Amazing Easter experience
Ricardo is an outstanding server. Professional yet warm, friendly and very welcoming. He made our Easter celebration one to remember and truly savor. His talent for creating ambience and comfort is truly a gift. Thank you!
Be the first to ReplyFiola is Fabulous!!
Elegant romantic ambience with soft lighting, glamorous wine bottle displays white tablecloths and very attentive staff. Service is the highest star rating. Food was delicious and our table of guests enjoyed a family style meal with many plates of different foods for sharing. From the basil dressing drizzled & surrounding a fresh chilled lettuce salad platter to the copper potted creamed mashed potatoes to the giant king prawn relaxing on top of the Cioppino dish and all the way through the crisp chilled champagne and finishing with the silky Fiola Tiramisu….. All I can say is “Fiola is Fabulous!”
Be the first to ReplyExcellent meal and experience
This restaurant was a breath of fresh air: elegant dining still wins. While energetic and stylish, this spot skillfully avoids feeling trendy or hip. The ambience still has the feel of old-world timeless class. The food and service were excellent. Servers were friendly and approachable. I’ve been to Rome many times, and the black truffle spaghetti was the best pasta I’ve ever eaten. And yes, the $38 chocolate cake is worth it.
Be the first to ReplyWildly wicked wagyu
The food was amazing. (And the Negronis tasty.) One of the best meals I've had in a while. I had the lobster ravioli (fantastic) and then Dover sole (excellent), but I was blown away by the wagyu beef, a dish of our friend. All the staff were supremely attentive and professional, and they gave me a very nice custom dessert for my birthday. Highly recommended for the food, the service, and the place.

5 stars as always! Whenever I visit Coral Gables it’s almost a must that I dine at Fiola’s. The food is orgasmic while the service and knowledge of the staff as to overall quality of this pristine establishment. A true dining experience.

We had a reservations for 8:15 PM and we got our table at 9:00 PM, the service was very good as well as the food, but we found it over priced
Be the first to ReplyFabulous food, disappointing experience
The food was as wonderful as one would expect. Our second time here, and we went with great expectations. We had three service problems - we had asked for a quiet table as one of us is hard of hearing. We were first taken to a back room with two babies - one being fed, the other screaming. When we were clearly unhappy, we were reseated at a banquette with people on both sides. On the third try we did get a corner table. (I had noticed that there were a few tables for four with only two people at them. No effort was made to accommodate us that way.) The appetizer was wonderful. As it was my birthday - we splurged and I ordered pasta with white truffles. It was served beautifully, and the truffle was shaved over my pasta in front of me. Unfortunately, when I went to eat it - it was room temperature. It took a little while to flag someone down. He took my pasta and I assume had it remade (the truffles were put on in the kitchen). While that was nice, my husband was eating as slowly as he could to wait for my pasta. I was served relatively quickly - maybe 10 minutes later. But there was only a late offer to take my husband’s dish to the kitchen. My pasta was absolutely fabulous - but because of the time discrepancy- my husband ate more slowly than he might have, and I ate more quickly than I would have liked. There was no apology. Dessert was offered orally - we did not see a menu. The “signature” chocolate cake was pushed, and as it was my birthday my husband went for it. We were told it was a large enough piece for two. However, we were not prepared for the charge - $39!!! A price like that should be relayed to the customer before ordering. In short, great food - disappointing experience. (And my glass of Austin Hope Cabernet was clearly not from a freshly opened bottle.)
Be the first to ReplySuper Italian food in Miami
Superb! There is no other word for this restaurant other than superb. And I will say up front that the service was the best I have experienced anywhere in Miami in a long time - friendly, helpful, informative and genuine. On a Thursday night the place was packed! A good sign! My friend and I did the Miami Spice menu, which had great selections. We had - the Caesar salad, oysters, swordfish, red pepper ravioli and the Basque cheesecake. Every serving was delicious. The wines were superb too. We had a Montepulciano and a Pinot noir. There were delicious. The good service extended to the valet parking guys - very helpful and friendly. Overall, a superb evening!
