Our most memorable stay at the Four Seasons Bora Bora!! A thank you to Aurelian( Manager at Arii Moana) , Daniel(Guest Relations) , Germaine(professional Canoer/Videoographer/Motu Special dinner ), Ari( at the Beach), and Mana (Snorkeling excursion)!! The Polynesian culture and warmeth permeated the whole resort. The Pros: Scenery was unforgettable. April is an amazing month to visit!! Some rain but quickly departs. This is the place for rest and relaxation. No nightlife. Just chill and relaxing vibe. The Snorkeling Lagoon is full of more than 80 species of marine life from butterfly fish to Batfish! Quite wonderful to swim in everyday. Maybe more than an acre of swimming and beautiful corals being grown in the lagoon. Water was warm, they do not encourage feeding of fish like prior stay. The over the water bungalows are still in good shape and we happened to see sea turtles and a black-tip reef shark underneathe. The food is much improved from our last visit 10 years ago! Everything pretty much looks exactly the same from our first visit which is highly incredible! The grounds are immaculate! Arii Moana has delicious french sauces accompanying many of their signature dishes and specials. Fare Hoa had great grilled dishes: hamburgers, chicken hot dogs, tuna, mahi mahi and rib-eye steaks. (Wish they would add traditional Polynesian Chicken Fa Fa and Coconut donuts!!) Vaimiti was asian/thai/japanese fare- great also plus the best to view sunsets! The Cons: Even paradise has some hiccups… The month of April is rainy and sometimes causes insects to be more evident- contact the property directly for details. We hoped for more traditional Polynesian dishes plus the traditional american cuisine. The boutique for men and women's clothing need more size variety. Light weight, Full Zip up cardigans for men and women with the Four Seasons logo. The Gym needs to be better cleaned and monitored. A couple of days we visited there was sand on the machines and on the floor. The Spa is wonderful and the masseuse are very well- trained. The one thing missing was a steam room or sauna. All in all, we loved the people and their genuine hospitality and love for what they do and we hope to return!!

Be the first to ReplyBeautiful location, but not five-star
We are about to complete our stay at the Four Seasons Bora Bora. It was at a beautiful location. However, we were a little surprised by how the resort presented itself. Pros: - Beautiful lagoon and coral habitat - Very kind staff - Onsite pearl shop is helpful and staff at all boutiques are very nice - The massage was relaxing Cons: - Inadequate food and drinks options: there are times when no restaurants open on the property. Also, it is hard to find a good bartender - Golf carts are around all the time, which takes away the tropical island experience. Instead, it felt like living on a main street/highway - Pool is closed for a portion of our stay, which eliminated opportunities for sunbathing - If you are in the farther wing of bungalows, it’s a 20-mins walk to any amenities. Golf carts are available to drive you, but service was spotty. - We timed our flight so we could check into the room on time (at 15:00). However, when checked in, we were told that our room wasn’t ready and that we would be notified through the app. We had to sit at a restaurant with our back packs under the heat of Bora Bora to wait for the bungalow. At the end, we were never notified that the room was ready and had to walk up to the reception to check. - Bedroom blinds do not function for the entirety of our stay, and we notified staff right away when we found out the issue. We were woken up early every morning. After our few attempts trying to get it fixed, on the last night, staff attempted a patching job by installing a poorly fitted curtain that doesn’t even close and looks ugly. - Safe is inoperable the entire stay. 3 attempts to get it opened but still no luck. - Under-bungalow lights inoperable despite 3 attempts reaching out with staff. - Inadequate amount of towels provided for the number of guests (i.e., 2 guests) in the room and the amenities in the bungalow (bath tub, shower, going down to the ocean directly from the bungalow) Summary: while in a beatiful setting, we struggle to see how this is a Five-star hotel. For the price, there are several comparable/better hotels nearby (e.g. you can see the St. Regis from our room). We would not return to this location.
Be the first to ReplyIt was a dream come true. The overwater bungalows are pure magic. You can’t even believe your eyes.
