Worst tasting chopped liver I ever had in my life.
Took a couple of bites and threw it out right away. Pluse the lettuce was wilted and the pickle was soggy. Disgusting. Will never go back to this place.

Where have you gone old Eisenberg's?New owners, new menu new prices. Gone are friendly prices (everything 80% or more higher), no more platters, no specials. New items more like diner, not deli. Can't call yourself a deli and not have deli food.Ordered 1/2 corned beef pastrami, got a Reuben instead. When final order came, it was too skinny to be called a proper deli sandwich. If I ever get a jones for pastrami or corned beef, I'll go anywhere else rather than here.Shame shame. I'll never come back.

I walked by today and got the urge to order a matzo ball soup as I hadn't been to Eisenberg's in years.... I paid $8.71 for a pint of soup with one big matzo ball, a couple of undercooked carrot chunks, and broth without any developed flavor, just a taste of dill. The only taste in this pint of soup is dill.

It is hard to decide between Eisenberg's near the Flatiron building and Katz's on the Lower East Side when it comes to choosing a personal favorite New York City deli, but what Eisenberg's has going for it is character. The Russian bookstore upstairs is long gone, but it is remarkable that this deli on the East side has remained and is still going strong after many years. The turkey sandwich I tried here was delicious.

My memories of Eisenberg's are from more than 20 years ago when I worked in Flatiron. Whenever I had a cold I would go pick up matzoh ball soup which was so velvety. It was the only thing I could eat that wouldn't hurt my sore throat. So delicious. I might be making this up but I thought the menu had it listed as "penicillin."

Love these bagels! Order ahead or be prepared for a long wait on the weekends. My go to is the everything bagel. Their cold brew is also super strong and delicious!

Surprised to see that as of writing this review that Eisenberg's only has 3.5 stars. This is a very good diner in a city where they are becoming more and more scarce.I've been to Eisenberg's at least 10 times and have good experiences each time. The restaurant has an old time diner feel and is narrow but at the same time not claustrophobic. I always at the counter and never have to wait long for one of the cooks behind the counter to take my order. They make the best egg creams here as it has the perfect amount of seltzer to give it that foamy head without diluting the chocolate taste. Breakfast here is great and filing as you can get eggs, a breakfast meat, potatoes, and toast for under $10. Additionally, their matzo ball soup is delicious and priced well compared to most other places in the city. Food always comes out in a timely manner and staff is courteous.I cannot recommend a better place for breakfast or diner food in the area than Eisenberg's.

I used to visit Eisenberg's every now and then and would bring visiting friends here too, but today was quite disappointing. I ordered an Eisenburger for $16 to go, and waited for over 30 minutes for the order. The last time I visited the burger came with fries (according to the menu), but this time I was not provided after I asked the manager. Furthermore, the buns on the "burger" was replaced with untoasted white bread. I understand that things are difficult during COVID-19, but this place really seemed to have dropped its standards and I will not be visiting again

I worked with Eisenberg's to coordinate a large sandwich donation to NYU Langone Hospital and they were amazing! They are such pleasant people and are easy to work. The sandwiches looked delicious and from what I heard from the healthcare workers, they tasted delicious too! I will definitely be ordering from them again.

As a huge fan of Eisenberg's for years, I recently used them to cater a thank you meal to my building's staff. Warren was so easy to work with and put together a beautiful delivery for us. The sandwiches were so delicious and everyone really enjoyed the treat. Can't beat Eisenberg's pastrami! Thank you guys for helping make the staff's day.

I really wanted to like this place, and my food (chicken salad sandwich) wasn't bad, but it was served without lettuce and tomato, unlike what the menu describes. Maybe it was just the waitress's oversight. But I'm disappointed. Also, the owner photos on this page include smoked salmon (which is what I went in for), but that's nowhere to be found on the menu.

Just. Come. I prefer the counter but they have ample seating in the back. What can I say... I feel as if I got in that Delorean with Doc and travelled back in time to when food was made with love and tenderness. The soups. The soups. The soups. Just wow. Gets you through these Winter days, I tell ya... Also, their sandwiches, TOP NOTCH. The friendliest of friendly staffs. A NY staple. JUST. COME.

The food is great - corned beef hash and eggs and grits, tuna melt especially but the service is atrocious. Beyond slow. Five stars for food and one star for service. It's slow even in the middle of the afternoon when nobody is there. Messy tables not cleared, either. They have a serious problem here.
