Estiatorio Milos Hudson Yards New York Reviews from The Last Year
Dining Experience “par excellence”
We were referred to this restaurant by the Concierge at Hudson Yards. It was beautiful venue with stunning views of the Hudson River. We happened to be there in time to see a magnificent sunset. The service was impeccable. The staff was gracious, warm and efficient. The food was exceptional! It seems to be primarily a seafood restaurant. They also have meat and vegetarian options available. I had lamb chops. They came with thick cut fried potatoes. I ordered a green salad. It was perfect!! The dressing was lovely. It was served with wedges of gost cheese. The food was very fresh and flavorful. My friend ordered the crab cake appetizer with her her meal . My husband got the fried calimari with his. Of course, I had to taste them! They were delicious!! All in all, it was the best meal I have ever eaten. The prices are quite high but well worth the investment!!
Well let's start with .
.. I paid $115 for cold fish. Very disappointing considered there is literally a fish market inside.Aside from that, the drinks were delicious, the food was great, the view ... no words. Speechless sunset vibes. Our waitress (Sennuwy) was the most attentive I have ever had the pleasure of dining with - the entire staff had me impressed. Very polite, very professional. The uniforms were ugly and ill fitting. They all looked like chefs?? It was weird. The hostesses where dressed weird too. Revealing and not personable. They were cold fish like my meal.
My colleagues and I had a phenomenal dinner at Estiatorio
My colleagues and I had a phenomenal dinner at Estiatorio Milos in Hudson Yards last night. The place truly impressed! Fresh Seafood Feast: The star of the show was definitely the stone crab. It was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. We also shared a delicious crab and sea bass dish, a delightful combination of textures and tastes. Beyond the Sea: For those craving something non-seafood, the lamb chops were a hit. Tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. Sweet Endings: We finished the night off by sharing a plate of baklava. It was flaky, crispy, and the perfect way to end a fantastic meal. Overall Experience: The service was attentive and professional, and the ambiance was elegant with stunning views (if you can snag a table by the window). It's definitely a special occasion kind of place, but for a truly memorable meal, it's worth it.
My wife has fallen head of heals in love with Greek
My wife has fallen head of heals in love with Greek Seafood, so I booked us a table at Estiatorio Milos (Hudson Yards) to celebrate her birthday. This is the 4th Greek restaurant we've dined at over the past 2 years and might be the best thus far. You enter via a spiral staircase from the 5th floor of Hudson Yards mall (tip - take the elevator as the escalator from 4th to 5th is not functional). The space is spectacular. Very modern, very classy, with high ceilings and amazing views of The Vessel, skyscrapers and the Hudson River. The menu is pretty basic and focused on fresh fish from the sea. They don't list prices for most fish, which at first was a concern, but the prices are reasonable (for Manhattan). Our server (who was fabulous) took us to their "fish market" to select a fish. She recommended we share a Sea Bass which was definitely the right call. The Sea Bass was prepared to perfection and was presented to us as a single dish, then the server split the fish between two plates. Very classy. As we had hoped the fish was mild and so delicious. Forgot to mention the Greek spreads. Our server had them create a nice trio for us which was ideal. My wife loved the fish roe (?) and I loved the fava bean spread. Seems simple, but they gave us a healthy amount of pita bread which most restaurants don't. Bread that came out earlier was also amazing. Didn't order dessert, thinking they might bring out a birthday surprise (since they knew that's what we we're celebrating), but nothing came. Only disappointment of the night. Really enjoyed the entire experience, food, service and atmosphere. We'll return for sure.
The wind literally blew us in here.
Happy to get bar seating, attentive staff and simple but fantastically flavoured food. You have the option of seeing and picking out your fish and a lot of options are flew in fresh which makes sense since the establishment so obviously caters to a bespoke clientele. Everything was fresh and I am so happy we ended up here.
The ambiance and view are incredible.
The service is very accommodating and formal. The good is outstanding. This is my 5th time here. Never disappoints us.
Miami meets Hudson Yards.
Glam over the top and a $45 prix fix 3 courslunch that's a bargain like Avra prix fix or Kyma both excellent but Milo's is special. Ate: Crete wine 4oz $11 Fisherman soup Whole Dorade Yogurt with honey Vegas style up the white staircase and the cutting of the herbs over their divine olive oil- phenomenal. Loved the soup which was like a bouillabaisse and my fisted was delicious but one piece of broccoli- brother can you spare more. I really loved the yogurt and honey. It's my first solo dining venture here and lunch prix fixes have become quite important to me these lean days, and I loved it!
I came to Estiatorio Milos for Valentine's Day, and we sat
I came to Estiatorio Milos for Valentine's Day, and we sat at the bar. The staff was wonderful: they were friendly and deeply knowledgeable about the food and drinks that were served there--you can tell that they're passionate about what they do. The ambiance was lovely. It's upscale, but not in a snooty way. There's a raw fish freezer display where people can pick out their fish for the evening. The dining room is large, and, if you're lucky enough to get a window seat, it overlooks the Vessel sculpture. The food was absolutely delicious. We got a Milos Special, the tomato salad, the tuna sashimi, rib eye steak, and a baklava for dessert. The Milos special was the most fun to eat: fried zucchini chips tower over yogurt sauce with side adornments of melty cheese-- what's not to love! The tuna sashimi was topped with delicious spices, and the quality of the meat, both for the tuna and the ribeye, was so perfectly on point, they were So. So. Good. The baklava we got for dessert was also delicious; everyone who visits Estiatorio Milos should make a point to save room for it! Thank you to the wonderful staff, both in the front and in the kitchen, for giving us customers such a wonderful evening! I would definitely recommend it here and I would definitely come back!
