The food and the service were outstanding! We ordered the cucumber salad, chicken xiao long bao, garlic green beans, the chicken spicy wontons, black pepper beef tenderloin, and the braised beef soup. Every item was out of the park delicious! Can't wait to return!

Love Din Tai Fung, been going for years all around the world. The food is consistent and clean, the service is above average, and it's really the only soup dumpling place around. The only twinge is the price, it's easily going to cost over $100 for two.

it was our first time at this restaurant! it was busy but, everyone seemed to be in a good flow, the wait wasn't tooo long. The customer service from our server to the bar back (David I think), made this experience worth a review! thank you David! your attentiveness to our table needs went above and beyond during one of your busier times. thank you thank you! Great martinis by the way! check em out.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant and was not really sure what to order. However, I engaged in a conversation with David the young man cleaning a table next to me and he suggested several food and drink options. He was honest and helpful. His knowledge helped me choose the right noodle option and sold me on the lychee martini. Every time he cleaned in my area he was funny and very engaging. I will definitely return for the food and drinks but David really made my experience more enjoyable. Craig S

Some of the finest Dim Sum you'll eat! The prices can be a little high but the quality of the food and the service more than make up for it. I as really excited when they build one at the Century city mall!!

For me Din Tai Fung is a 5 across the board at this location. Service was EXCELLENT start to finish. We ate lots of food and it was all good. Also I love how clean the Century City mall is. Reservations definitely weren't very easy to get for a Sunday afternoon so if you're able to get a nifty slot, I would hop on that because usually it's limited windows.

Din Tai Fung is a Taiwanese restaurant chain located around the world. This one was located in the Westfield mall at Century City. It's very modern and has a beautiful view if you're seated near the window wall. Make sure to make a reservation at least a week in advance; we somehow snagged a same day reservation at 6:30pm for 3 on a Saturday night (which is nearly impossible). The service is always fast and up to standard. They have a restaurant available as well. Overall, ambiance and service was good. Food We ordered the famous xiao long bao, beef noodle soup, spicy chicken wontons, noodles with minced pork, chicken fried noodles, chocolate xiao long bao, and the lychee boba. Each dish ranges from around $12-$20 and the portions aren't the biggest but are shareable. Price per portion is slightly more expensive. This specific time we went, we felt that the xiao long bao didn't have as much soup as usual. The rest of the dishes were okay but we would say skip the chicken fried noodles. Overall, Din Tai Fung is great for a night out but there's definitely better Taiwanese food you can get in LA. Overall: 4.2 The ambiance + service: 4.5/5 The food: 4/5 The price: $$$

Made reservations and got there earlier but we were seated within 10 minutes. The food and drinks were so good! We were satisfied with the food!!! The only thing I do want to poorly rate is the service! Unfortunately our server was NOT attentive to our table at all! We noticed he continuously serviced the tables around us but not ours. We had to wave him down as he passed by our table. He never once came to ask us if we needed anything after we were done eating at which point we wanted dessert and we waved him down for that too. At one point he brought us our check when we were not even done with our dessert and we asked him for two more drinks because he saw our empty glass but never came to ask us if we needed more drinks. For the amount I'm paying for the food we should be able to sit there and enjoy it and not feel rushed out. The food was good but will not be returning to this location at least!
Be the first to ReplyOrdered online for pickup ASAP.
Got a text message faster than the estimated 20 min that pickup was ready. Service and packing was impeccable . . . despite a crowd of people waiting to dine . . . walked by all of them to pick up our neatly packed food. Food was hot and delicious! We love Din Tai Fung!

The dim sum is good but I felt disappointed after waiting over 30minutes to get in. I also felt it was over priced.

When we first entered the restaurant yesterday we had been seated in a section of the back which was a bit hidden from servers and so it took some time for our server to actually find us. Once they did, the service was impeccable, there may have been a minor hiccup with ordering a drink (ordered a tea with boba, and got one without) but it was quickly rectified. Nathan's service was amazing and it made our dinner. As far as food goes, the shrimp fried rice was extremely good and the truffle & pork dumplings + the chicken dumplings were great too. Thanks for a nice dinner.

