Good place by the beach
Food is good. Outside tables by the beach give you the sense of South Florida. The combination of location, service, and food, make this place a good restaurant for dinner
Be the first to ReplyTerrible service but nice sommelier & good food
My wife and I went to Dune as we heard the food was excellent and had a great patio setting. The food was amazing and the setting was great as well. The service though was really bad. Our waitress was really nice but just not cut out to be a server. We sat in a booth and our wine was across the booth so it was awkward to keep getting up from the table to pour our wine. I waited for the waitress but after a long time shuffled around the table and poured our wine. This happened through our entire dinner as our waitress went missing . We also had a big mixup with the wine. Mondays is half off bottles of wine between 100 to 200 bottles. Nobody told us this which was frustrating. A big positive along with the food quality was Joey the Sommelier reaching out personally after the fact to rectify the situation.. That was appreciated ! We will come back and hoping for better service next time as the food really is excellent.

My wife and I come to the bar often. Always been very happy with service and food. Last time we were there, we were told we didn't need reservations for bar lounge area. We came with guests and took a booth next to bar, and was told by Maitre D, (Camilla) table needed reservations. We then moved to a lounge area outside. After having a drink, the wind was a little too much for us. Waitress was able to get table inside. I really wish Maitre D would have offered an alternative table from start. Not very accommodating.....Our server at the table was great. Everyone enjoyed thier food. I had a problem with my Stone Crabs.....no remoulade. Was given mayo, instead. Never ate Stone Crabs without remoulade, ever.. Didn't enjoy it!
Be the first to ReplyThe service is atrocious & the Sommelier is a very dishonest person
This is really unfortunate as the food was excellent but I know I'm not the 1st person to complain about the dishonest staff that work here, friends of ours had a similar experience. We went on a Monday night and were really excited as we heard the food and patio setting were great. Quite honesty both the setting and food were amazing. Our server was super nice but just not good at her job. I actually got up and served our wine during dinner as nobody came around. I was really interested in ordering some high end bottles of wine as it was a special occasion. When the sommelier came over I was shocked that he was talking me out of ordering some bottles that were in the $130 to $180 range. Weirdly he kept insisting we order a bottle that was just under 100 dollars. He also didn't know much about the wines on the menu just that we should order the bottle that was around 96 dollars. Later on the manager came over and apologized for the slow service. She then asked us how we were enjoying the 50% off wine Monday they were having. She told us all wine between 100 to 200 dollars were half price. I was really pissed off when she said this and I knew why the Sommelier was pushing us on the wine that was not part of the promotion. Why sell a bottle for half price when you can get full price. In his mind we are already there dinning so know need to sell a 150 dollar bottle for 75 when these suckers will drink a lesser bottle for 96 bucks. Anyways , total bad guy move. As much as we like the food and setting we won't go back a D support dishonest people.
Be the first to ReplySTAY AWAY! HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT
Horrible experience with the manager of the restaurant. My father had a $250 gift card that I gave him 2 years ago. The manager would not honor it saying it was now called Dune by Laurent not Dune by Auberge which was on the gift card. Same name, same location in the Auberge building but she couldn't figure out how to accommodate the customer. I told her, as the manager, she had the ability to make it right for her customer but she chose not to. She clearly should not be in a management position if she can't be empowered to do the right thing and wouldn't honor it. The customer is clearly not the priority here. Stay away
Be the first to ReplyValet Almost Ruined My Evening
Parking at the restaurant is $9 which is a surprise at this high end restaurant but the outrageous behavior of the valet at the counter was the inability to make change of a $20 bill for a tip because “one of his guys had the key to the lock box”. In addition the valet did not even suggest going back into the restaurant for change. Lastly the parking payment system is automated for payment by credit card but no ability to add a tip. If anyone chooses to go here use Uber or Lyft for convenience and better service.

