Farmshop Santa Monica Reviews from The Last Year

bought raspberries from here, ate a couple and discovered they were moldy! took the berries to them expecting apology and store credit at least. they told me you can either get a new one or throw it out. terrible service and goes without saying i'm not going to buy any food here again.

Thank you for the amazing carrot cake and for being a part of our special day! It was so delicious, and everyone loved it. We highly recommend your bakery, although you guys should look into doing a delivery service. We had to jump through a few hoops to make this happen, but boy was it worth it!
Confused as to why this establishment has such low ratings.
It is such a cute neighborhood restaurant with quality food. Everyone from the staff are super friendly and accommodating. I recommend coming here to grab a bite if you're at the mart. Definitely will be back to check out their weekend brunch. That olive oil to the sourdough is amazinggggg!
"Like the sun rises in the east, you can pretty much count
"Like the sun rises in the east, you can pretty much count on an excellent dinner at Farm Shop" Over the last 6 months, I've eaten dinner at Farmshop around 12 times. Briefly, each aspect of the experience has been excellent. I recommend the restaurant without reservation. Details of my experience below: Ambience (5 stars): Understated fine dining establishment adjacent to a boutique market with a bakery and a charcuterie. The ambient noise level is relatively low, so I can actually listen to and speak with my dining partner(s). Furthermore, the meal is served at a relaxed pace. Service (6 stars): My encounters with each staff member have been uniformly pleasant. They are polite, efficient, effective, and unobtrusive. Props to the managers (brent and Henry) and 2 of the bartenders/servers (NIck and Cesar) for being kind, attentive, and genuine regarding their interest in ensuring that the dining experience of my partners and myself was superb. Interesting side note: When I went most recently, the server erred and one of our entrees was not included in the original communication to the kitchen. Not only did they apologize and whip up the missing entree in quick time, but they also made it up to us with a little something something at the end of the meal (Note: We did not request anything from because of the oversight. We simply told them that it was only time that such an oversight has occurred and that we appreciate the excellent service that we've always received). From myperspective, mistakes can occur from time to time, it's how the staff and the business remedy those mistakes that really tells me something about the quality of the business. Mixology (5 stars): I rate this with the caveat that, at this juncture in time, I am digging Old Fashions. In my opinion, Nick and Cesar prepare the best version of this drink in town, and I've had a lot of old fashions in the last 12 to 18 months (Note: I order the drink with Japanese whiskey) Food (5 stars): I've eaten and enjoyed various items on the menu. here are my "go tos": - avocado hummus: an awesome twist on the traditional item. I think that it's better than the chickpea version, and wish that other establishments made a version that is this good. - faroe island salmon: Excellent cut of salmon, perfectly seasoned and cooked medium rare, with a delish side of chick peas. Sides: - There are 3 on the menu: charred broccoli, smashed potatoes, and housemade sourdough break. Short answer - - I like 'em all. try the sourdough with butter, if your cardiologist permits. After dinner Cheese plate: The restaurant has an amazing selection of cheeses in the market adjacent to it. They essentially have whatever you want to suit your fromage loving palette. Guanaja chocolate (served as a pie slice): It was a chocolate, praline, and nutella combination that was so delicious that I took over 10 minutes to eat it (Note: I rarely order dessert, so, when I do, I want it to be awesome so that I can savor it) Prices (4 stars): 2 drinks, an appetizer, 2 entrees, a side, and tip will set you back $150 to $180. to me, it's a reasonable price for an excellent meal on the Westside So, taken together, dinner at the Farmshop is a terrific lowkey establishment with excellent food, great service, and a lowkey, understated fine dining set up. If you decide to check it out, then I hope that you'll enjoy as much as I do.

I love going here with my daughter for a coffee and a croissant. I've discovered some great drinks here like the Pick Me Up Beauty Water (so yummy with tequila). And we love that they have gluten free options in the bakery for me. The service has always been very friendly and helpful. It's always crowded but everyone is polite and the space is always clean and fully stocked.