This place was recommended to me by a local friend of mine, so after settling into my new place I went with a couple of friends to check it out. We waited about an hour for a table, which I was told was pretty standard, so I had high hopes that it would be a good experience. The restaurant looked really nice and was very clean. The atmosphere was very inviting - I really liked the lighting! When we finally got a table, our server was John and he took great care of us. Super friendly and engaging, but not overbearing. Since this was my first visit, John made some great recommendations. The pork bao was particularly good! We really enjoyed our time there and would definitely go back. Hopefully we'll get the same server the next time we go! :)

Dim sum made a huge comeback with this Michelin star Chinese restaurant must try this extravaganza of greatness. Walk ups take an hour to two hour, so pre-advance your reservation on OpenTable a day or two ahead or else I'll be a shit show A+++

We had been planning on coming after being recommended by several friends. We went for lunch on a Friday afternoon. We had made a reservation and they accommodated us by getting us in a little early. The servers were all very friendly, knowledgeable, and the place was clean. Once in, you do have to order everything at the same time. Everything was pretty good, but it is definitely pricey. I also felt like you do had to eat everything right away, because after a few minutes when the food cooled off, it just wasn't that great anymore. Would go again.

Din tai fung (DTF) has managed to stay in the top slot on our special rotation despite expanding to multiple locations. Each kid can put away ~10 juicy pork dumplings (JPDs) which are like WMDs (weapons of mass deliciousness) detonating in your mouth. The bite to value ratio is exceptionally high. The pork fried brown rice is very good. Well done DTF well done. P.S. get the milk tea with boba in a Togo cup

Located inside the famous fancy mall, Din Tai Fung does not disappoint with its gourmet menu of tastiness. We traveled to LA and this is our second time at a different location. This one offered the similar options and the same awesomeness of soup dumplings. If you are visiting DTF for the first time, some of my favorites are pork soup dumpling and and sweet ribs. Of course we ordered everything and more from our photos but you can't go wrong with even jus those two choices. Enjoy!
Be the first to ReplyFood took 25 min to come out after our app.
The short rib app was delicious. The crab soup dumplings lacked flavor / seasoning & not very soupy. The garlic greens were fresh & tasty.

Pretty delicious. But the server said he'd course the food. Not. It all came out within two minutes of each other and was totally overwhelming. Everything got cold too soon. I couldn't eat fast enough!

I would like to start off by noting that the service was fantastic and the ambiance was very nice. The food overall was good, but did not hit my expectations. The xiaolongbaos had barely any soup and essentially no different than a normal dumpling. My group of 4 ordered 5 stacks of the xlb because the xlb were not filling. Each one was very small. The cucumber salad appetizer was bland and did not have the hit of flavor we were hoping for. We also ordered the spicy wontons and the green beans, they are a must try and I highly recommend.

OMG, Din Tai Fung is the absolute bomb! This Taiwanese restaurant chain is seriously next level, and you gotta check it out ASAP! The steamed dumplings are out of this world, I swear I could eat them every day for the rest of my life and never get tired of them. The wrappers are so thin and delicate, and the fillings are bursting with flavor. And don't even get me started on the boba tea, it's like a party in your mouth! The atmosphere at Din Tai Fung is totally chill and modern, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. They even let you watch the chefs make the dumplings, which is so cool. I could seriously hang out at this place all day and eat my weight in dumplings and boba tea.If you're a fan of Asian food, you gotta hit up Din Tai Fung. Trust me, you won't regret it. It's like a taste of Taiwan right here in [insert city name], and it's totally worth every penny. So what are you waiting for? Go get your dumpling fix now!

Food was average and the service wasn't the best kinda disappointed with all the hype behind this place
Be the first to ReplyI got here at 5:30pm to add my name to the list.
They told me at the front it would take 2-2.5 hours to get a table, no problem. I get back at 7:30pm they let me know they're running behind by 20 mins. I still haven't got a table by 9:00pm and they tell me that my original wait time was 2.5-3 hours and they're now running behind an additional 30-60 mins. The wait times were mismanaged and they took too many people on their wait list than they could have managed. Avoid this location