THERE IS NO BETTER DESTINATION! No better resort! No better on-site hospitality staff than the FS Bora Bora!! It is a bucket list destination. My second time at the resort and we are counting down the seconds until we return next year. The hotel staff remembers your name with an hours of check-in. They take care of every single detail you could imagine. The breakfast buffet is incredible and curated around health and wellness. The overwater bungalows are a dream come true and walking around the grounds makes you feel like you’re actually dreaming. it is the most magical place on earth and I’m so beyond grateful for the experience and so grateful for the connections we made. We jet skied on the property, boarded on the property, and the staff organized an exciting ATV tour off site for us. This is a vacation where you can absolutely unwind, relax, do it luxuriously and feel like you’re private from start to finish. I cannot say enough about each, and every staff member who went above and beyond to welcome myself, and my family. We had two overwater bungalows, and my teenage girls are still raving about how incredible the entire experience was.
Be the first to ReplyStunning! Most beautiful place on earth!
We arrived for a week stay for our 30th anniversary! We have been fortunate enough to travel around the world to many of the top beaches in Caribbean, Indian Ocean, Mediterranean and more. It’s like a cross between Cayman Islands ocean and Hawaiian/Costa Rica tropics. The staff, 6 star, the food is superb. See you soon! Maruu’uru!

Timeless place. Our 2nd visit in a year to FS Bora Bora. Paradise on earth and amazing service. Highly recommend. Amenities are comprehensive considering how remote the location is. Service is prompt and outstanding. Staff are very friendly and caring. We will come back yet again.
Be the first to ReplyBEST VACATION EVER!!!
Best vacation ever!!!! This was my bucket list trip, and now it will be my every 2-3 year trip! I can’t thank Pacific for Less-our travel agency -enough for this amazing experience! Four Seasons is breathtaking in BoraBora! So very happy we stayed in the overwater bungalow with Mountain View’s… more beautiful than I ever dreamed!! Pacific for Less booked us the best itinerary… THANK YOU THANK YOU!!
Be the first to ReplyAmazing property with even more amazing staff
Spectacular property with staff that were the best I’ve ever experienced (and I’ve traveled the world at great properties). And the private snorkeling lagoon with over 100+ species of tropical fish was an amazing bonus
Be the first to ReplyBest Vacation Ever
We enjoyed all the all activities ranging from jealous to palm weaving. We enjoyed palm weaving, drumming, and opening coconuts with Sam. He was a person with a good attitude that guided us through all these activities. We enjoyed our stay more because of him. It was a truly unforgettable experience.

we have had the privilege of spending many nights in five star hotels, but this hotel is far and away, the best we’ve ever been to- The management team is solution oriented and truly cares about the guests. The hotel is beautiful. The grounds are unbelievable and the staff is kind, courteous and genuine- no question the best hotel resort we have ever been to-
Be the first to ReplyAmazing Hotel and Staff
Amazing Hotel and Staff We had the opportunity to stay at both St Regis and the Four Seasons. People ask what was better and I would say both are great and offer different experience but nice to split so that you have the feel of two vacations. But can't go wrong with what ever you decide but for us it was the staff, people and everyone that remember our names food orders we like. It's the people and staff that really make your vacation feel special the rest is just a hotel but a wonderful one. We have traveled the world and this is a magical place and amazing people. I would put on your list to experience.
Be the first to ReplyLuxurious Polynesian Paradise.
We just returned from our 3rd family vacation to this magnificent resort, and are already counting down to our 4th visit. The resort itself is gorgeous - truly picturesque. The over the water bungalows are spacious, very comfortable, and elegantly appointed. The restaurants are delicious, and offer plenty of variety. The best part of the resort is the staff - Genuine warm Polynesian hospitality.
Be the first to ReplyWorth it!!!
Absolutely breathtaking! We had the most beautiful honeymoon planned with Pacific For Less. Cathi from Pacific For Less brought our dream to life! This resort is pure luxury. The service, the spa, the amenities, the pool, bar, and grounds are so beautiful. Definitely worth the splurge and we are already planning our next visit back for a special anniversary in the coming years!
Be the first to ReplyBest tropical location on earth
This resort is like no other, our tropical romantic getaway was super amazing. We have been to 4S Maldives, Hawaii, Malaysia, Mauritius, and now Tahiti in our opinion this is the best.we will be returning absolutely. The natural beauty and facilities we to die for. The service was excellent, and the food was, given the remote location, good to very good. We did struggle with breakfast offering a bit. The staff appeared genuinely friendly and extremely pleased to assist us at all times. Thank you reception for making our dream even better.
