Four Seasons Hotel Chicago Reviews from The Last Year
The best hotel experience I have had in years.
The Four Seasons - Chicago is in a perfect location, recently renovated, and has great food and beverage options. The staff is very friendly and always professional. It was my 4th time staying at this property in the last 3 years and I have never had a negative experience with anything. The spa/gym is world class. I used it every morning for a work out and steam/sauna session. I left a 3 night business trip of long days working and late dinners feeling refreshed because of the amenities and staff.
Family Fun Trip
We just visited Chicago to take our boys (5 and 3) to a few museums. Our stay at the Four Seasons was wonderful. We received a warm and personal welcome on arrival with Teddy bears for the boys. The pool was a ton of fun and we enjoyed being able to order food and drinks. We received room service one evening and ate at the restaurant on the premises (Adorn) the other night. The hostess at Adorn was a god-send at dinner. Our three year old was understandably tired after our visit to the field museum. The hostess kindly came to our table and asked if there was anything they could do to help. I suggested bringing a dessert menu (even though we hadn’t eaten yet) and she sweetly offered, “I have just the thing.” She brought out a huge ice cream Sunday “on the house” for the boys to share and they also rushed out their entrees so it wouldn’t be dessert only dinner! There were other positives of course but this really stood out. Travel with children can be challenging and it was nice to have the whole staff on our team.
Great experience
The front desk and concierge staff were courteous and accommodating. The staff in the new restaurant in the lobby was pleasant and aimed to please. We highly recommend the Four Seasons. Last month we stayed at the Peninsula and much prefer the Four Seasons.
A perfect experience and the best nights sleep!
The Four Seasons in Chicago completely exceeded my expectations. My favorite part was the bed! It was the best night sleep and set me up for success for my business meetings. The housekeeping department was incredibly responsive and helped me press my outfits in record time and everyone on property was attentive and friendly. I would love to return with my family as I found this property to perfect for both business and leisure. I saw a fun ice cream cart pull up outside my room for the family staying next to me and I immediately wanted to bring my own kids back just for that experience! By the way, there were young kids staying next to my room and I never heard a peep! The views of the skyline were also perfection and it was such an enjoyable stay. Thank you Four Seasons Chicago!
First Class Hotel
Excellent hotel from the accommodations to the wellness and spa, first class experience. The staff is gracious, courteous, thoughtful and professional. I was recognized by name throughout my stay. Housekeeping sought me out personally to thank me for tipping, that was a very pleasant first!
It’s all in the service
My family enjoyed our stay at the Four Seasons. They were very attentive to guests needs including our little ones. It was great to see the engagement and the staff all the way from the door to the in room service was great. My wife utilized the spa on a few occasions and said the team there was also excellent.
Great family spot in Chicago
Very welcoming for the kids who were excited about their new toy at check in, the indoor pool, the kids play room and the sweet little crib and teddy for the baby. Location is convenient to Michigan Ave for walking and public transit. The price point is a bit higher but overall we got what we paid for in the good way!
Luxury, comfort, Clean
The Staff make you feel special. From the valet, to front desk to room Service. Christine L, Patricia, Christopher K. help make our stay exceptional My Wife is very picky about cleanliness and typically does not feel comfortable at other hotels but feels comfortable at the four seasons as it is immaculate. Everything about the room is luxury and comfort making it hard to leave the room.
Amazing Property!
This Four Seasons is amazing all around from the staff to the views! Perfect location for Michigan Avenue shopping. Easy to get in and out. Pros: - Amazing top notch staff all around - Very clean and well maintained building - Great views from the rooms of the city / lake (potentially) - Room is quite for being it the heart of the city. They have white noise machines in the room too you can use - On site bar and restaurant had amazing food and service - Great location Cons: -None I really enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back again!
Sweet Home Chicago
Without a doubt there Four Seasons delivered a great experience and stay for the family and I. From a corner suite on an upper floor we had great views of the city and the lake, even though it was overcast weather for most the trip. The Four Seasons delivers on the smallest of details that make a stay with them the highlight of our trips to visit our original home of Chicago.
we arrived at the hotel on Friday 29 March at 3.
45pm, we were told to wait in the lobby for 45 minutes as room was not ready, after 80 minutes wait in the lobby and no text from the check in desk, we enquired if our room was ready, we were told to wait longer. We were going to opera that night and time was getting very close to be able to change and head there. After getting upset, we were offered another room with city view instead of lake view as booked and were promised financial compensation by the Manager. When we checked out, we were charged the full price of the reservation. The next day, we went to have breakfast in the hotel, after waiting for 45 minutes waiting for a simple order that did not require any cooking that did not seem to be coming , we walked away and went to a local place for breakfast instead
March 2024 Four Seasons Chicago Stay - Exceptional
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago. The staff was the highlight of the stay, particularly for how they handled all the details of the stay. From check-in to check-out, the staff was friendly and efficient, making sure that everything went smoothly. They went out of their way to anticipate my needs and were always available to answer my questions. I would definitely stay there again.