If you want quality good food, look no further than you
If you want quality good food, look no further than you cannot go wrong with anything at Milo's. I have been to just about every location they have and they are consistent with their flavors and commitment to fresh ingredients. My go to dishes: Milo's special is a MUST. Lightly fried eggplant and zucchini slices with a tatziki-chefs kiss. The tomato salad is out of this world-tasty tomatoes every time and beautiful olive oil. Green Salad-bursting with fresh dill. Salt baked fish-just trust me-this is what you want to order. The fish comes out perfectly moist, plated with olive oil and capers. So so good. We get that every time! This location has phenomenal views and phenomenal service.
The best octopus, crab cakes and lamb chops I've ever had!
The best octopus, crab cakes and lamb chops I've ever had! Highly recommend this restaurant with its beautiful scenic view and incredible atmosphere! For a romantic to friendly night this place is the spot! I hope you'll enjoy it like I did!
We were 8 for dinner and diverse palates.
They were able to accommodate everyone, with amazing attention to detail. We let the server order for us and she not only didn't over-do it, but picked everything just right, according to preferences. The wines were excellent and between the views, the atmosphere and the crowd, it was a 10. The Mediterranean sea bass was my favorite. Delicate and plain. They didn't over-season anything. Was a biz meeting and they gave us a nice big round table, didn't rush us out and we had an amazing and productive meeting. We will be there again.
Superb meal, lovely room & view
Dinner before a show at the Shed which is 10 minute walk away. Large room built in two tiers so even "upstairs" you enjoy the glorious view to the Hudson out the window wall along the longest side of the room. Subdued lighting, crisp white tablecloths. Attentive service. Menu offers true Mediterranean diet with many kinds of fresh fish and vegetables. Exquisitely delicious yet you feel healthy and not weighed down. Wonderful meal!
Horrible,unprofessional
Such a horrible experience at this place. Service date December 2 2023 around 7.30pm. We were a party of 2. We didn’t have a reservation,so we checked with the hostess(unhelpful),for a table. She said 2 hr wait or you can sit in the bar or high top table in the lounge. We were happy to do that.We walk around, the tables were tiny so a server said there are larger table outside. We go and sit there.for 20 mins nobody comes to us, we didn’t even get a menu. So we got up,and went and sat at the bar. Again had to wait at the bar,to get a menu for 10 mins..Finally the menu comes..And its tapas/small plates..The hostess missed out to tell us the most important piece of information ,that full dinner menu is not available at the high top tables!!! Since we had been waiting for so long,we went ahead and ordered 2 drinks,2 appetizers(oysters and fried cheese),both were fine..then i got bland lamb chops(2 pcs) with fries $40,and my husband got the tiny kababs. We were left hungry…but the worst part after the hostess was our server..he would forget things, we was cribbing & complaining on the side with other staff members about his job. So the hostess, the servers, the management and bar menu, needs major help. Please dont waste your time & money here, unless the issues are fixed.
Excellent service
Impeccable service from the start. Booking process was easy and quick. The food quality is very good, fresh ingredients and subtle flavor. The staffs are super helpful and attentive. We ordered salted baked fish, tomatoes salad, grilled vegetables, calamari and it was enough for three persons. The staff will advise on the suitable fish, or lobster, etc. It is not cheap but you the food and service warrant the price tags. Overall , it was such an enjoyable dinner experience. Will come back again!
Exceptional, both the staff and the food.
My friend and I were looking for a new place that we had not dined at and when we saw that Estiatorio Milos at Hudson Yards was listed for Restaurant Week 2023 we jumped at the chance. What luck! It was an outstanding choice! The special had quite a few options for their 3 course lunch. My friend had the Stuffed Grilled Calamari and I had the Loup de Mer Ceviche, Ionian Sea, Greece for my appetizer. Her choice for the entree was the Roasted Organic Chicken Breast and I had the Whole Grilled Fish of the Day of the day, I was told it was a Mediterranean fish, royal dorado which i was not familiar with but our server, Saki who was very patient and kind, explained that it was a whole fish filleted and very mild. Then for desert we both had the Karydopita Traditional Greek spiced walnut cake with honey lavender ice cream. Not only was the food outstanding but all of the staff, from our server Saki who took our order to the staff that served us, were exceptional. And, the presentation of our food was beautiful. The restaurant which is lovely is on the 5th Floor at 20 Hudson Yards and we were extremely lucky to be seated right by the windows with an unobstructed view of the Hudson River and the structure the Vessel. The tables are not so close together that you feel that the other diners will become your BFF's and with the very high ceilings it is very airy and bright. All in all it was an exceptional, delightful and wonderful experience that we both would be happy to repeat.

I have a notice stating that my bid has been accepted and is awaiting transfer. The reservation is for the 18th, but the “moderator” said he will confirm booking by the 28th. Is this an indicator that I may not have a reservation?

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
