Can't wait to come back!!!
This place is now my favorite Thai restaurant in all of America. I travel all over the place. Went here for lunch. The had a lunch special. Came with the best soup I have had since my visit to real Thailand. Plus 2 appetizers. Then the main course. I chose the friend chicken, which was amazing. Came with purple rice, and just yummy. Also ordered dessert

Best Thai food in San Francisco and one of my favorite restaurants! The menu is a fresh twist on all your Thai restaurant favorites with an amazing selection of drinks.

Sooooo loud! Between the music and crowd, I couldnโt hear my friend who was sitting across from me. Other than that, food was good, but prices were steep. In that area it works but I could get an equally or better meal in the Richmond for a better price. Fried chicken by the way is good, but not worth the price. Service though was excellent!
Be the first to ReplyWorst Thai food ever and well overpriced, avoid!!
This was the worst and most expensive Thai food I have ever had. We ordered green curry and the portions were really tiny. However, as the food was extremely spicy, we weren't able to eat it! Please note, you pay for just the curry sauce, we had to pay extra to add chicken to it and rice was extra too. On top, they charged us like a few sort of taxes and also allowed themselves to charge for the bad service and requested tip on top of that!! Shameless!! We will never return and won't recommend this place to anyone.
Be the first to ReplyIndians donโt visit this placeโฆ this place is discriminatory!
This is the worst restaurant, the waiters may discriminate against you if your are Indian. Food is average. Expensive. Not recommended.
Be the first to ReplyBest Thai in town! Very fun menu! ๐
They have a really fun menu and the ambiance is pleasant particularly on their front patio. Thai is my favorite kind of food and Iโd say this is easily the best Thai restaurant in the city.
Be the first to ReplyTerrible food and very unfriendly staff.
Came for dinner after seeing the restaurant recommended online. Without a doubt our most disappointing experience of our holiday. Our waitress was extremely unfriendly and borderline rude. My boyfriends food was fine, however I spent 47 dollars on dry beef fat which was meant to be short rib. When I asked if I could have a side of curry sauce I was first met with a no (even though our started had a curry dipping sauce), I was told it would be a further 10 dollars if I wanted some. Not worth the hype. Very very disappointed. Save your money and go to any of the far superior restaurants in San Francisco.

Incredible table for a private dinner party in the back, intimate and cozy, festive and fun. We sampled lots of dishes and cocktails, finishing with a Thai Vacation for dessert. And yes, with the singing, clapping, and drumming. It was a delight! Colorful touches throughout the restaurant give it a fresh flair. This spot hit all the right notes!

Very interesting that Farmhouse kitchen has a weekday and weekend menu. The cocktail menu is also impressive. I saw this restaurant on envibe and had pretty high expectations. The food was tasty but not spicy enough as Thai food could be. The atmosphere was good and the staff was friendly.
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced and average
On a first visit, I'm puzzled by all the excited buzz. The food is paramount, and here it's only average. We ordered a yellow curry, which was OK but unremarkable, and a fancy half roast chicken that was dry to the point of inedibility. Service is inattentive and rushed. A glass of wine that was $20 was a small pour and didn't even taste like the expensive Chardonnay it was supposed to be, so I am suspicious. The environment is noisy. Finally, the price was exorbitant. I've eaten far better Thai for half the price.

