Go!
Such a fun evening in Greenpoint- delicious dishes, good wine, great drinks. Service and vibe were great, though seating was fairly uncomfortable. The sweet potatoes and other veg dishes were tasty and good sized. Left stuffed and happy!
Be the first to ReplyFairly hip but outstandingly good
Exceptional. Great venue - converted (as the name says) commercial glassworks, not -that- far into Brooklyn. Very warm / engaged waitstaff; original and well-worked through menu; good drinks list. You may feel a little lacking without complex facial hair and/or body art, but you'll have a great time.

Walked from Domino Park to this recommended restaurant and it was worth it. The food was very good and the service was spot on. Can recommend the Hummus, Labne and Griddle bread, Beets Feta and Tuna.

This is a gem! The food was excellent and the service was good and paced for a leisurely and relaxed meal. The humus was the best that I've had. The duck was wonderful, as was the chicken. I highly recommend Glasserie!

Be the first to ReplyGood food, unbearably noisy, chilled red wine
Limited menu choices which made choosing difficult however the food is good. Uncomfortable mismatched seating trying to be cool. Service from our waiter was engaging and he was the star. The rest of the dour staff left us wondering. Itโs unbearably noisy with very loud music, hard surfaces and shrieking guests. Wine is served in small tumblers which just isnโt nice and for some unfathomable reason they serve a lot of the red wine chilled???? Go for the food if you donโt mind the rest. Pity.

Everything was Deliciois but the The Duck was Beyond Excellent - The Star๐ The atmosphere is very comfortable & the staff was attentive & professional...we Highly Recommend this restaurant๐คฉ
Be the first to ReplyMediterranean, with a twist (and a *good* twist at that!).
This resto, at the very northern end of Greenpoint, is easy to overlook. Which would be a shame, because it is Very Much Worth Going To (yes, caps intentional).
Yes, the food is exceptional - the dishes are all "mediterranean", with the quotes intended to point out that whilst the bases are covered, there is always a new/interesting/fascinating twist to most of the stuff you get here. It's the kind of food that you'd get *nowadays* around the region, inflected with hints and suggestions from other places in the world.
And yes, the menu changes constantly, making you want to return quite frequently. (BTW, the brunch special is probably one of the best in town - a plentiful spread of mezze for $25 - enough to feed two with some left over)
The staff is exceptional - they are friendly, helpful, *NICE*, and whatsmore, remember you on your second visit โบ๏ธ
The prices are a little up there, but only if you go in expecting "upscale kebab", which this place very definitely is *not*.
So go, and enjoy!
For those who enjoy savoring
We happened to be in the neighborhood and found this little hidden gem in Brooklyn. I guess Glasserie qualifies as Mediterranean because it offers baklava, hummus and the like in its menu, but itโs unlike any Mediterranean restaurant Iโve experienced. Though its menu seems at first simple, Glasserie shows eccentricity in its unique mix of flavors, making it clear it offers true gourmet dishes without overindulging. The term โMediterraneanโ makes our thoughts delve into images of different regions of the Italian coast to Greece to Turkey, so it can encompass so many different cuisines that its use can become dรฉclassรฉ when trying to specify. However, the term seems appropriate for Glasserie, as it does not endeavor to be one thing or the other but instead offers a creative and delicate mix of flavors. I am yet to return and try dinner, for brunch was a delightful experience. As for cost, at first the menu is not expensive and dishes were of an average European size. What caught our attention was the very small size of the orange juice. True it was freshly squeezed, and indeed it was very good, but is $6 for such a small portion normal in NY? Perhaps. Service was impeccable. We were seated soon after arriving and our waitress was professional and pleasant. Atmosphere and restaurant design were very nice. Bathroom was clean. Iโd say that combined aspects of the whole experience makes cost fair, and it is really for those who enjoy savoring well prepared and planned food.
Be the first to ReplyMediterranean with a twist
Nice variety of food options on the menu. Meat and no-meat dishes are offered. A fusion of Lebanese and other Mediterranean food is very refreshing. There is something suitable for every taste.
The decor is comfortable and unassuming. The hosts make you feel welcome at all times.
Sunday brunch
We had to wait a little bit I think that is normal for Sunday around 12 30 pm. We had the sampler mezza, the lamb sausage and the falafel. Sampler was pretty good and lamb sausage was delicious. Cool hip space.

We were a bit disappointed with the last dinner we had, the chef has changed and removed a lot of the flourish from the dishes. There was less depth of flavor and a couple of the best dishes are gone from the menu. We took people who had never been before and were sorry we had been raving about it quite so much.
Be the first to ReplyNice vibe but cuisine is average ....
Fun place for drinks and nice bar scene in the Greenpoint area of Brooklyn. The crowd is eclectic and the place is well done with a cozy feel and nice decor. The food however although creative with a promising Mediterranean flare falls short on delivery... the food is just ok... we had the sea bass which was bland and a bit undercooked ... and while the chicken was tasty the potatoes were on the raw side ... the fresh herb salad and flatbread though, were good. I would go again and try some of the other appetizers with drinks because the bar scene is fun and vibrant.