Top Flight Hotel with a great location and staff
We had a wonderful trip to Chicago, and our stay at the Four Seasons Hotel was a major reason for it. From our arrival to departure we couldn't have asked for more. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable (bordering on plush), and it had an incomparable view. It's conveniently located to great shopping, fine dining of all sorts, parks, the Lakefront, etc. The Front Desk and Concierge are invaluable resources to help you plan an enjoyable visit.
Four Seasons Chicago continues to provide Top Level Service, Staff and Product
From reservations to concierge to Hotel Manager to Bar Tender and Staff this hotel is 5 star for service, friendliness, knowledgable staff who take genuine care and concern for their customers. Toni began our experience by correcting a reservation error we made and could not undo costing us thousands of dollars. Toni identified the problem and recalled a prior conversation we had months before and went out of her way to not only get our money refunded but to find a better value and room for our family needs. Chris Kelly was an exceptional Manager and greeted us upon arrival and throughout our stay and researched our family and educated himself with our history with Four Seasons to ensure continuity in service and top level quality that we have become accustomed to having only stayed at Four Seasons Hotels. It reinforced our decision that only Four Seasons knows how to service with well trained educated staff and provide a top tier product. Anita Marshall and Family
Excellent stay
Excellent stay at this wonderful hotel. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, and they made my stay totally enjoyable. This is my third time staying at this Four Seasons location. I highly recommend this hotel. Clean, comfortable, quiet, excellent amenities, close to Chicago landmarks, and beautiful, scenic view of Lake Michigan directly out my window.
Go ahead and treat yourself! You are worth it!
We decided to splurge and stay at Four Seasons to attend a special event in the area. It was worth the extra $$ spent! Our taxi from O’ Hare was a blessing during busy traffic and a nice price. We didn’t have to pay for parking downtown and could walk easily to all the attractions we wanted. The hotel staff were very gracious and friendly. We recommend this place for a pampered Chicago getaway.
Amazing service
Absolutely amazing service. I stayed there once and now I stay there every time I go to Chicago. Everyone is very pleasant to interact with and seems to be happy to work there. You can definitely feel the attention to details and how much they go out of their way to help their guests.
Great Trip at Four Seasons Chicago!
We went for a long weekend to enjoy some family time and stayed here for with our three children in connecting rooms. Everything was really perfect from the moment we arrived to our departure. A few highlights. 1. We arrived early and thanks to our travel advisor, she got us an early check-in so we were checked in and enjoying Chicago by noon! 2. We had a great welcome amenity, tailored for us and somethings especially for the kids. 3. Rooms were spacious, clean, modern (all of what you would expect from a Four Seasons). 4. Location was GREAT 5. We were able to have breakfast in our room every day, for free, thanks to our travel advisor, she always arranges this when we book a Four Seasons. 6. To make the most of the day on our last day, we were able to keep our rooms until 3PM which was perfect so we didn't have to rush out on Sunday but got to enjoy almost a full day there. It was really a perfect trip! A special shout out to Beth at Destination Dreams Unlmited, beth@ddutravel.com for the wonderful weekend!
The best place you can stay in Chicago.
The Four Seasons Chicago is our go to place to stay. Our daughter goes to school in the city so we try to see her once a month. We stay at this property for the following reasons: 1. Commitment to service is second to none. (I am privileged to travel the world for business and pleasure so I know how service impacts me and its importance). 2. From the team members on the street to those working in the main lobby, customer service, a smile and treating me like I’m the most important guest is the prevailing attitude. 3. The quality of the room. I’m so grateful that the most standard room is well appointed and maintained. The team in the rooms allocation committee have been so kind and generous to me. This past weekend in a very full hotel I was upgraded to an amazing suite! ( allow me to share a secret, introduce yourself. Give the team a chance to know you). 4. We’ve stayed at many of the Four seasons worldwide. This particular property feels like home. So in sum, the hotel is exceeds our expectations. In today’s hospitality industry it is the best luxury perk you can hope for.
The suite was amazing
I’m not sold on the newish concept that the Four Seasons adopted (deejay playing dance type music, etc.), but I looked past that because the high floor suite with ridiculously stunning views and creature comforts put this couple in zen mode to the point that we psychologically escaped from the world for a few days. It was awesome. The room was ginormous and quiet with a separate living area. The large bedroom with king sized bed absorbed our tired bodies and sent us into a peaceful and relaxed night of sleep. Highly recommended.
A Wintery Weekend in Chicago.