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing Encounter with Maître d' Overshadows Excellent Food and Service at Fiola
During a recent dinner at Fiola with my family, we were impressed by the delicious food and impeccable service provided by our waiter. However, the evening took an uncomfortable turn due to the maître d's behavior. After settling the bill, the maître d' approached our table and proceeded to fold our napkins without asking, invading our personal space and making us feel uneasy. To our surprise, they even went under the table to pick up napkins, which further added to the awkwardness of the situation. To compound matters, the maître d' subtly hinted for us to leave by asking if they could assist us with anything else. This left us feeling disappointed, especially considering the substantial amount we had spent on the dinner. Even our waiter acknowledged the discomfort and felt compelled to apologize after the maître d' left the table. While the food and service were commendable, the regrettable encounter with the maître d' cast a shadow over our overall experience. As patrons, we expected a more welcoming and professional atmosphere, especially given the restaurant's reputation and prices. It is disheartening to think that such behavior could be perceived as discriminatory. Regardless of the intentions, the maître d's actions left a lasting negative impression. As a result of this uncomfortable encounter, I am hesitant to return to Fiola. I sincerely hope that the management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the issue promptly, ensuring a more inclusive and respectful dining environment for all customers

I reserved a reservation at Fiola to celebrate my fiancée's birthday during a two-night trip to Coral Gables from Naples, Florida. The experience at Fiola was simply immaculate. From the moment we walked in, the refined atmosphere of fine dining was evident. Having dined at various fine dining restaurants before, I sometimes find that the quality of the food doesn't match the ambiance and price. However, Fiola exceeded all expectations! Our waiter, Juan, was exceptionally knowledgeable in suggesting perfect pairings for each dish and recommending refreshing beverages. The timing of the food's arrival was precise, and the taste was beyond anything I could have imagined. I have even dined in Italy and other places in Europe due to my love for traveling. The Manager, Pat, also contributed to our wonderful dining experience by personally visiting our table and inquiring about our overall experience. His thoughtful gestures added another layer of appreciation to my fiancée's birthday celebration. This was truly a memorable dining experience, and I can't wait to return to Fiola. I'll definitely be sharing my great experience with others, recommending them to visit this exceptional restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyUpscale ambiance and off-the-charts service
I enjoy the Fiola restaurants in Washington, so booked a table for dinner here. The staff is top notch, everyone is super friendly and accommodating. The young man who was bussing our table was great, fun to talk to, and a real go-getter. The ambiance is excellent, upscale, crowded and busy, but not too noisy. Cocktails were 10/10. Wine list is good, but expensive. Pretty much everything about Fiola restaurants are expensive, but in this case, you get what you pay for, so it doesn't bother me. Food was excellent, service was excellent. It's good for people watching. We had a fantastic, relaxing, and enjoyable dinner out, so kudos to the staff. This will definitely be a go-to place every time I visit Miami.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious pasta! Beautiful setting.
We ordered a few pasta plates and they all were wonderful! We caught the tail end of the truffle season and ordered a dish with truffles. Also, the Cacio e Pepe was beautifully done as was the lobster ravioli. Each pasta was perfectly done, al dente. Some of the meat dishes were super pricey. The veal chop was $125 for a 12 ounce chop. I recommend the pasta dishes and you will be very happy. Service was excellent and they split our pasta dishes which was really helpful. Definitely recommend!
Be the first to ReplyLa Grande Cuisine Italienne !!
Delicious cooking pasta, fish are cooked to perfection, everything is of high quality. The service is perfect but not obsequious, real friendly and efficient professionals. The place is beautiful and pleasant. For me the best Italian in Miami
Be the first to ReplyNice, but underwhelming.
We had heard really great things about Fiola, so we were really looking forward to eating there. There were three of us and they sat us at a round table for five. A bit awkward. The wait staff were really good and attentive. The food was very average, unfortunately. We had two pastas and a seafood entrees. We ordered bread, but it arrived at the same time as the food, sort of defeating the purpose. We ate at the rooftop area and it was fine. Maybe we set expectations too high, but it is what it is. Not going back.
Be the first to ReplyFiola - DELICIOUS Italian food in the Miami suburbs!!
