Lovely food but expensive.
Very expensive but still a lovely place with a very big range of food available (I was here for lunch). Service is great: very fast and staff all very friendly although there is a limit to how long you can spend.

The only positive was the attentive and polite staff. My 3rd visit in a month and very disappointed in the food each time, as the quality is well below average. My recommendation would be to give the seafood station a complete missโฆ
Be the first to ReplyOnly if you like Indian food
Not a big selection of food unless you like Indian ! Most of food was Indian , seafood choice was excellent , but the roast beef if you were not quick none left and not replenished ran out 1hour and 15 minutes with 45 minutes of lunch service to go , not a good look

We found this a disappointing experience and all because of the food. I don't think it was worth $105 per person. We tried all 3 types of roast meat - pork, beef and lamb and all 3 were so tough our knives wouldn't cut through so we gave up and left all the meat on our plates. Couldn't even find any Roast Potatoes to go with our Roast meat. The seafood was definitely very good and the prawns juicy and sweet. The restaurant itself is lovely, but incredibly busy and noisy. The staff are very attentive and friendly.

Went to this venue for a treat for our 20th anniversary. The seafood was really nice including lovely scallops. The hot roast food was mostly cold , even the Yorkshire pudding just put out fresh from the chef . Meat& veg was cold . Only thing hot was the gravy so was very disappointed in the roast . Plenty of choice for Asian/ curries and dessert . Overall for the price I would go to the atrium as the only difference I saw as Iโve been many times to the atrium was the scallops in this venue . I havenโt seen them in the atrium. It also cheaper in the atrium , so we wonโt be coming here again .

Be the first to Reply2 Star quality 3 star service at a 6 star price
We were really disappointed with the quality of the dishes presented. The choice and range of dishes was great but they just didn't meet the 5 star experience we were expecting. Both beef fillet and lamb roast were overcooked and ended up on a side plate in front of us as neither of us could eat it. The dim sum selection had been allowed to dry out . The prawn har gow resembled an undercooked pot sticker and the pork buns were stone cold. These ended up on the discard pile as well. We absolutely did not expect inedible food at a 5 star dining experience. We really feel our money would have been better spent at Rockpool or Nobu as both of these restaurants deliver exactly what they claim ,5 star cusine and service. We certainly won't waste our money at epicurean again.

Ate here midweek with the misses for an anniversary dinner. Restaurant maybe half full so so no lines for any of the food. Everything we ate was brilliant. I think I may have had one of everything and was pleased with every bite. Thereโs everything you could think of to please your tastebuds, salads, seafood, cheese, every meats you can think of, the ribs were bliss, the dessert were all top notch too. A pricey feed but worth every cent. I left very full and happy

What a great place to celebrate a family birthday! There is definitely something for everyone at the lavish buffet! The staff are very efficient at clearing plates and taking drink orders. All the food was delicious and frequently topped.

Been a few times to Epicurean and first time for Breakfast. Will be our last time, got there for 9:00am and was like a food hall. Too busy and full of screaming children. Waitresses were very good and was taken to very corner of the restaurant. Was a little shocked at the condition of the heavy chair. I should have taken a photo of it, was in terrible cracked condition, seat was all torn. You wouldn't even put that chair on a verge pick up. Only 1 variety of sausages and they were tuff, love my scrambled eggs and was dreadful. Like rubber with no flavour. Husband said bacon was not good and even the baked beans had a strange taste. Very poor breakfast. Won't go again.
Be the first to ReplyVast but expensive buffet
The quality and choice of food in the restaurant were both excellent. There was a huge variety of foods from all across the world laid out so you could eat as much as you wanted. We particularly enjoyed the fresh sushi and other fish dishes but the selection of meats and desserts was equally inviting. The staff were extremely helpful and explained everything to us but the restaurant is huge and was very busy. Given the huge number of diners and the rapid turnover it all seemed to be a bit too much of an exercise in conspicuous consumption. It was also expensive.

At first it looks amazing but it turned out to be an overpriced buffetโฆ unless you can put away 4-5 plates of food in less than 1.5 hours because you spend so much time lining up I wouldnโt bother. They split our pre booked table into 2 when it was a very special family gathering. Ended with arguing about us all paying separately because no one was going to put 2000 dollars onto their card! What a big fat disappointment epicurean. Seriously need to allow people to pay individually when in a group because it was embarrassing and ruined the end of our lunch.

You would have to be easily pleased to cue up to eat here. $1000 for 8 people This is just an expensive Zizzler, food was very CRAP ordinary and service was no good, ordered drinks and paid at the bar but was told to go back to our table and the staff would deliver the drinks. 20 minutes later the drinks Arrived. Donโt wast your money. You would be better off going to the food court to get better service and better food for 1 tenth of the price.

We had a booking 8-10 pm . 45 minutes after we were seated we were told they were closing at 9:30 . Food was already being wrapped . The pizza garlic bread were dry . There was a fair bit of food but poor quality . Wouldnโt go back especially at $90 each

I was very excited to have a nice night out at the Epicurean. We were booked for the early session which starts at 5:30. There was quite a queue to get in, so I would arrive a little early to make the most of the time you get. Standing in line turned out to be the theme of the evening. The cold section and seafood was good the scallops being a stand out. However to access the rest of the buffet you had to wait in line 10-15 min each time you wanted a plate. Either they need to book less people or redesign the buffet. Unfortunately on sitting down with my plate of hot food I discovered much of it was completely tasteless an (how creamy prawns can be that watery I have no idea) or just poor quality. The Yorkshire pudding tasted like a kitchen sponge and the gravy like nothing at all. The Indian/Asian selection was much better and had a few good dishes. The staff while polite, where run off their feet. No one cleared any of our plates away throughout the whole night and we were asked 15min before the buffet ended if we wanted a drink. Very expensive night for a poor experience.