Be the first to ReplyThe best of Bora Bora
Overall, amazing stay. Staff is top notch. Rooms are well appointed and despite the harsh environments (weather, salt water, etc), buildings and rooms are kept up very well. We were traveling with a 6 year old and had an amazing time as a family. We had a lot of fun on the beach, hanging out in the pool, and did multiple excursions/activities. Our son really enjoyed spending time at the kids club, thanks to the amazing staff there, especially Elise. We've been to a few other Four Seasons kids clubs (Cabo, Lanai, etc) and felt like this one was the best kids club. The pool/beach staff, club cart drivers and restaurant staff were all super friendly and attentive as well. If you have not been to Bora Bora before, the only thing to be aware of is that the dining options on most resorts tend to be limited (understandably so given the remote nature of the location) and be prepared to budget for the food cost, which is probably the highest you'll see anywhere. But then again, we didn't come to Bora Bora for the culinary experience (don't get me wrong, food at the hotel was excellent but it's not what you travel there for) Overall, amazing experience. We'll be back.
Be the first to ReplyGood hotel, but needs updates and refurbishment to be great
Stayed at FS Bora Bora in an overwater mountain view bungalow in February 2024 Here are my pros and cons Pros: Resort is beautiful and well maintained Warm crystal clear water you can spend the entire day snorkeling in Fish always visible in the lagoon and underwater bungalow Staff is very friendly, chill, and accomodating Very nice pool area and bar menu. Sunscreen and aloe are provided. You can call for a ride for a golf cart at anytime to take you anywhere in the resort Cons: Pillow are uncomfortable and way too soft. There is a “pillow menu” but it's all the same. Both me and my husband woke up with neck pain every single morning. They need to add more firm pillow options. The smell is the room is really bad, I'm not quite sure what it is, either humidity, pesticide, or mildew. Either way it is unacceptable for such a high end luxury hotel to have rooms smelling this way. The food is very average and bland for how expansive it is. The options are lacking. Both me and my husband got food poisoning and it ruined the second half of our vacation, we couldnt believe something like this could happen at a four seasons resort. We never left the resort so it could have only happened there. Not sure if it is because of the flies or birds that often jump onto the tables and pick at people's left overs. Very limited mini fridge options and no snacks in the room. We have been to many hotels and there is always something. Forced to order room service which comes with a 30$ delivery fee every time. The wait for golf carts is sometimes over 10-15 minutes The main island taxi only goes once per day, giving you only 2ish hours there, and costs 50$ per person round trip. Should be free and go more frequently. You are a luxury resort, some things need to be a given. It's almost like they don't want you going to experience the main island so you only spend money in the resort. My husband almost tripped many times on the walkway from the room to the resort. There are many uneven protruding boards and some which almost give way. This absolutely has to be fixed The included breakfast buffet is a one time meal, unlike at other resorts. For example I can't come over to get a cappuccino before my breakfast and then have breakfast afterwards.. they give you a “cheque” you have to sign as proof you came and then no more breakfast for you! Water pressure of the shower is very weak. The rooms themselves are somewhat tired feeling, could use an update It's 40 degrees all day and none of the restaurants or reception has air conditioning. The website doesn't mention that the walk to the restaurants From the rooms is 20 mins. I think overall, the Resort needs some refubrishment and TLC, we still enjoyed most of our vacation, but several factors stopped us from loving it
Be the first to ReplyTop notch resort with great staff
Superb resort with friendly, outstanding staff. Would return in a heartbeat. Nice touches….as staff waving goodbye from the dock after checking out of the resort to the nightly “turndown” stories with evening turndown to the wonderful note of “thanks” from the resort on Valentine’s Day. Just a fantastic place to stay.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful resort in paradise
We recently spent 3 nights at the Four Seasons Bora Bora. This was our 9th Four Seasons to visit (Lanai, Lisbon, Chicago, Ubud, Mauritius, San Francisco, Scottsdale, Johannesburg) and I would rank it towards the top in terms of beauty of the resort, food ranks lower down, room quality somewhere in the middle. The resort itself is beautiful and the grounds are well maintained. It is awesome that there is a big reef conservation effort going on at the resort. We snorkeled in one of the lagoons, with a marine biologist, which I highly recommend. We always enjoyed watching the fish swimming around as we walked to and from our overwater bungalow. The resort is fairly spread out and bikes are not available, so be prepared to walk a lot, or call for a golf cart ride. There were only 2 dining options for dinner (3 if you include room service), which was a little disappointing considering the size of the resort. Be sure to make your dinner reservations before you arrive or immediately upon arrival. We did not and had to eat at the same restaurant all 3 nights. We did enjoy the food though have heard others say they thought it was so so. Service at the restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner is very slow, so pack your patience. You don't need to pack a beach bag or flip flops, as those are provided in the room. A washer and dryer is available for free if you need to do any laundry, which was convenient. We had a Mountain View overwater room with a pool and gorgeous sunset views, which I would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful time at The Four Seasons Bora Bora but there were a couple of issues. We had electrical problems in our bungalow that we reported to the housekeeper but she never reported it to the front desk. We also found the concierge and Event Team to be rude and uncooperative. And the service at the restaurants was quite slow for mo apparent reason. But overall it's a gorgeous resort in the middle of paradise.
