This restaurant is great! Very dc vibes and super chic
This restaurant is great! Very dc vibes and super chic inside. Service was Kindof slow so that is my only complaint. Everything I tried was super light and healthy. The apple appetizer was very different but fresh, tasty and a good portion. The kohlrabi noodles were interesting and served cold. I would have liked them better hot! The rockfish was super fresh and served with a delicious curry sauce that I really loved. The fish was nice and flaky. Brussels sprouts and the banana foster dessert were also great!

Been here few times; food is refined and great for all occasions. I would definitely recommend.
Be the first to ReplyPretentious with surprisingly poor service.
Before I was seated they asked for my name and room number (do not believe the man who came just after me was asked that information). Then the same man was seated and I saw two people rush to bring him water before I'd been offered any. Then when I asked if there was fresh squeezed juice, the waiter (tight-lipped and irritated), answered freshly opened. I'd never heard this response before so I repeated "freshly opened, but not freshly squeezed?" just to confirm a DIRECT answer to my question. That again seemed to annoy him. Then I ordered and asked if they had any freshly made jams. They did not. Finally, when my food was ready I asked him to confirm the cook of the eggs (I ordered the crab cake benedict) and misspoke and said over medium (lol yes, obviously benedicts have poached eggs. It was early and I was tired). Instead of answering me, he turned and said with his back to me as he was walking away, "they're poached!" And I'm like yes, I misspoke, I know they're poached but that doesn't answer my question (because though yes, traditionally they are, places mess up the cook often. Like often, often lol). I just wanted to confirm they were poached medium before I left and would have to come back. Anywho, he had a horrible attitude from start to finish. The crab cake Benedict itself was fantastic. Though was like forty dollars and did not come with even a singular side and had only a small amount of crab. All in all, I would not recommend this pretentious, poorly staffed, small (yet not one bit cozy) restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyI enjoyed my dinner here! The service was not that great.
Our server was not attentive and he took a while to get our orders etc.But the food was great! I tried the pig ears and fish dip for the appetizers. For the entree I order the flat iron steak. So delicious!
Be the first to ReplyPretty big disappointment after seeing the positive reviews
Pretty big disappointment after seeing the positive reviews for this restaurant. While the staff is polite and helpful and the ambience and interior design is beautiful, the food is a huge let down. Their starter popovers (complimentary) were burnt and tasted charred. The starter beets were good --they were cooked but still a bit hard though. The crudo which was used yellowtail was very fishy and really small portions for a $30 dish. The smoked cabbage was actually Napa cabbage with kimchi fried rice. It was fine but the flavor was pretty one-note (the flavor of kimchi was overpowering). The old bay fries were fine but very standard. The main course was a $95 whole grilled fish we split between two people. While I understand a lot of the cost came from the caviar and fish roe, it definitely felt overpriced for what it was. The menu itself didn't have much seafood entree options despite proclaiming to be a seafood-oriented restaurant. We finally tried the milk chocolate crepe brรปlรฉe and this was not a crime brรปlรฉe at all. It was more like a bittersweet chocolate mousse. Really disappointing as well since we were expecting a crime brรปlรฉe.Overall, despite the nice staff and decor, it was definitely not worth the price for the quality of food and I wouldn't recommend the food to others.

Nice atmosphere and upscale modern decor. I wished some of the food matched up to its quality. We tried the cripsy pig ears, hush puppies with crab meat, and the bouillabaisse. the highlight was definitely the crispy pig ears. Fried very well, not too oily and packed with flavors. Its accomapined by lettuce that you can wrap it around, which goes really well. Thw hush puppies were good, but it did not come with tat much crab inside. The bouillbaise broth was good and shrimp and clams was solid, but the fish was pretty dry, even when dipped in the sauce. Overall it was a decent experience. Maybe next time I will try their fauna (meat) dishes.
Be the first to ReplyThe ambiance is spectacular here.
Between the decor and perfect lighting you feel you're somewhere special. We had cocktails at the bar before a dinner reservation and the foamy espresso martinis hit the spot. I wish we'd gotten to try the crab cakes but still highly recommend! The one star off is for the peanuts they serve at the bar, they taste wonderful but leave your fingers greasy and wet with how they flavor them.

The bouillabaise was the best thing i've ever tasted and I couldn't have picked a better spot for my birthday. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Be the first to ReplyMy wife and I had an awesome time.
The food was excellent and the service was just good as the food. We look forward to eating there again.

I just live the ambiance of this place and the service is excellent. The drinks are pretty pricy but you get what you pay for. I ordered an expression martini and it was very strong and flavorful. The bartender provided many recommendations and had many years in the hospitality industry.