If you want unusual Thai food, this is the place. A little out of the way this restaurant really stands out. We ordered the basil bomb, crab fried rice hat yak fried chicken and seau rhong hail. Every dish was well prepared and served in an attractive way. Service was good. Expect to pay at least $50/person.
Be the first to ReplyFarmhouse "Bye" Kitchen!
After having ordered takeout/delivery from Farmhouse several times and enjoyed it, we decided to make a reservation and dine in at what turned out to be a rather tackily decorated restaurant for a Saturday night dinner. It was an underwhelming experience to say the least. Hygiene was blasphemously overlooked as we had the previous diners' scraps littered all over the floor under our table which was only half cleaned up and, even then, only after we had asked for it to be. The staff was ill-mannered, ill-trained and blatantly looked disinterested and unhappy. I'd rather have been in Thailand too. That said, the dishes we ordered were tasty though one could tell were hastily prepared and we blessed to have met Khun Wut who was lovely. Be better, Farmhouse... much better!
Be the first to ReplyUnbelievably disappointing and a waste of $$
Given the glowing reviews and my love of Thai food, I expected to love this resturaunt. BUT it proved to literally be, hands down, the worst Thai food I have ever eaten (or in this case, tried to eat. The Shrimp Pad Thai was spicey hot! Really? It was inedible. The Scallion Pancake was cold and chewy. I requested that the curry Duck be mild and it too was inedibly spicey and hot.
Be the first to ReplyTerrible bland disappointing food
We ordered delivery whilst visiting San Fran and have never been so disappointed with a meal. The food tasted of nothing (almost impossible in Thai cuisine). Overpriced, bland, sad experience. And no response from the restaurant when complaining.
Avoid.
Chaotic delicious food
We came here for dinner on a Sunday around 5:30pm. We were able to get a table and it started to fill up. I admit, I was a little wary. Thereโs a lot going on with this place. Thereโs lights that blinks like fireworks, roses on one side etc. chaotic vibes. Can be a bit noisy too. The food is excellent though. The tom yum soup was delicious but has spice to it. I like spicy so it was fine, but those who do not, will find it spicy. The hat yai fried chicken was delicious. The curry it came with was on point. So flavorful and sweet. The chicken was so crispy! The kai Sam ros was also tasty! It was sweet and savory. The pad see kaw was also good. The mango sticky rice was amazing. We ordered two more after the first! Definitely one of the best meals in San Francisco that we had so far.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing - must do
Amazing food and a lovely setting with incredible staff. We got the chicken yellow curry, short rib and fried chicken and all were fantastic. Coupled with some cold Asian beers - cannot go wrong!
Be the first to ReplyInstagram-worthy decor and presentation of food
Stopped here immediately after landing at SFO for lunch. On a quiet street, you enter into what seems like a magical Thai village. There is beautiful decor, a flower wall and it makes you feel like you're out of the city. The food arrived looking awesome and "exotic" with blue coconut rice as an example. I had the Pad see ew with crispy pork belly - it was delicious and I would go back 100x. At the time we went, there was no line, the service was timely and we were out as quickly as we wanted to be on the road without being rushed.
Be the first to ReplyService was good, but food was disappointing.
The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was good, but the food was disappointing. I was looking forward to having a curry dish at Farmhouse Kitchen, but the server told me that all of their curries contained soy. Since I am allergic to soy and also can't have gluten, I couldn't try any curries. My dinner companion and I tried a noodle dish and a rice dish that were supposed to be gluten free and soy free. The food tasted okay, but it wasn't as delicious as Thai food that I've had at other restaurants. The prices also were high considering the quality of the ingredients. Shortly after dinner, I started feeling sick. There must've been some cross-contamination with either gluten or soy.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Thai food, a sleeper restaurant that shouldn't be missed
Delicous, spicy, shrimp and wonderful seafood in general. Highly recommended for both starters and entrees.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic Thai food
We had a great lunch here--very tasty food, very nice setting, excellent service and a bargain. We have been to dozens of Thai restaurants and this is a real standout.
Be the first to ReplyWe went to the newly opened Branch in Menlo Park
We went to the newly opened branch in Menlo Park and sat outside. They have a variety of cocktails that are light and refreshing and I also had a Singha beer. We started off with a Appetizer platter that had Tom Khai soup, Vegan Fresh rolls , and paratha with peanut sauce dip. Next we had the Pad Thai and spicy eggplant. They have 3 curry choices Red Green and Yellow and you can choose the meat , we had the Green Curry with Chicken and it had grilled eggplant, bell peppers and basil and was quite tasty. For desert we had the Croissant Bread Pudding and a dollop of icecream. The bread pudding was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this new place
Be the first to ReplyPretty Good Food but Total Fail on Atmosphere
Some fantastic Thai food.
The 24 hours beef noodle soup, the papaya salad, the sizzling seafood are among the standouts.
Thumbs down: any curry with chicken which tends to be overcooked. Mai tais are way too sweet.
Though the food is mostly good (with a few exceptions), there are some serious annoyances.
Primary among them: on a regular basis, your dinner is interrupted by an annoying roving "Thai" band in costume (complete with Carmen Miranda fruit hats). I put "Thai" in quotes because I can't imagine that any self-respecting Thai in Thailand would participate in this embarrassing display.
This Thai band sings at the top of its collective lungs off key and bangs loud drums and cymbals.
It's a "happy birthday band" serenading customers who have self-identified as spending their birthday at the Farmhouse. Remember the most embarrassing moments you've spent at some cheap restaurant whose appeal is that the staff darts out in song even though the food is bad.
It is a sad performance of "Thai"ness with kitsch Americana.
After you've had your fill of the one or two birthday performances, the Thai band runs out again for a third try: this time playing the Thai rendition of a Queen song! "We will, we will, rock you!" (To be honest, I don't remember what Queen song it was last night. I'm cringing trying to achieve a balance between remembering and forgetting the actual details.)
Will I go back? After the memory of the Thai musical theater recedes and the flavor of the food prevails comes back to tempt me.
Then again, I'm writing this review so I might never forget my experience of that sad, sad theater.
Great Food and Atmosphere
Our son, who lives in the city took us here on a Thursday evening. The restaurant was packed and a dozen in line. First impressions, a line, must be good. Fortunately we had a reservation and waited 5 min. Reservations are recommended.
The atmosphere is lively, the menu is straight forward and all of the dishes great. We asked the waiter for suggestions and followed his lead. Beer selection is very good as is the wine list. Specialty drinks were being had at many tables.
They were decorated for Halloween. Suggest you go there on Oct 31st, if you can get in.
Cheers