Be the first to ReplyFS Bora Bora is the best
This was our second family vacation at FS Bora Bora, and we enjoyed it just as much as the first - we can't wait to come back! We have stayed at several different Four Seasons hotels and resorts, and this one has become our favourite! The resort itself is gorgeous, as are the breathtaking views. The food is delicious, and the resort restaurants provide plenty of options.
Be the first to ReplyOutstanding one week stay at the beautiful Four Seasons Bora Bora
We just returned from a fabulous trip to the Four Seasons Bora Bora. It's a long journey from the East Coast to get there but it's well worth it once you arrive to your bungalow over the crystal blue waters of the French Polynesia. The grounds are impeccable and the resort was much more spacious than I expected. Our bungalow was really large and we kept it nice and cold the entire stay despite the heat outside. The beds and bedding were heavenly and if you have the ability to get the plunge pool, go for it. We were in it every day of our stay. The food at the Mediterranean restaurant, Arii Moana, & the Asian restaurant, Vaimiti, were outstanding. At Vaimiti, specifically loved the pork gyoza, beef stir fry & shrimp vermicelli. If you want sushi, you have to order 2 days in advance (it must take a long time to catch that tuna), but we were not impressed with it. Also, the beach bar has the best Mahi Mahi sandwich and sweet potato fries. The prices are mind-blowing but we encountered the same pricing at the other resorts and restaurants on the island. The beach bar bartenders were fantastic and we loved the Mai Tai's and margaritas. Recommendations: *Concierge can book the jet ski tour for you and it's outstanding! Lasts about 2 1/2 hours and you visit a lovely beach and have an amazing lunch at the Bora Bora Beach club. *You can get snorkel masks at the concierge and use them to snorkel the lagoon thorough your entire stay. We also got noodles from the Dive Hut and used them to float in the ocean. *You can book a water transfer at noon daily to go to the main island. The wine and alcohol were extremely expensive so we went to the Chin Chin market and loaded up on bottles of wine and rum and had a nice lunch over the water at Saint James. *There is no ice in your room so I used the chat option to request ice multiple times. I was charged $20 each time upon checkout. The last day of our trip, we realized there was an ice machine where the housekeeping huts are. Overall a fabulous trip with the best service and most welcoming people.
Be the first to Reply4th stay at the 5-Star Four Seasons Bora Bora where the people make the difference.
This was our fourth visit to the Four Seasons Bora Bora since we first stayed there the year of its opening in 2008. Once again we returned with our 2 children. It was a magical experience. We have travelled far and wide, including to other Four Seasons properties. This is a 5-star property where the people really make a difference. The Four Seasons Bora Bora remains our favorite Four Seasons destination, and the best for total rest and relaxation. There’s a reason Bora Bora is regularly named one of the most beautiful islands in the world. One never gets used to the stunning views of Bora Bora’s lagoon set against the stunning Mount Otemanu. The sunsets here are unlike anything we have experienced elsewhere. From the unique layout featuring individual private overwater bungalows that provide the ultimate in luxury, to the smaller lagoons with their coral reefs teaming with exotic fish and plant life to explore, to the immaculately kept grounds, the resort is an experience for all the senses. From the moment one steps off the boat, a short 15 minutes from the airport, you enter a world of peace and tranquility. This is pure escapism. Close your eyes and the world seems to slow, where the only sounds you hear are the waves lapping the shore, the ocean in the distance, and the breeze blowing through the coconut palms. Here you are as far from the hustle and bustle of civilization as can be. Even when the resort is close to capacity, you almost feel as if you have the entire place to yourself. And that’s what the resort aims to do. What makes The Four Seasons Bora Bora particularly special beyond the property itself are the familiar and friendly faces and the care and attention to detail from resort’s first-class staff. From the moment one arrives, you are always made to feel special here. The French Polynesian people are warm and welcoming, and caring and passionate about what they do. Here, the local staff do more than just provide great service, they are an invaluable part of the entire guest experience, helping the resort establish a deep sense of place with an increasing focus on sustainability. One gets the sense here that the resort genuinely cares about its