We were in Chicago for a series of receptions around a friend's 60th birthday. Four Seasons Hotels are some of our favorite places to stay and the Chicago Four Seasons easily met our high expectations with a greaat location, very good amenities and welcoming staff. We arrived very early in the day, exxpecting to wait for a few hours for our suite. However, Mason, at check-in, kindly checked us into our room immediately. We found the front desk equally accommodating three days later for a late check-out. The suite was very pleasant and super clean. The bed was extremely comfortable with lovely linens. We enjoyed an excellent breakfast and evening cocktails in the Acorn restaurant with attentive and friendly bar and wait staff. The spa, pool and gym are very nice, albeit the pool/hot-tub needing greater supervision with so maany children staying at the hotel over the long weekend (President's Day). We look forward to returning to the hotel on our next visit to Chicago.
Met a friend here for breakfast and was not disappointed.
We filled up on grub then got a nice massage before going out on the town as per usual. Very attentive staff all around.
The Four Seasons Chicago is our home away from home.
From the moment we arrive until the day of our departure, every aspect of each visit is nothing short of extraordinary. The warm and welcoming reception at valet and the front desk sets the tone for our entire stay. The staff's genuine friendliness and service makes us feel like valued guests from the outset. Our rooms are always impeccably clean with a keen attention to detail. The luxurious linens and thoughtful amenities add an extra layer of comfort and serenity to our stays. The social lounge is spacious, vibrant, vibey, always decorated beautifully and the best for people watching and cocktailing. Brunch at Adorn is an absolute MUST. In-room dinning is exceptional, and the chicken fingers are necessary. A visit from the Ice Cream Man is a treat that guarantees a smile on your face. The new pool/hot tub/spa space is top notch and so much fun for the little ones. Such a lovely accommodation to have on site and it looks fantastic! Lastly, the concierge is truly unlike any other. I commend Kristen and the guest services team for their invaluable services and never missing a beat. Their willingness to go above and beyond to accommodate us and make every single visit so special contributes significantly to the overall enjoyment of our stay. Their commitment to excellence, coupled with the warm hospitality of the staff, creates an unforgettable experience for our family. We undoubtedly cherish the memories of our stays and eagerly look forward to our next visit.
Just stayed here for the weekend after not having been in
Just stayed here for the weekend after not having been in several years. It was awesome. The renovations were bright, luxurious and awesome. I know they have yet to renovate the rooms but they were nice. If I had to add one thing, I wish there were a little more comfortable seating but it's fine. The man working by the taxis at night was so kind and observant. The man who took our bags up was also so warm and kind. And our housekeeper was so accommodating. We ate twice in the restaurant (once for breakfast and once for dinner) and both were great. Would highly recommend and would definitely go back.
I used to come to Four Seasons often for their AYCE
I used to come to Four Seasons often for their AYCE Mediterranean- and Asian-inspired brunches that used to be offered, but, unfortunately, they do not serve those any longer. However, we have returned to dine-in for their regular brunch, and it has been a pleasant experience - service is friendly and on point. Great place to book if you're only looking to stay in the DT area - rooms are clean and kept well. Plenty of shopping and attraction points nearby. +clean rooms +friendly service
Chicago in the summer is hot.
This was particularly new to me because I am from California and the weather stays the same for the most part. Even when it rained it was still hot. My guy, bestie, and me were walking down the main drag and got thirsty for something stronger than water. Of course, as I looked up I saw the Four Seasons and thought rooftop bar on this beautiful day in the neighborhood. Get in, got to the elevators and see the sign that it was closed for the season...forgot why but jus why? Fuqn annoying. Ok then we tried to have drinks at the inside bar and it was closed and the restaurant was the only place open for drinks with a very limited menu because it was past lunch. Oh boy, again; WTF, no one randomly stops at the Four Seasons to have drinks though the day. Odd.. but hey we made do what it was going to do by all means....you can put it on the list but make sure to call before you show up!
The Holiday High Tea at the Four Seasons Adorn Restaurant
The Holiday High Tea at the Four Seasons Adorn Restaurant is a real disappointment, especially when compared to the holiday teas at the Drake and Penninsula. First...there is no music at all, except an annoying throb of bass coming from contemporary recorded music at the nearby bar. We were in some side room with no holiday decorations and no views. It is a hard-edge environment, so the tile floors and high ceilings created a real din...not at all a quiet, relaxing ambiance. The server, friendly at first, disappeared for most of the tea and could be glimpsed now and then dashing into other dining rooms serving others. The scones are tiny mini-scones and when I asked for an extra one, I was told, after a long wait, that there were not extras. Most teas allow for an extra item or two, so this seemed surprisingly stingy. The price is high--the same as you pay elsewhere ($150 per person). The food is so-so and not much of it. On the plus side, the receptionist was very welcoming, we were seated a bit early and moved to a side table when one was available to help with the noise. Warning: this is really a bad choice of holiday teas in Chicago!

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.

Reservations could be posted for a variety of reasons. Most likely, the person who secured the reservation can no longer attend - to avoid accruing a "no show" fee, they can find someone to take their place.
