their new bar "Let's go Disco". Totally get when people say they go there and the disco isn't really what they're anticipating...it was... different and not in a fun way :) I'd rather just hang at De La Nonna with the DJs spinning there, they got some killer music taste across the board. That being said it's cool you can bring your drinks from Let's go Disco to De La Nonna, so if you gotta kill time and wait for a table might as well grab a drink at their new bar til your table is ready, that's what we did.
Be the first to ReplyCame here on a Saturday night.
Reservations were easy online, so I didn't have to wait. I couldn't find metered street parking, so went to a structure in Little Tokyo, which was a 10-minute power walk away. Be advised that if you choose street parking, this area is right next to Skid Row.Inside, the place had a cute ambience - a bit kitschy, a bit vintage, but also a touch aesthetic with wicker basket lighting, plants, and string lights for the outdoor patio seating. Our party of two tried different red wines after asking servers for recommendations based on taste. I don't remember what we got, but they were served in short soda glasses, which was fun.PIZZAS ORDEREDI don't typically go for Sicilian-style pizza, but the dough was great: crispy, chewy, and bready, but not dense. - Roasted Mushroom ($19). My favorite of the two. Earthy, chock full of mushrooms and fresh dill. The herb pairing was smart. - Sausage and Peppers ($19). Sausage was okay. The fennel pollen was more of an accent rather than a flavor. What was the pepper? The pizza tasted good, but like I could also get it somewhere else.

Finally got to try this place and it did not disappoint! We started off with the Caesar salad and the eggplant caponata. Salad was light but flavorful and the eggplant was crispy and spicy but sweet. Really good flavors. We finished off with 2 pizzas the marg and the pep with some spicy sauce on top. I really enjoyed the pizzas. Sauce was really good and I liked the middle bites of the pizza. The dough was crispy and light as well but bit too much on some bites. Also tried some drinks. Overall a good place to have dinner. Services was great! Though not sure about the fact that we need to get up and order at the front. I like to ask questions and it's not that great up at the front. Ambience was nice! I like the decorations. Little dark but I don't mind. But it's definitely on the pricey side. Expect to spend like 40$ per person or so.

Pizza was alright, imagine a specialty version of a frozen Digiorno with the super burnt crusts and that's this place. Prices didn't make sense and was way to expensive, ended up spending almost $80 on a small pizza and a glass of wine when we were told by the server it would be half of that but oh well. I dig the ambiance though, super cool vibes inside and outside. All in all I've had better pizza elsewhere for cheaper with just as great vibes so I probably wouldn't come back here unless for a birthday or something

Such a great vibe! Food was delish, loved the Cesar salad and deep dish pizza, went in a rainy day, the hostess accommodated us quick. The DJ was off the hook with Italian compilation, I give it a 10/10
Be the first to ReplyLets just call it what it is a highly over priced pizza
Lets just call it what it is a highly over priced pizza parlor. I don't recommend it for large groups as far as food goes because the appetizers are small meaning 2 people the scallop auguchiles are a couple spoonfuls no chips just a tiny bowl not worth the price the whipped eggplant was good but also small portion. The pizza had some good flavor but also very burnt around the edges which threw everything off, we wanted to eat to get full but it wasn't enough for our group of 7 we ordered a lot of food but we ended up eating tacos after. They add gratuity automatically to the bill which I didn't like because what if the service is bad I always tip but tip accordingly. Its worth a shot if its just you and your significant other food is good enough to give a try.
Be the first to ReplyNon traditional pizza, more like a focaccia but good.
We had d pepperoni pizza with spicy honey along with d Cesar's salad, the salad was just OK, it's suppose to be really good!We sat outside in a garden setting with Edison lights with plenty of heat lamps which was good on a cold night. Valet parking is a little steep at $18. We found street parking! I think de la Nonna is more about d vibe than food even though the food is good! The only downside is dealing with downtown traffic which I'm not a big fan of. Overall good but wouldn't rush to return!