people, and in turn they take care of guests. Staff identity and culture are supported with their choice of wearing traditional Polynesian attire on a weekly basis. We’ve delighted in engaging with the entire team and learning more about their culture each time we visit, all under the care and attention of Mr. Chanet, the property’s General Manager, who took the time to reach out during our stay. Most of the people who work at the Four Seasons Bora Bora are locals and they are a wealth of knowledge on everything Bora Bora and French Polynesia in general. For first timers they will help suggest activities and experiences, for regulars they are great source of up-to-date information on the island and its surroundings. Resort staff provided invaluable assistance throughout our stay. It began with the wonderful service from Anais at the front desk who welcomed us at the airport and then escorted us all the way through check in to our overwater bungalow. Angèle, Marie, and Julio at Terre Nui help oversee the best breakfast buffet in the world, and Jeanne is always a delight to see at dinner. At Faré Hoa, the beach bar and grill, a variety of lunch options are served under the hard work of Patricia and her team. Sebastian, the sommelier, regaled us with stories from his many travels, while our server Germain, who is a fountain of knowledge on the island, its ways and its people, was a delight to chat with during dinners at Arii Moana. Chef Johann even went out of his way to delight our daughter with her favorite lunch on more than one occasion. Mathilde, the resident Marine Biologist, is a wealth of information on the lagoons and she took the time to show us an entire world underwater. Mathilde was more than happy to assist with our daughter’s school project, even capturing some underwater pictures for her to use. Much work continues to be done to restore and expand the coral gardens since our last visit. Bring your snorkel gear or grab some from concierge. The swim in the coral lagoons became a part of our routine, with new discoveries each day. Last but not least, the best childcare in the world is provided from Maja, at Bora Bora Childcare Service. Speaking of kids, Four Seasons Bora Bora is family friendly. They have a first-class kids club just around the corner from the main pool. Between Maja and the services offered by the kids club, you can leave the little ones for as long as you’d like while you indulge in a massage or other activities, or simply make time for yourself to do absolutely nothing but wade in the pool or lagoon while sipping the cocktail of the day. Each time we visit, Bora Bora casts a spell on us. While there are other great resort destinations around the world, Four Seasons Bora Bora is a destination we hold in highest regard. And.. We’ll be back! What’s new since our last visit? -A top to bottom renovation of their bungalows took place in 2019, and more recently their villas that now feature larger outdoor pools, a private outdoor kitchen area, and more! -Work continues to ensure all of the natural wood and other finishings are refurbished to keep the resort in top condition. -The resort is developing an organic garden to grow a large part of their fruit, vegetable, and herbs. Request a tour! -Arii Moana Restaurant now serves a variety of Mediterranean food most nights, with a weekly Italian specialty night -Terre Nui Restaurant does a weekly fish house on Fridays. We had the most amazing assortment of fresh fish. -Waterproof wristbands replace traditional key cards so you never misplace your room key -A new airline, Air Moana, is starting inter-islands in February, 2023. They will offer some needed competition on flights from Papeete, the capital, to Bora Bora, and elsewhere. For flights from the U.S. to Papeete there are now several airlines that fly to French Polynesia including Delta, United, French Bee, Air France, and Air Tahiti Niu. In addition to Los Angeles and San Francisco, Seattle in a recently added gateway. Do’s and Don’ts Do -Take a private lagoon tour at the resort with their resident Marine Biologist -Have the signature Polynesian Massage in their Spa soon after arriving -Book at least a Mountain View overwater bungalow to enjoy the view over and over and over again!-For longer stays, plan a day trip to the nearby island of Taha’a by helicopter, and private island tour of Taha’a with Haro who took us to a Vanilla plantation and Pearl Farm (you can also visit a rum distillery). All of this can be arranged with the concierge. Don’t -Don’t arrive into French Polynesia so late that you are forced to overnight in Papeete, the capital. Time your arriving flight with an inter-island connecting flight to head straight for Bora Bora the same day. -Don’t leave too soon! Make sure you allocate at least 5 days to get in the right frame of mind and experience pure bliss.