We had high expectations when we arrived due to the environment being very welcoming and up with the times, however we were quickly disappointed. Whilst the steak that we ordered was lovely the rest of the food was sub optimal. The most disappointing part of the evening was the service this really left a lot to be desired and was really non existent we even had to keep getting up to pour our own prosecco which was on the other side of the table. All in all it was a very disappointing experience and one we would not want to repeat sadly.
Be the first to ReplyWarning!! Do not waste your money!! Terrible food and rude management.
Do not waste your money!! This was the worst experience we have ever had at what was supposed to be an upscale restaurant! The only thing upscale about it were the prices. We were fortunate that no one got sick from the fishy octopus. When we spoke to the manager (a French woman who obviously has spent too much time in the sun) we were treated disrespectfully. Even the drinks were sub par. I can’t say enough about how bad it was. The view was great but you can get that for free.

Excellent service and exquisite food made for a lovely evening. The fish mains were beautifully presented and delicious. The cocktails were excellent too. Due to a storm we sat indoors but this was no problem as the decor and fittings are all superb.

I was a big fan of your restaurant, after my first visit in February of this year. The reason I chose your restaurant at that time was for the great location, delicious food, and great decorations. It was these same reasons that made me choose your restaurant to celebrate my birthday last Saturday. Unfortunately, I had a bitter experience in your place. It all started when I arrived at the host area. The hostess at the front desk was cold, distant, and fake. She appeared to not hide her disdain upon my arrival. I arrived at the area and another group of women arrived at the same time. Instead of saying hello [and saying that she would be with me in a few minutes], the hostess turned her head toward the two women who arrived at the same time. I immediately backed off and waited for my turn. When the lady at the host area attended to me, I told her about my reservation which she found. She asked if I expected somebody else to join me which I confirmed. Afterward, she told me to wait for my party at the bar. I went to the indoor bar and sat down (at 6:44 pm) in the middle of the bar area where everybody could see me except for the bartenders [two Caucasians; one man and one woman] who should acknowledge my presence but decided to ignore me. I tried on several occasions to notify the bartenders after I found a menu on the counter and decided what drink to order. This occurred while I was waiting for my friend to join me for dinner. The bartenders ignored me yet they attended to other clients around me. I waited patiently for the bartenders to finish with the clients to ask them for the drink that I wanted to order but they ignored me. I started to feel uncomfortable and neglected. I looked around and noticed that everybody was Caucasian. I don’t usually complain about being discriminated against for my ethnicity, but something was wrong in that area that made me think that the bartenders [and other employees] didn’t want to serve me. After 10 minutes of attempting to get the bartender's attention, I finally raised my voice and called one of them. The female bartender approached me, without apologizing, and took my order quickly in a rushing matter. A minute after my friend arrived and we were escorted to our table, I felt relieved. At the same time, I never felt so much urgency to leave a place as that night at your restaurant. I just want to make this review for those who are interested in making this world [including South Florida] a place where everybody, [who can afford it], is able to enjoy nice places. This is a melting pot territory where everybody can enjoy an establishment [without regard to race and ethnicity] if they can afford it. I think if somebody doesn’t feel capable to accept that other races and ethnicities different than Caucasians can be at the same socioeconomic level as them, they should move back to those states that are a century behind when it comes to race [and ethnicity] relations. I felt that I wasted my beautiful and special birthday celebration in a place where some of the employees are racist.

From the moment you walk in the aesthetic is just so very beautiful. You are welcomed by hostesses, who generally are happy to see you. The beautiful bar and dining room-just magnificent. We were taken outside to a table that sat right out of the ocean. Happy smiles everywhere! Our server, Kaylee, the manager Francois could not have been more gracious. Every bite every sip was just delicious. The sushi was a 10/10! The flatbread, soufflé, grilled octopus, burger, shrimp scampi & key lime cheesecake all divine! We cannot wait to return.

We have been to Dune a few times. Beautiful ambience! Service was excellent (Robert). However, the food needs improvement! There are many dishes to choose from but there always seems to be something missing in the flavor or taste. The key lime cheese cake was blah, the key lime gelato was too tart. The crust was good and meringue was good. We have been to a few other “chef named restaurants” in the area and have not found them to be memorable. If you want ambience Dune is great. Appetizers and wine are a safe bet.