From Washington D.C. and open for several years in suburban Coral Gables (adjacent to South Miami), FIOLA is a very lovely EXCELLENT Italian restaurant. The beautiful interior and comfortable seating, with highly professional and helpful wait staff (Thank you Luis!), pairs well with truly outstanding food. Every single food item (our Group of 7 people) tried was delicious! We enjoyed: Craft cocktails - VERY good Margaritas, Manhattan, Martinis Bread - fresh baked pane - yum! Mushroom soup - creamy, rich, good! Oysters - fresh & delicious Swordfish entree - excellent Seared scallops - perfectly prepared Calamarata Fruiti Di Mare - delicious seafood pasta dish! Lobster ravioli - MUST TRY famous entree at Fiola! Australian Wagyu NY Strip - MOUTHWATERING DELICIOUS STEAK!! Truly EXCEPTIONAL!! Heirloom tomato salad - perfect! Spinach sauté - tasty! Potato Fonduta - perfect pot of mashed potatoes for sharing Fiola Grand Chocolate Layer Cake - this one “slice” more than satisfied 7 people! For a delicious Italian meal at a wonderful restaurant, treat yourself to Fiola!
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing at Best
For a restaurant that tries to be a very high-end or chic, where you easily spend $150 per person I don’t understand why they charge for the bread. The burrata was mediocre but the bison tartar was very good. The pasta was undercooked in all three pasta dishes we ordered, not even al dente. The cheesecake was fantastic but the pistachio ice cream had no flavor. The service was ok. Really it is not worth it with all the high-end Italian restaurants available in Coral Gables.
Be the first to ReplyMiami spice
We went for brunch on Sunday due to Miami Spice promotion. Excellent food and service will definitely return for dinner. It is expensive but worth every penny. The desserts a little disappointing, but appetizers and entrée delicious.
Be the first to ReplyTotally disorganized restaurant
I really wanted to like this place - but the experience was just not very positive as a dining experience. We ordered the special lunch menu (3 courses) and the wine pairings with it. When ordering, the waiter then pushed the special bread and spread prior to the first course. Since we were hungry, I ordered it. After taking our order, the waiter then proceeded to take the order from the table next to us (also a table for 2). After 5 minutes, the table next to us received the special bread. We did not. I waited another 5 minutes before calling the waiter and asked what happened. He apologized and said the kitchen needed to be better organized with their tickets. Great - not much help to me. The bread came a few minutes later - but we had waited quite a long time. Problem 2... perhaps 30 seconds after the bread arrived, the first course arrived, and we had both ordered a bruschetta (more bread!). The bruschetta was a peach and cheese bruschetta, and the sliced peaches were hard and not ripe. The bread was too hard to cut. It was a poor appetizer. We actually preferred the extra bread we had ordered. Problem 3 ..... The main course arrived - but the wine pairings did not. I had to call the waiter again, who apologized again. We didnt get the wine until we were more than halfway through the course. Problem 4 ..... The desert course was good (not great), but exceptionally small. I ordered the tart which could have not been more than 1.5 inches in diameter. It was about the size (diameter and thickness) of an Oreo cookie. It came with a teaspoon size scoop of ice cream. My wife did not like her desert. She took one spoon and left it over. We didnt say anything - but I would have thought a waiter would have suggested something else if she didnt like it - especially given the previous problems. When wine pairings are ordered with a meal, there is something desperately wrong when the restaurant can't even get that coordinated.
Be the first to Reply32nd Wedding Anniversary Saved By an Inch
Although through OpenTable we had advised the restaurant we were celebrating our 32nd year wedding anniversary and two days before they called to confirm our reservations and again we reiterated our desire not to be seated near restrooms or the kitchen upon arrival in time the hostess disregarded our request and wanted to sit us at the worst table in the restaurant. Inches away from the restrooms and kitchen area. We rejected the table and she promised we get a better table. 15 minutes later she offered an equally bad sitting option which we rejected again. We were on the verge of leaving. In the interim individuals that looked like they walked off a beach were being seated before us although we were appropriately dressed. Thankfully a manager whose name I never got intervene and noticed we were standing waiting to be seated. He escorted us to the wine room to a very nice table which apparently the hostess was too distracted talking to god know who to have noticed. I would fire her immediately. Didn’t get her name regrettably. She was of thin build with long brown hair and olive skin. A high end restaurant and it’s clientele deserves better. Once seated the night finally turned for the better. We were served by Juan from Colombia and Erick from the Republic of Georgia and a recent transplant from Brooklyn NY. Our cocktails were delayed a bit and as a result were on the house. A very nice touch by Erick. My wife had the wahoo crudo and I the tuna tartare. Both delicate and delicious. We both had the lobster ravioli. To die for. Don’t miss out of this delicious and tender entree. The dinner ended with dessert again on the house. But for the hostess we would give five stars to the restaurant. We will return and ask for Juan and Erick to repeat their fine service. We couldn’t be more pleased with the service and attention.