A perfect celebration!! Beautifully presented (we went at Lunar new year so pink cherry trees and red lanterns everywhere) but the array of offerings, wow. Compliments to the chefs!

Ten of us enjoyed an evening of dining however the drinks Menu was VERY POOR. Some confusion on ques for food when the dessert section was in front of the heated food section so some signage would be good telling people where to stand for different sections. The Chinese Dragon show was excellent but quite loud. Score would have been a 5 if the beer and wine section was better

Nice large dining room but not enough staff for serving as we had to ask for our drinks order twice to be brought to the table. Food was good tho
Be the first to ReplyWork Xmas lunch
We had a Xmas lunch booking for all my work colleagues, many who had never been to epicurean before. The service was great for drinks, although Very slow to take away used plates. The food was really good although the choc fountain was not being used due to covid. The fact it had old chocolate in it bought down a classy restaurant to make it appear slightly dirty. Not a good look for someone who has never been here before. I do suggest the fountain get cleaned out until the fountain is in use again. The food itself was awesome and fresh as always. The lunch is as good as dinner and highly recommended. Booking is a must. Car parking is free once u get ur ticket verified by staff. All parking with the exception of the underground parking can be verified by reception staff.

Updated Novโ22 Due to the hecticness most likely, the oysters were not as fresh as previously when we dined there as part of our work celebration lunch on a Friday this year . Services and food spread were still good, but itโs important to keep the freshness of seafood. Updated Septโ22 Returned for a dinner experience during the Frozen musical play season. Still a wonderful spread with cold and hot dishes to suit most palate. The Singapore Chilli Crab was a tad salty but I like to commend that both the oyster and sashimi were fresh & delicious. They did run out of Chocolate icecream on the night, a sacrilege!! Service was good as the plates were cleared quite promptly, and our request for a Quieter table was granted too. At $98 Plus public holiday surcharge, it is worth the occasional indulgence. Decโ21 End of Year celebration lunch is always a hit at Epicurean. The classy ambience when you walked in, and the smell of the aromatic cuisine is sure to whet your appetite and kick start your rumbling tummy. There is a 2 hr sitting from 12-2pm. There is still a good selection of hot and cold food but it is noticeable that the range has somewhat reduced compared to previous years. Eg only chirozo, turkey and beef at the Carvery station, with no roast lamb, duck or pork from previous years. Also only one kind of oyster (South Australia) instead of 2 kinds. There is a plethora of decadent desserts as usual, and the waitstaff were all quite attentive to top up water glasses and clearing of plates. Our preferred buffet restaurant over Atrium buffet any day
Be the first to ReplyThe problem with buffetsโฆ
I watched a child of abuse 8, summarily and systematically pick up, lick, and then put back everything in one section of the buffet.
Yeah, nah, not for me.
Donโt bother
So off we went on a Sunday night for a special occasion. When I rang to book they advised it was 2 hour sitting and 6 pm was pretty full so I decided to go with the 8pm as we did not want to be rushed. On arrival at 8pm we ordered drinks in anticipation of what we thought would be a leisurely, relaxed meal. At 9.10 pm just after we had finished our main course we were asked if we would like a second drink, and were then advised that it would be our last as the bar was closing, I queried this as it was so early and we were under the impression it would be full service until at least 10pm but they said that was the rules and the restaurant would be closing soon too. So we all dashed up to get dessert only to find that lots of choices were already gone and the staff were already packing it away. Then the staff started to reset the restaurant, dragging heavy tables noisily across the floor, completely ruining any ambience and giving the message loud and clear that they wanted us to leave, so we did. Less than 1.5 hours cost us just shy of $500 for 4 people including 2 drinks each . I have never been so disappointed about an anticipated (expensive) restaurant experience and such a waste of money and definitely not a place that I would recommend. Interestingly they also take you card details at the time of booking , if you cancel within a certain time, or donโt show up they charge regardless. Perth has so many other amazing restaurants , donโt waste your time or money going here.
Be the first to ReplyVegan options - โyesโ
My husband and I visited here after receiving a voucher for Crown from our kids for Xmas and decided to book ahead the Epicurean. I told the gentleman that took us to our seats that I was Vegan and he asked me to follow him while he asked the chef to come over and show me the many options a vegan could have from the buffet. So many but he still come over to our table with an amazing chick pea curry and fried rice. There were so many beautiful salads to choose from, which I started with. Quinoa salad, sushi, hummus, pickled vegetables. Then to top it off besides fresh fruit for desert, there was lemon sorbet! The experience at The Epicurean was absolutely spot on.
Be the first to ReplyGreat dinner but corkage?
We had a lovely meal at the Epicurean with a group of family and friends. The food was varied and delicious. The service was friendly and efficient. It is not a cheap night out but reasonable value for money and we had great fun. However we were not impressed to be charged $55 for corkage for the 2 bottles of water and 1 bottle of wine we bought with our meal. Surely it is double dipping to pay for the wine and pay corkage?
Be the first to ReplyLike the old Coles Cafeteria
Service by Adison was excellent. The food selection was very good but a bit over priced at $98PP. The pork spare ribs were a bit chewy and not falling off the bone. The vanilla Ice cream was runny. There were too many out of control kids and the atmosphere was like being in an old Coles Cafeteria. The chairs at the table were far too heavy to move and the seating was too low. One good thing was the flat whites we ordered. They were spot on.
