The food was delicious. Homemade fresh sourdough bread with a blue cheese butter, truffle pasta with lobster, a pillow type pasta with braised oxtail and a chocolate amaretto crepe cake for dessert all were fantastic. Our server was attentive and helpful. Located in the Arts district, Esther's has a laid back vibe with sophisticated food and drink offerings. Will definitely be back and reccomend to family and friends visiting Vegas.
Be the first to ReplyBest off the strip little gem of an Italian restaurant.
I probably shouldn’t post this because this place is like a Diamond in the Rough. Went to Esther’s. Reservations required. Greeted by lively hostesses and wait staff. What can I say but bread is beyond the best. Salads, pasta and pizza. Yum. Yum yum. On a scale of ten, off the charts. At this point, only one of reasons I would go back to Vegas.

I loved Esther's Kitchen as a visitor to Vegas. I didn't realize how much I needed a break from the strip until we were seated and the relaxed, cozy atmosphere put us at ease. The service was absolutely impeccable as well. Attentive, kind, informative and warm. The sourdough is a must, and we had the three cheese sides to compliment the bread. We especially loved the Cambozola blue cheese. The Cauliflower alla Romana was mind blowing. This was not your pub fare fried veg. This was light, crispy, tender and extremely addictive. Easily the best cauliflower I've ever had. My companion had the rigatoni, which was a delicious dish although the pasta was slightly undercooked. It was just a shade shy of al dente, we didn't say anything and I'm sure they would have happily fixed it. No big deal. I had the Celery Root and Truffle Agnolotti with the wine special suggested by our server. The oxtail was extremely rich and decadent but very well balanced by the pasta and the wine cut though the fat. The agnolotti was perfect, toothsome and melt in your mouth. Mein gott. Finally we had the crepe cake for dessert. Perfect small portion for dessert, which is my preference. So lovely and satisfying to cut through the custardy crepe and chocolate layers. Like a very soft feuille texture. My main priority in Vegas was to enjoy some great food, and we accomplished that task. Esther's Kitchen was my favorite dining experience of the trip. Classy but totally unpretentious, with an emphasis on service and lovingly crafted rustic Italian. My highest recommendation.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food but rushed service
If I were to rate tonight's meal solely on the food, 5 stars, hands down. Homemade sourdough bread, chopped salad, homemade bucatini, pork belly porchetta: all excellent. Aussie Wagyu carpaccio, recommended by our server: to die for. And the service itself was excellent. So tell me: why the rush?? Appetizer came out while we were still eating salad. The main courses came out while we were still finishing salad and appetizer. And we weren't dawdling. It was a meal I would have liked to savor more.
Be the first to ReplyEverything was excellent!
Tried 5 different dishes and they were all excellent. Lobster pasta had a lot of lobster and super flavourful noodles, squash tortilini was comfort food at its best, and basic spaghetti was anything but basic. We loved it all!!!

The food and service was excellent. I highly suggest making reservations. I made reservations for a Thursday at 2:30 thinking they wouldn’t be busy, but they were very busy. While on my way to the restaurant they called me to confirm that I was still coming. Someone without a reservation wanted to dine and was hoping for a cancellation. Don’t skip the sourdough bread!!!
Be the first to ReplyThe Restaurant that invented Las Vegas' "Arts District" remains an icon
Now serving Vegas for over 5 years it seems as though every available superlative has been used to describe Esther's Kitchen, but the word "deliberate" isn't used enough. In an era where every new Restaurant begs to be liked by making "pretty" food James and his team are just making really great food. Seasonal food that is undoubtedly rooted in technique but never compromises flavor for looks. Food that isn't full of unnecessary additions, full of itself or trying to tell some story. Food you want to eat, then eat more of, because it comes from the heart.
Be the first to ReplySecond visit was a mistake
A friend and I dined there on the 22 of February and it was wonderful. Decided to return the next night, a mistake. The fish I ordered was a bit off, took one bite and immediately recognized something was off. Within minutes my stomach was in turmoil and I won’t share the resulting misery of the remainder of the evening. My guest finished off my meal and a bit later began to experience the same results. Needless to say we are both suffering the consequences and our morning has been “memorable” and fortunately our hotel room has two bathrooms. The manager was very attentive and apologetic but assured me the fish was fresh. The charge for the fish was removed but nothing else that I ordered had been, since I was unable or drink anything else, I thought it was a bit insulting. They obviously have a loyal following, but alas I will net be returning.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Food and Bread
I started with the half loaf of sourdough bread with good butter and pesto ricotta spread. It was so good. The menu actually says "good butter" and it was. I had trouble deciding if I wanted pesto ricotta or the butter so I alternated. Not able to eat that much bread due to my circumstances but I'm willing to spend the money for something that good. I had the carbonara. Yum. The guanciale was amazing. My friend had beef cheek melt. She was so excited. Said she hadn't seen it on a menu in 20 years. It was everything that she wanted in a sandwich. I still haven't tried the crepe cake which I so badly want and I'm not ever likely to get there because I'm going to start with the warm bread and butter every time. I appreciate that I can "buy a round for the kitchen." I've done it on both my visits and don't understand why more people aren't doing it for the folks who are preparing such good food. Be sure to make a reservation. People were lined up down the street when we went for lunch.