Polished off a business meeting at Farmshop in the Brentwood Country Mart. Large, kind of noisy, but filled with "beautiful people"eating typical LA food, with some interesting flourishes (also LA, come to think of it). My buddy had the chicken salad, I went with endive and crab salad - good ingredients but somehow lacked that crisp freshness that comes with endives. Asked for the sourdough bread that came with the most insipid olive oil I've had in a long time - zero flavor. Skipped dessert, finished with my standard cappuccino, while buddy had matcha latte, reportedly ok. It's a scene more for the people than for the food, that's for sure. Good if you're showing off the Westside to out of town friends.

4% surcharge is ridiculous and i was charged more than i approved as they adjusted the final tip amount. Wanted to like this place but they are ripping off customers.

This little spot sports both local foods to purchase, ready-to-eat and prepared foods to your delight. Ordered smoked salmon sandwich, coffee, and pastrami +poached egg salty... i was hungry. Coffee was a little too acidic however, the food itself was amazing where both warm and fresh easily comes to mind. Although everything comes at a higher price point, I highly recommend to hit up this little local spot.
Excellent food and service, strongly recommended.
I had the liver pathetically with apricot sauce, delicious

Love going here over the weekend with the family, it's kid friendly and the food is amazing.
I told the waiter about my food allergies up front.
I ordered the salmon and specifically said no spices, but that salt/pepper/garlic/olive oil all work fine. I got plain salmon and sautéed broccoli rabb - with chili flakes. No salt or pepper. I'm not sure what part of "no spices" was unclear, as the waiter said "I know you said no spices, but chili flakes are ok right?" I didn't want to cause a scene with my guest so I ate it and ended up with an autoimmune flare the next day. THANKS A LOT. And it cost me $70 for bland salmon and tap water. My friend and I split the bill - he had the salmon, iced tea, and the chick pea fitters. It made me angry to pay a ridiculous amount for something I could have cooked myself correctly for $15.

We have been at this restaurant few times for brunch, today was my first time for dinner. I probably have one of the best salads of my live ("Salad of Fall Chicories" ) it was so good and the dressing... amazing! The Pitman's Heritage Chicken a la Plancha, that was great as well. Paco gave us great service, he was very nice and polite. We will be back!

Farmshop is the place I take people who I want to impress with a good breakfast. My fave is their rolled omelette with herbs. My husband got their coddled eggs and loved it too. And I love that they serve LAMILL coffee, they know what's up!

Cute little brunch spot, always busy, but fun when you wanna grab a bite or have coffee and a light breakfast or lunch with friends.
My first time here and I was so spoiled by my friends.
We got the large portion of caviar to share. 9/10. the caviar could have been better(?) like a bit more poppy. Crispy artichokes come with pear and burrata. 8.5/10. Pastrami sandwich- 8.5/10. Spicy crab pasta- 10/10. Egg frittata- 6/10. goat cheese was the best part of it. carrot cake- 9/10. very moist and not too sweet. located in a shared space with a grocery store. loud and crowded during lunch.

Zero stars food !!!! Unfortunately, I must admit that we had very bad experience after visiting Farmshop in Brentwood. I am writing this review here cause I tried to contact twice directly the Farmshop but got no feedback so far.. 02/07/24 me and my husband bought two prepared mozzarella prosciutto sandwiches at the counter around 3pm , and my husband immediately started to feel sick after eating this sandwich , he felt really bad and eventually vomited . It really looked like a food poisoning cause next day he felt totally fine. And that is actually so unfortunate cause because we live in Brentwood this spot is one of our favorite places to visit alongside with other cafes and little shops there, but this experience was really disappointing...

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.

Reservations could be posted for a variety of reasons. Most likely, the person who secured the reservation can no longer attend - to avoid accruing a "no show" fee, they can find someone to take their place.