Be the first to ReplyA Wonderful Dinner for Two
Our first trip to Fiola. I used their website gift certificates for everyone this Christmas including my girlfriend. Their New York restaurant earned a Michelin star, and left me with high hopes. Not loud! Not to dark. Definitely a higher end vibe than other places. But still very calm. They did not disappoint.
Dress code is in effect, but it wasn’t a negative that I showed up in shorts. The staff pivoted and we sat in the lounge. My mistake, no foul though. Way to handle it. The lounge is relaxed and nice. Seating is spacious, although we got there at 5:30pm so we’ll before the Miami dinner rush.
Rostam was our server. AJ was the runner. Both were on point, and timed their visits perfect. Rostam didn’t hover, but was there the moment we were ready. He helped us through the menu. I asked him about bourbons and he snagged the bottles off the shelf and brought them to me. That was excellent! Between the two of them, they made the experience flow smooth and even.
The food! Tomato Gazpacho to start is perfect. Fresh and chilled. Wahoo crudo, and Bison Tartar for an appetizer. Amazing! Wahoo was clean and crisp. Tartar was smooth with and nice blend of flavor. It could use a bit of spice, but that’s my taste. The lobster ravioli and Wagyu lasagna were both excellent dishes. The ravioli was tender and so tasty. The sauce had depth and added to the pasta excellently. The Wagyu couldn’t have been cooked better. It’s served as a roll and when it’s heated the dough gets dry. Maybe a sauce or a bigger piece to keep that from happening. Regardless, everything was very well done.
Let’s talk bourbon. Good selection of Scotches and Bourbons. Their cocktail menu works so good with the menu. From the Black Manhattan to the Cafecito, everything is crafted well. And the bar tenders are tasting their drinks to make sure they are right. I could sit at the bar and enjoy some Buffalo Trace everyday.
Service needs to be improved
Good food but extremely poor service, at least for the tables outside.
I had to stand up from table to request waitress to take our order after more than ½ hour waiting.
Wonderful fine dining Italian restaurant that is easily the best Italian option in all of South Florida.
Score: 96/100
THE SERVICE: Our dinner last night was perfect in every single way thanks to the outstanding and impecable service that Gaspare provided us. He was intuitive, polite, friendly, and charming. As a great listener, he suggested the perfect pairings for our dishes and the right desserts for our palates based on what we described we enjoyed. THE FOOD: Every dish was prepared perfectly, obviously with the freshest and highest quality ingredients available. Flawless delicious stand-outs were: 1- The Yellowfin Tuna Tartare with pine nuts, lemon, Calabrian chili, and mint. 2- The Lobster Ravioli (one of the best anywhere in the world including Italy). SUMMARY: Wonderful fine dining Italian restaurant that is arguably the best Italian option in all of South Florida.
Expensive, but totally worth it!
This is the best Italian restaurant in Miami. Period. The place is amazing, the service excellent. Very expensive, but there is nothing at this level in the Miami South area.
Be the first to ReplyAs good as the brother in DC
Twice in a short time I have been to Fiola. Both times I have had a great experience in food, wine and service.
The attention to detail in excellent. The quality of the food superb and the wine selection and the sommelier very impressive.
If around don't miss it. You're indoor a treat.
My compliments to the sommelier. Well informed, well versed and willing to hear.
We had a great time
Really good food at astronomical prices.
First time in Fiola. You don't feel in Miami, this a locals spot. Few foreigners, if any. Food quality is real good, but it's not quite classic Italian cuisine. It has a lot of French style sauces and classic American favorites as well. Service is OK. Really nice decor, but you might think you are at a Capital Grille. Good for expense account dinners, it has astronomical prices. Pastas for $45-60. Dover Sole for $95. It adds up.