I ventured to Esther's based on the reviews and in my interest to get away from the strip for a breather. What a treat this jewel is for food and service. I sat at the bar solo but was quickly and friendly greeted by Tucker. He made some drink and food recommendations that were spot on. Their cocktails are fresh and delicious. I had the famous sourdough bread along with the lamb bolognese which was simply fabulous. After dinner I had one of the Italian Amora liquors. This was a perfect way to top off a great experience.

We stumbled on this place from Tripadvisor reviews and were excited to try it out.
This place is off the strip, so you'll need to take an Uber to get there.
You can tell the kitchen cares about the food it produces here.
The lamb pizza and Charcuterie board were OK, not horrible, but nothing to write home about. The rigatoni was decent and the portion was very generous. Meatballs were delicious.
Biggest complaint we had was that we waited 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive and it took about 25 mins to get our first app since we placed the order. Not sure if that was our server's fault or the kitchen's but it definitely brought down our enthusiasm overall.
If you've already gone to most known and famous restaurants on the strip and are looking for something new and more mom & pop, then you should try this. If you haven't, I would probably try out all the other places before venturing over here since it's a little out the way.
Best food I had in Vegas!
Where do I start. The charcuterie board was without a doubt the best I have ever had. It made my wife and I be more adventurous than we normally would have been.
She had a lemony pasta that she talks about almost weekly. I had a sandwich that was so so good.
Bottom line, get an Uber, get off the strip, and GET TO THIS PLACE NOW!
Consistently good food and service
Came for dinner while in town. Been here many times and continues to be consistently good. Ceaser salad and pizza excellent. Mushroom risotto very good as was the lamb pasta. The bread with buratta is a must! Great deserts too!
Must make a reservation or will not get in!
What a delightful surprise in Las Vegas!
I'll be honest...eat at this restaurant at the recommendation of a friend who had eaten here in December. I wasn't expecting this caliber of meal just south of the tourist area in Las Vegas. Shame on me. We made reservations for 5pm, when the restaurant opens, and at 4:45, there was already a line outside.
I started with the Caminante cocktail, which was delicious, and the table ordered the Burrata. It was served differently than I've had in other restaurants, and honestly, I prefer how Esther's served it...much better for sharing among the table.
For my dinner, I ordered the Mushroom Risotto (mushroom puree + garlic chives + crispy mushroom chips). I absolutely love risotto, and this now ranks among some of the most delicious risotto I've ever had, made even better by the crispy mushroom chips. It was so good I wouldn't even share it with friends.
There were 3 of us at dinner, so we each ordered a dessert to share among all 3: the butterscotch budino, pine nut tart, chocolate crepe cake. Personally, my favorite was the butterscotch budino followed by the chocolate crepe.
If I ever go back to Las Vegas, I'll go back to Esther's, but until I do, I'll highly recommend it to others.
Tasty Italian
Worthy of a trip for classic homemade Italian dishes. Tried the cauliflower appie, good but deep fried in oil. Second dish was homemade pasta, amatriciano and cacio pepe…by far cacio was our favourite dish. Pasta was cooked perfectly and sauce on par. Great atmosphere and attentive staff. Hope to return to try other dishes.

The food here is to die for. This is a must go to place when you are in Vegas. The flavor in every bite is incredible. Amazing quality at a very reasonable price! You will not be disappointed!
Be the first to ReplyGreat Good, Great Service, Fresh Vibes
Came here for dinner. Made a reservation, they called me to move it UP an hour, then we get there and have to wait 20 minutes because no tables were available. Made zero sense. The dining experience was great though. For the drinks, we had the Cool Runnings and the Devil's in the Details. Both were really good. Had the arancini to start, which was good, but could've been cheesier. Not bad at all though. For entrees, I had the rigatoni, which was phenomenal. My wife had the bucatini, which had a little spice & great flavor. We had the bread trio, which had some tasty, interesting spreads. Get the Nduja spread. The flavor was great. Our server was outstanding & knew the menu to a T. Place is cozy & intimate, but parking isn't good in the LV Arts District. Plus there is construction road work going on. Catch a ride there. Definitely recommend!
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food!! It is a must if you are visiting Vegas.
Awesome!!! Excellent service. Amazing food. Homemade pasta and meatballs was absolutely incredible. It is a small place so get reservations ahead of time. Also you have to get the sour dough bread, even if you don’t think you like it. It was not very sour and comes out hot and fresh. One of the best places in Vegas. It is not on the strip but well worth the trip.
