Interesting spot which started making pizza (ASAP Pizza)
Interesting spot which started making pizza (ASAP Pizza) after the outbreak of the Coronavirus. I had a "Spice Grrl" (Honey, n'duja, sicilian oregano, caciocavallo and tomato sauce) that I liked a lot as ingredients were high quality and the dough that they also use to make sourdough bread was really good. Service is also friendly and careful. Nevertheless, for £16 it is quite on the expensive side. It is not your usual pizza therefore it is worth trying as a one-off.

I had the brandade and it was one of the most flavorful things I have ever tasted with the elegant flavors of the peppers mixed with the saltiness of the cod. Oh and the bread don't get me started it was the most moist bread I have ever had, I could tell that the bread had been baked the morning I got there. Excellent wine selection. Definitely should go there!

On the wing of a prayer I chose this spot for dinner without reservations and due to the timely arrival of our friend (we were 20 min late) we were able to secure 3 seats with minimal wait time (he arrived at 7 to put our names on the waitlist and was told about an hour but we were all seated by 7:30 hallelujah). This is possibly as intimate - yet casual and friendly - a dining experience as you can get. It only seats like 10 people inside and you're eating at the bar watching your food being prepped and cooked for you. Bar is actually a misnomer as you can order drinks but it's really just a bar top that circles the kitchen. The food is all small plates. I think I heard them recommend 6-8 plates but since my visits to London are always food tours I wanted to be conservative. We ended up splitting the puntarelle, pollack brandade, speck flatbread, burrata, lamb rib between 3 of us (two of us having had coffee & cakes at 5pm followed cocktails and bar snacks before dinner). All the food was really good. My favorite dish was actually the puntarelle which had the texture of salted peeled broccoli stems but much more bitter. Followed closely by the speck flatbread which was like a mini pizza with stichelton cheese - salty, savory, goodness.I really dug the place though it's really too casual and too communal to be a special occasion date place. More of a really great place to be a regular.
